Prologue part one: the battle
[On the planet of Palawia]
"Your highness, a massive fleet of enemy ships is on its way to the planet." He said.
"How big is it?"
"From what our scouts say its...at least thirty ships."
"Well that isn't that bad, what kind of ships?"
"We don't know, they are huge though"
"How big?"
"The smallest ship in the fleet was about... uh,
"About ten hours"
"Yes sir."
After the advisor left I swiftly made my way to my personal armory. Once inside my armory I take what I think I will need. I put on my armor then grabbed my assault rifle, my shotgun , my battle rifle , my revolver , my sword , my backup knife , and my anti-aircraft rifle. Before I left I noticed my prototype D.E.A (Dimensional Energy Accelerator) which is just a plasma accelerator, but much, much more powerful, It could be quite useful.
After getting my weapons and exiting my armory I made my way to the intel room, to get a full report.
"As you know the fleet contains thirty ships. The ship are all carriers, but they seem to be much more armed than normal. They are much larger than regular carriers, they are similar in size to most destroyer class ships."
"Who do the ships belong to"
"The RPS (Republic of Palaw Supremacy) and the RA (Robotic Allegiance) both have fifteen ships in the fleet, although we are detecting magical signatures that would imply that the DE (Demonic Empire) is also going to invade ."
"What else can you tell me about it?"
"Aside from what I told you, nothing, we haven't seen ships like these before."
After I left the intel room my second in command, Benny came up to me and asked.
"I will explain when I get there."
Upon entering the planning room I noticed that all of my generals were waiting for me.
"How much larger are they?" Asked general Oliver, leader of the vehicle division.
"They are several times bigger then the biggest ships we have."
"If those are all filled with soldiers and equipment then, we have no way to fight them, we have far to little troops to hold that in a ship to ship battle." Said Tristan, the general of the air division.
"That is correct, so instead of fighting them in space we shall fight them on land, more specifically we will use our anti spacecraft guns to herd them to the wastes."
"But sir, The wastes are inhospitable anything we make won't last." Said Bob, the general of the navy.
"They will be here in about... nine and a half hours so nothing we build we need to last that long."
"What we are gonna do, is remove a three mile long stretch of the wall that makes up the wastes, and build trenches we will use the stone we get from mining it to make basic fortifications, and we will pummel them with artillery strikes. We will set up a shield above the wastes which will prevent them from escaping, then when our reinforcements get there we will destroy their entire fleet. Any questions?"
Benny asked, "And if your plan fails?"
"Our empire will fall, and we will all be sold into slavery, except us... they will probably just execute us. Now get moving, we don't have time to stand around!"
"Yes sir!" Was the unanimous answer.
The wastes were the result of the first battle of Palawia, they are a large bowl of sorts. It's not naturally this way, its shape came about when a splinter faction of my empire know as The Republic of Palaw Supremacy detonated a very powerful bomb after being chased out of our planet. It caused the beautiful plains to be turned into a canyon, upon detonation it messed with the tectonic plates and caused sheer walls of rocks to jut up out of the ground, it also caused the top of the bowl to become a inhospitable wasteland of lava. The inside of the wastes didn't fare much better, they were turned from grassy flatlands into hilly deserts . The worst part is that the bomb wasn't even at full power, if it was... we all would have died and my empire would have fallen. the strangest and most interesting part of the wastes is that nothing can survive in it for long, any living creature will go insane after about three whole days of exposure to the wastes, and any man-made structures will crumble after about one week this so called "dead zone" extends all the way into space, meaning we can't even put anything into orbit around it. They are about five-hundred miles in diameter and the walls are about ninety feet tall, and almost thirty feet thick.
[Nine hours later]
As I stand on the top of one of the fortifications I look around the defenses we have, they are crude, but they will work... hopefully. There are fourteen other fortifications like this one, mine being in the middle. every one of them has one aa gun on top of it. Behind this trench there is a secondary trench to fall back to, it also has fifteen fortifications and aa guns. Behind that is where the artillery cannons are, we have also set up a landing pad for when our reinforcements get here.
"Emperor, our anti spacecraft guns are forcing the enemy forces to land at the opposite end of the wastes."
"Good, ready the cannons."
"Yes sir."
As I look thru my binoculars I see that they are beginning to send the first wave of troops . I grab my radio and tell the cannon crews, "When they get into range start firing the special rounds, once you run out of special rounds cease fire till I give you next order."
"Yes sir." Was the reply.
[Six minutes later]
I hear a loud BOOM and look up to see the first of the shells fire, I track it till it hits its target and see that it works just as expected
"You shall see very soon." I said as a grin started to form on my face.
