Thank You Mistress, the Remake
Magician's Folly
Previous Chapter"Ow! Hey!" A blue mare shouted as she wiped a tomato off her muzzle. "If you don't like the show just boo like everyone else! Don't waste food to be a dick! I can't even eat this!" The Mare scolded.
This mare was a unicorn with a toothpaste like mane and a magician's hat and coat upon her skinny body.
"Good! You deserve to starve!"
"You're terrible and evil, not great and powerful!"
The mare just sadly looked at the ground. Her horn lit up, and the entire makeshift stage was imploded, causing a smokescreen where she was able to get by, but not before swiping bit pouches from at least half of the crowd.
She was skinnier than she'd like to be, but the only pro to this was it was easier to pickpocket. She hated that she had been reduced to this, but the entire world wanted her dead, and she didn't want to die.
"Trixie supposes that Canterlot is where she will die." The mare sighed.
The once Great and Powerful Trixie was reduced to this, a starving showmare reduced to petty theft. She had no idea what caused all of this to happen. But she knew it happened after she took her tour to Ponyville. And She knew it had something to do something with those heckler ponies.
She tried not to blame them, her life was too hard to focus on anything but trying to get her next meal. She only had enough bits to get a decent meal. As long as it wasn't on Restaurant Row.
She didn't even think a meal there would even sustain her. In fact forget the prissy restaurants of Canterlot, she was off to the marketplace.
Trixie sighed and began trotting off.
Starlight nuzzled her Mistress happily. She was snuggled up against her with one of Twilight's large wings draped over her like a blanket.
The Mares were on their way to Canterlot together in Twilight's personal train.
"Thank you so much for taking me to Canterlot Mistress!" Starlight chirped happily.
"Of course my lovely pet. I'll take you wherever I go." Twilight promised, placing her head on top of Starlight's, minding the smaller mare's horn.
Starlight smiled happily and nuzzled her neck. "I didn't know you had your own train!"
"I always forget about it. I don't know who commissioned the build but it wasn't me, I fly and teleport everywhere." Twilight giggled.
"I think its cool! I'd run around and explore it, but I love cuddling with you Mistress." Starlight cooed.
"I love cuddling with you too, Starlight." Twilight chuckled, kissing her horn.
The unicorn mewed happily and rested her head on Twilight. The train came to a stop in the Royal Canterlot Station. The two mares hopped off their seats and stretched out.
"Do you have anything to do here or are we just visiting?" Starlight asked.
"Well I came to buy some things only sold in Canterlot, but I mostly just wanted to sightsee with you and give you a tour, my little pet~." Twilight cooed.
Starlight blushed brightly and poked the floor with her hoof. "Aww! That's so sweet Mistress, Thank you~!" The happy unicorn said while Nuzzling her.
Twilight chuckled happily and kissed her head before they trotted off together. Twilight pondered what to show her pet first. As they trotted out of the train station, Twilight noticed something on one of the walls. It was some kind of poster.
Her eyes widened as she trotted over to it and read the poster. It was a wanted poster.
It Read:
Wanted: Trixie Lulamoon Attempted Destroyer of Ponyville
"That isn't right...she didn't try to destroy Ponyville, that Ursa Minor wasn't her fault." Twilight commented as she pulled the paper off the wall.
"Who wrote this?!" Twilight growled.
Starlight trotted up to her. "Is everything okay Mistress?"
"Not even remotely, Starlight." Twilight said.
Her unicorn pet's ears folded a little. "Oh. Is something going on?"
"Indeed. I think our visit is going to be a little longer than I intended." Twilight said as she showed Starlight the poster.
"Trixie Lulamoon? I went to one of her shows once. She was good. She tried to destroy Ponyville?" Starlight asked.
Twilight shook her head and flicked her tail. "No, she didn't. My friends heckled her when she came to the town, and these two colts brought in an Ursa Minor thinking her showpony background was fact. She definitely doesn't deserve this." Twilight said as she trotted with a purpose.
The Alicorn was angry at this situation. Canterlot was one of the worst towns to be a pariah in. She was going to Find Trixie, and find who ever wrote that false paper, and clear the mare's name.
Starlight trotted alongside her, happy to help her Mistress however she could.
"Look, Trixie doesn't want trouble. She just wants ingredients, and I can pay." Trixie said, holding a stuffed coin purse.
The Marketplace pony glared at her with her hooves crossed. "Everything you get will cost you double, fiend."
"Fine." Trixie grunted.
She bought a few cucumbers, tomatoes, and a pound of ground beef. This cost all her bits, thanks to the overcharge of the shop pony, but she got what she needed.
"Now get out of here!"
Trixie glared at the mare but trotted away, levitating her bag of groceries with her. The blue unicorn trotted back to her wagon. She had it backed up into an alley. Her wagon was her home, the only constant in her life anymore. She couldn't pull it anywhere, because her wagon wheels were almost destroyed from rot.
She would never make enough bits to get her wagon fixed, being blacklisted and hated for something she never did. She wouldn't abandon her home, so she was stuck in this Luna damned city. At least her portable stoves still worked. She pulled out her knives and began working her magic.
Outside of the Alley, Twilight and Starlight trotted by. They both ignored the ponies trying to talk to them as they moved quickly.
The Alicorn was writing things down in a journal as she spoke with Starlight.
