Season 2: Episode 4 - Race of a Lifetime Part 1

"At this rate, Spitfire and her Sonicbolts will succeed in overperfoming us." One of the Wonderbolt Higherups said.

"Agreed. Which means that it's time to strike." Another one of the Wonderbolts Higherups said.

"And legally, we are in the clear to do this. Let's see just how determined Spitfire is to keep Rainbow Dash on her side once we intervine..." The third wonderbolt higher up said.

It was a normal day in Ponyville and every Sonicbolt was doing training with Rainbow Dash, Soarin, and Lighting Dust even helping Scootaloo get way better at flying.

"Shouldn't be too long now Scoots. You'll be up in the air in no time." Rainbow Dash said.

"You said it. I feel like she's going to take off at any second." Soarin said.

"I can't help but feel the same way." Lighting Dust said. Suddenly however, a cage came down on Rainbow Dash.

"Hey! What gives?!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. Soon the Wonderbolt Higherups came along.

"You guys again...you'll do anything at this point..." Spitfire said.

"Oh we're simply doing our jobs is all. Technically speaking, Rainbow Dash's resignation hasn't been authorized yet. So that puts her at the top most position in the Wonderbolts easily. So we have every right to take her back to Wonderbolt HQ." The first higherup said.

"Of all the technicallities you choose to fall on." Lightining Dust said.

"If you don't like that though, and we know you don't, we've decided to allow you a chance to have Rainbow Dash's resignation become authorized using a little race. However Spitfire, instead of it being you against Rainbow Dash, you'll have to pick someone to race for you in a race against someone from the wonderbolt reserves. The second position after Rainbow Dash." The Second higher up said.

"Oh and to make things fair, Soarin is forbidden from being chosen. The one you must pick has to be an unreleated third party." The third higher up said. Spitfire bit her lip. But then she had an idea.

"Fine, I choose Lightning Dust." Spitfire said.

"Wait what?" The first higher up was confused.

"ME?!" Lightning Dust exclaimed. "Spitfire, you've gone insane. I can't beat whoever it is. Choose Fleetfoot or someone else." Lighting Dust said.

"No Lightning Dust. Your my pick and it's final. Unless of course, the Wonderbolt Higherups have a problem with that." Spitfire said.

"Err...I suppose it doesn't matter in the end." The second higherup said. Suddenly in came a pegasus stallion.

"Ace?!" Spitfire exclaimed.

"Dammit..." Fleetfoot said. "The only one whose ever beaten me in a race." She said.

"Now I'm actually glad she picked me then. I'll have Rainbow Dash back no problem." Lighting Dust said.

"Oh more thing though, if your chosen Pegasus loses, then she has to join the wonderbolts as well as Rainbow Dash here." The third higher up said.

"Bring it!" Lighting Dust said.

Sadly, there was no contest...Lightning Dust lost by a large margin.

"I...lost? But..." Lightning Dust said.

"No..." Spitfire said.

"Seems your luck has run out." The first higher up said.

"I won't let you..." Scootaloo suddenly said. "I won't let you take Rainbow Dash...I won't let you take my big sister away from me!" Scootaloo said. Suddenly she was flying in the air.

"Scootaloo...your flying!" Rainbow Dash said.

"I WON'T LET YOU TAKE RAINBOW DASH AWAY, I HEARBY CHALLENGE ACE TO A RACE RIGHT HERE AND NOW; IF I WIN, YOU WILL GIVE RAINBOW DASH AND LIGHTNING DUST BACK TO THE SONICBOLTS!" Scootaloo exclaimed.

"Ha! As if you'll win. Might as well as go home now kid." The second higherup said.

"I wasn't finished. If Ace wins, then not only do you get to keep Rainbow Dash and Lightning Dust, I'll agree to enroll at the wonderbolt academy and the sonicbolts has to disband right here and now." Scootaloo said.

"Scootaloo, what are you doing? You can't beat Ace!" Spitfire said.

"I'm sick and tired of people telling me what I can and can't do. Rainbow Dash wouldn't give up on me and believed I can fly. And my detirmination to see her free has made her belief come true. Now I'm not about to let that belief go to waste. Everyone else said I'd never be able to fly. But look at me now." Scootaloo had perfect control over her flying.

"She's got a point...she's able to fly now." The third higher up said.

"Whose side are you on?" the second higher up asked.

"I'm just saying!" The third higher up countered.

"I'm sick and tired of people telling me what I can and can't do. People told me I'd never be able to fly. Guess what, they lied. And now your telling me I can't beat ace. Well I've had it. This shall be the race of a lifetime for me. Win or lose, I won't let you take Rainbow Dash away from me. But I also won't let down the Sonicbolts. So I don't plan on losing." Scootaloo said. The second and third higherups began to counter but were stopped.

"No...let her race Ace." The first higher up said. "Meet us at Rainbow Falls first thing tomorrow." They added before leaving with the others.

"I will. And I don't plan on losing. I won't let anyone tell me what I can and can't do any longer." Scootaloo said.
