The Power
Foreword
Load Full StoryNext ChapterEquilibrio was sitting on a rock at the top of a mountain, waiting for the exact moment when sunrise would arise. It had been 5000 years since the last time he saw any country pony.
He let out a tired sigh and turned his gaze to his Cuite Mark: it was a scale, one held a dark cloud, which represented the dark side of Equilibrio, and the other, maintained a huge smoke cloud of light, was the good side of Equilibrio. . She was on the edge, in balance.
For now.
She was self-controlled, but every time she glanced she remembered what it was like to talk to someone.
¡I missed all that!
But also the battles in which to win, and the most difficult.
The stories of her have been burned for centuries. There are no memories of her ...
She was the most powerful and loved alicorn, but also the most feared ...
One day, the new alicorn adored by Star Swirl the bearded, came to steal her love.
She became the new source of water in which the ponies drank, loved and respected her. Threw it away like it was nothing ...
When Equilibrio asked back for the love she offered her, they called her a monster and burned her life records.
Star Swirl didn't say anything, he didn't do anything!
Balance didn't want to fight the wizard he once called a friend, but he had no choice but to get away forever.
Until she got tired of living in hiding.
Some ponies were walking up the mountain, they were workers of the crops that were up there. Equilibro took one look and approached slowly, not wanting to be seen.
"Hey Fred, I still can't believe Princess Cadence wants the villains to come back" exclaimed a pony, her breath a mist of cold.
"No brother, remember that it is a deal. King Sombra has attacked the kingdom again, the princess only wants peace. But we both know that he will not do so, a new villain is approaching, according to Rock."
"¿S-a new villain?"
Equilibrio's curiosity sprang up, drawing closer.
"Yes, Duke Maniac. Rock knows many stories for being a wise old man. But he feels in his bones when something bad is going to happen. And this time, it is worse since Tirek returned and Queen Chysaris" he uttered.
Balance got even closer ...
"¡Duke Maniac! ¿Wh-who is that?" Fred asked awkwardly.
The pony laughed.
"My dear brother, legend has it that Duke Maniac is the enemy of our enemies. The worst villain that another pony could have seen, or see ... But don't worry, for sure Rock is just a crazy pony."
They both shrugged.
No, Balance knew not.
Duke Maniac had been a difficult match for her, he was so dark. Like the abyss. There was no hope for him ...
It took her to turn into his darkness to destroy him. But it cost a time of abyss.
A cold in the back ran through Balance, when a huge ball of ice hit his back. It fell to the ground and a great echo arose.
Two ponies approached to see what was happening, when they met the beautiful alicorn ...
"Oh, by old Rock!" yelled one of them.
"Now is when you mention it ?!" yelled his brother.
Balance looked up at them, trembling. She wanted to see the kingdom again, which led her to act. He staggered and fell to the ground as he attempted to get up, looking up at them in pain.
"Oh poor thing! We must get her to the Crystal Empire quickly!"
"No brother, remember that in the crystal empire there is no one! Only the princess and the villains, making a deal" replied the brother co
"Look at her brother! We can't leave her like this, it doesn't matter, we should take her or I'll tell mom that ..."
The puzzled pony nodded, raising Equilibrio to a large cart with snow, covered her with some blankets to camouflage her.
Equilibrio listened to the murmurs of the two of them, elicited a smile.
...oOOo...
Upon reaching the entrance to the Crystal Empire, some guards stopped them. Balance could see everything through a tiny hole in the warm blanket that had been given to him.
"Long, the princess does not receive visitors" transmitted a guard.
"Uh, but ..." Fred muttered.
"She told us to bring her snow!" his brother interrupted awkwardly.
The guard hesitated, one of the brothers could be heard swallowing with difficulty, the echo of footsteps was heard. And how Equilibrio's smile met the icy air and the threatening gaze of the guard when he uncovered it.
The brothers huddled in place, beads of sweat and guilt.
The cell was narrow and dirty. Balance hated being locked up again, hated it ... The brothers remained intact on the ground, arguing. Equilibrio glanced at the guard, who was distracted, she prepared to cast the spell but was interrupted by someone's voice.
"¡It's unfair, unfair!"
Someone's husky, feminine voice was heard everywhere. The next thing that was heard was someone's outburst, some guards ran to find out what was happening, the brothers shrank even more.
Balance rolled his eyes and sat up.
"¿What was that brother ...? ¿Do you think the princess is still alive?" Fred spat, swallowing hard.
His brother, whose name was still unknown, hugged his brother by the shoulder and smiled warmly at him. Balance wondered how it felt that someone would love her like that.
"My brother, if the princess is not still alive. We will probably be slaves, but slaves of your difficulty in swallowing saliva every time a villain comes in front of us to give us orders" replied his brother with irony.
Balance giggled nervously, he liked the presence of the two brothers. She hadn't noticed that the two brothers were very similar, only their hair color differentiated them, Fred's was orange, and his brother's was dark green.
The coat color of the two brothers were orange, it was warm. Balance looked at his totally white and heavenly fur.
The doors opened, showing the princess ...
"Oh my princess! I am glad to hear that you are alive!" Fred was glad.
The princess gave a typical giggle, then her eyes fell on the alicorn.
"What are the names of the three of you?" he asked, his voice serene. But the princess's face resembled nerves, her hair was not shiny, and her eyes showed fear and exhaustion.
"I am Shager, and this is my brother Fred. She is ... Well we found her in the snow mountains, my princess. We did not want to cause glare" announced, Brother Shager.
The princess nodded wearily, and turned to the alicorn, she couldn't see much of her, due to the bars.
"I am Balance, princess."
The brothers jumped, but this time it was not out of fear. They had never heard a voice so beautiful, and so angelic. It was soft but at the same time like a fantasy tale, just a touch of thick and the most was like listening to a cascade of stories with the best endings.
Cadance wasn't interested in his voice this time, just who it was.
"¿Uhm, are you from around here Balance?" I ask.
"No."
It was his only answer.
"Well ... Join me" Candace indicated.
Balance's eyes widened immediately. See ... See ponies? New ponies, those of their time were ...
Balance didn't know what to do about it. Would the princess know who she really was?
