A visit to my old friends back in the human world
A candle lit up as it stood on the edge of the table, there was a quill being dabbed into a pot of ink. Sunset Shimmer was sitting on a table in her lounge room as she was writing in her journal to contact her friends from Canterlot High.
Twilight knew that Sunset Shimmer would be missing them as she came back to Equestria to rule over Princess Celestia's position, so she handed over her journal to her friends from Canterlot High. Sunset Shimmer couldn't be more pleased although there was something that was bothering her.
She couldn't talk to them face-to-face anymore.
With each sigh of miser, the candle slowly dimmed and melted away. The lights turned on which had gotten Sunset's attention drift away from her journal to the real life. She leaned over to see who did. It was a pink alicorn with a purple mane and a teal highlight in the middle. She approached the yellow alicorn and yawned.
''Sunset?'' the pink alicorn meekly said. ''What are you doing past midnight? She looked at the clock on the wall that was ticking. She tightly winced at the brightness of the room as she was still half asleep.
''Oh,'' said Sunset. ''Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up if I did.''
''No,'' Starlight uttered with a yawn. ''It's alright, you didn't. Although, why are you not sleeping yet?''
Sunset slowly turned towards her but didn't respond and instead gave a sigh. Starlight raised an eyebrow.
''Is anything okay, Sunset?'' she asked in concern, laying a hoof on her shoulder for comfort.
''No,'' she replied. ''Everything's not alright, it's just that...I still miss my friends from the human world.''
''What do you mean?'' Starlight asked, raising an eyebrow. ''Don't you write to them in that journal of yours?''
''I do,'' said Sunset, ''but I can't see them face-to-face.''
''Oh. I see,'' Starlight muttered. ''I get what you mean.''
''You do?!''
Starlight nodded. ''Why do you think I almost destroyed Equestria?''
Sunset grimaced. ''So you're saying I should destroy Equestria in order to get my friends back?''
Starlight slapped herself with her hoof. ''No, that's not what I meant. Anyways, if you miss your friends from that world so much then why don't you go visit them?''
''Oh,'' Sunset uttered as she looked down at her hooves shyly. ''I couldn't do that. Who will do my royal duties?''
''Uh...me?'' Starlight huffed, ''you're not the only one ruling Equestria.''
Sunset sighed. ''Alright. Thank you, Starlight. I will visit them tomorrow in the morning but right now...'' she hopped off her chair and trotted towards the door. ''I need some rest.''
Starlight gave a sweet smile and nodded as the yellow alicorn made her way out the door, almost, had Starlight not called for Sunset's name. She turned around and raised an eyebrow in confusion.
''Why are you writing to them at midnight?'' she questioned. ''Do their world's time work differently compared to ours?''
Sunset chuckled. ''No...I was just writing to Pinkie Pie and she stays up at midnight.''
''Oh, okay.''
Sunset smiled, trotting out the door to go inside her bedroom. She ducked herself under the covers and ignited her horn with blue presence to turn off the lights. She slowly slid her eyes closed and drifted off to slumber.
In the morning, Sunset Shimmer and Starlight Glimmer were having breakfast in the Canterlot dining room. They were having pancakes and waffles with a dollop of ice-cream made by the one and only Pinkie Pie since she is now head chef in Canterlot. Speaking of Pinkie Pie, she had decided to join breakfast with them and talk about...cupcakes?
''And then he decided to eat cupcakes instead of sandwiches because I told him to!''
Pinkie Pie gave out a big smile as Sunset Shimmer rolled out her eyes bluntly but chuckled. Starlight Glimmer cheerfully smiled and clapped her hooves in applause.
''Wow,'' she uttered. ''You two really have a lot of, uh...cupcakes between you two!''
Pinkie Pie giggled and blew her fringe back to act cool. ''Yeah, I know.''
Meanwhile, Starlight noticed that Sunset hadn't even touched her plate of pancakes yet. She raised an eyebrow at the sudden loss of appetite.
''Are you okay, Sunset?'' she asked in concern.
Sunset's head perked up. ''Huh? Oh, yeah. I'm fine, totally!''
Starlight flinched an eyebrow in a serious manner. Sunset sighed in defeat.
''Alright,'' she mumbled. ''No need to give me that death stare. It's just that I miss my friends.''
Starlight laughed. ''Is that all? Sunset, didn't you forget that you're going to visit them in their world anyway?''
''No, I don't mean that, but what if they end up hating me again because I left them to rule some world? They all fucking knew I wanted this!''
