Crystal Love (Shining Armor x Thorax)

"Thorax?" A voice asked behind me.

I turned around quickly and saw Twilight standing there. She seemed to have a lot of scrolls and letters but most of them seemed to be trash.

"Who are you talking about?" Twilight asked, Seemingly invested in what I just said.

"Um..Just a random Crystal Pony. You wouldn't know them." I chuckled, Hoping that it was convincing enough.

"Thorax, I know it's someone different. Is it Spike? You two have seemed really close as of recently." Twilight asked, Setting her bag on my bed.

"no, it's your brother" I mumbled under my breath.

"Couldn't catch that" Twilight said, Raising a hoof to her ear.

"It's...your brother, Twilight." I said, Becoming a blushing mess.

"What?, Oh My goodness, You have a crush on Shining?" Twilight squealed, Still staying quiet though.

"Look Twilight, I know he's married and everything but I can't help but feel this whenever I'm around him or even think about him. Is there anyway for these feelings to.. go away?" I asked, Seemingly putting her into a thinking trance.

It took a few minutes for Twilight to gather her thoughts because she's always been the type to think of every possibility and outcome.

"To be honest Thorax, I don't think there's any safe way to get rid of these feelings you have. Maybe talk them out with Shining? Maybe that'll help!" Twilight suggested.

"What? That's…," I sighed as I thought, "Not a bad idea"

"Great! I'll go see Shining and then I'll come get you to talk about your feelings for him, Okay?" Twilight said, Lifting her bag on her back with her magic.

"Okay" I answered.

Twilight left the room as I started to prance around again. I was terrified of what Shining would say. Would he kick me out? Not be my friend anymore? Would he make me go back to the hive?

I stopped as I looked in the mirror again. Shining wouldn't be that cruel, would he?

~~30 Minutes Later~~

"Thorax? You still awake?" I heard Twilight call from the other side of the door.

"Yeah, I'm coming" I said, Walking to the door and opening it.

I opened it and was greeted not only by Twilight, But Cadence. 'She told her, didn't she?'

"Thorax, I have been informed that you have feelings for my husband. Why is that?" Cadence said in a sweet but rather monotone voice.

"I..I mean, He's sweet, caring, loving, adorable, admirable, cute, He just has this impact on me that causes me to blush like crazy whenever I'm around him" I said, While blushing like crazy.

"I always adore those traits about him as well, and that's why I will allow you and Shining, If he says yes, To go on a few dates and maybe do more than that if they go well. Under one condition though, You never cross his boundaries. Deal?" Cadence said.

"Deal!" I said, Fluttering my wings without even thinking about what she'd just said. I get to date Shining Armor, That's all that mattered.

"Well, I'm pretty sure he will say yes, Especially since Cadence said that she's okay with it." Twilight said, Giving her genuine smile she always gave towards me.

"Well, We two will stay up here, as you go ask. Okay?" Cadence said, Entering my room.

"Okay, Oh yeah. The designers are supposed to be here soon right?" I asked.

"Yup, We'll clean your room for you, You just owe both of us." Twilight said.

"Okay, Thank you Twilight. And, Thank you Cadence for this opportunity" I said, Scratching at my rough skin on my hoof.

"Of course, Thorax. Hope it ends well" Cadence said, Picking up some trash with her magic.

"Me too" I said as I left the room and closed my door.

I headed downstairs as I thought of every possibility that this could end in. Yet I only thought of one where I believe it would be true. He would reject me. Now, That's just me being anxious right? Hopefully.

I arrived at the doors of the Crystal Hall. I was just here about 1 and a half ago and I'm already back. Well, Here go nothing.

I opened the doors, Greeted by a very clean Hall. It's never been this clean though. I noticed Shining slowly pulling something off of a shelf as It seemed really heavy. He pulled it off, but he started tensing up. Without thinking, I used my magic to quickly help him lay it on the ground. Afterwards, He turned around and saw me standing as I had to breathe from lifting that. I had never used my magic like that before.

"Thanks bud, I thought I'd end up dropping it without help but I thought I had it. Do you need something? You never come back to the Hall until lunch" Shining said, In his sweet voice yet again.

"Um..Yeah actually. I do need to ask you something" I said as my blush fest began again.

"What's up?" Shining said, Taking a seat in front of me.

"I...do you want to date?" I said, Much more quietly than expected.

"Pardon?" Shining said.

"Do you want to date?" I partially yelled, Just trying to get it over with.

I noticed Shining starting to turn a slight shade of red. Is he blushing? I started to walk away since I figured that meant no.

"Is Cadence okay with it?" I heard Shining ask.

"Yeah, She is. She said as long as I don't cross your boundaries, she's okay with it" I said enthusiastically.

Shining sighed, "Yeah, Why not? Let's try it and see where it goes. I think I have the perfect idea to start our new relationship" Shining said, Placing a hoof over my back and walking me towards the castle's front doors.

"Remember the Crystal Fair?" Shining asked.

"Oh um.. Yeah I do. Weren't you and Cadence going together this year?" I asked, not wanting him to put me over Cadence.

"Nope, She had to cancel because of her Ponyville trip. She's gonna be leaving again here soon with Twilight. So, are you okay with going?" Shining asked, Stopping and looking at me.

"Uh..Um…Sure" I said.

'C'mon Thorax, Gotta take a breather' I Thought as I took a breath.

"Yes, I wouldn't mind going" I said in a much more calm tone.

"That's the spirit buddy, Let's go" Shining said as we continued towards where the festival would take place tomorrow.

'What could go wrong?'
