While the ponies and changeling were making their research, Twilight headed to finish adoption paperwork for Chrysalis. Ponies often adopted filly so it sounds weird that she adopted a changeling. But this was an exception, Chrysalis was a queen that hadn't fully grown yet so she still deserved to be a royal even if she was adopted

'I'm going to make her surprise. She'll be happy to stay here as a princess, this will help her a lot in her relationship with ponies" Thought Twilight

Her plan was to make the changeling had more contact with her ponies, also help Equestria adapt to other creatures, which she was working on to avoid war. With this plan, she would not only help the changeling, got her sister back but also save Equestria from many disasters in the future.

Their discovery about "The mare on the Moon" had drawn their attention from the research to the story, also the start of the Dusk and Dawn celebration every year. Since Nightmare Moon was banished, and she would be back soon, the trio tried to search deeper and got to know about Elements of Harmony

"As the book mentioned, the elements represent the good sides of creatures, which are Honesty, Loyalty, Kindness, Generosity, Laughter, and the final element contains all of those, Magic." Said Celestia to the other two

"So if our research is right, that means Nightmare Moon will be back around 2 years. We should warn the princess about this, maybe she will know the element location" Said Luna solemnly

"But, we don't know where is the Princess right now, She exited the room a while ago, I just fear she is busy with her work." Said Chrysalis

'We should continue the research, we still have a lot of time. This means we can find more about how the elements work then tell Princess about her return is still a good option' Thought Celestia as she answered "We can tell Princess later, for now, we should get more information on the Elements"

As the search was on again, the trio divided to find more books. They worked for hours to search for the history of Equestria, which could contain the information of the Elements. But then, the door opened got their attention.

"The princess informed me to tell you all back to your room. It's already night" Talked a guard

To their surprise, outside the window, the Moon already hung high in the sky. The ponies and changeling bid each other goodbye then left the library to get back to their room.

--------------___________Twilight's personal chamber___________--------------

Chrysalis entered the room only to meet the princess who was waiting for her. She made her way to the bed and climbed up

"Princess, where were you when we did our research?"

"Oh, that was a secret that I have prepared for you. You will know soon" Chuckled Twilight as she nuzzled the changeling

"Really, princess? I'm so excited to see what will your surprise be." The changeling returned the nuzzled "But I have a question, can you answer it for me?" Asked the changeling as she made puppy eyes

"Of course"

"Do you know about Nightmare Moon and Element of Harmony, we found those in a book that related to friendship. And if we are not wrong, she will be back in two more years"

"Yes, I know about Nightmare Moon, I and her are sisters by blood and flesh, we grew up together, shared many things. But until we became princesses, everpony began loving me and fearing my big sister." The princess's expression changed into regret "That led her to corruption, which forced me to banish her to the moon. And about the Elements, they were the strongest weapon to defeat the enemy, which I used to banish my sister by accident. I just thought that the elements would help her get out of her madness, but I was wrong" Twilight mood changed again as she made a happy face "But that was the past, we should go sleep now, you still have much to research tomorrow with me when I announce some news"

"Yes, Princess"

Slowly, they drifted to a peaceful sleep. 'Don't worry sister I'll find a way to reunite with you again" Thought Twilight in her sleep

The morning had come again, the changeling woke up only to find herself alone in the room. The princess had left her in order to finish her duties. Prepared for herself, the changeling left the room, today she would have some surprise from the princess. And that meant she had to be fast. The guards informed her to go to the throne room

Walked through the hallway, the changeling finally got to the room. Slowly, she used her hoof to open the door, reveal the room with the princess alongside guards and maids. That surprised her, the ponies bowed to her

"I decided to adopt you as mine daughter, Chrysalis. I know this is too fast, sudden and important but I want to keep it a surprise for you, and don't worry, you will prove yourself worthy with this title in time"

Sorry if I put too much dialogue here, I want to show Twilight's thoughts and emotions so here we are chapter 3. I'll work on chapter 2 of "The villain's daughter" before working on chapter 4 for this story
