Crystal Love (Shining Armor x Thorax)

It's been a few weeks since I've been accepted around the empire. The Crystal ponies are so nice! I was really bummed out Spike had to leave though and wouldn't be back for a while. Cadence was sweet but she seemed way too stressed with the empire to hang out with me. Shining Armor though, He was a lot more fun. He checked on me every few hours to make sure I was staying calm, especially during these past weeks. I began to have these thoughts though, They felt like love I had taken, But I had never taken any before so it didn't make sense. I learned a few days ago from Twilight that I have romantic feelings for Shining!

~~Day 25~~

"Hey Thorax, You awake?" I had heard Shining call from the other side of the door.

I groaned, "Yeah, I'm up Shining. I'll be down soon"

"Okay bud." I heard as hoofsteps faded away.

I rolled out of bed and looked at myself in the mirror and thought,
'Why would he want someone like me? He has a wife for Changling Sake!'

I chuckled at my little exchange in my head as I thought about what I'd do today. Maybe I'd go visit some of the ponies, maybe even see if I could visit Ponyville! That'd be something fun!

"Thorax!" I heard Cadence call out.

"Yeah?" I yelled back.

"I'm leaving for a few hours, Shining is downstairs waiting. Have fun!" Cadence said as she walked away.

"I-Okay" I yelled back.

A day alone with Shining? This can't end well. What if I say something wrong? Do something bad?

I stopped in my step when I realized Shining had been waiting downstairs alone for 5 minutes now. I quickly walked out my room door and made my way downstairs.

I entered the Crystal Hall, Where a giant table was placed for Royalty or Other guests in the castle. I was luckily a guest so I was allowed there. I saw Shining organizing books on one of the shelves.

'Those feelings again, I can't stop them' I thought as I felt my face heat up..

Shining turned around, Seeing me standing in the doorway, "Thorax! Almost scared me bud. Have a seat"

I flew over to a seat next to Shining and started to eat. The food was always amazing, but I couldn't help but keep blushing around Shining.

"Is the food good?" Shining asked, Seemingly wanting to break the silence.

"It's amazing! The food is always amazing, Shining. You don't have to ask me every time we eat" I chuckled.

"I was just extra curious today because I made it. Cadence and our chefs didn't have much time to make breakfast today so I cooked instead. Trying to make sure you're staying fed" Shining said, Seeming very content with my answer.

"Where did Cadence have to go anyways?" I asked.

"She had to run to Ponyville, Something going wrong with Twilight. I think she said it was a sickness. Flu or Cold probably." Shining said, Continuing at his food.

"Oh, I hope she's okay" I said.

"She'll be fine, My Twily never let's sicknesses get to her" Shining said.

I admired his enthusiasm with this type of stuff, Especially with his family. I never had many people around me when I was at the hive. I had my brother, Pharynx, but he always berated me for being "Soft."

"Thorax? You're staring" Shining said, Waving a hoof in front of me.

"Oh Shoot, I'm so sorry!" I said, Covering my face the best I could with my hooves.

"It's Okay bud, You okay?" Shining asked in his sweet and caring voice.

"Yeah Yeah, Just still a bit tired" I lied, I was just trying to get myself to stop blushing like crazy.

"I did hear you last night, You sounded scared. Wanna talk about it?" Shining asked.

"Just more nightmares, Nothing new" I lied again, I had a nightmare that Chrysalis visited and hurt the Crystal Ponies.

"Hm, Okay. Well, You seem finished, you can go and get some rest if you'd like" Shining said, Taking mine and his plates to a nearby sink.

"Sure, I'll be in my room if you need me" I said, Flying towards the door.

"Oh wait, I just remembered that the designers are gonna be here around 3 to look at your room to redesign it. So have it cleaned by then, okay?" Shining said, Rinsing off the plates.

"Okay Thanks, Shining" I said.

"Of Course, Thorax" Shining said back.

I flew up to my room and shut the door once I entered it.

"I almost ruined everything!" I slightly yelled so Shining couldn't hear me.

I always had a staring problem but this was the 6th time it's happened this week alone.

"He must think I'm some weirdo now that likes to look at him!" I said again, but then agreed that I liked to see him.

I looked out my window and looked at the Crystal Ponies surrounding the Heart.

"What am I gonna do? I can't just tell him I feel this way. I can't keep lying either. What should I do?" I asked myself.
