Therapy: Chapter 9.

Kalaziel sat in a waiting room, his right leg crossed over his left and his hands on the armrests as if it were a mighty throne.

Amenadiel, Jophiel and Remiel had advised him to see a therapist for what he had been through.

"Kalaziel Morningstar." Called a calm and young voice.

The ever-aware fallen angel got up and saw a white bipedal wolf with black glasses, dressed in a white button up shirt with a grey waistcoat and maroon tie.

"You must be Doctor Wolf, Celestia, Luna and Twilight recommended me to you." Kalaziel said. He'd never been to therapy but had been informed by Lucifer what it was as Lucifer himself had been to therapy with Doctor Linda Martin, or 'The Good Doctor' as he would have said.

"I am indeed, and you are Kalaziel Morningstar, a very majestic sounding name indeed." Doctor Wolf complimented, never in his life had he seen another bipedal being.

"I have the idea you wish to know what my name means, right?" Kalaziel quipped to the therapist. Always one for humour in stressful situations.

"Actually, I would like to know what your name means if you would like to tell me? I don't want you to feel forced to tell me, but only if you are comfortable with sharing it with me. I promise I will not tell anyone else. Doctor-Patient confidentiality." Therapist answered politely.

"Very well. Morningstar means son of the morning, like my brother, Lucifer, which means Lightbringer in Latin. Kalaziel is a random and unique name my father, God, gave me." Kalaziel was still confused on what his name meant.

"And if I were to shorten your name for a nickname?" Doctor Wolf asked with determination, wanting to help Kalaziel and put him on the road to recovery.

"It would be Kal. And Kal means 'strong' which could mean my father wanted me to be strong?" Kalaziel didn't know what his name had meant for so long.

"You mentioned your father and how he is 'God' to you? Could you please elaborate on that?" The bipedal therapist asked, curious to know more about his patient.

Kalaziel sighed and quickly made himself a glass of water.

"Very well. Once upon a time, a boy met a girl, and they fell in love. They had sex! The only trouble was they were celestial beings so that moment created the universe." Kalaziel couldn't believe he was telling the story of creation of the universe to his therapist.

"Mhm, 'The Big Bang'?" Doctor Wolf asked, becoming more curious about his patient.

"Never knew how appropriate the name was until now did you?" Kalaziel quipped. He found the term hilarious. 'The Big Bang' of all ideas humanity came up with and that was it? He internally laughed at the idea.

"So your parents are celestial beings, could you explain further?" the young therapist desired to know more about his patient's life.

"They had a whole litter of kids including yours truly. They built a house, they called it Heaven. They were happy. Dad was, well, Dad. And Mother..." He paused momentarily, clicking his tongue as he nodded to himself. "Mother was rather lovely in the beginning." Kalaziel remembered everything as if it had just happened yesterday.

Kalaziel felt like he needed to tell the rest of the story.

"But things change, don't they? Dad started going into the garage and tinkering with a little project he called 'Humanity.' Mother grew cold and distant. And pretty soon they were both neglecting their family."

"Oh? You have siblings?" Wanting to know more, the therapist pointed his hands to Kalaziel to continue.

"Indeed. Amenadiel, Michael, Samael, or Lucifer now as he tends to go by, Remiel, Jophiel, Raphael, Gabriel, Uriel, Zadkiel, Azrael, Sariel, Ariel, Castiel, Metatron and Sandalphon." Kalaziel counted every sibling he had off of the top of his head.

"You must have been close with them. You must miss them every day." Doctor Wolf couldn't believe how many brothers and sisters Kalaziel had. It sounded biologically impossible.

"Mother was nicknamed 'The Goddess Almighty', 'Ashera' and 'The Goddess Of All Creation' yet Dad only gets 'God' and 'God Almighty' for nicknames." Kalaziel couldn't help but chuckle at memories of days gone by, no, eons gone by.

"Anything else you feel comfortable enough to tell me?" It seemed his story had interested his therapist.

"Well, Mother and Dad's marriage started to fall apart and they had begun to bicker constantly. Samael went to a planet our father created and named Earth where the paradise garden known as 'Eden' once was and met the first two humans called Adam and Eve."

"Oh? And did you ever get to meet Adam and Eve?" Doctor Wolf found Kalaziel an interesting patient.

"Eve seduced Lucifer but everyone on Earth these days thinks it was him who seduced her, caused original sin, caused her to eat an apple from the Tree Of Knowledge and gain Self-Awareness, consciousness and Free Will. That made Dad angry and he yelled at Samael. Dad then banished Adam and Eve from Eden claiming they wouldn't be allowed to step foot in the garden of Eden again." He recalled seeing Lucifer spread out his wings and take flight to Eden without any of their siblings knowing.

"What happened next?" The therapist signaled for him to continue.

"Samael started a rebellion and turned one third of our family against our father. Including Azazel and Camael. Nearing the end of the rebellion, or, 'The Fall' as humanity calls it, the angels who once sided with Samael were killed and he was thrown from the gates of Heaven, our home, and was punished harshly. His punishment was to rule Hell, a dark and empty place for souls full of self-hatred and guilt to be tortured by their guilt in a Hell Loop for eternity." Kalaziel remembered the story like it was yesterday. For him it had been many millenia.

"There's something you're not telling me but know that and don't want to tell me. Why is that?" His therapist had managed to see right through part of his facade.

He sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose.

"I sided with Samael in the rebellion. All we wanted was Free Will. The ability to make our own choices. Samael changed his name to Lucifer after the rebellion. He quickly became it's king and has been ruling Hell since. I was punished by having my powers to pause, forward, reverse and rewrite time and history stripped from me. I fell from Heaven and used the last remnants of my powers to create a teleport. I didn't come here of my own violition." He felt ashamed and sorry for fighting against his family. All he wanted was Free Will. Was that so much to ask?

Doctor Wolf looked Kalaziel deep in the eye as he realised it all.

This being in front of him looked young but was old. Oh so old.

"You said your parents were celestial beings, so what does that make you and your siblings?" Doctor Wolf asked curiously.

With a sigh, Kalaziel unfurled his long and majestic white wings.

"I'm an archangel. One of the highest ranked angels in Heaven. Above that are the Seraphim angels Metatron and Sandalphon."

The therapist gasped in shock and awe at the feathery limbs. They were amazing! He knew of how pegasus and alicorn wings worked. He wondered if archangel wings worked the same way.

"I think we have made good progress today. Would you like to come back tomorrow? Or next week?" He wanted to help Kalaziel open up more.

"I'll think about it." With that said, Kalaziel walked out of the room as his wings were caught in the doorway.

With a laugh, he furled his wings back in and walked through the door. Walking outside to a clear opening, he unfurled his wings once more and flew off back to Canterlot Castle at mach speed.
