Previous ChapterNext ChapterThe screaming. It was loud and full of fear. Chrysalis hated the fact that she couldn't do anything to save her subjects. The barrier had neutralized their magic and then thrown them off to badlands.
It was a bad situation and there was no escape. With their magic neutralized, the changelings couldn't fly. Even though their exo-skeleton was hard, it was no match for the ground that was approaching them. Then there was the problem of the terrain. The rocks were sharp and they would definitely impale the changelings.
All Chrysalis could do was to hope that some miracle would happen.

Chrysalis closed her eyes. A few more seconds and they would be dead. She could feel a build up of energy from the golem but it was probably to protect itself. The ground was so close now. Unknown to her a blue color force field had surrounded them all. The impact would be less deadly but dying was still possible. She felt her body hit the ground and then nothing.
Claire, a generic drone, was having a not good time after having a good time. She had fully expected to die but the blue forcefield had other thoughts. Now she was lying on the ground with a cracked exo-skeleton that was causing blood loss and a destroyed left wing. The blood loss was affecting her slowly.
She slowly moved her head to look around her. There were multiple lings lying around her, hopefully they were alive. She heard the sound of someling running and looked in that direction. A changeling was runnig around checking up on the changelings. She immediately guessed that they were a medic.
"Help", she said weakly, the blood loss affecting her more. The changeling rushed over and quickly started using healing spells for the exo-skeleton. She was picked up in their magical grasp and was put next to the golem which was providing some shade. Some rest will help.

"Can you help us?", a voice to the right asked. The turret swiveled towards the voice to show acknowledgement. A changeling was standing there looking at the turret with fear. It was justified considering what happened to Luna. The changeling composed itself and asked, "We need medical help. Can you help us?"
"...YES". it replied. The changeling was visibly happy.
"BRING YOUR INJURED WITHIN THE GREEN FORCEFIELD.", it said as a green force field flickered into view. A healing forcefield. It healed allies that were in the circle. Unfortunately, it consumed power quickly and healed enemies as well. It was just 15 feet in radius nor was it powerful but it would do. The changeling could feel the effects of the forcefield on him. He immediately rushed off to get comrades.

Canterlot was in chaos. Ponies were demanding action against the changelings and the golem that aided them. The nobles were trying to get more power. Princess Celestia and the element bearers were furious for what happened to Luna. The wedding had been postponed. Luna had been hospitalized and the golem was now a national threat roaming free.
Currently the other two princesses and Captain Shining Armor were in a meeting room with rulers of other nations.
"I thank all of you for attending this meeting. We are here to do something about the major threat to the world as we know it.", Celestia announced.
"What exactly is this threat?", Emperor Eagle Eye, the griffin emperor asked. Celestia's horn glowed as a file was teleported. It was easy to tell that it was ancient from the state of the paper alone. She opened the file and pulled out two pictures and placed them on the table for everyone to see.
The first picture showed a bipedal creature with clothes that looked similar to minotaur. The other showed another one of those creatures standing next to a strange construct.
"What are these?", the centaur King Vorak asked.
"These are... human beings.", Celestia said with disgust, "And those machines are called tanks."
"Aren't they mythical?", Shining Armor questioned.
Celestia shook her head and said, "I assure you that they are very much real and are a threat to this world."
She continued, "They were ruthless killers that once used to populate the lands."
"What happened to them?", Queen Novo asked.
"A mass extinction event that they caused killed their race but the recent events show that they are still alive and are probably planning the conquest of our nations to subjugate us."
"They don't look like they could do much harm with that body of theirs.", the minotaur king Jade said.
"While they can't do much on their own, it is their machines and creations that we should worry about. The tank you saw in the picture was just one of the many types they had created. Originally they were commandeered by a crew of a few humans but over time they made the machine automated. One of them has hurt my sister very badly. It is important that you do not underestimate them."
"Therefore I called us all here to make an alliance to fight these monsters.", she declared. The minotaur King Jade, hippogriff Queen Novo, Emperor Eagle Eye and King Vorak were now part of an alliance against human beings. Celestia was impressed in her ability to lie and manipulate.

Thorax was moving his dead comrades to one pile away from the golem which was healing the injured changelings. It was hard as he had to stop himself from feeling sick when the bodies were in bad condition but he was managing.
Boom.
"What?", he said as he looked towards the direction the sound came from. He saw a large cloud of dust and...
another one of the golems emerging from it.