Pinkie Pie gasped dramatically as she stopped munching on her ten stack of pancakes. ''Sunset! No swearing! It's bad and inappropriate and you could get to Tartarus for it!''
''Uh-huh,'' Sunset uttered. ''For swearing?''
Pinkie Pie spat, ''well, duh! Everypony knows that!''
Sunset and Starlight rolled their eyes and got back to their conversation.
''Now Sunset,'' Starlight said as she laid a hoof on her friend's shoulder. ''Why would you think that? I mean if they hated you then they wouldn't have still kept contact with you in that journal.''
Sunset sighed. ''Yeah, but...''
Starlight raised an eyebrow and glanced between Sunset and Pinkie Pie eating messily on her plate of pancakes. She shook her head to break the glances and smacked herself with her hoof.
''You have been hanging out with Twilight a lot, haven't you?''
Starlight caught a slight blush forming on the yellow mare's cheek. She smirked but rolled her eyes.
''We'll talk about this 'crush' thing later but for now,'' she remarked as she levitated the yellow pony and trotted over towards the door. ''We'll go to Ponyville so you can go through the portal and greet your friends so you can stop acting so dull.''
Sunset yanked Starlight's horn and opened her wings to hover above the ground before she could fall.
''Crush?! What crush?!'' she hesitantly said, flapping her wings speedily and fell to the ground.
Snickering, Pinkie Pie batted her eyelashes and in a singsong voice she said, ''I thought you liked Flash Sentry and Starlight thinks you like Twilight.''
''Heck no,'' Sunset denied as she shook her head. ''Human Twilight likes Timber Spruce and Pony Twilight likes Flash Sentry. I wouldn't have romantic feelings towards an egghead!''
Starlight groaned, pushing her yellow friend out the door. Pinkie Pie made a big leap on the table and gobbled down all of her pancakes before trying to run after her two friends but it was hard to since she was bloated with pancakes.
Sunset Shimmer and Starlight Glimmer had managed to teleport themselves to Ponyville and in front of Twilight's castle door. They both glanced at each other with sighs before knocking on the door. They had waited for somepony to open it.
''Boy,'' said Starlight. ''It feels good to be home.''
''Tell me 'bout it.''
They both turned around to see an orange earth pony with a wagon load of apples and wearing a cowgirl hat. She smiled at them in response as she fixed up her hat.
''Woah Nelly!'' the cowgirl exclaimed. ''It sure has been a long time since we last met after that battle, huh?''
Starlight was about to say something but got interrupted as the door creaked open. A purple dragon with green scales popped in front of them with a purple alicorn. They both gave out warm smiles.
''Hey there, Starlight and Sunset!'' Twilight chirped. ''What got you visiting Ponyville?''
''It has been a long time since we've last met like Applejack said,'' Spike commented. ''I heard her say that behind the door.''
''Yeah, um...hey, Twilight!'' Sunset uttered. ''Um...is it okay if we could go through the portal so I could meet our friends from Canterlot High?''
''Sunset here REALLY misses them,'' Starlight pointed out. ''Like she can't help being so dull.''
Sunset scoffed. ''I am not dull!''
''Yes, you are!'' Starlight argued.
''No, I'm not!'' she argued back.
''Are!''
''Not!''
''Are!
''Not!''
''QUIET!''
They all stopped bickering with one another as the purple dragon burst out shouting. Twilight looked at him thankfully and cleared up her throat as she approached them.
''Now about the portal,'' Twilight said as she rubbed the back of her neck. ''I hate to have you come all the way here from Canterlot but I put that portal over there since I knew you would want to visit them.''
''What?!'' Sunset choked. ''Why didn't you tell that to me from the start? Now we have to-''
She suddenly got interrupted by Starlight. ''Uh, Sunset? We've teleported here.''
Sunset chimed down. ''Oh. Right.''
''It's okay, Twilight,'' said Starlight. ''At least we got the chance to visit you lot.''
Twilight nodded. ''Although, what about your royal duties?''
''Oh. Don't worry about them,'' said Sunset. ''Starlight got it all under control.''
''Or I can take care of them.''
They all turned around to be met by a white alicorn with purple mane and sapphire blue eyes. She was standing confidently as she ruffled her mane. Starlight's eyes twinkled as realisation had struck her and a lightbulb materialized over her head.
''Of course!'' Starlight exclaimed. ''Rarity can help me along.''
