Chapter 1 The Old but New Life
After the defeat of Lord Tirek and the restoration of all the magic in Equestria and Twilight's new castle called Friendship Castle.
She and Spike are now settling in to this new crystal made castle and now only the few books that survive Tirek attack are now being placed on the new library inside the castle.
"Spike! There are still more of books to go stop slacking around" yelled Twilight as she grab some books with her magic
"Yeah yeah I know.... it's just that can't we do this tomorrow" complain Spike as he placed a small stack of books on top of the shelf
"Ohh Spike stop your complaining" she said while placing a very large book on the ground "you know that Princess Celestia will deliver more books to us tomorrow so might as well get done with it"
Spike let out a sigh and said "all I'm saying is that we need some rest we been at it for three hours now"
Sighing in defeat Twilight said "We'll be resting after we take care of this I promise okay" while giving him a reassuring smile
Continuing Arranging books Spike can't shake the feeling that his eyes keep changing to his green slit eyes to violet with black lines circling around it but he decided to shrugged it off
While Spike was placing the last book on top of the shelf the ladder that he was on suddenly broke off the railing.
"Wow... Twilight Hel-" Spike never manage to finish what he was about to say when he hit the ground pretty bad
Spike's vision were getting blurry all he could tell was Twilight was saying something to him but the ringing in Spike's ears can't tell what she said
Then he could tell he was about to pass out because of his eye lids becoming heavy, then darkness that's all he could see endless horizon of darkness
"H-Hello i-is a-anypony there?" Spike said in the dark abyss of nothingness
But he didn't know that somepony or something will answer his question
"Welcome my reincarnate self"
There it was a voice so clear that he can hear it even if he was put on the marketplace of Manehatten
"Uhm...hello...d-do y-you know where I am?" Asked Spike while sweating bullets
The voice chuckle a little then said "Yes you are inside your Mind... Well in the deepest part anyway"
All Spike could think was 'how is that possible all I could remember the last time was I'm with twilight while putting the books then the ladder railing broke and....' Spike's eyes widened at the realization that he might be dead.
"You are not dead your inside your deepest part of your mind and I am you...well in your past life that is"
Spike realized what the voice was telling him and said " what do you mean past life?" while searching for where the voice coming from
"what I mean is I am you after you were hatch a dragon you were me a Shinobi a very powerful Shinobi that is"
Spike still can't find the owner of the voice but he still don't understand what the voice said so he's only chance of knowing the truth is asking the voice
"How can I trust you when I can't see who I'm talking to?"
"Ah...a very good idea I will reveal my self to you so we can have a very understanding talk about our situation"
And with that the voice revealed himself to Spike. He was like the human Spike meet in that other dimension but has red color hair wears a robe of some kind and also has a scary looking eyes. His eyes are Violet with black circles circling around it
" I am Nagato Uzumaki and you are me"
Spike was at this point scared because of this Nagato guy and the fact that his eyes creep him out and the fact he keep saying he and I are the same
"O-Okay w-what do you mean you are me and what do you mean reincarnate?"asked by a very scared Spike
"what I said is all but true you are the reincarnation of me Nagato and the eye of the Rinnegan are still can be used by you"
"But that is Impossible how can I not know that I have been a powerful being all the time!?" Yelled Spike confused
"well because reincarnation is a complicated subject to a mere mortal even I don't have that kind of knowledge, but all you have to know is when you wake up you will now remember everything that I have and used this ability to your disposal because I will fade away from now on because my time is up goodbye and good wishes"
With that Nagato Uzumaki Faded leaving Spike the Dragon Confused. With all that has happened on this day he wanted to just sleep and sleep he did not knowing that the place his in is also Fading.
"Spike....Spike....Spike!!"
Suddenly Opening his eyes he saw was a white room full of medical devices and he was laying down on the bed while surrounded by all of Twilight's friends and at their back was the two Royal sisters
"Ohh...what happened?" Spike said while rubbing his head because of the pain headache
He just sit up and looked at them but they just looking at him like they see a manticore
"Uhm...are you al-" he didn't manage to finish his sentence when suddenly being hugged by a Lavender Alicorn
"Ohh Spike I'm sorry for letting this happen to you I promise I'll make it up to you please forgive me" cried Twilight while hugging Spike tightly
"D-Don't W-worry a-about it just l-let m-me go" said Spike gasping for air
"Ohh...sorry anyway what is wrong with your eyes?" Ask Twilight looking confused
Looking at a mirror he to notice it, his eyes are just like Nagato that means all he said was right. Suddenly a Ferious headache loaded with Nagato's knowledge bomb Spike's head making him scream in pain
All of a sudden his vision darkened again and pass out. He will have a lot of explaining to do once he wake up again and it will be both exciting and scary.
