Typically, the word 'purebred' is reserved for the wealthy and noble families to show how pure their families were. Granny Smith used that word to describe the Apple family too, despite not remembering why. Applejack needs to know why.
Typically, the word 'purebred' is reserved for only the elite of ponies. The wealthy and noble families used the word to show how pure their families were. It was a word meant for the elites to show off how high class their family was.
Applejack knows all of this and she is still a little unsure as to why Granny Smith keeps using that word to describe their family. Not even Granny Smith can seem to remember why. But thanks to Apple Bloom, Applejack is about to figure out, the hard way.