''I would love to, darling. In fact, I don't ever recall doing them now that I'm a princess so it will be no pressure at all if I could practice doing them.''
Spike floated up with hearts circulating above his head but Twilight shook them off and dragged him inside to cool him down. Applejack smirked in satisfactory until a pink pony bounced up from the ground beside her and gave out a flirtatious smile in response. Applejack's eyes darted nervously since she knew that the-
''I know everything,'' Pinkie Pie whispered with a giggle.
Applejack panicked and stuck a hoof up her mouth but Pinkie Pie spat it out and crossed her hooves in a serious manner.
''Now Applejack,'' said Pinkie Pie, ''when are you ever going to tell her?''
Applejack's eyes glanced between a bush and the Ponyville café. She ran towards the direction of the latter when shouting out, ''never in a thousand years the princesses had lived for!''
Rarity's ears perked up and took a glance at the orange earth pony running around Ponyville. She turned towards Starlight and Sunset again as they all shrugged.
''Well,'' said Starlight, ''let's go!''
She powered up her horn with a glow of blue and teleported the three to Canterlot again, leaving Pinkie Pie writing in her notebook but stopped as hearts started circulating above her head. She had written 'Rarijack, Applarity, RariApples, and much more...'

Back at Canterlot, Sunset Shimmer and her two alicorn friends teleported in the corridors of the castle, ignoring the guards walking by but saluted as they saw the princesses. They continued trotting forth to protect the castle. On the other hoof, Starlight turned towards her friends.
''Alright, so now where did Twilight put that mirror portal?'' she questioned. ''I wish she could of told us where in Canterlot.''
An orange pegasus guard cleared up his throat which got the princesses' attention.
''I don't really know where it is but Princess Twilight told me that she had put it in a safe room. I can show you where it is but there is a vault to go inside.''
''Oh. Well,'' said Sunset with a blush. ''lead the way, um...guard?''
Flash Sentry nodded, turning around to trot again and leading the others after him. They had went to the left direction and spotted a vault. The guard motioned his hoof at it as the princesses trotted towards it.
''Thank you, Flash,'' said Sunset as she trotted after her two friends.
''You're welco-'' Flash Sentry trailed off and scratched his head in confusion. ''Wait, how do you know my na-''
''Human world,'' Sunset explained briefly. ''Complicated story, don't need to get into to it. Now you can do your job, guard.''
Flash Sentry nodded before turning around and trotted back to his guard duties of protecting the castle.
Starlight used her magic to open the vault but it had seemed to be jammed shut.
''This thing won't budge,'' she weakly said. ''Huh. I suppose Twilight had casted a magic proof spell so no pony could touch it? But then how could Sunset-''
''Allow me to try,'' Rarity said. She flicked her mane and confidently stood before her. She engulfed her horn with a blue presence.
''Uh,'' Starlight uttered. ''No offence, Rarity, but if I can't do it then there's no way you can-''
''And done.'' Rarity took the bobby pin out of the keyhole and turned towards her friends with high confidence. Starlight's mouth was opened in agape.
''How,'' she muttered. ''how did you do that?! My magic couldn't even-''
''Not everything can be solved with magic, darling,'' said Rarity as she plotted the bobby pin back into position in her mane.
''But, I-'' Starlight stuttered as anger swelled inside her cheeks but Sunset had placed a hoof on top of her shoulder for her to calm down. She trotted forward towards the vault.
''Well, I suppose this means goodbye, guys.''
''Goodbye?'' Rarity repeated. ''But you are coming back, aren't you?''
''Maybe,'' Sunset muttered as she touched the portal.
''Hold on a minute,'' Starlight interfered. ''What do you mean 'maybe'?''
Sunset sighed and faced her friends. ''Tell Princess Luna that she can have my position again. I just don't think-''
''What?'' Starlight uttered. ''No, you're not-''
''But my friends-''
''And we are your friends too,'' said Rarity. ''And besides, didn't you already agree to rule with Starlight?''
''Well, yes, but-''
''But nothing!'' Rarity interrupted, pushing her to the mirror. ''You are coming back here whether you like it or not.''
Sunset sighed and nodded. She touched the portal again but waved goodbye at her friends first before having her whole body sink into the portal. Pinkie Pie bounced out of nowhere.
''Hey!'' she exclaimed, jumping up and having her two friends look at her in confusion on where she had came from. But then again, Pinkie Pie is normally like that. ''Wait!
