Now Shining Sword had heard stories about the area behind the wall but as he walk he notice that those stories were not true though he had yet to meet anypony. He couldnt help but yawn and slow his walk and look for a place to make a camp he notice a group of apple trees and walks over before sitting down beneath one and lend against the hard wood, yawning again. He slowly started to drift off to sleep not noticing the orange mare who was watching him.

Just as he had fallen asleep he was suddenly awaken by a mares voices "hey are you ok?" He jump to his hoof ready to draw his sword that is until saw the mares eyes. the light green eyes of his reminded him of mother. He regain his composer once he realized he was staring "oh um of course I am sorry i just have been traveling for a long time and I didnt think anyone owned this land." she smiled "it perfectly ok i was just concern that all" she stared at him for a minute "i never seem you before are you even from equestria?" she started laughing and you did too, thinking it was best not to reveal who he was he decided to say he was a nomad and he always travel.

She nodded "well if you want your welcome to stay, your going to have to work but he have some room while your here," she said with a smile. Shining couldnt believe what he heard, she was offering him to stay at her home and she didnt even know him, he was the shock but try to not to show it. "thank you" you say with a smile, she starts to walk to her home as you follow. She started to ask you question, not surprising, the first one was "what is your name anyways, mine is Applejack." You try to think of a fake name but your decide not to "my name is Shining Sword." She smiles "I guess that explains your cutie mark" Your cutie mark was two swords cross with a shield in front of them. You two keep talking till you get to the house were you notice a old green mare sitting on the porch, applejack spoke first "granny smith this is Shining Sword he gonna be staying with us for a while." you smile at the old mare and think to your old nanny who happen to resemble this old mare. Shining Sword let out a small laugh as he thought of the time his nanny would smack him ontop of the head with a spoon every time he try to do something bad. Granny smith simply smiled and nodded before apple jack open the door and walk through while Shining Sword nodded his thanks to the old mare as he walk in. "I will introduce you to the rest of the family tonight at supper but the guest room is at the end of the hall" she says before walking out the door. You go and unpack what stuff you have it not much but it got you here. You walk back into the main room to see the old mare starting to cook, you walk up to her "would you like some help?" she smiles at you and nodds "sure sonny just grab that pot and start cooking the stew." you nod and you start cooking the stew listening to her instruction you get it to where you can just watch it cook. you see her grab a wooden spoon and you cant help but flinch, she see this and ask "whats wrong hunny?" she smile and start telling her of the nanny you had when you were younger
