I'm back sorry I haven't posted in a while I'm just trying to deal with school so I don't have much time to write. also I'm working on the 2rd chapter of aftermath, hopefully I can get it out soon.

Into The Cold PT2

Gears lead the team to the entrance of the lab, seeing that the lab was locked behind a steel door. Gears walked up to the door, took a deep breath and let out purple flames hit the door. The three ponies were dumbstruck at seeing the flames leave gears muzzle. Then, after a few moments, gears stopped and looked at the glowing red door.

“Come on, guy, let's get in-” gears walked right into the door, hitting his nose on the door. Daring burst out laughing, Scootaloo joined her. Gears glared at the door for a few minutes before tuning to the group.

“Ok the door is locked, and it seems to have resistance to dragon fire so we’ll split up and look for another way in. scootaloo your with daring. I will be with Gary Cloud, take the right, we got the left.” Gears oreded

“Hey, you're not the one in charge here. I was the one that founded this place and the one to have a transport to get us here." Daring protested

“You have a better idea, I'm all ears." Gears glared

“I have no problem with your plan but Gray is with me."

“Fine come on Scootaloo were heading left" as they left gray glared at daring.

Daring walked around the corner with gray close behind her. The two came across a hatch covered in snow. Gray approached the door and tried to open it only to find it was locked. “Well it appears we're aren't entering from this way”

“Damn it. We need to find are way into this place before the others do” daring-do said

“Mother may I asked why are we trying to do this wouldn’t jus-”

“Stop is this not up for discussion and about the coronal gears”

“What about him?”

“I know you like him but let me tell you he’s not interested in stallions.”

“What!? look let not discuss this here let's work on a way to get in.”

Daring looked around and spotted a tube that seemed to be connected to the lab. She grabbed Gray's hoof and pulled him to the tube. When he saw the tube he worked on getting the grate off.

Scootaloo climbed up to the roof, Gears close behind Scootaloo saw a vent on top of a roof entrance, scootaloo walked to the door and tried to open it. It didn't budge. Gears walked up and used his horn to do a simple scan spell what he found rather surprised him. “Well were not getting in that way”

“What, can’t you melt it or something”

“Not unless you want whatever is in there to be incinerated with it. They put enchantments that will destroy anything in it.”

Shit” Scootaloo looked up at the vent, “what about that vent?” Scootaloo pointed out

“Scootaloo that's not a vent that's a chemical explosion system it separates chemical into liquids and gases and throws it out” Gears explained

“Learn something new everyday but can we use it to get in”

“Yes you can I’m to large for it though.”

“Ok we’ll keep looking then”

“No you head in I’ll look for another way in”

“You sure”

“yeah come on I’ll give you a boost.” Gears stepped under the vent and lowered himself a bit so Scootaloo could climb on. Once she did gears got up to full height and Scootaloo jumped, she failed to grab the legag she fell right on gears. He was about to push her off of him, but he saw where she was. Scootaloo landed on gears. She noticed that his fur felt thin and synthetic, like a fake fur coat. She looked up at gears and noticed the blush on his face. That's when she realised she was staying on him way longer than she should have. Quickly picking herself up off of him with a blush of her own on her face.

“Uhmm I uhm”

“Let's get back to work,” Gears awkwardly said

“Right” Scootaloo shared the same toun

Scootaloo got and gears back and jumped up to grab the edge, successfully this time, and climbed up she pulled the grate off and hopped in. gears heard a yell and a thud. Gears chuckled to himself and smiled “bet that would have been cute to see.”

Scootaloo fell down the shaft and landed on the ground on her stomach just then a stallion walked out of the shadows. Gray Cloud looked at Scootaloo with a grin on his face. She looked up at him, then the only light source in the room. Gray offered a hoof to Scootaloo and she took it in kind. Once Scootaloo was on her hooves she looked up to the only light source coming from a large grate.

"So mind giving me a lift" Scootaloo asked

"Sure, why not?" Gray whispered under his breath, as Scootaloo climbed on his back and pushed the drain and entered the lab. Scootaloo looked around the room and saw biohazard canters In the center of the room. scootaloo helped Gary up into the lab. He walked over to a filing cabinet and opened it. He looked through the files while. Scootaloo walked up to the canisters. She saw letters painted on it, she cleared the dust and saw “Zerfall 7” on the canister she noticed that it seemed to be connected to a small chamber.

“Hay gray see if you can fine a file labbed “zerfall”

“As you wish but do you mind informing me on why?”

“This canister is labbed “zerfall” its germane for decay”

“I understand it. I took a couple of classes when I was a colt.”

Gray was looking through the files. While scootaloo was examining the canisters. She saw two streaks on the ground leading to the chamber. She walked up to it and tried to open the door but found it locked. She walked over to gray and helped him look. After a few minutes later, Gray found a file labbed “project zerfall” he began to read from it.

“Doctor chemical burns lab entry 177108 we have finished the bio weapon and it will be ready to deploy against the dusk soldiers Any Day now. I honestly don’t think we should have made this formula but what's done is done and we have nothing left.”

“Well what else does it say Gray?” scootaloo asked the gray pegasus

“It's written in dragon I can't translate it”

“Ok, let's find a way to get it to the gas chamber to see what's in it.”

“It seems like it's a power door so we need to get the power on.”

“Ok I’ll contact gears so he can see if there are any busted power generators.”

Daring looked around, scanning the hills for any sign of the COR. Gears were checking the roof, anyway. gears noticed daring was on the ground underneath him. He hopped down on the ground beneath her. Daring instinctively aimed the gun at gears but before she could fire gears. He ripped the rifle out of her hooves and pinned her to the wall.

“Got cha”

Daring stared at him for a bit. Once she looked at her passion she got a devilish smile on her face “well looks like you can do anything you want to me.”

“Yeah I can,” gears said mock flirting

“Well then be gentle handsome” and with that little comment gears face red and let her go.

“Ok that enough” gears walked to get her gun and handed it to her. She chuckled and grabbed her rifle. Just then gears got radio

“Gears this is Scootaloo. we need the power on your mind checking the generator.”

“Welco scoots we’ll check them gears out” gears turned to daring and moshed her to follow him. She followed him to a far off power station that was connected to the lab.

“How the hell did you know this was here?”

“Every solar lab was designed to have an exterior power source. My guess is Celestia didn’t trust her own ponies.”

“Ok well let's make this quick. I have a bad feeling about this.”

Gears and daring got into the power facility. Gears looked around for any damage to the wiring to make sure anything isn’t out of place. Daring saw a switch that was connected to a primary generator and she flipped the switch. Power flowed all through the machines and threw the wires heading to the laboratory.

Scootaloo and Gray were walking throughout the lab finding anything else that can help them. The power turned on and scootaloo and gray ran to the main lab. Gary noticed a room that said security room on the top of it. Gray ran in and saw two VHS tapes two had been dated with 1979. He put them in his saddle bag and galloped to Scootaloo. Once he entered he saw her open the gas chamber. He noticed a wire that went tight and fell before he could check Scootaloo pushed him into the ventilation system.

“What was that scootaloo?” Gray yelled at her. An explosion went off fire consuming the entered lab.

“Do I still have to answer that” scootaloo said with a smirk.

“SCOOTALOO, GRAY YOU STILL WITH US.” gears yelled over the comms

“Yeah gears were good, what's the situation?”

“We got CERAForces on the way. fuckers probably heard the explosion. Get out of their now!”

“Welco gears we’re making our exit.” Scootaloo cut the comms and stared walking down the vents.
