The Return Of Anon
Chapter 2: Change
Previous ChapterNext ChapterEverything had been nice and quiet, relaxing, soft, and slightly chilly. Letting out a satisfied sigh, Rainbow felt content as she slept in her bed. At least until the alarm on her phone went off, playing that annoying radar melody.
"Mmmh.. Noooo... Jus.. Just five more minutes.." Rainbow moaned, keeping her eyes shut, trying to keep her mind in sleepy mode, and gently slide back into dreamland.
At least until her mom knocked on the door, dragging her from her peaceful slumber. "Morning, sweetie!"
"Urghhh... Noo.." Rainbow groaned, pulling the sheet over her head. "Too tired.."
Windy, Rainbow's mom, just smiled, tugging at the sheet. "Sweetie, you asked me to make sure you got up. Don't you remember? You told Anon you would walk to school together." Rainbow's eyes shot open, and sleep was purged from her mind and body. She got out of bed in such a hurry, that Rainbow got tangled up in her own sheets. Windy giggled. "My, my. Someone is excited to see Anon again."
Rainbow ignored the teasing, quickly finding some clothes to put on, and then sped down the hall and into the bathroom. Taking off her clothes in a hurry, tossed the running shorts, and T-shirt to the side, hopped into the shower, and turned on the water.
"EEEEEP!"
She yelped, as she felt the cold water hit her skin. In her hurry, she'd forgotten to let the water run until it got hotter. Oh well, if she wasn't awake before, she certainly was now. As the water moved from ice age to global warming, she started to relax, letting the feeling of the warm water running down her body calm her.
Hot showers were the best.. Especially after a good soccer match in rain and mud. Then there was nothing better than to strip down, and lose oneself in the warm water. Thinking about it, she wondered if she could get Anon to join the soccer team.
Knowing him, he probably still played, and with her as the team captain, Anon was pretty much guaranteed a spot. Then again, Rainbow had no idea if Anon was even good enough to join. Rainbow had pretty high standards, but she had faith in him. Even though they had been separated by time zones, and miles and miles of ocean, they had kept in touch.
Started with letters, then moved to online chat, later multiplayer games, and so on. Anon still sounded like the boy she knew, he still acted like it, and from what he'd told her, he still played sports. She smiled to herself, rubbing the shampoo into her hair. When she closed her eyes to shield them from the foaming mess, she could still see him before her.
That toothy grin and that messy face still stood out in her memory. It was kind of funny, despite having kept in contact over the years, none of them had sent the other a picture. It wasn't because Rainbow didn't want him to see her, or the other way around. They'd just never done it. Perhaps they still saw each other as kids, the versions of them that played in the backyard.
Not that it mattered to Rainbow anyway, they were still friends, so what did it matter how much they'd changed?
Rainbow finished her shower, making sure all of the shampoo was out of her hair before she stepped out. Her morning routine was pretty easy and laid back. Rarity spends hours preparing makeup, her hair, her nails, and whatever. Rainbow liked to do just enough so she didn't look like a cave troll. She didn't bother with makeup, or fancy hair styles and whatnot.
No, Rainbow was much more like Applejack in that regard. It was not a beauty contest, and they liked to be comfortable. When it came to clothes she was also more like Applejack. Not in style, or even in type of clothing, but in their functionality. Applejack liked clothes she could work in, which meant strong fabric that could take the grind of the day. Rainbow dressed in sportswear, clothes made to be worked out in.
When she was dry enough, Rainbow took her black spandex shorts from the pile of clothes she'd brought with her. They were good to run in, and it allowed her to move with ease. She stepped into them, sliding it over her legs, up over her rear, and tugged them up. Though as she pulled them up, she needed to wiggle her hips a little in order to make them sit well.
The shorts moved all the way up to her navel area, and reached down to just over the middle point of her thighs. The fabric hugged her hips and ass, but not in an uncomfortable way. Frowning, she turned her back to the mirror and looked. "Hmm, maybe I should get some new ones.. Seems a little too tight.." She mumbled to herself, running a hand over one of the round cheeks.