[Ten minutes later]
At this point almost all of the enemy army is coated in the substance and slowed down significantly, I then notice that no shells have been fired for almost thirty seconds. I turn on my radio and ask, "Have the all the special shells been fired yet?"
"Yes sir."
"I-i-incendiary shells?"
"Yes"
"Fire." As I heard the explosion of all the cannons at once I felt a large grin form on my face. Once the shells impacted it was total chaos within seconds their entire army was in flames.
"W-w-what was in those rounds, sir."
"A mixture of pitch, gasoline, napalm, and magic."
The mixture worked just as expected, it seeped deep into the cracks in the vehicles and war machines, when the fire was lit, it would get everything, not just the outside plating, but the wires the circuitry, and even the people in the cases of vehicles.
That was just the first wave though... the next ones would be much harder even if they put all of their best troops upfront.
I'd say that the Republic of Palaw Supremacy (RPS) was hit the least hardest, due to their entire army being able to respawn, so all they lost was vehicles. The self-proclaimed Demonic Empire (DE) was hit harder, despite not using vehicles They didn't really respawn. The Robotic allegiance (RA) was hit the hardest, due to having a limited amount of soldiers, they can't just respawn like the RPS or just summon new ones like the DE.
[Two and a half hours later]
As I saw the next wave coming I gave the order to fire at will. I summoned my aa rifle And turned the magnets on then scoped in on the closest war machine, the loud BOOM of the rifle sounded and the machine fell over, dead. I moved onto the next target, the same thing happened. I then targeted a soldier, and fired, I could see his chest turn into a bloody pulp, the next guy's head got turned into a bloody mist. I continued to target and shoot, not all of my shots hit, but I still did some decent damage.BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR , at that instant a huge number of enemy fighters and bombers fell out of the sky and onto the ground. This carried on for a few minutes, when the last fighter fell we looked to the battle field and saw that it was littered with corpses and ruined vehicles, There was even the occasional explosion from some of the downed machines.
[Three and a half hours later]
At first I wondered why the third wave was taking so long, Then I saw it, They had been biding their time, gathering their strength. The third wave was massive, larger than the other two combined, It must have been at least two million soldiers.
Magic canceling (MC) rounds would cause the RPS to not be able to respawn, causing a permanent death. The creatures of the DE would be not be able to return to their hell-scape, meaning that they would not be able to get new bodies , and would finally move on to the real after-life. Furthermore, any magic based items would fail to work.
No-one objected to the use of MC rounds, due to not wanting our empire to fall. I went down into the the fortification and got to my personal chaingun. I quickly loaded it with the MC rounds.
Once the enemy got into range there was a cacophony of gunfire. After that the entire enemy line broke down, instead of disciplined and orderly, it was now a chaotic rush to get to our trenches and push us out. At first we held them off, but as time went on it was looking more and more like we would get pushed back into the secondary trenches.
[Five minutes later]
I had to give the order to fall back, once we got into the secondary trenches we fought harder than we did before, now we have all of our men in one place rather than split between two trenches. At this point they realized that we were using MC rounds and began firing MC rounds back, I could tell, because the body of a Palaw disintegrates after death, and a small box, called a respawn anchor, appears. Without going into too much detail, it essentially contains someone's soul, and is how they can respawn, normally they are bright with color and look unique, but all these ones were dull grey and uniform, meaning that the soul was no more in this mortal realm.
The worst of it was over, but we still have a long way to go, even as the reinforcements start coming into the trenches and help us fight the enemy off, we are still being pushed back.
I then hear a rhythmic thumping, almost as if something very large is coming, then I spot one of the very few things that strikes fear into my heart, a war machine, but not just any one, L-35691, which is an old enemy of mine, he stands at a frightening 20 feet tall, he's made out of grade three palawium which is the toughest metal known to exist, and he hates me, this is because in our first battle I tore the cannon off of his head, there are other reasons, but this is the one that he says to be the biggest one. Instead of just getting a new cannon, or a new body, he made a special shotgun out of a 500mm artillery cannon, and vowed to kill me, and destroy all that I cared about.
I barely had time to react before he fired a shot, the shot went wide, and missed the pillbox I was in, before he could fire another shot I got out, the second shot he fired, hit the fortification, completely obliterating it. by this time he was already at the trenches, a few of my men tried to stop him, he grabbed his shotgun like a golf club, and swatted two of them away, he then fired at the third one, which tore them to shreds, he began to reload his shotgun as he turned to me and said "HELLO, FROSTY IT HAS BEEN A WHILE, I DO HOPE YOU ARE READY TO DIE." He then fired off three shots in my general direction, which I dodged, instead of reloading he tried to hit me with his gun, I was dodging his strikes when I realized that I had been cornered, I was infront of the wreckage of one of the aircraft, with no way to run. L-35691 began to raise up his shotgun to crush me with it. So, this is the end, this isn't how I would've wanted to die, but it is what it is. .
