Life of a human turned dragon in Ponyville

Fluttershy POV

I was just sitting there, frozen in shock. Harry the bear, my good friend and protector had come to my cottage a little earlier than normal this morning, now that wasn't a problem for me as I always get up very early to take care of all my little friends. What was a problem was the shape he was in when he arrived, he had tears streaming down the sides of his snout, and he was blubbering something about berry bushes, so naturally I tried to calm him down a bit and get him to tell me what the problem was, what he said really surprised me, It was so outrageous that even I had a hard time believing him, not that I let him know that. So, naturally I got him to completely calm down, and asked him to tell me more.

"There there Harry, shh it will be ok. Now, if you don't mind, could you tell me more about this strange house being where your favorite berry bushes should be?"

So he told me, and by the time his retelling of what he had seen this morning had me shaking like a leaf. He told me that after waking up, he headed straight for his favorite patch of berry bushes. On his way there he noticed the forest was a lot quieter than it normally was, and he soon found out why. located in the same area as his bushes used to be was large clearing devoid of any Everfree foliage of any kind. and while that was certainly strange in and of itself, what really disturbed him was the fact that two large houses, and some other weird items were located in the middle of the new clearing. Apparently he asked some of the animals that were also here staring, and they said that they hadn't seen anyone yet, but that they thought they had heard a voice coming from inside. So, whilst crying over the fact that his favorite berry bushes were gone he thought it was a good Idea to come and get me so I could see for myself. Noting that according to his description of the location that it was just inside the forest about halfway between my place and Applejack's farm I decided that this was definitely something the girls needed to know.

So after offering Barry some berries I had, which he happily accepted, I made my way over to the Golden Oaks library, or now more commonly referred to as Twilight's library seeing as how twilight is now living there as the librarian with her young dragon friend Spike.

Now, even though it had only been a few days since we all met, we quickly discovered that we had created a great friendship during our trek into the deeper parts of the Everfree where we found the elements and ended up defeating Nightmare Moon. I still cant believe that Princess Celestia has a sister! Anyways we had quickly become good friends and I was so glad to have them as friends, because even though I was always shy around other ponies, I found I was able to loosen up around them, if only just a little bit.

So, after arriving at the library I knocked and Spike opened up the door, and asked if I wanted some pancakes, which I gladly accepted only just realizing I had completely to eat breakfast before coming here. So after telling Harry's story to both Twilight and Spike they were both just sitting there Starring wide eyed at me with syrup sliding out of their open jaws. Quickly shaking herself out of her stupor, and shaking spike to do the same she turned to me and said.

"But Fluttershy, that's impossible, a section of the Everfree doesn't just get removed without a trace, sure in a normal forest a high level unicorn could probably make a section of trees disappear, but the Everfree has some weird magical properties that makes magically destroying it impossible. Not to mention having two large buildings constructed within a few days just doesn't seem possible, are you sere about this?"

"Well, I haven't seen it myself, but Harry has never lied to me before, and I did notice how a lot of my critters never came out of the forest today, so a lot of them may be bunkering down, that's normally what they do wen they are scared by something."

"Well, ok I guess we can get the girls together and go check it out." Said twilight,

"Hey" Spike spoke up. "can I come with you guys, if we run into any Timberwolves I can light them on fire... and this time Ill make sure its my heat fire, not my mail fire...."

Fluttershy completely stopped everything at that point, her eyes widening and turning to twilight with a look of absolute mortification.

"Hmm" thought Twilight. "Sure Spike I don't see why not, why don't you go get Rarity and Pinkie, Ill get Applejack, any Fluttershy can get Rainbow."

"Thanks Twilight!, Ill get them and meet you at AJ's" Spike said as he ran out the front door slamming it shut.

Twilight then looked over to Fluttershy and noticed the state she was in. "Fluttershy, what's wrong?"

"Did, did Spike really send a timberwolf to Princess Celestia?"

Twilights eyes got wide." Oh, no, nothing so dangerous. You see, for my last birthday, after my parents brought out the cake, they asked Spike if he could light the candles. Now at the time spike had just recently discovered how to breathe fire due to a bunch of dragon sneeze trees that were in bloom. So, after taking a big breath, he sent out his green flame, but unfortunately something happened and his flame got huge and covered the entire thing, only instead of burning away, it proceeded to transform into a green mist and fly out the window.

Celestia's POV Around a year ago.

Ugh, why wont my dear nephew shut up allready? I love him, but Blueblood has been up here argueing why he should get more land for the past ten minutes and there are many more ponies here today that really need my guidance.

I was about to shush him when something strange happened. A greeen mist floated through the window and proceded to hover right in front of me, which just so happened to be right above blueblood who was the only pony in the room which hasn't noticed it and continued to talk until.