Grinning, she couldn't help but give her ass a playful smack. Playing sports for years had really done a wonder for her body. Her ass was soft, yet firm, just as an athlete's butt should be. There wasn't anything sexual about her touch, at least, not in her mind, but she wasn't stupid enough to not know the effect it might have on a guy.
Briefly she wondered if Anon would think she had a cute butt? She blushed, letting out a laugh. The idea of Anon, her bro, thinking she was cute, or that she had any sex appeal to him was simply idiotic. No, not Anon. Other boys, sure, but not her bro.
Why would she even think that?
Chuckling, she took a sports bra, slid it down, and got her bosom comfortably settled. She frowned, did a few hops, looking down at her chest area as she did. It jiggled and bounced, but nowhere near the amount if someone like Fluttershy did it... Though, she could tell they had grown. A tiny part of her was excited about it, even a little proud, but she would never admit it!
She was just tired of being the smallest of her friend group.. While she didn't have a flat board as a chest, she did find herself getting jealous at Flutters from time to time.. But.. She would NEVER admit it! Especially not to Anon! Wait, Anon?
'Damn, snap out of it, Dash! Who gives a fuck what Anon thinks about your tits? Get your ass in gear already!'
After the mental pep talk, she quickly put on her blue short-sleeved button up shirt, and a white shirt. Rainbow finished her set off with a pink and white skirt, and her signature rainbow colored knee socks. With everything done and ready, she grabbed her backpack and ran downstairs, and entered the kitchen.
Her dad sat at the table, like usual holding his morning paper outstretched, as a mug of black coffee was still steaming on the table. This was part of the morning routine, Rainbow running down to get some breakfast, and her dad looked over the paper with a smile, giving his usual morning greeting. "Good morning, Dashie."
Rainbow responded in kind, by giving her usual morning greeting. She dashed by him, but managed to grab his toast as she did so. "LATE FOR SCHOOL, SEE YA POPS!"
And again like usual, her mom was at the door with a worried expression. "Really, you should try and get up a little earlier.. That way you wouldn't have to run out the door like this."
Rainbow only listened with half an ear, quickly putting on her converse style high top boots. She kept the toast in her mouth, biting down on one of its corners. "Sorry mom, got to go!"
She pecked her mom on the cheek, and headed out the door. She wasn't really late, but she wanted to have time to walk with Anon. Normally she was late, or just about to be, but today was special, and more important than normal school days.
Quickly she finished the toast, walking as she consumed the defenseless slice of bread. As she approached Anon's house, Dash stepped up to the door, and took a deep breath.
'Alright.. You can do this, Dash.. You haven't seen each other for nine years, but don't go all crazy. Just stay cool, stay awesome, and don't go overboard. Rarity would never let you live it down if you squealed and hugged him like a little girl.'
Although she thought that, in some ways wanted that to be true, she did feel like squealing. Separated for nine years, it was like a part of her had returned. Okay, maybe that was pushing it, but she was excited to see her friend again. Talk with him face to face, and actually have someone who could potentially kick her ass in soccer. Not that Applejack wasn't any good, but she didn't have the same passion for it like she did, and hopefully Anon.
Taking one final calming breath, she knocked on the door. A part of her moved back into the past, when she was a little girl stood here, knocking on the door with a ball under her arm, asking if Anon could hang out. The simple yet pleasant memory made her smile.
The handle clicked, and the door opened. Her smile grew, and their eyes met for the first time in nine years
"What's up, Anon? Welcome home!"
Anon was stunned in place, Dash, or Rainbow, was a girl! Of course he knew that, of course his mother had pointed it out, but still. Now he saw her, now he saw Rainbow Dash, and not that kid he used to fight with. Maybe it was a little naïve of him, but it really hadn't crossed his mind.
