It's July and it's Scrumptious 22nd birthday where his cousins invited him to a party in Los Unicornia where his cousins are throwing a party but he asked via phone if he could invite a friend which he was allowed.

They closed the door where the lights came on real fast and every pony in the room beside Purple and Scrumptious yelled "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!".

They got to the floor covering there eyes, Purple screaming at the top of his lungs, Scrumptious tackling Purple to keep him safe, and them seeking cover.

Scrumptious's family and the party goers didn't know on what's going on with them and it didn't help that Purple jumped out a window hurting himself where they didn't know on how harsh and ferocious the battles they went through.

One of them is a doctor but he quickly ran to the office and injected them both with a drug that knocked them out but to make his job they were taken to the hospital.

On a bed the 2 gotten up where but they were strapped down to the bed but Scrumptious he whistled and said "Hello Sexy nurses." he said to the few cute nurses in the room.

He found a needle in his frontal left leg which has water going into the leg but he asked a nurse on what happened.

The doctor came in where he had a small portable flashlight and he flashed it into there eyes to see what happened to them at the party where where Purple told them they have PTSD or Post Tramatic Stress Disorter.

During a assault on a outpost they were stationed at the enemy launched flares at the base so there scouts could have a easier time to call down there artillery against the Equestrian artillery guns and bunkers of machine guns.

Doesn't help that the 2 were in a CH-47 "Chinook" styled helicopter well Purple and Scrumptious changed there sexuality for a hour where Purple disliked it and Scrumptious loved it.

Didn't help that a flare landed on Purple and caught him on fire and his friend put him out and some of it was with his urine to put Purple out which his friend was about to kill him for that but a majority of Purple was burned.

After eating 10 scrambled egg sandwiches Purple brushed his teeth he went to go back to go job searching where he found himself outside of a big granite sign which says "MANEHATTAN FIRE DEPARTMENT" and a poster in the window of a mare and stallion pointing saying "WE WANT YOU!".

He took a deep breath and walked in where he asked for an application where a mare gave it too him where he wrote on it and turned it in where she had to search his career track where he worked at a store a antique store then was in the service.

Unlike everypony else the Fire and Police Departments can't discriminate ponies of any reason but he left and a few days later he gotten a phone call and went back where his eyesight isn't bad and his hearing is normal.

While not training on a warm day in the bleachers outside Purple sat between 4 ponies but all the bleachers were packed where the ponies would clap but when Blue Sapphire was called to get her degree no pony clapped but she was sad but heard one pony clap.

When she went back to her seat she seen Purple wave at her but to make it bad he's in his military service dress where after the graduation she asked that he must be pretty brave to wear his service dress.

He told her that he doesn't care on what the haters say but as the 2 shared one long kiss he was spat upon by the graduating ponies but Purple didn't care he only cares on what the missus thinks about him.

He went back to training but she though he was having an affair.

After 15 weeks passed after the 1st 2 of training she went to the fire academy and Purple was telling the truth and he was assigned to Firehouse 17 which is in there neighborhood.

A day later at the front door the day after training Purple and Blue Sapphire kissed where the 2 walked there separate ways but Purple found a brick building that says "FDMN ENGINE CO 17 & LADDER CO 46".

Some of his fellow fire ponies didn't like on how there Probabtionary Firefighter is a soldier but they can't do anything about it they have to work with him but he kept himself distant from them.

He proudly wore the patch of "FDMN" or "Fire Department City of Manehattan" but the following days the other 13 firefighter ponies started to warm up to him and invited him out to grab a couple of beers or so but he politely declined.

He would rather be home with the missus or doing something else but one day at the firehouse Blue stopped by but she asked Purple for bits which he gave her but this is the 1st bad time at the firehouse for her.

Her husband told her that when a pony first goes to an firehouse they should bring food because firefighters eat a lot due to they burn through there energy saving ponies.

She and him kissed and she took a wagon cab back into the city to her office.
