(Four days later)
(Zero's camp)

It's been a day after transforming his escape pod into a camp for the Protogen to figure out these 'rifts' that Twilight told him about and what could have caused one to open so large it created a tear into the fabric of space-time for him to be spat out here.

Luckily the 'human' lifespan of being a Protogen along with his super computer-like brain that could match up with a Primarch from Warhammer 40,000 helped with him thinking of theories like how it happened.

Did the Reach's power core go off at the same time one of these rifts happen? No, that can be it these rifts aren't random but they are just a small flux of energy going out for a moment, and lucky he used the system he built from the escape pod to help him out when need. Tapping his metal-covered fingers on the table he hummed a familiar tune to himself from his past days of being a human.

He looked at the machine and from what he could tell the fluxes were getting bigger and bigger before dropping back to zero... the number not him. It was strange and from his readings, he could project the next large flux that could happen but with the limited system, he could only see within 30 basic days... In a nutshell, 30 Earth/Equis days both having the same amount of hours was slightly strange but then again this was a kid show.

Looking at potential predicted fluxes that were going to happen in the next month, for the first two weeks nothing but it would jump on week three on tuesday at 12:12 pm when it would reach a high flux. He didn't know how big the flux that brought him (it was that at all) was, but none the less if another Protogen/Synth could arrive in this would during that open window then he need to prep.

He had limit supplies and the Printer system (think star trek) was going to need raw resources and knowing where he was and knowing that Twilight would try something known as her stunt from the MLP movie. Well yeah, he needs to be extra careful best create a mark I portable force field generator, it would keep her out along with no way of teleportation in but digging in might be a problem.

Best set up some form of defense for that... but what?

Something non-lethal but a sonic drive could bury them alive which could kill them but what?

Sure she isn't a diamond dog but there are those diamond dogs out there and can't risk them taking the gear if by accident or if Twilight would hire them... not like she would.

Would she?

Maybe.

Who knows.

But either way, it won't happen and if need be he would use the sonic drive system if push comes to shove.

"Now then... What should I-" He stopped upon hearing a stick snap as he turned into the forest from under the tent cover above his camp.

It was night and the small lights were bright but they could only go so far into the dark forest, Zero looked forward before turning his visor to thermal and upon doing so he saw three young beings in the forest. Relaxing and moving his hand from his sidearm he sighed.

"Come on out you three I can see you," Zero said as the three slowly moving targets stopped dead in their tracks this cause them to bump into each other before falling out of the trees followed by a series of 'OW!'

"How did you see us?" The familiar sister of Rarity asked.

"I'm different," Zero said with one of his hands out before crossing it back. "Now why you three here?"

"We heard about you in town! The robot alien that came from the sky!" Applebloom said as Zero held his visor.

"Again that word... I understand I'm a stranger to this world but that word is highly offensive to most races," This caused the three to freeze up.

"W-w-w-what? What did we saying,"

"The A word..." Zero threw out.

"What? Alien?" Rainbow dash's 'sister' asked.

"God maker... YES! That word the only word that she said that started with an A!" Zero said pointing it out.

"Sorry mister we didn't know it was offensive," Applebloom said as Zero rubbed his visor.

"It's fine what do you girls want?"

"We wanted to see the ali-" Before the young daredevil could finish the two placed their hands on her mouth.

Zero just gave the girls aboard a look as the orange-coated filly give a light chuckle as her friends moved from her.

"Heheh sorry," Scootaloo said as Zero just gave an annoyed look on his visor.

"Well you saw me please go back home before your families find out you're gone and blame the 'off worlder'," Zero said as the girls spoke.

"But-"

"No buts go on! Go! Scram! Hit the road Jack! Los Los!" Zero said as he gently pushed the girls back into the forest.

"But we don't know how to get back it's so dark!"

"Do you have a flashlight then?" The Protogen asked.

"Yes but-"

"Go forward until you hit the path the turn left and you'll make it back to Ponyville please leave me alone I have work to do," Zero said as the girls hung theirs heads leaving Zero to sigh as he hated to do that but knowing how xenophobic the MLP-verse was it was better safe than sorry.

Walking back to his system he plugged back in and began to get back to work trying to locate any nearby metal veins he could use to harvest for the shield system and maybe the sonic drives but he was also going to need to repair his jet system while he was at it.

Man, it was going to be a long ass night...

Sorry for the short chapter lads but I wanted to get this out since 'Curse or Gift' got its chapter 3 out with 72 ours of its release...

So yeah...