Sure, he might have expected her to look more girly, but.. But this was just something he couldn't have prepared for....
SHE WAS HOT!!
His eyes traveled down her body, tracing her curves, and taking in every detail. Her eyes were captivating, for sure, but she'd always have pretty eyes now that he thought about it. However she'd changed so much in nine years, which he should have known.
Had she been flat as a board, he might have been able to convince himself that she was still Dash, but... Now Dash had boobs, and that sort of ruined the whole image he had created in his head. They weren't mosquito bites either, but instead between a C and B in bra size.
Anon knew Rainbow still did sports, and it showed. Her body was slender, but still had some nice curves. After her upper torso, you could trace her form inwards, then as you moved down to her hips, the form moved out again. While he couldn't tell from her back side, he could easily tell she had nice hips, and some really lovely legs. Nice sporty thighs that was shown off so nicely.
"Uhm, Anon? You there, dude?"
The sudden voice of Rainbow jolted him back to reality, and his eyes instantly found hers. Those beautiful magenta eyes of hers. Damn.. What the fuck was going on here?
"Anon!"
"Huh? What?"
Rainbow frowned, tilting her head as she waved her hand in front of his face. "You still with me, buddy? You totally spaced out."
Anon rubbed the back of his neck, slightly embarrassed he had actually frozen up and scanned her from top to bottom. "Sorry, I'm just.. Well, it's just been so long." That was true, but he'd also gotten quite the shock. "I mean, I didn't know what to expect, but, I wasn't expecting." He gestured to her. "This."
She tilted her head, looking puzzled for a moment, then smirked. "Oh! Yeah, I've grown a lot!" Rainbow seemed proud, and Anon figured it wasn't her height she was talking about. As kids, he'd always been slightly taller than her, but now he was a whole head above her.
Then she suddenly placed her hands under her bosom, pushing them up slightly with a playful grin. "Don't let these fool you, I can still kick your ass!" She let out a laugh, and Anon couldn't help but join in.
He couldn't help but feel slightly less awkward about this whole thing. Rainbow might have grown all the right places, but she was still Dash inside. Now Anon felt silly, he was freaking out over nothing, things would still be fun and awesome, no need to worry.
Before they could continue, a third voice joined their conversation. "Rainbow!" It was his mom, walking out to the door, passing her son on the way. "Look at how much you've grown!"
"Oh, hey!" Rainbow greeted back before Anon's mom hugged her.
"It's been so long, how have you been?"
"I've been well, doing a lot of sports, and hanging with my friends!" Dash replied, smiling as she hugged the older woman back. Once they stepped away from one another, Rainbow looked to Anon. "We better go, don't want to be late on your first day."
"Sure," replied Anon. "Let me just get my stuff, and we'll be on our way."
Didn't take Anon long to grab his things, and soon enough the two of them were walking away, waving goodbye to their mothers as they did so. Anon imagined their moms were probably exchanging happy memories right about now, commenting on how cute they looked.
Anon pushed it aside, choosing instead to focus on the day that awaited him. Beside him walked Rainbow Dash, she moved, not with grace, but with confidence. Her steps were light and fast, and Anon actually had to focus on keeping up with her. At times she would glance back at him, smirking as if she was teasing him.
"Can't keep up with me, big guy?"
"Well, maybe we could just have a normal walk? Since when did you get so interested in school anyway?"
Rainbow slowed down, punching his shoulder when he came up beside her. "I'm not, but the others are excited to see you again. Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie and Fluttershy."
He let out a small laugh. "I almost forgot.. Wow, they must have changed a lot since last I saw them."
"Hmm, I guess. They're pretty much the same, but, you know, grown."
Anon thought of his old friends as kids, then imagined them grown up. His eyes turned towards Rainbow, and once again he looked her up and down, wondering what kind of changes the others had gone through. He bet Rarity had developed some nice large ti-
"Stop looking at my ass." Rainbow teased, not even looking at him as she said it. "Your eyes get stuck if you continue like that." Then she laughed, making Anon blush.