"She was last seen in Central Canterlot Park trying to do a show yesterday." Starlight said as she finished scanning a newspaper.
"I see, I see. Good work, Star." Twilight praised.
Starlight blushed brightly at her Mistress's praise and happily nuzzled her. "Thank you~!"
Twilight smiled at her before she turned back to her journal. "According to my research, following this pattern, she may have gone to the marketplace today." The Alicorn said.
"Then Maybe we should check it out, see if anyone's seen her?" Starlight suggested.
"I think that's exactly what we're going to do, my pet. Follow me." Twilight said before she changed the direction of her gait.
Starlight followed closely behind her.
The mares arrived in Marketplace in a few minutes. Twilight did her best to ignore the swooning she caused just by being a princess. Starlight growled and hissed at them, only calming down when Twilight petted her with a wing.
She walked up to the first stand of many and cleared her throat.
"Hello Princess Twilight! Thank you so much for stopping by! What can I get you?" The Marketplace Pony asked.
"I'm searching for somepony specific." Twilight said. "First of all, can you tell me who wrote this article?" The princess asked.
The mare looked through the article and scoffed at it. "Ugh, that damn Lulamoon. I'm glad you're here to do something about her. She's nothing but trouble. Anyway, this article was written by The Canterlot Chronicle, they're in the Business Block, their building has a golden horseshoe with a quill inside of it on their door, you can't miss it." The Mare said.
Twilight nodded her thanks before galloping off, Starlight hot on her hooves.
"You got this on the account of someone from Ponyville?" Twilight asked the author of the article.
"Yes indeed Ma'am." The stallion said.
"Could you tell me who?" Twilight asked.
"I believe it was a donkey, I don't remember his name." The Stallion admitted. "May I ask why you're so interested in this ruffian?"
Twilight sighed and rolled her eyes. "Because she's not a ruffian. Everything you were told wasn't the truth. Trixie didn't cause the Ursa Minor to attack Ponyville, It wasn't her fault."
"Sweet Celestia." The Stallion said as he realized just how much damage to Trixie's reputation and wellbeing had been caused over false information.
"Indeed." Twilight said. She turned to Starlight and gave her a quick nod.
The Unicorn levitated a binder to the Stallion. "This is a record of everything that actually happened." Starlight told him.
"Please make a new article. Do you have any idea where Trixie could be at this time?" Twilight asked.
The Stallion nodded and promised the Alicorn to do just that. "She's in Alley somewhere in the food district."
Twilight thanked him before she and Starlight galloped away.
Trixie backed away from the group of ponies surrounding her wagon. "L-Leave me be! Trixie is harming no one!"
"So this is where you've been hiding you bitch!!" The leading Stallion growled at her.
Trixie whimpered and backed up against her wagon. "Just go away! Trixie has done nothing wrong!"
"You tried to destroy Ponyville! What's stopping you from destroying Canterlot? Huh?!"
Trixie sidestepped a punch at her face. "Well, The princesses live here for one, and two, Trixie doesn't want to destroy anything! All she wants is to perform! Trixie never attacked Ponyville!"
"Liar!" They all shouted.
Trixie eeped as she was descended upon by a pack of bloodthirsty Canterlot snobs. She managed to wrestle her way out of the group before she sustained too much injury.
"You aren't going anywhere Lulamoon!"
"Destroy her wagon!!"
"Yeah!" Everyone agreed.
Trixie began to sob and plead for them to stop and leave her alone.
”Enough!!”
A voice boomed from the entrance of the Alley way. Everyone looked over to see the princess of magic standing there, her eyes glowing with enraged power.
Trixie looked up in terror. Twilight had gone and become a Princess when she wasn’t looking. The unicorn was shivering in fear as Twilight stomped forward, each hoofstep cracked the pavement with powerful magical energy.
“P-Princess. W-We were just-”
”The three of you will leave her alone. NOW!!!”
The ponies screamed and galloped away from the Alley as fast as their legs could carry them. Trixie shivered in fear as Twilight trotted up to her.
“T-T-Twilight...I-I...”
“Trixie...I’m so sorry I let things get this bad.” Twilight said as she laid down on her barrel in front of Trixie. She placed a hoof under chin and brought her head up.
Trixie’s breath slowly but surely rightened as she stared into Twilight’s kind, soothing lavender eyes. “Y-You...You don’t hate Trixie?” The unicorn asked.
“No...no Trixie, no I don’t. I don’t know why somepony thought they had to ruin your reputation, but I’m so sorry I didn’t stop it. I had no idea about it until today. I’m so sorry.” Twilight apologized.
Trixie tried not to cry, and didn’t succeed very well. “Tr-Trixie has nothing...the wagon is almost in shambles...nopony will let me work...”
“I know, I’ve gathered a lot of information about your situation looking for you.” The Alicorn said. “I’m going to offer you a place in my castle, I’ll even give you a job to help you save money.” She offered.
Trixie looked up at Twilight in awe. “Y-You’d do that for Trixie?”
Twilight smiled at her and nodded. “Of course. I can’t help but feel like the fault is mine for not catching this sooner. You’ve been suffering for years now.”
Trixie began to cry again, she threw her forelegs around Twilight, hugging her while thanking her repeatedly. Twilight smiled and wrapped her wings around the smaller mare.
“It’s not a problem, Trixie. Not a problem at all.”

I changed the person who ruined Trixie's life from AJ to someone else.