Suddenly one of the aa guns, which had been laying dormant, roared to life and began to pellet him with bullets, this didn't have much of an effect, but it certainly pissed him off.
"THIS IS BETWEEN ME AND FROSTY, BEGONE." He stated, then swung his gun at the turret, ripping it off of the pillbox, and sending the person manning it flying.
He walked over to where the person landed and began loading his gun, then aimed at the figure laying on the ground. "DO YOU HAVE ANY LAST WORDS, YOU FILTHY ORGANIC." I began to look for something to fire at the machine that would distract him, I quickly located a rocket launcher, picked it up and fired, before L-35691 could fire. The rocket impacted him and blew up, it didn't cause much damage, but it did cause him to turn towards me, and shoot at me. I was able to dodge it, he fired again, and I dodged it again
How am I going to bring this thing down... wait, I still have some of the "special" stuff. I then pulled a few containers of the liquid, which I had named y-237 and threw then at him, the glass jars shattered on impact, and the stuff began to soak into his body, I then threw a ball of frost flame at him, which caused him to go up in pretty, bright blue flames.
Suddenly a voice stated WARNING, FIRE DETECTED, ATTEMPTING TO ACTIVATE FIRE DISPERTION SYSTEMS. After a few seconds the voice came back, ERROR, FIRE IS ENCHANTED AND CANNOT BE PUT OUT At this point L-35691 was stumbling around as the fire spread and ravaged his internal components, HEAVY DAMAGE DETECTED, GOING INTO EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN. Before he fully fell over, he said ,C-C-CURSE Y-YOU FROS-S-S-T-TY-T-YY-Y, I-I-IIII-III--I SHALL-LLLLLLLL- H-H-HAAAAAAAAAV-EEEEE MY-Y-Y-Y-MY-M-YYYY REV-EV-EV-REVEN-NNGE! TH-I-IIIIIIIII-S I-S-SSSSSSS-IS N-N-N-N-OT THE LAST Y-Y-OU SHAL-LLLL SEEE-EEEE-EEE---EE-E-EEEE-E OF-F-F-F-F-FFFFF-F M-M-ME! With that said, he collapsed on the ground, devoid of "life".
I looked over to the soldier who saved my life, and handed him a badge, then said "Here take this, you deserve it. Now, we should get to the battle field, we can't let the others have all the fun." I said before running out into the battle field.
I quickly located a target and ran him thru with my sword, then spotted a group of enemies and charged over to them. I killed the first by chopping his head off the second was cut in half the third was quickly dispatched, via a sword to the chest.
I then noticed a large group and drew my assault rifle and shot them, they tried to dive behind cover but the bullets tore them apart before they could.
I Quickly saw one of the abominations of the DE charging me and drew my sword. It raised its fists to crush me so I jumped to the left causing it to miss and hit the ground I slashed at it causing it to roar in pain. It then tried to punch me, I dodged it again and then drove my sword thru its chest I then pulled up, which nearly sliced its torso in half. I then took advantage of the fact that is was stumbling around in pain by cutting its head off.
I spotted a large group of RPS soldiers and summoned my chaingun, which I had ripped off of its mount before charging. At first it revved up then with a mighty BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR the group of enemies was decimated, a loud click signified that I had shot all the bullets it had, it would take to long to reload so I put it in my inventory. I summoned my battle rifle and started shooting at what ever I could see. One person got too close and I shot them, the blood and brain matter from their, now destroyed skull splattered across my armor.
I noticed that there were no more enemies in near sight, then I looked around and saw that their entire attacking army was gone, nothing more than piles of gore and puddles of blood.BOOM of the railgun that acted as the main turret of the tank being fired, followed by the THUD of the robot, now with a massive hole in its chest, falling over.
The rest of drive there was mostly boring, aside from the occasional bits of combat. their deaths totaled at least two million, where as our deaths only totaled around ten thousand. That makes sense though, considering that the RPS basically only has cannon fodder troops, the DE and RA only actually made up about twenty five percent each of the army. Furthermore we have more training and better equipment, hell the RA is basically just made up of OUR outdated robot designs. The demons of the DE are all as dumb as a brick, so they don't pose much of a threat, at least not when they have such comparatively small numbers.