On the other side of the portal, Sunset Shimmer found herself in front of the school and crouching down on the floor. When Fluttershy noticed her, her eyes twinkled in amazement and tackled her friend in a tight hug.
''Sunset!'' she exclaimed. ''You're back!''
Sunset chuckled. ''Yeah.''
A cowgirl walked by with a box of apple cider and noticed the two hugging. She smiled and walked back to her apple cider delivery until her brain properly functioned.
''Huh? Sunset?'' she uttered, dropping the box on the ground and tackling her friend in a hug. Pinkie Pie came from nowhere and dragged the other friends to tackle Sunset in a hug as well.
''Guys, guys,'' she taunted. ''I missed you too.''
''Oh,'' said Rarity. ''Darling, we have so much catching up to do!''
She pulled Sunset and they were all met at the carousel boutique. Rarity was brushing out Sunset's mane as she told everyone about her life in Equestria.
''It's all wonderful,'' she spoke. ''Life in Equestria has suddenly been much brighter since the last time I was there. Although, the thing that bothers me the most is-''
Pinkie Pie took a deep breath. ''You think ruling Equestria is lovely and you also get to talk with us in the journal but you want to talk to us face-to-face again and that is what you are doing right now and that's the only thing that was bothering you when you were in Equestria!'' She paused. ''Did I miss anything else?''
At this point, no one dared to question the pink pony knowing everything. She jumped back into position and gave a big smile for everyone looking at her.
''So let me get this straight,'' said Applejack. ''The only thing that was botherin' ya back in Equestria was not seein' us face-to-face anymore?''
''But why, darling?'' asked Rarity. ''I mean you have always wanted to become an alicorn so you should have been distracted from us with all those royal businesses you horses have.''
Sci-Twi nudged her. ''Rarity! How can you say that?''
''No,'' Sunset uttered. ''It's okay, Twilight. She's right. When you all first met me, I was hungry for power but now I'm not like that anymore as you all know. Now that I finally got myself some friends, I don't want to lose each of any one of you and I can't help but think I have left you all behind and chose ruling Equestria over you all.''
She shook her head. ''You all should know that I only chose to rule because I didn't want to disappoint Princess Celestia by declining it even though Twilight did, but still!''
''We understand, Sunset,'' Rainbow Dash assured her.
''Darling,'' said Rarity, ''you are not going to lose us and we all know how much you didn't want to upset Principal-I mean, Princess Celestia over there.''
''Yeah,'' Applejack conceded. ''We love you, Sunset, no matter what.''
''Yeah!'' Pinkie Pie exclaimed, surprising everyone by coming out of a giant birthday present. ''And we still get to talk to each other in the journal so that is what all that matters!''
Sunset sniffed, wiping away a tear. She said, ''you are all amazing, you know that?''
They all adored in awe and gathered around each other for a group hug. Applejack broke the hug and wiped away a tear.
''Oh, doggy. Ya can't believe who missed ya the most. I mean, he couldn't stop talkin' 'bout ya!''
* * *
Flash Sentry was met at Applejack's barn since the cowgirl was always the one to give out advice and to be trustworthy.
''I know, Applejack. I don't know what to do about it but I feel like I have gone from Sunset to Twilight to Sunset. Sunset has gotten a lot nicer over the years but now she's a princess like Twilight?''
He shook his head and formed a frown on his face.
''Wow,'' the cowgirl uttered. ''Ya really do love her, huh?''
He nodded solemnly. Applejack placed the bucket of apples on the ground and placed a hand on his shoulder.
''Look, sugarcube,'' she said. ''I know what it's like to be in love but ya are...a bit different to tell ya the truth.''
Flash chuckled. ''You mean Rarity?''
Applejack blushed and glanced at both of her directions before placing a finger on his lips. ''Shhh!''
* * *
Applejack bit her lip. ''Yeah.''
She had missed out the juicy facts though since Rarity was standing in the same room as her.
Sunset blushed. ''He really thought of me?''
''Ooh!'' Pinkie Pie sung. ''I see that blush coming through, Sunny!''
Sci-Twi was not listening and instead was distracted by texting on her phone. Rainbow Dash snatched it from her hands and read the name of who she was texting to. Sci-Twi snatched it back.
''Timber Spruce?'' Rainbow Dash read, getting the phone be snatched from her. ''You really like him, huh?''
Sci-Twi was blushing hard. ''He texted me to go on a...date with him, again.''