A day pass after Spike received Nagato's knowledge and now resting to regain his strength. Spike know that Twilight and her friends and also the two royal sisters will have a lot of questions. And he will answer it all now he knows he's past life.
Spike is now awake and ready to go on with his life. After taking the bandages the doctor said he is good to go but suggest not to push it.
After thanking the doctor and the nurse they went to go outside his room but when the doctor open the door. He come face to face with Twilight, startled by the sudden action the doctor blush like the color of Bigmac's fur while Twilight just brush it off and gallop away to reach me.
Facing me with the face that said 'Explain Now' I sighed and motion her to wait. While I get down on the bed but what I thought was a long way down was soon replace buy a short time reaching the floor.
Looking at myself now I notice that I grown a few inches. I'm now taller than Twilight and my eyes are now back to normal thanks to Nagato's knowledge.
With the help of Nagato's knowledge Spike now know how to used all his new/old abilities and his old skills on being a Shinobi.
Looking back at Twilight and the now arrived two royal sisters Celestia and Luna Twilight now asked "Uhm...Spike can I asked you want happen to you back then?"
Sighing Spike said "I'm sorry for that Twilight it's just that...look I know you might not believe me but I have a past life I remember it"
The three Alicorns are now taken aback by this and now are looking at each other. After a minutes of silence Princess Celestia break the silence by saying " please continue dear Spike"
Continuing Spike said "my past name was Nagato Uzumaki and he was a powerful Shinobi or Ninja he can be compared to an Alicorn if not surpassed it....and the eyes that you saw yesterday was called Rinnegan some said it's the eyes of the God of Creation or Destruction for the one welding it and now all that power is now my power after regaining it"
Now the Three Alicorns was surprised to this but regain there composure....well at least the two sisters. Twilight however was left mouth hanging and if it can reach the floor it will reach it. Spike continue to tell them Nagato's back story and by now the elements are now present and some of them did not take the story well. Some cried like Fluttershy, Rarity and Pinkie while Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Twilight are confused and the two sisters are horrified.
"-and now here I am reincarnated as a dragon" after telling them the story he look at them and saw there still taking it in while the two sisters call for the doctor and asked if my head are alright. With the doctor confirmation that I don't have that kind of problem I'm getting frustrated because of not believing me then.
Closing my eyes and opening them again I have now activated my Rinnegan. They stop and look at me in shock even the doctors are shaking in fear as they saw my eyes. "Do you all believe me now?" Spike said with a grin.
They all nodded and Spike deactivate his Rinnegan and continue his Explanation about his abilities and skills mainly focus because of Twilight questioning about the Six Paths of Pain and they did not like it but he just said I'm not Nagato because now I'm Spike so they did not go further in that subject. After a few hours of explaining and story telling they come to a stop because it's getting late so they all teleport at the castle to eat dinner and rest.
After arriving at the castle at Canterlot they were send to the guest room while Spike was asked by Princess Celestia and Luna to accompany them at the Throne room. It's all thanks to Spike's past life that he now has good at hiding his emotion if not he would have been sweating right now. As they arrived at the Throne room the two sisters sit down on their thrones as they watch the Drake.
"Spike the Dragon we have decided to make this new ability of yours to help at protecting the land of Equestria" the Princesses said with authority
While Spike is willing to do just that he needed stuff for his equipments so he needs to convince the Princesses to help him at this.
"I'm willing to help you princess but may I ask for a little help for my co-operation?"said Spike while bowing
The two sisters look at each other then nodded and said "and what help can we provide dear Spike?"
Standing straight Spike replied "I need a blacksmith and a team of Unicorns only 10 is enough your highness"
The Princess were taken aback by this but regain there composure and said " the blacksmith shall be provided but what thus you need a team of Unicorns for?" They asked
Spike smile and said "so that I can train them to be a Shinobi -minus the jutsu because they don't have fingers- and help me to protect Equestria for any enemy of the future"
The Princesses think this for a minute then nodded saying " we shall provide you with our royal guards besides they don't see any action and not very effective so this might be a good experience for them"
Nodding to them before saying " of course princess I will make sure of that"
After talking to them and agreeing for a new branch of the military to be built but needed more time to do so. The Princesses plan to create a branch specialized in infiltration, sabotage, and assassination to protect Equestria and Spike will be the Commander of it with second authorization by the two Princesses that means if Spike is not around the only one commanding the new branch of the military are the Princesses.
Going back to the room were Twilight and her friends are Spike is greeted by sleeping ponies because of tiredness and so is Spike. Laying down on the bed, Spike fell asleep almost three seconds flat snoring to sleep while wondering what will happen next.

