Lost memories

As Rainbow trotted out the doors of the hospital, she felt a cool breeze flow through her mane. She smiled and began trotting off towards the small town of ponyville.

As she walked down the dirt road she began thinking to herself 'I wonder if that doctor was wrong, what if I never get my memory back!? What would happen then!? Who would I be!? Who was I!!?  She was snapped out of her mad ramblings when she heard a voice come from behind her. 'that voice sounds familiar but why? Who is it?'

She turned her head to see a bright yellow pegasus, with a pink mane cheerfully trotting towards her with a large grin plastered on her face. The mare had a small white bunny on her back, which was giving her a death glare for some reason.

"Come now Angel we have to go to the market and buy food for the other animals, I promise If you help me there's a special treat in it for you!"

The bunnies ears perked up and it looked at its owner as she said the last sentence, a mischievous smile on its face. The yellow mare finally took notice of the confused looking pegasus in front of her and smiled. "Oh...hello Rainbow Dash, I didn't see you there."

'Who the heck is Rainbow Dash? Is that me?...nah she must have me mistaken for somepony else, my name would be way cooler than that!' Dash thought to herself, before quickly noticing the mare in front of her, staring at her. She said the first thing that came to her mind.

"Why are you talking to that thing on your back?" Rainbow asked, staring at the pegasus as if she was crazy. "You're acting as if it can understand you."

"W-What do you mean Dash? Of course Angel bunny can understand me, you know talking to animals is my special talent." The butter yellow mare responded, looking at Rainbow curiously.

"Your special talent? What the heck does that mean?" Now Dash was confused 'special talent? what the heck is that? Is this sort of strange land ruled by some crazy pony who tells ponies what to do with thier lives and if they dont listen they get sent to the dungeons! Or banashed!!....i'm thinking waaay too into this....where did all that come from anyway? Wait that strange crazy pony is talking'

"...you helped me get mine, don't you remember Rainbow?" The pink maned mare stood there smiling, seemingly lost in her thoughts.

"Uhhh....sure....what was your name again?" Dash asked, not entirely focused on the situation that she found herself in.

"Rainbow, my name is Fluttershy, you've known me most of your life! We went to school together, we were best friends, you made me feel better whenever somepony bullied me! You were the only pony that c-cared!" Fluttershy said, tears beggining to leak from her eyes, the very thought of Rainbow not knowing her scaring her.

"Fluttershy? That..that name sounds familiar...I just," Rainbow fell onto her rump, holding her bandaged head in her forehooves. Small flashes of memories appeared, bringing a whole range emtions with them; happiness, anger, sadness, regret, only for them to dissapear as quickly as they came leaving behind an empty void. "I just c-can't remember...why can't I remember!?" She all but shouted, a trail of tears making their way down her cheeks.

Fluttershy instantly noticed this and quickly wrapped Rainbow into a hug and gently rubbing her back as they both sobbed.

"Sshh...D-Dash it's going to be ok...e-everything's going to be okay...I hope..."