''Woah Nelly!'' Applejack exclaimed. ''Really? Again? Where to this time? Because I remember ya saying yerr first date went...not so good.''
''Well,'' said Rarity, ''whatever it is, I need to make you a dress to wear!''
She pulled the curtains over her purple friend, leaving the others talking with each other. Sunset Shimmer slowly exited out of the boutique and walked towards the school to see how everyone else was doing without her in the school now.
At the staircase in front of the school, she was met by Lyra Heartstrings and Bon Bon who had waved at her. She returned it back at them and opened the door. She could have sworn a white flash was blinding her but it was just some kid holding a flashlight.
Sunset Shimmer rolled her eyes and entered inside the building. In the locker room, there was a huge crowd and she was struggling her way out of there. Once she did, she was soon bumped into a familiar friend as he shut his locker closed. He gasped in wonder.
''Sunset?'' he said, picking her up from the ground. ''Is that really you?''
Sunset chuckled sheepishly. ''Yeah.''
''I don't understand,'' he said, ''what happened with you ruling Equestria?''
''Let's just say I've missed seeing my friends face-to-face so here I am! Visiting!''
Flash laughed and removed a hair strand that was falling upon Sunset's eye. ''You are still the same old Sunny.''
''Oh, please, not with that nickname!'' she grumbled, chuckling afterwards as she nudged him in the side playfully.
Flash blushed, rubbing his arm. He said, ''you have a lot of catching up to do because I heard that, well...''
Sunset Shimmer leaned in closer for the secret he was about to spill but he got interrupted as someone cleared up their throat to get their attention. They turned around and noticed Applejack with her hands crossed.
''If it is about Rarijack,'' said Sunset, ''then I already know.''
''What?'' Applejack exclaimed, pulling her chest closer. ''How?''
Sunset's eyes rolled. ''I told you that there's an Applejack in my world too.''
Applejack unleashed her grip off her and stared blankly at her, expressionless.
Flash broke their contact and held onto Sunset's hand to drag her into a room. Sunset cried out as he did. He slammed the door shut and pinned Sunset to the door so no pony else could enter. He sighed a breath of relief.
''Okay,'' Sunset uttered. ''What the hay was all that about?''
''I'm sorry but,'' Flash said, ''I've missed you so much that you have no idea.''
''Actually, I do know,'' Sunset replied with a smirk. ''Applejack told me.''
''What?!'' Flash exclaimed, holding onto her shoulders. ''Why, that snitch-I thought she was meant to be trustworthy with what happened with her and Big Macintosh. She didn't tell anything more to it than that, did she?''
''Uh...no?''
Flash sighed in relief. ''Oh, good.''
There was awkward silence between each other and they were both staring awkwardly into each other's eyes until Sunset looked away with a blush, rubbing her arm with it.
'Damn. Why do you got to be so cute still, Flash?' She thought to herself.
Flash looked away and glanced at the window of the door. He rubbed his arm awkwardly as well until he tried thinking up of a conversation idea. He sighed in defeat.
'I have to tell her,' he thought to himself, 'but what if she doesn't happen to like me back anymore?'
They both looked at each other as Flash had finally spoken:
''Sooooooo,'' he trailed on longer than necessary. ''Wonderful day we are having at the moment, aren't we? I heard it was supposed to rain today but I guess the weather forecast was wrong.''
''Yeah, I've heard that too in Equestria but other than that...are you okay? You're sweating.''
He was indeed. He got out a towel to wipe the sweat off his face and stood hesitantly. Sunset Shimmer raised an eyebrow before bursting into an uncontrollable roar of laughter.
''What's so funny?'' he asked, raising an eyebrow in slight confusion.
''Sorry, sorry,'' she said. ''It's just that before moving to Equestria to rule, we were so comfortable with each other but now we are acting all shy and goofy? What has happened to us?''
Flash chuckled along. ''I mean sure, you're right. I've gotten a lot goofier.'' - 'Around you.'
''Yeah, like when Princess Twilight was here in this world and-'' she trailed off as realisation had struck her.
She froze in place as a red stain spread across her muzzle.
''F-Flash...?'' said Sunset. ''D-Do you have a c-crush on m-me?''
Flash's eyes widened. ''Uh, um...''
From the window of the door, a pink head was showing through. Flash and Sunset both rubbed their arms awkwardly and bit their lips in response.
'Play it cool,' he thought to himself.