What the fuck was wrong with him? Hadn't he just yesterday implied Dash sucked and swallowed?? Why was her teasing making him blush?! He was used to her teasing, used to the banter, so what the hell?!
Rainbow was sure she'd caught Anon looking her over, again. It was kind of funny, especially when she first saw him open the door. She'd totally shocked him, and that kind of made her proud. Many thought she was too boyish, too not girly. So seeing Anon's shocked expression was pure gold. She'd wished she could have taken a picture and framed it at home.
Still, it wasn't like Anon hadn't changed a lot as well. He'd grown taller, the prick, and had bigger muscles. His shoulder had gotten wider, and all in all, he looked like a fighter. Not one of those douchebros she would see at the gym, but a legitimate athlete.
If she was being honest with herself, Anon was really handsome. A rare shade of red made it to her cheeks, but she quickly hid it away.
'What am I thinking? Anon's grown a little bit, so what?! I mean, yeah sure, he's pretty hot with all those muscles, slender figure, and... Argh! Dammit Rainbow! Get it together girl! You're friends! Best friends! And everything is gonna be fine!'
Didn't matter anyway, even if he looked her over, it was probably just because he was surprised how much she had changed over the years. If he was going to find anyone really attractive it would be someone like Rarity. She made an effort to look all girly, probably knowing how to flirt too. She'd probably be Anon's type, or maybe someone like Sunset Shimmer?
Fluttershy was more like a little sister to Anon, that much Rainbow was positive about. Twilight? Hmm, it was possible, but Rainbow couldn't see it happening. Applejack? Again, possible, but Rainbow couldn't see it happening. Pinkie? No, no way. Not that Pinkie didn't have any charm, or wasn't pretty, but like with Fluttershy, Anon likely saw her more as a little sister than a lover.
Wait, why was she even thinking about this? More importantly, why did she even care? Anon could get together with any girl he liked, it was none of her business!
Despite her thinking that, something inside her just bothered her...
"You okay there?" Anon suddenly asked.
"Hm?" Rainbow looked up at him, having been too deep in thought to really see how far they'd gotten.
Anon smiled. "You just went all quiet on me all the sudden. You okay?" Rainbow shook her head, attempting to reboot her mind and get back to the here and now. Then she smirked, punching Anon on the shoulder. "Ow! What was that for?!"
"Oh don't be such a baby!" Rainbow laughed, and started to increase her speed. "Are you too busy looking at my ass? Or do you think you can beat me in a race to school?"
"Too busy staring at your ass." He said with a shrug, happy to suddenly have the dynamic change.
With just the tiniest hint of a blush, Rainbow smacked her spandex wearing behind, before she suddenly leaped ahead, running down the road. "Then you can enjoy it for a few more seconds before I leave you in the dust!"
"W-wait!" Anon called, taken aback that she was actually running away.
Rainbow just laughed. "Last one there is buying snacks for the winner!!"
Anon ran faster, trying to catch up to her. As he did so, he yelled after her. "Wait! Dash! I DON'T EVEN KNOW THE WAY!!"
Author's Note
Sorry this chapter is not so long, but I wanted to get the story up to 5000, and then hopefully do 5000 for every chapter following.
Also, someone mentioned the 18 age thing, and I get it, thank you for reminding me. The main cast is 18, and from now on I'm going to refer to Canterlot High, as Canterlot Academy. Makes it easier for me, as my school system is different from yours, and I get confused every time I look it up. ![]()
Other than that, I wanted to hear if anyone out there has any editing experience? I want someone to help make this story more clean, in terms of reading it. Be a huge help, so if you have experience, feel free to reach out to me, and we can talk about it. ![]()
I also saw someone commenting that it reminded them about Tomo-Chan is a girl, which does have some truth to it. The story was going to be something like that, and while it still has some of the elements of it, the main story was actually inspired by the anime B Gata H Kei. ![]()