Chapter 4 The new recruits and demonstration
*A few weeks later*
On the other side of Ponyville stands a building that only the princess and other recruits and him are allowed to enter. In the center of it was a podium for the announcement or briefing to the recruits, next to it was a barrack big enough to house 50 ponies, the right side of it is the training area and a few obstacle courses that Spike himself design, on the left side is the Armory were all of the weapons and Seal Scroll of Technique and the now new Uniforms that are enchanted with protection and the spell to make the fur of ponies black, located near are the Blacksmith workshop, next to the offer building this is were the Princesses will discuss their mission for them, while the last one is a small building to house visitors like the main 6 or the Princesses if they just came for a visit or his very own house if not used.
The Base of Operation are ready and the 10 recruits are now have arrived with the Princesses and The Elements. It is time for Spike to Demonstrate his Power and Skills and then begin the training of the recruits. Walking to the Podium with everypony looking at him, he felt nervous but he just continues without making any emotion on his face.
"We have come here today to the formation of a new branch of the military for today marks a new start for Equestrian Defenses and training, I know some of you may have already known of how Equestria is being threatened of its long-lasting peace with the past few years but no more because today the recruits and Captain Spike are going to secure that future where all is still peaceful so I expect many of you to do there best at protecting Equestria" Princess Celestia finished her speech and a lot of cheers erupted around the Podium.
Afterward, Spike will now Demonstrate his Abilities and Power. All of the recruits and the Princesses next is Twilight and her friends sat overlooking the field of grass with Spike standing in it. They don't know any of the Power Spike possess yet other than Twilight.
*At Spike*
Standing in this field of grass Spike is now thinking of what to show first but suddenly knows of what the first technique to show.
Doing the Handsign then he said, " Wind Release: Spiralling Shuriken" then a Sphere of wind with a shuriken-like blade spinning around it appears then to everypony surprise Spike throw it. The Rasenshuriken and otherwise known as Spiralling Shuriken shot through the target and then upon impact, its spiraling wind expanded and swallow the target and destroy it.
Everypony was a gab smack of how powerful Spike's abilities are, but that is not the tip of the iceberg because what's Spike about to do is much more amazing than that. Lifting his arms straight and pointed at the 10 guards with bows and spears ready to attack him they fired and while the arrows and spears come close to him he said "Almighty Push" then all of the arrows and spears just got Push by an unknown force and sent the guards flying and knockout. The Demonstration comes to stop after that it was enough to see that Spike is capable of the Job the Princesses assign. And with that, the princesses leave with their guards, and Twilight and her friends go their separate ways to do their jobs.
*At the Training Ground*
They're lined up are the ten unicorn recruits that will become the future defender of Equestria so much as Spike wants to train as well but he needs to do this to defend what he loves the most....his Family and friends.
"Alright Fillies and gentle colts you are here to be part of the most but new branch of Military of Equestria, you will now all live with an Oath of Loyalty, not to the Princesses but to Equestria as a whole this whole new branch is publically announce but the new training, weapons, and techniques are all secrets and if ever find out that one of you reveals it then even if the Princesses have given me permission to use lethal force to disposed of you so shut your mouth" announced Spike as what he received was total silence and shock.
After that, no trouble arises from the first day, after giving them the first course of their training they for an unexpected reason was very much tired well they are unicorns so I guess physical activity is not much for them. But after several weeks of repeated training, they are now ready to advance to the next level. They must now train the art of a shinobi, first is camouflage, next is using Ninja tools like kunai's, shurikens, smoke bombs, paper bombs, and technique scrolls, then there's the art of sabotage, the art of infiltration, and art of assassination which arise some trouble. They don't want to end others life's so that needs more training which after the end of the last three month they are ready for their first mission. And that is to kill a manticore near the ever-free forest so once they heard this they showed no emotion but Spike know deep inside they are trembling. But Spike knows they have to trust their teammates for their team works but if anything happens he was near watching them close enough to help.
Arriving at the Everfree forest, they already divided into a Three ponies team We're they spread out to cover much ground. After a while of watching them I can tell they all have the teamwork so Spike can cross that out but what got his attention was when they found the manticore they move in action like the shinobi they are, silently as if they were even not there as they close into the manticore and then.....'BOOM' was heard and the manticore's paw was sent flying after a kunai with a paper bomb hit it after that a unicorn stallion emerged from behind it and slam his hoof at the seal and said "Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique" then after saying that he inhale and exhale a big ball of fire that hit the manticore that burns it to the ground.
After seeing this just put a smile on Spike's face for now the recruits or should he say Shinobi are done with the training program and ready for any mission.
