Flash Sentry soared through the streets of the Crystal Empire, passing other immune workers making deliveries as he flew by. Flash was tasked with making deliveries to badly affected areas due to the fact he was immune to the virus. The only good thing about being immune was that he could go about wherever he pleased without the fear of getting sick, except the fact that he had to distance himself from ponies he cared about due to the fact he could get them sick.

When Princess Celestia issued her royal statement when things started to go from bad to worse, she said to avoid spreading the virus, immune ponies could not interact with ponies who weren't immune in case they got them sick.
Flash learned this the hard way, he was infected with the virus and was quarantined in a hospital for two weeks due to the fact he was having breathing trouble. But after he was released, he started to show signs of immunity weeks after. He was glad that he didn't have to worry about getting that horrible sickness again, but soon everything came crashing down when his mother became infected. It started with a cough but soon it got worse and worse until she started to lose the color in her coat and her eyes were bloodshot. Flash had to sit there helplessly as he watched his mother suffer, knowing because of his immunity he had to watch her breathe her last breath.

Flash shook the memory from his head, he didn't want to remember, he couldn't, he had to stay strong, for Equestria, for the Crystal Empire, for his family, and of course for his love, Twilight. He had first met the alicorn princess when he first joined the crystal guard. After a few awkward encounters of bumping into each other, they started to get to know each other and became inseparable ever since. Well, that was until this epidemic began. Flash shook his head again, flapped his wings faster, and sped towards his destination to his final delivery of the day.
