Lunar Sword

"Send reinforcements to the Princesses chambers and all the lower levels, i want this castle sealed off ASAP." he turned to one of the other Lunar guards, "What are we dealing with here Lieutenant?"

The lieutenant turned to him, "We aren't sure sir, he just came out of nowhere, we don't know who he is, and we vaguely know his motive." He sighed with distress, "all we know is he is headed for Princess Luna's chambers."

Now he seemed concerned, nobody hurt his princess, "Then why hasn't he been stopped yet!?" the commander yelled.

The lieutenant was panicking, "We are trying our hardest sir, he has some form of magic that we've never seen before, he isn't even a unicorn he's a pegasus."

The commander was baffled, "If he"s a pegesus then how the hay is he using magic?"

"We think.......we think its his black sword, it might be enchanted. it also gives him the ability to teleport short distances from shadow to shadow. we just aren't prepared for an enemy like this." he stammered.

The commander looked shocked, "have all the Lunar guards secure a perimeter around the night princesses chambers at once. Ill guard her room personally." He grabbed his sword and left.

It was about a half-hour before the sun goddess would lower the sun to make way for the night, that would give him just enough time to catch the night princess when she was waking up, perfect, he thought. He shifted his wings and trotted up to the castle gate. He outstretched his hoof and whispered, "Moon bright as day, blade black as night, and ethernal vapors, materialize and aid me now." A one sided, pitch black blade with a crescent  moon guard and ethernal vapor wisping from the middle of it  appeared in his hoof.

the guards where alerted by this and they surrounded him, "HALT, who dares draw a weapon against the castle?" one said.

He smirked, "Oh, nopony special." he turned his blade around, next thing the guards knew they where on the ground writhing in pain. He just entered the front door when he was surrounded by three more guards, he looked at the ground and smirked. Something was casting a shadow on him,and he vanished.

The guards stood there dumbfounded, where the enemy just stood there was nothing, just POOF and he was gone, pegasus couldn't use magic so how? one of them noticed a peace of paper on the ground, he walked over and picked it up. He unfolded it and read it. He dropped it and started to run off.

I'm coming for Luna

"Lieutenant where are you going?" one of them shouted.

"To alert the commanded, this is urgent!" he ran off.

From shadow to shadow, he took down guard after guard. how many now, thirty, forty?, they just kept coming, but he just kept on going. After what seemed like forever, he finally was neared the princesses chamber door.He slowed down and rounded the corner and was face to face with a Lunar Stallion, they where like lunar guards except more......dedicated, they've been augmented cross between dragon and pony, they have smoke grey fur and the strength, eyes, teeth, and wings of a dragon.

The commander looked the intruder up and down, "I'm impressed you've lasted this long, but no more. this ends now."

He looked him the commander dead in the eye and started laughing, "Let me guess, your here to protect the princess from the ghastly things i could potentially do to her, so i have to go through you to get to her." he chuckled.

"That is correct." he said.

He gave the commander a  happy grin that could rival Pinkie Pie's, "Then lets begin." He readied his sword.

His face remained stoic, "You shall not harm the princess." He drew his sword.

I don't plan to, he thought. Their swords met.

Inside Luna's room

Luna woke up from a very good rest, when she climbed out of bed she noticed something was amiss, the air had a certain 'ripple' to it that didn't feel right. She looked around confused, where is my morning tea?, she thought. where her tea should have been was a scroll that was marked urgent. She levitated it up and unrolled it.

An intruder has breached the castle

and they have claimed to be coming

for you, for your protection please stay

in your chambers till further notice.

"Nopony has mad an attempt at a princess in 1063 years, and even then they only went for Tia, so why now?" She made her way over to her doors and put her ear to it and listened. She could hear swords clashing just beyond the door. whoever they are they have made it here. She donned her regalia and ignited her ethernal mane. Suddenly the door broke open and Commander Fury flew through it hitting the back wall unconscious, Buck Norris would have been proud of that kick. The stranger stepped in and he dispelled the sword into a bracelet on his leg. Now she finally got a good look at him, he was a well built stallion with a dark purple coat and a short cropped mane and tail, he had vibrant lime green eyes and well preened feathers and his cutie mark was his sword.

She glared at him ready to attack if necessary, she said, "An assassination atte...." she was cut off.

"HAHAHA, Princess, I'm not here to kill you." he laughed

She took a step back, "Thou hast slayed our guards and thou claims to not come to murder us?" she puzzled.

He chuckled, "Do you not feel there presence still around?"

He was right, not a single one was dead, just unconscious, " Who art thou and why art thou here then?" she questioned.

He gave a deep bow and said, "My name is Midnight Sword," he paused, "and Luna, would you like to go out with me?"

"......what?"