Once we arrived at the enemy trenches, and I exited the tank I saw how chaotic the battle was. At this point they were fighting for survival, so they were quite hard to beat, not only that but, they have thirty large spacecraft that look extremely expensive to make. The battle for the trenches was short, we over-ran them easily. Besieging the ships would be a lot harder.
[five hours later]
We were moving on to the largest ship, since we got to their ships we must have killed an additional million troops, we lost at least one-hundred thousand of our own.
This was the final battle either we kill them here or we fall.
Upon reaching the cockpit of the ship we stood before the enemy general and his elite guards.
I felt nothing but rage upon looking at that poor excuse of a man, he betrayed me, and lead an assault on my planet, not only that, bet he was the one who took my arm an my eye, and now, he shall pay for not killing me that day.
We exchanged no words, just blows. I used my sword, he used his bladed gauntlets, but, he was no match for me, I got one hit in on him and it drained him of his magic. I swiftly decapitated him, then I took his gauntlets from his, now evaporating, body.
"I'm not sorry that it has to be this way, John." I said to his near fully dematerialized corpse
With that he was dead, at that point, that wall next to me slid down, I turned towards it, and saw the chancellor sitting on his throne surrounded by his guards "Well, how does it feel to kill one of your friends, Frosty?"
I knew what was coming next, this morning, when I woke up, I knew I was going to die, I didn't know how, I just knew I was dying, and now I know what I must do. My plan is to run up to him, and kill his ass, even if his guards shoot me it wont matter, by the time he's dead, the reapers will have arrived, and benny will be done fighting the rest of John's guards, I know I shall die here, but when I do, my vengeance will have been taken, and my life complete.
"He betrayed me, I felt nothing."
At this point I was clouded with rage, the chancellor looked as if he was going to say another thing, but I didn't give him the chance, I teleported right infront of him, which I didn't even know I could do, and equipped the clawed gauntlets, his gaurds tried to move to me, but they were too slow, I drove both my hands with my palms facing away from eachother, into his chest and started pushing my hands apart, he tried to gasp out a few words, and that's when the bullets started to impact my armor, and then broke through and started piercing me, even with the effects of mc rounds there was no stopping me. He began to grab at my arms and tried to pull the out of his chest, but it didn't stop me, the room was filled with the sound of flesh tearing, and bones breaking, and then there was one final CRACK followed by two meaty thuds.
By this point all the guards were dead, and my rage was running out, I could no longer run from fate, no longer could I cheat death. This, didn't bother me though.
The chancellor, who had slaughtered my people, killed my parents, and betrayed me was dead. L-35691, Who was originally a person, who had me put his soul into one my prototype machines, so he could use it to found an empire of robots with the specific purpose of ending all life across all dimensions. They were both dead, my two biggest enemies were dead, and my life's work completed, despite my rage earlier, I now felt a sense of... peace.
I then fell over, and was caught by benny.
"Are you ok, Frosty?" Benny asked, he is my closest friend so we are on first-name basis.
"D-don't talk like t-that w-we can still fix you." We both knew he was wrong. "Look the medic is here, you can still be healed."
" I looked at him then said, I am dying, there is nothing you can do... as m-my last official order as e-emperor, I pass the title on to y-you... you will be a great leader."
"P-p-please hold on a little bit longer, sir, w-we can fix you."
"I'm sorry, Benny... you will have to go on without me, my friend... take good care of the people."
" There's nothing we can do."
I then spoke my last words

[Equestria]
I wake up laying face down, a few error messages play in my brain telling me that my cybernetics are down. Great... now I only have one working arm and eye, and my translator is offline, so I hope I don't encounter any locals till they are back online after using my one working arm I decide to sit up and observe my surroundings while waiting for my cybernetics to reboot.
The first thing I notice is, that I'm in a forest, a dark and evil looking forest. I then notice that this place does, in fact, have ambient magic, for this forest, it seems to be a mixture of dark magic, nature magic, and a weak feeling of... holy magic?That's quite odd, I don't think I can remember a time where I've been somewhere that has both dark and holy magic, I'll have to investigate later. I can also feel another magical signature, but it's too far off to make out the types of magic in it.
This place feels... familiar, as if I've been to this dimension before...
{Cybernetics online}Oh, good. I think to myselfWell my wish of not being found by me people is going to be made easy with that. Yes. good, is there any additional information that you can give me? I ask my assistant, which is actually just a text to speech machine that has a simulated personality.I should see if there's anything nearby.
