Years passed as the swarm grew larger, Twilight sat on the throne alongside her mother, Queen Chrysalis. She was her mother's most trusted changeling and had been crowned as princess long ago. As a princess mean she is much more special than the other, just like her mother once told her, her duties weren't just like the other changelings but also have to spy on other kingdoms. And she succeeded many times, her best skill, disguised as a creature helped her many times as she kidnapped many creatures and bring the love back to the hive.

But this time was different, Queen Chrysalis wouldn't just let her do one job for too long until she adapted, the changeling queen would give her harder tasks. Even busy with her work, the young princess hadn't made the queen disappointed , even if she unsuccess.

Today, she would get her new task, her mother had told her to come to the throne room yesterday. This meant she had to wake up early to get the task from her, from what she heard, she was going to get an important task that could affect the hive. Running through the nursery, she arrived at the throne room, which was filled with many changelings, included her mother.

"Finally, you have arrived. I have an important task for you, which may take you a long time" The queen sighed then continued "You are going to spy on Equestria ruler, Celestia. You can disguise yourself as anything you want, but I recommended filly would easier to approach the Princess since she attended the magic school. And with your magic, you can get the princess's attention. Are you understand?"

"Yes, I understood mother I'll try my best. But how long until I can back to the hive again?"

"It depends on you, my dear. If you find any vacation that good enough for us to fully take Canterlot, use these bugs just like before. I'll come and aid you" Chrysalis gave her daughter five bugs "Keep this well, daughter, don't let anypony discover your real identity, I don't want you to go there. But it seems like you are the only one who can do this besides me"

"Yes, mother. I'll try to contact you as much as I can so you can keep track of me" That earned a nod from Chrysalis

The queen followed her to the entrance of the hive after she gave her daughter enough supplies. The young princess had done many things for the hive, and she knew the queen wouldn't risk her daughter's life for spying. But she had no other choice, if the queen wanted to conquer the world, she would start with Equus, which famous for the loving ponies. With those love, everything will be in place. 'Only this time, I won't let her do this kind of task anymore' Thought Chrysalis

After she went through the desert, the changeling Princess noticed a forest in front of her. Opened the map, it was the Everfree Forest, the most dangerous forest. The forest contained many mysterious creatures, which her mother already warned her to be careful while passing it. Slowly, she stepped into the forest, careful not to get any attention from the monsters

"Wow, so many things I haven't seen before, but this can be dangerous. I haven't seen any detail about those so I would better careful with this" Said Twilight as she looked around her carefully. But unfortunately, the changeling put too much attention to the 'things' around her and forgot about the presence of the Manticore. The creature already waited for her to come and attack her. But luckily she had some experience with Manticore before, so when it attacked, she got out of its grip thank to teleport

"Wow, that was a close call. Look like it's not safe here, I should fly." Said Twilight as she transformed to a pegasi form

The flight went on until she reached Ponyville. 'This town looks so peaceful' Thought Twilight to herself as she landed. Found for her somewhere empty, she transformed to a unicorn form, which was her most favorite form. Compared to her changeling form, it's still the same but her color was changed to light purple. With her holed hoofs, horn and mane were gone, now she looked like a real pony. Going around the town, she hadn't found anywhere good enough to stay. Found another place, she changed to pegasus again and took a flight to Canterlot. Hid behind the houses, she changed herself into the foal version of her unicorn form and waited until night.

After waited for hours, she found a family, who looked fit for her need of love. They seem to have a lot of love for each other. All she needed is acted as a homeless child, get their attention, and convinced them to adopt her. 'What a perfect plan' She chuckled evilly and teleport to an alley the couple would go to

When the couple reach the entry of the alley, they saw the filly in front of them 'unconscious'. Just like her plan, they brought her back to their home.

Her plan worked well enough. 'This would be the right time to wake up'. She 'tiredly forced her eyes open' as she looked around until she saw the couple

"I see you have woken up. Are you ok? Why did you in the alley? Where were your parents?" The gray pony asked her in a serious voice

"I don't remember, Miss. All I can remember was someone chased me and I tried to escape them. After that, I don't remember anything else. About my parents, I don't have any, I have been on the orphanage for as long as I can remember. Can you please adopt me, I don't want to be alone anymore" 'Pleaded' the disguised changeling

"Honey, what is your opinion about this? Should we adopt her?" Asked the deep blue pony

"Our son always wanted a sister, so I think we should adopt her. He will be very happy to know about this news." Happily answered the gray pony "I am 'Twilight Velvet' and this is 'Night Light'. What is your name, dear?"

"My name is Twilight too, my full name is Twilight Sparkle" Answered Twilight 'innocently'

"What a coincidence, we both name Twilight" Twilight Velvet chuckled

"Umm, Miss. Do you have anything to eat, I haven't eaten anything for two days" Asked Twilight, tried to drove to another topic to avoid any personal question about her

"Of course we have. Follow me I'll lead you to the kitchen" Said Twilight Velvet as she walked to the kitchen

Her plan fully succeeds, she also gets a room for herself. This means long as she didn't reveal her true self her plan will be ok. 'I'll only have to draw the Princess attention, this is going to be easy with my amount of magic' Thought Twilight to herself as she drifted to sleep
