Fall of Two Worlds: Lunar's Light

We ran, the dark unlit trees blurred past as we ran, there were skeletons everywhere and we had no chance of survival, every step we took, another human dead seemed to appear, there was a blue mist of Nightmare moon nearby that I had seen. So far none of the TV show had happened, no cliff, serpent or anything. The group had kind of shown their Elements, or a sort of Element whilst we were fighting the undead the first time. The seventh was probably Spike or somepony who sacrificed something for the mane six or the good of Equestria, maybe Celestia or somepony like that, I wasn't really necessary and was only in Equestria to close the portal a bit more by bringing the wild magic back. So I wasn't required, I knew where my train of thought was going and didn't like it. But knew it was probably for the best. I stopped running, Rainbow Dash saw me stop and flow over to me, skeletons were already massing.

"What are you doing? We've got to run." Rainbow Dash said, looking down on me, my head hurt from the cut and my ear was sore. I felt a tear in my eye as I looked up at the cyan Pegasus I had briefly called a sister.

"Rainbow Dash, I will hold them off, you just save Ponyville and Equestria. Go!" I replied, pushing Rainbow Dash away, she paused.

"You have to come though. We need you, I need you." Rainbow Dash said, how she said it hit me in the chest like a ton of bricks, that was very unexpected.

"Rainbow Dash. Go now! Before they hurt you! Go!" I shouted, Rainbow was almost crying, I'd known her a very short time but still felt like her family. Rainbow flow higher as the skeletons emerged from the trees, surrounding me.

"All of Equestria shall know of your bravery and sacrifice sir." Rainbow Dash said and flow off toward her friends, I was fighting on my own. I stared at each of the skeletons in turn, all with their great, cold, bright blue eyes. I blinked once and they began to move, around in a circle around me. More poured from the forest and I was completely trapped, no escape.

"Well? Who's first?" I taunted. The dead just kept moving, skulls tilted to look at me. I made ready for a kick and made the most intimidating sound I could, a roar. The skeletons skipped a step and then stopped and turned to me, clawed hands outwards, ready to destroy me. I remembered Dash's words; "All of Equestria shall know of your bravery and sacrifice sir." Rainbow had meant it, once this was over, Pinkie would probably have a party dedicated to me. I knew it was over, my time in life and Equestria was at an end, time to die.

I found myself thinking of home and now, being in Equestria. How fun it had been and great that the land actually excised, I thought that the Elements would stop the collusion and, even though I wasn't a religious man, gave a short prayer that Equestria and Earth would be saved. I felt more blood come down my face from the cut on my forehead and my ear was burning from the slash I had taken earlier. Finally, I took a deep, controlled breathe, and jumped into enemy lines.

Rainbow Dash flow next to Fluttershy, the others galloping below. Rainbow couldn't help but simile proudly at the humans bravery and become saddened at what it meant. Twilight had her horn glowing as she ran, presumably to detect where the ruined castle was.

"Where did the man go?" Pinkie Pie shouted up, only just figuring he was gone. Rainbow felt tears brewing but held them back. Turning her head behind her to look at the dark trees hoping to spot the man fly out victorious, it never came. Rainbow muttered, then realized Pinkie couldn't hear her.

"He, stayed behind. He gave us enogh time to get to the castle and save Equestria and Earth." Rainbow Dash said, loud enogh for Pinkie to hear, but not so that everypony knew Rainbow was on the verge of tears. That man who knew so little of them, who had come with them leaving his own world practically by force. Who had barely met anypony here, only really knowing Applejack fairly well from the market days, had opted to stay behind to save them six ponies and give them time to get to safety and save their world. Even if it meant death. Rainbow Dash saw what true loyalty was and smiled. She barely knew the man also, but still felt proud of his bravery. And hated herself for not staying with him and making everypony else to make a stand together. Pinkie slowed a little and then stopped, so did every other pony.

"Well we can't just leave him there!" Pinkie tried to run back, but Applejack grabbed her pink cotton candy mane with her teeth, letting go only when Pinkie Pie stopped struggling.

"Now sugar cube, we can't go trotting back other there to go to him, he stopped to give us time to get to the Elements of, whatever. We have to keep moving." Applejack said. Twilight nodded and looked at each pony.

"Look, everypony, I saw things when I was out, like the Elements of Harmony. And they aren't what we need to destroy Nightmare moon. The Elements changed and copied into new, pure Elements. The Elements of Humanity. Rainbow Dash, you helped the man when he was hurt. You are Helping. Pinkie Pie, your persistence just then to save the man makes you, the Element of Persistence. Rarity, for never doubting him, or falling away when it was our time of darkness, you are the Element of Loyalty. Applejack, for your fighting skills in defending the man in battle, you are the Element of Defence. Fluttershy, you were kind to the man when he first came to Equestria, helping him fly, giving him a home. Showing kindness that ponies shouldn't give to humans. You are the Element of Kindness. I, for using that magic to stop the skeletons attacking you all, and the man. Am the Element of Magic. The Element of Bravery, I have no idea, but I guess we will find out as soon as we get to the ruins. Come on girls!" Twilight said, the other ponies fell silent and stood completely prone until Twilight began to run again.
