Fall of Two Worlds: Lunar's Light

I grabbed onto Discord as we fell, flying uncontrollably through the air. I put my front hooves round him as her shouted at me. We flow straight across Equestria at metric speed. Air wizzed passed and I knew the landing would be the end. No fighting my way out, no healing. But maybe. A miracle.

"Since you won't close the portal freely, I will destroy you completely, giving magical control of the spell, to me." I shouted. I tapped into the wild magic inside me and felt it move through me, I felt a warm felling on my head and saw brown sparks fly about. I continued to pour magic into my spell, Discord struggled to escape, but couldn't go anywhere. I had him. The brown magic continued to gather and when I felt all of the wild magic used. I casted. There was a bright white light and I was shot back from Discord, an explosion rang and all sound but ringing was cut off. I closed the portal between the two worlds and waited, flying out of control through the blind light. I used the remaining spell to place a brown bubble shield around me to protect most of the falling damage. I saw my dark rainbow still following me as I fell. My full vision came back and Discord was gone, only dust. I smiled and fell. Closing my eyes, I embraced the end. This would be the third time in two days I had 'died', but this time, knew it was over, there was no Earth in the sky and Discord was dead, forever. I opened my eyes for a second, saw the ground coming and shut my eyes for the last time.

Rainbow Dash was flying, looking for the human, Fluttershy had come to and Celestia had gathered the guards to drive the others and search for the human. The sun goddess had woken shortly after the explosion and flow up to the mountain with the five guards just as Earth began to fade.

"I can't feel Discord's soul or mind at all. The human did it. Discord is dead." Celestia said, flying next to the mane six. The patrol was close to the ground, searching for the hero who saved them all. But to no avail yet.

"What if we can't find him?" Pinkie whimpered. Fluttershy squeaked at that and Rainbow looked down in sadness.

"We will find him. No matter how long it takes." Celestia replied, determined. But she had a secret she had to follow. It was only right.

"Okay. Lets just keep looking." Pinkie replied, still slightly crying. The group searched and searched, Celestia ordered more guards to be sent and for Derpy to be picked up. She had to see this. She had full right to know the results. Good, or, bad.

Almost three hours passed and still nothing, it was getting dark and the mane six had been up for almost two days. Celestia saw this and sent them back to Ponyville.

"Go back to the town my student, we will find him soon." Celestia ordered, all the ponies agreed to go, except Derpy and Rainbow Dash. The two were flying everywhere looking, and then, they found him.

"no." Derpy muttered out of nowhere. She flow down to the ground and Rainbow saw where.

"Celestia!" Rainbow shouted a shot down. The human lay in a crater, a crackling brown shield over him, he had obviously casted it to protect himself from the fall, but it had broken on impact. Derpy was crying over the humans body, the dark cyan transformed Pegasus form just lay there. Rainbow put a hoof on Derpy's shoulder and the cyan 20% cooler girl also began to cry. Celestia flow down and casted a quick spell. Then shock her head.

"I'm so so sorry Derpy. He's gone." Celestia said. Muttering. Derpy turned to Rainbow Dash and hugged her tightly, the two cried over the fallen hero in the darkness as Celestia called down a funeral chariot. It would go all around Equestria. To show everypony who saved them. That Celestia swore on.

"Every pony shall know of him." Celestia vowed. Derpy cried more in Rainbow, who was staring at the body of the human. The shield crackled once more then completely fell. There was just a dead pony in a crater now. The saviour of two worlds. Dead.

The trio stood together in the darkness for some time before a grey pony in a black suit came down by black-metal chariot to collect the body. Derpy kissed the human once more before he went away. Celestia called for a normal chariot to take them back to Ponyville. Derpy just stared in silence at the crater. Rainbow hadn't said a word, neither had. Just stood in the darkness, cold and sad, staring into the hole. Derpy couldn't see very well in the dark, but began to write in the dirt. Rainbow watched Derpy and felt more tears brewing. After some time Rainbow made the words out.

"You saved us all. But I love you. Always will. D." Rainbow read. Derpy just nodded and sat down face looking to the ground.

"Everypony will remember him. Derpy, he saved us all. He's a hero. He had a hero's death." Rainbow said. Not sure whether she should've.

"But he shouldn't have died at all. He loved me. I loved him. Why did fate stop us from being happy. If only Discord hadn't opened the portal." Derpy shouted.

"If Discord didn't open the portal, the human wouldn't have come at all." Rainbow replied.

"Then I'm grateful for that. Now, here comes the chariot." Derpy said as the royal gold chariot landed, driven by a white Pegasus and a black Pegasus. The chariot took off and flow back toward Ponyville. The two ponies sat in silence. The human was dead, no miracle or luck had saved him. He was gone.
