Trouble Turn-Around

Rainbow made it to her room with worry on her face. What she saw devastated her heart. Her lover was sitting on her bed and softly crying with his hooves over his eyes. She slowly approached him, trying not to scare him. "Soarin, what's wrong?"

She didn't get a response. She only continued to see her lover cry. She was thankful that he wasn't crying a lot, only a few sobs, but it was still enough to break her heart.

Rainbow slowly wrapped a hoof around his shoulder and nuzzled her cheek in his mane. He thankfully started to calm down at the affectionate touch and gave a quiet response. "Rainbow."

"What's wrong, Soarin? I only want to help you out with whatever problem you're having." Rainbow was careful to choose the right words to not make her partner cry again.

Soarin took a few breaths to calm down further before speaking. "I was trying to shower. Spitfire started a conversation with me. I didn't think much of it until she came closer. I tried to hide the cage but she soon got suspicious. I was then an idiot and slipped in the shower. She saw everything and I'm fully ashamed of myself."

Rainbow listened carefully to each and every word he was saying. However, there was one thing that he said that caught her attention the most. He had said that he was ashamed of himself. What was he ashamed of?

"Soar, what do you mean you're ashamed of yourself? You're not an idiot. You didn't do anything wrong. You got many wonderful compliments today by our captains. That should spark happiness in you at least."

At this point, Rainbow wrapped both hooves around the poor stallion while continuing to softly nuzzle his mane. This seemed to work a little since Soarin was almost fully calm at this point.

"Rainbow, Spitfire saw my chastity cage. She saw what I had on. I don't want to go back. I'm so thankful that our next practice session is four days from now. That gives all of us a good amount of time to clear our minds and hope to forget that super embarrassing moment."

The stallion finished with wrapping his hooves around Rainbow's body, embracing each other in a tight hug. Neither one of them said anything for a while before they both parted. They softly stared into each other's eyes. Rainbow gave a small smile and grabbed his hoof to hold in her hoof.

"Soarin, it's nothing to be ashamed of. Yeah, I understand it's a little embarrassing, but it's not like she's going to hate you for the rest of your life because of it. She's still going to think highly of you even with the cage. It shocked her, but it's not the end of the world. In the end, we have each other, and I'm sure that's what matters the most."

Soarin started to slowly tear up. This wasn't from sadness, but from love. He pulled his marefriend closer to him and wrapped both hooves back around her. Rainbow happily hugged back while rubbing his back. They stayed for a few seconds before parting again.

"Rainbow, you don't know how much you mean to me," Soarin softly spoke.

This time, Rainbow started to tear up. "Aw, Soar, you're the best thing that's ever happened to me."

Soarin softly petted her mane and gave a quick kiss on her cheek. "I try my best."

With that, they both lie down and cuddle. Even with everything that happened just a few hours ago, they still played their cute roles. Rainbow happily rested on her back while Soarin rested his head on her chest. They were past the afternoon, but they both happily cuddled up for a little nap. A small nap wouldn't hurt.

Rainbow slowly woke up and looked over to her clock. Her eyes widened when she realized that they had been sleeping for nearly six hours. So much for a small nap.

She looked down to the pegasus still softly sleeping on her chest. She smiled at the adorable sight in front of her. She softly ruffled his mane but being careful to not wake him.

While she was petting him, she had a bright idea to come up with a plan to make him feel better. She would make sure to make it a very memorable night, but also one that would have a little twist to it. However, Rainbow would only add this little twist if her coltfriend was up for it. She did not want to put any more pressure on him than he was already experiencing.

While she was getting lost in her thoughts about planning tomorrow to do it, her coltfriend slowly started to wake up. Soarin slowly opened his eyes and smiled when his eyes met Rainbow's. Rainbow really did love the way he looked up at her. He was really adorable.

"Hey, Soarin. Did you have a nice nap?"

The sleepy pegasus gave a small smile and a nod before speaking. "Yes. How about you?"

"I had a great nap. Well, I guess it was really a sleep instead of a nap since we slept for six hours. It's eight right now. I can't believe that we've nearly slept through the entire day."

Soarin just shrugged. To Rainbow, it looked like he didn't really care.

"I don't mind. As long as I'm spending it with the one true love of my life, it's perfect. I love you so much, Rainbow."

It sounded like Soarin was speaking through tiredness, but Rainbow brushed it off. "I love you too, sleepyhead."

They both rested in silence for a little while before Rainbow would start talking about her fun plan that they would have tomorrow, or a future day if not tomorrow.

"Hey, Soar, I got a special day planned ahead for us."

The stallion's ears perked up at this. "Huh?"

Rainbow knew exactly how to make Soarin the happiest pony in Equestria. She wanted to say her plan, but she didn't want to spoil it.

"You see, I would like to share to you all of it, but that would mean it would be spoiled."

Soarin slowly rolled his eyes playfully. "Now you've gotten me curious."

"Do you want a hint?"

Soarin raised his head off of his lover's chest and smiled. "Sure."

Rainbow started to rub circles around his back. "All I will tell you is that it will require bits, a lot of bits. I'm sure that will be enough to really show you how much fun we can have. I'm planning to do it tomorrow if that's okay with you. I've heard that it's supposed to be a really nice day out tomorrow."

Soarin nearly flipped up with excitement. "I can't wait! We should totally do it tomorrow!"

Rainbow giggled at her coltfriend's enthusiasm. "We sure can. Don't worry. I'll make sure to round up a lot of bits for us tomorrow."

Soarin softly nuzzled his cheek against Rainbow's soft coat. They were both so cozy. "You're the best, Rainbow Dash."

Rainbow kissed him on the muzzle and held him closer underneath the covers. "I do my best for the love of my life. Let's get some more shut-eye. We have a big day ahead of us tomorrow. Trust me when I say we'll need the most sleep we can."

Ending with one last kiss on each other's muzzle, they slowly drifted off to sleep. Both of their smiles never faded at what would be happening the next day.