[about two hours later]
After looking around for a bit I was able to locate a clearing which had a river not to far from it.Despite the way this forest looks its actually quite nice, living here wouldn't be that bad I just sat there and enjoyed my surroundings for a few minutes, before deciding to get started on making a shelter. The first step is obviously getting some wood for the walls and roof of the house. The second step would probably be getting some stone for a foundation, I would also need something to make the stone and the wood together, tar or pitch would probably work, but tar was easier to get. But before getting anything I need to figure out how much I'd need, so I quickly decided that the dimensions of my house would be: thirty-six feet long, forty-five feet wide, and nine feet tall.
Now that I had the dimensions in order, I started making my way into the forest, once I was out of my clearing and into the forest, I deployed my chainsaw and started cutting trees down, I had to cut most of the trees into lighter pieces so I could actually put them into my inventory, due to the fact that if an object is too heavy for me to carry normally, I cant put it into my inventory. After a few hours I had gathered what I figured to be enough wood, now I had to locate some stone.I know I saw some exposed stone somewhere, I just gotta remember how to get there. After a few minutes of searching I found the stone deposit in question, and began to use my drill to remove chunks of stone from the deposit.I didn't spot any tar pits while scouting, I wonder where I could find some
After about an hour of searching I found a tar pit, but now this raises the question: how do I get my tar to my building spot?
Once I gathered my tar I made my way back to my base, it only took me ten minutes to find my clearing, so a round trip to the tar pit would only take about five or six minutes plus about three minutes to gather the tar. Now that I have all the materials to make my house, I begin construction. I first dug a that would serve as the place to put the stone for my foundation, I then put the stones in, making sure that the chunks that I placed actually fit together and were level. The entire process of making the foundation took about an hour, then I laid down the bottom part of the walls, which was a layer of stones that was one foot tall, and held together with tar. This time it took about two and a half hours, due to needing to go get more tar.
It was then that I noticed that it was still sunny, which is really weird, as it seems that the sun hasn't moved at all the entire day, which is strange to say the least. As an inter-dimensional traveler, I've seen some weird stuff, and this is defiantly one of the oddest things I've ever seen. Then the sun started to move, but that wasn't t he weirdest part, I could feel a magical aura coming from the sun while it was moving, this of course surprised me as the sheer amount of power to not only move a star, but also be felt by someone on the planet that the sun was over, is well... astronomical. This was now officially the weirdest thing I've ever seen
After I watched the sun set and the moon rise, I resumed work on my house
[Three hours later]
It took me a while to do, but I had finished the outside my house, it was a basic log cabin, now all I needed to do was figure out what to use for my windows. After a couple minutes of thinking, I decided to use my magic to make them out of clear ice, which I would enchant so that it wouldn't meltBenny always told me that keeping random pieces of furniture in my inventory was useless and that I was overpreparing for something that would never happen, I guess he was wrong. Maybe not staying in my home dimension wasn't such a good idea... not like I can change it, well its pretty late, so I should probably go to sleep now.
[Ten hours later]
I get up out of my bed and make some breakfast, while eating I think over the events of the past day. I wonder what the reaper meant when he said that I'll love this dimension? Scouting the general area around my house is a good idea.
I didn't find much of interest for a bit, then I spotted a ruined castle in a large clearing. Hmm, well that proves that at some point that there was intelligent life, perhaps I should go explore it. I then walked into the clearing and made my way towards the castle, but before I could get to it I noticed a large ravine which separated me from the castle. Upon getting closer to the ravine, I noticed that there used to be a bridge, but now it was broken. What would be the best way to get across the gap? I then decide to just jump over the gap, because I am not a sane man, I walked back about two meters and started running at the ravine, then jumped at the edge of it, and only got one fourth of the way across it before I started to plummet into the hole. Fuck! thankfully I have a pretty fast reaction time, and was able to use the grappling hook that my right arm has in it to grab the other side and pull myself up and not go splat at the bottom of a large hole in the ground. Damn, I'm a complete fucking idiot. I got up from where I was lying on the ground and made my way to the castle.
The castle was quite destroyed, This didn't look like it was just abandoned, It looked like it had seen a horrible battle, and then was abandoned. As I walked into the castle I was immediately met with what looked to be the throne room. The fact that the throne room is the first room you enter might imply that these people were either naïve, peaceful, didn't expect anyone to attack them. The next thing I noticed was the large tapestries on the walls, they were to damaged, moldy, or faded to tell what was once on them though. I then went up to the thrones, the one on the left was larger and had a model of the sun on top of it, the one to the right was smaller and had a model of the moon on it. Based off of the arrangement of the thrones, these people likely had a diarchy rather than a monarchy Another thing to note about this room is that it is damn near destroyed, most of the ceiling is either gone, or on the floor, and the walls are falling apart. Upon finishing my inspection of the throne room I decided to go in the door to the left.
