Fall of Two Worlds: Lunar's Light

I smashed through the castle ruins great oak door and stood for a second. Nightmare moon stood on the wreckage of the Elements of Harmony, she said something along the lines of. Treason and death.

"No." I said, limping forwards, blood was dripping from everywhere. My left foreleg was probably broken and I fell myself edge closer to passing out, but there I stood, victorious over the human undead. I limped closer to Nightmare only to get pushed back as Rainbow shot in to hug me.

"Your late." She said.

"I'm alive. Just." Was my reply. I pushed Rainbow back with my good hoof and winced in pain. I edged closer to Nightmare, completely speechless.

"It is you who is the traitor Nightmare, betrayer of your own country. You may have destroyed the Elements of Harmony but as a pure soul is added, so is an Element, as a pure soul changes, so do the Elements, it is not the Elements of Harmony we need, it is not six. But seven, the Elements have changed Nightmare. Persistence, Pinkie Pie. Help, Rainbow Dash, Rarity is Loyalty, Fluttershy is Kindness, Applejack is the Element of Defence, and Twilight is magic." I shouted. Only realising now after Twilight had muttered in her sleep.

"But you mentioned seven, there are only six!" Nightmare moon shouted, horn glowing again.

The cobbled floor cracked open, revealing a black void of nothing. Then bone claws came out of the ground and five skeletons clawed out of the ground. Marching toward us. My head was getting light, this had to end now.

"Ah, yes, the Seventh, new Element, the Element of Sacrifice. That is given to the pure soul. An alien who was willing to end his life to defend two worlds.-" I looked to the other six, seeing shards of stone floating around them. They looked to me in pure hope. My vision became faint, the various cuts were bleeding badly.

"-I gave my life, or was prepared to give my life to save all these ponies and all of Equestria, a place I have lived on for a matter of weeks. I am the Seventh Element." As I finished my words another sphere appeared above my head. Shining brightly, the undead halted their advance and collapsed. I felt my body lift into the air and then, darkness.

Rainbow Dash woke up, head throbbing and something on her neck. She groaned and looked around, the other ponies began to awaken, all but him. The human. The cyan Pegasus jumped up and ran over to him, laying in his own blood, passed out and dying. Tears welded up for the second time as Rainbow Dash shouted for Twilight. The unicorn came over and her horn began to glow. The moon decended and the sun rose for the new day. Tonight was when the worlds collided. And Luna was sitting in the corner of the room, magical energies gloating off her as she sat crying, curled up. Twilight poured magic onto the human, the cuts began to seal up and the pool around him dispersed, still he lay. The dark cyan body of his, lacking any cutie mark lay still and cold. There was a crimson crown on his head and Rainbow saw Twilight wearing a purple gem in crested necklace. The gem was shaped like her moon cutie mark. Rainbow Dash stepped back to Pinkie Pie and the others as Twilight continued to heal the human. Every pony was teary, he had stopped to save them, and stayed alive to help them. The human was the bravest pony, or person Rainbow Dash knew, and at this rate, known. There were cuts all over the humans body and his rainbow hair was now smothered in just blood, smearing the colours.

It had been a good two minutes of pure magic Twilight gave the human before she felt faint and Rarity was required to lend her some. Luna was still crying and the sun was rising faster than normal. Twilight walked toward the night princess and looked at her.

"Luna. How do we close the portal?" Twilight asked quietly. Luna sobbed once more then looked up at the purple unicorn.

"I, I don't know. The portal wasn't me." Luna replied, tears dripping everywhere.

"What?" Twilight asked, shocked. "Your the only one who can open and close the portal."

"Not anymore. Whilst I was controlled by Nightmare, she, she gave the magic energy to another god. One who would use it for true evil." Luna explained.

"Who did you give the magic to? Luna we must know, the fate of Equestria, and Earth lay in your hooves." Twilight asked, looking over to see a new figure standing over the human.

"Luna. You gave it to him didn't you?" Celestia asked. Luna nodded her head and burst into tears again. Pinkie Pie was poking at the man with her nose, trying to wake him.

"My princess, who opened the portal?" Twilight asked, there was an awkward silence for a while and Twilight began to trot over to the human. Who's body was freezing and his heart was barely beating, the man was just barely alive.

"Twilight. She gave the magic to one who is trapped, one I thought dead in his mental cage, Nightmare allowed one to open the portal to his will. Nightmare gave the magic to. Discord." Celestia replied. She then walked over to the human and the seven, then Luna, the eight stood over watching. For a time nothing happened, then Celestia kneeled down beside the man, horn glowing.

"Twilight, Rarity, can you give me as much magic as you can, you too Luna, this man isn't going to die today." Celestia asked, the three nodded, their horns also glowing. Celestia released the magic flow and four horns shot a bright light of white into the humans body.

It was completely black, I felt myself floating in the vast expanse of nothingness.

'Am I dead?' I thought, I tried to look at myself but saw nothing but black. I realised I couldn't fell any part of me either. Unsure of myself, I tried to move or run or something, but my conciseness just floated. I found myself unable to physically speak. So just thought.

'Did we do it?' I wondered. I pictured Earth and Equestria hitting each other, but pushed the thought away and became happy at the thought the portal would now be closed and neither worlds would die. I floated for a second and began to think of home, well, Earth. The memories I had had.

I remembered my job, would they care I was gone? I remembered my school years, writing pony fan fictions and generally living a pretty good life. Then the ponies came and brought me to such an adventurous world, where I had gotten to know the most important ponies in all of My little pony lore. Then became the seventh Element and fought Nightmare moon and completed a sonic rainboom in an attempt to fight off the skeletons. I felt proud of the fact that I had done something to save worlds. I felt a pull to close my (metaphorical) eyes and rest.

Just before I went into eternal bliss, a light appeared, I felt myself draw closer to it and heard voices, faint worried voices. I felt my body reform and my wings appear. Blood had stopped flowing, my breathing returned and I let out a gasp of air. As I returned to Equestria, very much alive.
