Tara-iam the mysterious land in which several of the demi-human races originated. Some of these races are were-beasts, mer-humans, etc; however, there is one race that stands above the rest, the Vampire which is split into two types with their own traits, abilities and both types of vampire had a clan that ruled over Tara-iam until a civil war cause the near extinction of the Bloodcrest clan which Hades Bloodcrest, a fifteen year old vampire hybrid unknowingly is a part of.

However, after his family was wiped out he was adopted by a human family when he was only two weeks old. When the leaders of the rebel army found out that a member of the Bloodcrest clan is still alive, Hades along with the rest of the student council that he was forced to join have to protect Canterlot Prep from those sent to kill Hades.