[Four hours later]
I saw many rooms while exploring the castle, most of which were less destroyed than the throne room, looking like they hadn't seen any battle, just several hundred years of wear and tear. Despite exploring for a while I still hadn't found an armory. After walking for a little bit longer, I found what looked to be a barracks, I was split into two sections, one side has brighter paint, and images of the sun, the other had darker paint and images of the moon. Just like other parts of the castle, it seems like these people really liked the sun and moon. While looking at the barracks I found a door, which presumably lead to the armory. If there was any armor left in there I could possibly discern the body shape of the people that used to live here. But upon entering the armory, I found that there was no armor or weapons in it. This supports the theory that they abandoned the castle.
After wandering around for a few more minutes I found a room that resembled a church, oddly enough there wasn't any imagery that would suggest that they worshipped the sun or the moon, once again the tapestries were indecipherable. I could see the remains of what looked to be stained glass windows, but due to being broken they were of no use. I then decided to sit on one of the benches, and look up at the skip for a bit, that's when the gears in my head started turning. If they don't worship the sun and moon that means that all the imagery represents something other than their worship of it... the only places that I've seen the imagery is places that seemingly belonged to the rulers... Then the sun and moon represent the leaders, and not their reverence of the things, but if that's true then why are the leaders related to celestial bodies? It was at that moment that the sun fell and the moon rose. No. Fucking. Way. THEIR LEADERS CONTROL THE SUN AND MOON! Holy fucking shit, that makes so much sense, but if their leaders can control the celestial bodies that means that they are likely immortal, because I've never seen a mortal with that much power.
After I got done having my little freak out, I decided to go home. I still haven't figured out what the people who live here look like yet.
[Thirty minutes later]
Once I reach my clearing I have an idea What if I climb one of the trees and use my binoculars to see if I can spot any towns. I then climbed up a tree, summoned my binoculars, turned on their low light vison and looked around. The first thing I spotted was a large castle that was hanging off the side of a mountain, It seemingly had no supports holding it. The design of the castle was quite nice. That castle looks like its currently in use, so maybe the people here are still in their version of the middle-ages
The next thing I spotted was a small town, which was designed much like a middle-ages town, Based on the absolutely massive apple orchard, it seems to be a farming town, In the center of the town there was a giant castle that was seemingly made out of crystals, The last thing I noticed about the town other than the fact that I couldn't see people, which is to be expected, considering how late it is, was a... train station? So these people have middle ages building styles, seemingly don't have electricity, but they do have trains, I mean this isn't the weirdest thing I've seen regarding technology progression, but this is certainly strange.
I then climb down out of the tree and go into my home to sleep for the night.

(Third person POV: Luna)
Her mind was racing at speeds faster than light Was that truly him, or was it just a figment of my imagination? She was unsure of what to do, weather or not to go to where he told her to go, after calming down and thinking it over, she decided to cancel night court for the day and to go there. She exited her room and told the first guard she came across, that she was cancelling night court, and before he could ask a reason as to, 1: why she was awake in the morning, and 2: why she wanted to do that, She teleported away.
(First person POV: Frosty)
I was sitting impatiently on my couch, just waiting for something to happen, I feel horrible for what I did, two hundred and fifty years ago I showed up on that moon, became her friend, and when something happened that I couldn't handle I left and never returned , never contacted her. I abandoned her, when she needed a friend the most, I just Fucking left, like the horrible person I am. Who am I kidding, she probably hates me...
There was a Sudden knock at my door and my heart stopped in my chest, I couldn't breath, I walked towards the door and opened it, I was met with the sight of... Luna.
Time seemed to Freeze as we both looked at each other, She was the first to speak, "I-it truly is thou, F-frosty."
I simply nodded, and said, "Would you like to come in, I have a lot of explaining to do..."
We both made our way to the living room and sat down.
"I'm so, so sorry for what I did, will you ever forgive me..."
"Yes, I already have, but I want to know why"
"Well, when I arrived on the moon of your planet, I was in horrible shape, not physically, but mentally, and emotionally, and when you made advancements on me, I- I- I just couldn't not after what had happened, I just..."
She looked confused and said, you never did tell me much about you, what happened to you, my friend."
"In order to know what happened, I must tell my story from the begining."