SPLAT

My eyes along with every other ponies went wide at what just happened, a cake had just formed from the mist, and proceeded o land right on Bluebloods head. Now, many things could have happened at that point, but only one thing seemed right.

"HAHAHA........"

After blueblood ran from the room in embarrassment over me actually bellowing in laughter over what had just happened, all the other ponies in the room and even my own personal guards proceeded to join me. What had caused the cake to appear was quite a mystery until my student Twilight came in the next day who told me what Spike had accidentally done after I asked how her birthday went.....

nd Celestia's POV

"Oh my (giggle) that sounds like something out of a comedy story "Said Fluttershy after hearing Twilight's retelling of that days' events.

"Yes (giggle) it really was, just don't mention it to spike, he's still embarrassed over it."

"Oh don't worry I wont." Said Fluttershy as she followed twilight out the library's door. "Well, I guess I should start looking for Rainbow, if she's not at her house she could be napping just about anywhere, you might even find her in one of AJ's trees."

"Yeah" replied Twilight "It amazes me how that mare can actually sleep at night with how munch she nappes throughout the day, well good luck Fluttershy, I'm headed over to AJ's."

"Ok, see you soon Twilight" Fluttershy waved as she flew off in the direction of Rainbow Dash's cloud home."

Thankfully after flying up to Rainbow's house and peeking through the window Fluttershy realized rainbow was still asleep in her bed, so she decided to knock on the bedroom window which remarkably actually got the response of rousing Rainbow from her sleep.

Huh, I really thought it would take more than that to wake her up. Thought Fluttershy as she watched Rainbow trot over towards the window.

"What's up Flutters" Asked Rainbow Dash after swing her window open. "What's got you here so early, come to cheer me on while I do some morning flying practice?"

"Oh, um, sorry rainbow, but its actually around ten AM. Anyways I'm actually here to get you so we can meet Twilight and Spike over at Applejacks' place. You see, according to Barry, my bear friend, there's this weird clearing with these strange buildings that just near the edge of the Everfree."

"Really! Well what are we waiting for, lets hurry up and meet up with the girls so we can check this place out, maybe its some kind of ancient temple or something." Said rainbow as she jumped out the window and flew off towards Applejack's.

Fluttershy called after her friend to slow down so she could explain why it probably wasn't a temple or any other ancient structure but the cyan colored pegasus was to far ahead to hear.

Finally, after about an hour since meeting up at the library, Fluttershy made it to Applejack's farm where she saw the rest of the girls plus Spike and Big Mack sitting in a circle by the open barn doors talking, or more like shouting in Applejacks case.

"Big Mack! I'm not a little filly anymore, sides, me and the rest of the girls will be just fine, heck we were the ones who went in and defeated nightmare moon at the old castle ruins, which might I add was a few hour trip, according to what twilight tells us it should only be a thirty minute walk towards this so-called clearing."

"Nope," said Big Mackintosh "I'm not letting you girls go in there alone, not after what happened with Ma and Pa..."

If looks could kill the look Applejack gave her brother would have burnt him to ashes. Fluttershy made sure to keep her distance from the two apple siblings as the exchanged glares. "Don't you pull that card with me, you know perfectly well we can handle them wooden abominations just fine, sides, we'll have a fire breathing dragon with us who can scare them things off before they get near us" Spike beamed at the confidence Applejack had in him to protect her and the girls.

"Nope, I'm sorry Applejack, but no. I'm sure yall handled yourselves just fin a few days ago, but you know darn well that if I had known where you were going I would have gone along then as well. I'm coming with yall, and that's final."

This was it, Fluttershy needed to defuse the situation before it could get any worse. "I'm sorry to interrupt, but Big Mack's only looking out for you Applejack, that's what brothers are supposed to do, protect their sisters from danger."

"Sigh, I guess yall are right Fluttershy." replied Applejack as her glare turned into a sorrowful look, "I'm sorry Mack, I know your just lookin out for me, I just tend to get aggravated when you doubt in my abilities to protect myself."

"Its alright sis, I understand, and yes I believe you could handle yourself out there, but you know I like to stay within the side of caution, especially when it comes to the Everfree." replied Big Mack with a smile.

"Yeah I know. Well ok then what's the game plan."

"Well" replied twilight "There really isn't much to plan for at this point, all I can think of is for us to go to the edge of the forest closest to the clearing, and carefully approach and observe the buildings and go from there. who knows what happened. Maybe somepony discovered a spell that works at clearing away the ever free and are testing it there."

"Well come on everypony" called spike as he climbed onto twilights back. "I don't know about you all, but I'm excited for this little adventure."

Everypony chuckled at the dragons eagerness then got up and allowed Fluttershy to lead them towards the clearing.
