During the events of The Crystaling (Season 6's premier), off camera Twilight Sparkle mentioned to Flash Sentry that she's thinking of getting a royal guard appointed to her castle after some recent events. Taking this oppertunity, Flash Sentry persuades Shining Armor to send the pegasus to Ponyville to become the princess of friendship's guard captain ahead of Celestia's appointments. Using a strong enough case to win the brother over, Flash Sentry is sent with Twilight on the next train to Ponyville. If only the Pegasus realized just how much this would effect the futures of everyone involved...

I would like to point out that this fanfic was inspired HEAVILY from the "Twilight Sparkle x Flash Sentry" series of stories which includes A Flash of Romance - Fimfiction, Twilight's Love - Fimfiction, The Young Prince - Fimfiction, and Dusk's Travels - Fimfiction all by Bluecatcinema - Fimfiction. While this fan-fic is VERY different from that one, and has much different romances involved, I did want to acknowledge the inspiration behind this fan-fic.

Bonus Information: A while back, I made a blog post giving details on how I view MLP romantic ships. I listed two of my three categories of ship preferences there being "Ships I Cannot Stand" and "Ships I Tolarate". I did hint though at a third category of ships, these being not just ships I fully support, but will even go so far as put them into my fan-fics. These ships fall into the third category, "Ships I Will Write About". And these include ships like the ones I stated before: Soarin x Rainbow Dash and Apple Bloom x Diamond Tiara. But out of all the ships that fall into the category of "Ships I Will Write About", there is only one ship that not only has my full support, but is pure god like in my eyes so much that it has it's own separate category away from the others in "Ships I Will Write About". This ship is Twilight Sparkle x Flash Sentry. This is a ship that I support so much and view in very high regard that it is in a sub category within "Ships I Will Write About" called "God-Tier Ship" as it's the only ship that falls into that sub category. Meaning that if I ever write a Fan-fic that includes Flash Sentry as a main character, you can bet that I will bend over backwards to include a romantic plot involving the Pegasus guard and the adorkable princess of friendship herself, Twilight Sparkle. That is how much I support this particular MLP ship. I am that die hard about it. Additionally, this story will start tame, but later on will include sex and the like. And while this won't happen in the first season (which takes place between The Crystaling and season 6 episode 3 from the show), you can bet it will be included in later seasons. And yes, you just saw "seasons" correctly; as per the norm, whenever a season is finished, this story will enter "hiatus" status for about seven days after which it will go back to being "incomplete". Additionally, while no one has yet to die in this fan-fic, there is a very early instance of someone being thought dead and then coming back to life so to be on the safe side, the death tag is put up but it's only for a precaution even though no one dies. Any events of the Equestria Girls universe will either be referenced, or included VERY briefly. This will make more sense later when Sunset meets Starlight in Season 2 of this fanfic.