"You see, It all began, around... three-hundred and thirteen years ago, when I was sixteen. You see, my species, Palaw, have natural magic, but we don't gain access to it until we are sixteen years of age, once I got my magic, I showed a particular affinity for cryomancy, I had also loved swords all my life, and even owned and trained with one. Now, at this time, my people had six guardians, now, their names don't have translations to modern language, so I will have to say them in ancient Palaw. They were as follows: ⨸⨴⩒⩑⩃ guardian of the caves, ⨈⨛⨐⨆⨁⩂⨶⩆ guardian of the forest, ⨗⨙⨢⨄⨫⨍⨕⨻⨷ guardian of the ocean, ⨀⨷⨨ guardian of the skies, ⨟⨒⨁⨼⨥⩅⪙⪇ guardian of the desert, and ⨓⨸⨡⨘⨒⨇ guardian of the sun."
I paused for a short bit, the continued, " When I was almost seventeen, a horrible curse descended upon my people, almost all of them disappeared, as if they never existed, then our guardians were turned against us they slaughtered most of the remaining people, I was one of the people to challenge them, I still don't truly know how I was able to defeat any of them, but I did. I defeated all of of them... until I got to ⨓⨸⨡⨘⨒⨇, I was almost killed, permanently, by him, but a presence came over me, and she spoke to me, I still remember her words to this day. Fear not, child, I, Icels, goddess of the ice elementals have been watching you, I shall give the power to defeat this evil, and bring your people back on the condition that you serve me. Those were her exact words."
"I assume that you took her offer, then?"
"Yes, I did, she was a part of the reason for my current name, now let me continue my story. First I must explain something though, there are four plains of existence, The physical realm, where most dimensions exist, and where we reside currently. The spiritual or elemental realm, where elementals exist. The void, the place between life and death, and the afterlife, where people go after they die."
"I was taken to the elemental realm, where I was given the name frosty, and given to Icels, she was a very nice person, and in my time there, we grew quite close, I ascended ranks quickly due to my sheer power with ice magic, and my tactical skill, as well as being one of the few people to exist in both a psychical and spiritual sense, after awhile I was given the title of the frost spirit, which meant that I was second only to the goddess herself, we even got married... I was so happy back then."
"But one day, so long ago, I was returning home from a mission in the physical realm, that is it happened..." At this point I was shaking, and my eyes were welling up. I managed to stutter out, "Wh-when I-I got-t b-back, the town, was-was, des-destroyed, ev-ever-yone was d-dead, the m-men, the women, and even the ch-children... and even Icels was critically injured, she died in my hands, I-, I need a minute." At this point, I was a mess, me the great and mighty United Palaw Emperor, The slayer of tyrants, the freer of slaves, and many more titles. Luna then got up and sat down next to me. We exchanged no words, we simply sat like that for several minutes.
I couldn't stop myself from telling the last part of this story "The order elementals, they had recently gotten a new leader, who thought that everyone else was to chaotic, and decided to enslave all of the others, and kill those who resisted... the ice elementals and chaos elementals were the first to go, after seeing what they did, the rest of the elementals surrendered. This is what I learned from Icels before she died, her last act was to give me the rest of her power... I'm not ashamed to say this, but, the only ones of the order elementals who didn't die, were the children, and the few of them that believed their leader to be wrong... the rest... were crushed by a vast army."
"But you said the other ice elementals were dead."
"They were, but I wasn't talking about people, for there are two kinds of elementals, the Sapients and the Mindlessess. The Mindlessess are closer to golems then they are anything else. The ones who weren't killed by me became known as the harmony elementals, in fact, if I recall correctly, the leader of them is the same goddess who created this dimension, very nice lady, she is."
"After that, I wandered around dimensions for an amount of time, until I found the void, which apparently, was where the bastard that cursed my original people lived, so I went there, and kicked his ass, as it turns out, it doesn't matter if you're basically god, if you haven't fought anyone in over a billion years, a very very angry ice person will be able to decimate you easily."
"And how did his people react to that?" Luna asked
"They were actually pretty chill about it, he was a massive dick, according to multiple people. That's actually how I met a good friend of mine, The Grim reaper, or just Grim."
"T-the grim r-reaper!??"
"Yep, and contrary to popular belief, he doesn't go and collect souls, he just makes sure that they are dead before sending them onto the afterlife."
"After wandering for a little bit more, that's when I came here, and that is why I rejected you advances, I simply couldn't handle the idea of having someone get that close to me... I shouldn't have left, though, that's been eating at me for the past two-hundred fifty years"
For a few more minutes, we simply sat with each-other, Luna then asked, "What happened after that?"