He took a deep breath. ''Yes, I do. I mean I don't know what it is but ever since you've reformed and gotten yourself some friends, you've been acting a lot nicer towards me. I will admit that you are pretty and I'm a coward to even admit my own feelings. You probably don't even feel the same way towards me but I most certainly do. You were so lonely before but now you have finally seen the light. I'm sorry for all the things I've called you in the past but that is not true anymore.''
He lifted up her chin. ''I'm not really good at expressing my feelings as you should know by always being shy in front of Twilight.'' He paused to chuckle, ''but I just want to say how grateful I am to have you in my life. You are nice, sweet, amazing, spectacular, awesome, beautiful and...'' he trailed off as they both looked into each other's eyes.
Sunset rubbed her arm. ''I...I like you too as well, Flash. I always did but I was foolish to deny it. Everyone knew that I liked you but me. I will admit that I was a total jerk when I first met you and you were right, I was lonely. I was just jealous that a purple someone was better than me but I guess that wasn't true and left Princess Celestia for no reason.''
She cleared up her throat. ''So enough about me. I like you because you are actually a great friend towards me and those silly events are all in the past now. You are loyal, sweet, goofy, kind, handsome...I mean, I totally did not just say that!''
She trailed off as her eyes were met by Flash's sapphire blue eyes that was twinkling in the daylight coming through the window. Sunset blushed but she was suddenly pulled into a loving kiss. Her eyes widened in shock on his sudden act of bravery. Her eyes slowly slid closed as Flash placed a hand on her waist.
They both drifted into the soft, but passionate kiss. This was Sunset's and Flash's very first kiss since they never shared one when they dated since Sunset didn't actually care about him then. She couldn't admit this out loud but for a boy who never had his first kiss before, he was a great kisser.
Soon after, the door crashed open on them and they quickly drifted away from the lingering kiss. It was Pinkie Pie and Rarity standing before them with adoring faces in awe. Sunset's cheeks swelled up with anger and a big red stain was spreading across her muzzle.
''That was so cute!'' Pinkie Pie exclaimed, bouncing up and down.
Rarity sighed flirtatiously. ''That was so romantic.''
''I...'' Flash uttered. ''You girls were eavesdropping on us?!''
Pinkie Pie and Rarity were mimicking over each other. ''Oh. Well, we wouldn't say 'eavesdropping'.''
Pinkie Pie soon began bouncing on the tables. ''Still, that was so damn cute! Wait for me to tell this to the whole school! *gasps* Everyone will be shocked and-''
She suddenly got interrupted as Sunset clipped her mouth closed.
''Hold on a minute,'' she said. ''We never said we are ready to tell everyone else.''
''Yeah,'' Flash conceded as he crossed his arms against his chest.
''Oh. Don't worry because we already know.''
Standing at the doorway, there was Applejack and Fluttershy with a whole crowd of people outside and looking at them in satisfactory. Flash gulped until Sunset placed an assuring hand on his shoulder.
''It's alright, everyone. Go ahead and tell all your family members.'' She whispered to her new boyfriend, ''not like they would ever care.'' Flash chuckled in response.
The crowd of ponies started exiting out of the school merrily. Rainbow Dash came inside with an hysterical laughter.
''So I see our ship has finally sailed, huh?'' she said, nudging Sci-Twi next to her.
''Hey,'' said Pinkie Pie. ''Where did they go?''
Sunset Shimmer and Flash Sentry were next to the portal, sitting beside it. Sunset's head was leaning against Flash as he caressed her. He had got to admit that Sunset is a lot more loving than she was before.
''I love you, Sunset.''
''I love you too, Flash.''
Flash Sentry landed a kiss on her forehead as she rested her eyes.
''Do you think it'll last forever since you...'' he trailed off with a gulp.
''Ruling Equestria?'' she completed. ''Don't worry, we will still make contact with each other with the journal Princess Twilight gave to our friends to write to me. I'm sure they will allow you to write in it as well.''
''Sure will!'' a squeaky voice appeared on top of the portal.
Rainbow Dash groaned. ''Pinkie! Now you blew our hiding spot on spying on them.''
''You two!'' Rarity shouted. ''Quiet down now or I'll-''
Sunset rolled her eyes. ''And I will still visit you all, especially you.'' She had playfully poked him in the chin.
Flash blushed and pulled her into another lingering and passionate kiss, whereas the others were adoring the scene in awe, except Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie who were bickering with each other. Rarity had sent them a glare. They both shrunk down and noticed the couple kissing.
''Awwwwww!'' they trailed on longer than necessary in unison.
