Gears and Scootaloo entered their tent. Gears pulled a cigar from a box that was in his saddlebags. He looked over to Scootaloo and his heart raced. “Come on Gears you can do this, your can fuckin do this, just walked up to her and make a move,” Gears thought to himself as he walked up to her

“Hey Scootaloo, I was thinking maybe we can get a bit to eat after all this is done.” gears smiled, his sharp teeth on full display. “Looks like spike was wrong,” Scootaloo committed under her breath

“So what do you say?” Gears asked with his friendly smile.

“Yes, I would love to.” Scootaloo responded, as Gray Cloud entered the tent. “You two need to-” he stopped as he notice the looking into each other's eyes then focus their attention on him

“You two lovebirds need some time.” he jabbed at the two

“No, what do you need” Gears question rather annoyed at the interruption

“We found an old lab that the solar army held back during the war. we're going to look it over, see what we can find.” Gray Cloud informed

“What does this have to do with the COR?” Scootaloo asked

“Nothing, but if we find something, we’ll have one over them.” Gray answered, Scootaloo and gears shared a look, after gray left the room gears was the first to speak up

“Well, looks like we're getting back into it. I’ll continue the story if you like,” Gears offered

“Sure it would make the ride less boring,” Scootaloo said as the two left the tent

1200hours, February 3, 1971

Gears was walking to the briefing tent, but stopped when he heard crying coming from the corner. He turned the corner and saw pepper; she was crying while holding a picture. He noticed her belly was a bit larger than normal. Gears approached her as he approached and she seemed to notice him. She studded at attention and saluted

“Sir” pepper's voice was shaky, he could tell she was still on her mind.

“I’m not here as a superior but as a friend,” gears said in a soft toun

Sorry but I got to get off the base I just resigned,” pepper told him

No, just take good care of the foal.” Gears told her, she nodded her head and walked to the exit of the base, Gears smiled and made his way to the briefing tent but before he could rainbow dash stopped him.

“Come on Gears, Twilight is waiting for us” Rainbow said, grabbing his hoof and dragging him to the tent. As soon as they entered gears noticed Gilda and Garble whispered to each other. He then put his eyes forward and saw twilight giving rainbow a peck on the chick. Gears walked up to the table then taped on it getting everyone's attention

Princess, forgive me for asking but what's the mission” gears asked

We have a lead on the elements, there's a scientist that has been studying them. She should have them now. If not, then she will at least know where they are.” twilight said

Where were heading twi” rainbow questioned

There's an island off the coast it's called hippogriffia an island abandoned a long time ago after the storm king invaded it.” twilight informed

Where are they now” Gears inquired

Don’t know they just disappeared,” twilight told him

Maybe if I get a chance, I can find them I mean everyone leaves a trail” gears offered

Gilda was sitting in the ship's cockpit while Garble was staring at them on the island. She was fighting with her rifle when she heard a radio crackle, alive with garble, whispering into it. She got closer to listen in. “Good, now the equestrians are on their way now, do not let yourself be captured.” Garble whispered,

Gilda pulled her pistol and aimed it at garble. He heard a click and turned to see what it was. Once he saw Gilda aiming a colt. 1911. She smiled at her and said “Gilda I know how it sounds but listen to me before you shoot.”

Explain” Gilda snarled

“The equestrians can’t be trusted with these weapons. When I heard how powerful they were, I have been informed my leaders and they sent some of their agents to take them. I have been ordered to keep them out of equestrian’s hoofs,” garble said

What do you mean, we can’t trust them?!” Gilda stated

Think about it princess twilight was raised by Celestia sure they may be in conflicted but they will have the same methods, who's to say that she won't take anyone down who she deems as a threat a massive amount of griffins took Celestia’s side what do you think the princess will do to your people after this.” Grable explained

Gilda was pondering what she had just heard. She slowly lowered her pistol and put it back in her holster. Just as this happened, Gears entered the cockpit with a scowl on his face. “Someone took my sniper,” he said, annoyed

Fuckin dash ugh garble were 30 mins from shore slow this thing down before we cash into the dock.” gears ordered

Gears loaded a clip into a Thompson submachine gun. Rainbow Dash held a Winchester 1897 trench shotgun while Gilda held a Browning automatic rifle. Finally Garble came to the three soldiers with a PPSH-41 with a drum mag. “What took you so long, Garble?” Gears yelled, annoyed at the waste of time.

Garble pulled his blade out of the mare's neck and walked over the edge of the hill. Gilda looked at garble as he took out a small box that grew into a briefcase. What's in the box?” Gilda asked, He took out a mosin-nagant. He assembled it and loaded the rifle.

“Its Gears’ sniper was going to take out the Scientist before they could reach her.” Garble informed her

“Why do we have to kill her, can't we just-” Gilda asked

Just what, take out your friends if you wish to keep them alive, then we must do this.” garble interrupted, he aimed at the scientist was pacing back and forth as gunfire was coming from the outside of her lab. Garble fired the sniper as the lab doors bursted open. Garble placed the rifle back in the box as Gears and rainbow entered the room

“Shit the egghead dead, Gears look around to see if we can find anything on the elements.” Rainbow ordered.

“Damn it we were so close,” Gears responded as he looked around the lab.

Gears, Scootaloo and Gary were sitting in a snow transport, it came to a stop at a damaged building. Daring got out of the driver's seat and opened the back, letting the cold air into the back compartment. “Here already, well thanks for the story Gears.” Gary Cloud winking at him, Gears didn’t notice as he helped Scootaloo off the transport.

“Ok everyone form up we got a job to do.”