"Well, I finally found my home dimension, but when I returned I was horrified at what I saw, my people, were living under the rule of a brutal tyrant, I couldn't let that stand, so I marched right into his throne room, and fucking murdered him, the guards didn't even try to stop me, they just let it happen, but that's not the worst part. After I did that, I took his body, and threw it out and into a crowd of people, once I told them who it was, they went fucking apeshit, those bastards tore his dead body apart like they were starving hyenas fighting over pieces of a carcass, the did unspeakable things to his body, we legitimately couldn't find a single fucking piece Of that asshole's body."
Both of the ponies recoiled not only at the pure heinousness of what he was describing, but also at the amount of profanity he used. "Now, my reign was an... interesting one, I was kind of forced to do it, and they liked me, alot, a little too much even. I Had to be extra careful with how I acted, cause if I made a single mistake, they would march on me with the intent of killing me."
"How do you know that?"
"When ever I would publicly out a government official for being corrupt, they and their families would go missing, only to turn up brutally murdered a few weeks later, Now, I think that is enough for now."
Luna then asked, "So, Frosty, how did you get here."
"Um, uh, I... uh, got a perma-death, so I redeemed my favor with Grim, and asked him to send me to a random dimension rather than home. so I could retire, so, uh, me being here was an accident."
"What exactly do you mean perma-death?"
"Oh, well, Palaw have a special kind of magic, call soul magic, which is basically where the soul is so strongly linked to the body that it gives magic, among other things, such as agelessness, and regenerative immortality, or respawning, which is basically just cheating death, but if a magic cancelling effect is used a Palaw can become mortal until their magic regenerates enough and if they die during that time, then they stay dead."
Luna then looked at me then asked, "How did you die?"
"I got shot, a very large amount of times."
"What series of events led to that happening, Frosty?" Luna asked
"To make a long story short, my empire was at war, they landed on our planet, we cornered them, I killed their leader in a fit a rage, and because I neglected to remove his guards beforehand, I got filled with more holes than a block of swiss cheese."
They both just looked at me with an expression that basically said 'how can you be so casual about the fact that you died'
I then had to explain what a gun was and how it worked.

I'm currently not entirely sure if Luna and frosty will have a romantic relationship, so I will hold off on adding that tag until I know for sure. Any criticism is welcome.

prologue part two: retirement
[the void]"FROSTY, WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE.
"One, I died, two, can you not cause me to go deaf please."
"Ah, sorry about that its not every day that I get a visitor that knows how the void works, so... how did you die, I thought you we almost un-killable.
"Heh, almost being the key word." I then went on to explain the events leading up to my death.
"So do you want to go back to where you died, like the other two times you've had a perma-death?"
"No, for three reasons: One, I would be seen as a god if a came back from a perma-death. Two, I've never actually permanently died before, I was revived both other times right before my soul could be taken here, even though my soul was out of my body both times, I never full died. Three... I want to retire."
"You want to retire?"
"Its not a secret that I'm not a good leader, never have been, even if the things I do end up helping, its only because my people trust me so much, that they listen to my every word. I'm a decent strategist, but that's about it, my job is very stressful, I just want to go somewhere, where I can live life normally."
The reaper says nothing, but nods in understanding.
"Exactly, I never wanted to be an emperor, but when I saw what they were going through I knew I had to help."
"You are aware that if you choose this path, you not be able to return to your home dimension, as even though I am going to bring you back to life, your actual dead body will still there, and due to the laws of existence, two of the exact same people can exist in the same place."
"Yes"
"When I bring you back I can fix your eye and arm, do you want me to do that?"
I actually had to think about that, I would love to have my real arm and eye back, but... "I would rather keep them, I have gotten attached to them."
"Very well do you have anything else to add?"
I thought for a second then said "No, I'm good."
"Then, I know exactly where to send you, but before you go, I have to tell you something."
"What is it?"
"As you know I've been a reaper for over a million years now, and I will be retiring very soon, within a year. My replacement has already been trained, I want to give you my scythe."
"I'd be honored to take your scythe, but what will happen to you afterwards?"
"I haven't thought of that yet, do you have a suggestion."
I take a second to think before saying "Give me a a way to contact you, and when you're ready to retire, I'll build a robotic body for you, I am quite versed in putting souls inside of robots."
"It would be interesting to actually have a body, I accept your offer.
He gave me his scythe
"It has a toggle-able magic canceling effect that is much stronger than a normal magic canceling effect."
"Are you ready to go, Frosty?" Asked the reaper after I finished merging the scythes.
"Yes, but I must ask... what is the dimension that you are sending me to like?"
"I wont spoil the surprise, but you are gonna love it there."
"Ok"
And with that he snapped his fingers, and I lost my vision again.
