Crystal Love (Shining Armor x Thorax)

~~Day 26~~
Shining and I made our way towards the festival early since he wanted us to get in early. We still could've gotten in front of everyone later since he's literally the prince but he wanted the best for me in our new relationship. This was still way too surreal for me but I found him sweet and compassionate so I let him take control of what we did.

"We're here, Thorax!" Shining said as we arrived in front of the gates to the festival.

The festival's area was ten times bigger than when Twilight and her friends saved the empire with it. It was huge now with many more activities for everypony to do.

"Wanna head in?" Shining asked.

"Sure, I just...What will ponies say if they find out we're dating?" I asked back.

"We'll say that we are. Cadence is the Princess of Love, Everypony knows she has a very open mind when it comes to this sort of stuff. Think of it as a poly relationship" Shining said, Clearly attempting to comfort me.

"Um..Okay. I'll try" I said, Giving him a small smile.

"Thorax, I know this is new, Especially for you, But I want you to know that even in a relationship, Just think of it as we're just great friends today, Okay?" Shining said.

My mood changed almost immediately, I always thought romantic relationships meant to act differently around each other. Good thing Shining is my other.

Shining seemed content with my mood change. We continued past the gates after the ticket stand pony let us both through.

~~4 hours later~~
We did a lot of activities before ponies started flooding in. The only activity we skipped was Magic Race.

Magic Race consisted of 4 ponies in their only lanes and they had to use their magic to get to the other side. Only Magic that was banned was teleportation. We skipped because I knew little to no magic so I was bound to lose. When the festival got too crowded, We decided to go home and rest. It had been about 4 hours so we still had a lot of the day left to waste.

"Thorax, Wanna grab some grub? We barely ate at the festival" Shining asked.

"Sure. But afterwards, Can we go home and rest? I'm really tired" I asked.

Having only slept 3 hours last night wasn't a very good idea, Especially with going to the festival. It was fun though, Don't get me wrong, Also being able to be with Shining all day long as romantic partners is a dream come true.

"Of Course, Thorax. I actually have an idea for when you rest" Shining said, Nudging my shoulder.

"Oh Okay! Is it a good idea?" I asked, Confused at what he meant.

"Oh yeah, It's a perfect idea" Shining answered.

I was still confused but didn't bother to ask. All I wanted was some food then some rest. I'll be much happier then.

~~15 minutes later~~

Shining and I arrived at a small food shop next to the castle so it wouldn't be much of a walk after we ate. We walked up to the counter and were almost immediately greeted by bows of everypony working. Shining Waved his hoof, Which I knew indicated that no one had to be professional at this time.

"What may I get you two?" The kind crystal cashier asked.

"How about 2 hayburgers and some crystal fries. That okay Thorax?" Shining asked, Looking down, only to realize I was busy staring at the beautiful aquarium that had a lot of fishes.

Shining seemed to continue as I looked at the fishes. They were really cool and I barely saw them. They even let me name one of them because I was so interested in them. I named them Reae. It seemed like a fitting name for a fish.

I suddenly felt a pair of hooves wrap around me and immediately felt my face heat up. I looked and saw a blue main and white fur. It was Shining.

"Hey, Are you enjoying the fishes?" Shining asked in a rather soothing voice.

"Yeah, But Shining, We're in public. Why can't we do this stuff at home? I don't want people thinking you're cheating" I said.

I like having him around, Especially this close. But in public, It's a different story. He's really sweet and caring, So I don't want him being hated by the whole empire.

"It's fine, and besides, I have other plans for what we're doing at home" Shining said, He still used his soothing voice which made me feel butterflies in my stomach.

"Shining Armor!" The cashier called.

"I'll go grab our food, Wanna eat at home or here?" Shining asked, Letting go of me.

"We can eat at home if you want" I answered.

"Alright, Be right back" Shining said as he walked towards the counter.

I stood for a bit as Shining got our food. Whenever he was so close to me, I felt like this is something that could go forever but I don't know if it can. I wonder if Shining wants this to last.

"C'mon Thorax" Shining called.

I Immediately pranced over to Shining and he put his hoof over my back before we left. I may ask Cadence what the "Hoof over the Back" Gesture is. I don't know. All I know right now is Rest and Eating.

Shortly after leaving, We arrived at the Castle. We both knew that, Besides guards, We were alone. Cadence and Twilight were in Ponyville so it was just us. As we walked, I realized we walked past the Crystal Hall.

"Shining, We walked past the hall. Where are we eating?" I asked.

"My Room. Well, Mine and Cadences. Since she's not home, I figured it'd be a change to be in there with someone else" Shining said.

"What?" I yelled, Leaving Shining's grasp.

"What's wrong?" Shining asked.

"I...I can't go into yours and Cadence's Room. Isn't that like an invasion of privacy?" I ranted.

"Thorax, Calm down. As long as one of us allows someone in there, They're allowed. That's why it's okay for you to be in there. Also, You're my boyfriend so it makes sense" Shining responded.

"Oh. Sorry about my rant. I just didn't want to betray yours or Cadence's trust" I said.

"It's okay, Thorax. So, are you still okay with our room?" Shining asked.

"Yeah, I am. I'm just wondering what you want to do after we eat" I asked.

"Oh, You'll see" Shining said, Giving me a wink.

I didn't even answer before we continued towards his room. I was blushing heavily the entire rest of the walk there.

We arrived in front of the doors of his and Cadence's room. He opened them with a specific lock number and the doors swung open.

It was beautifully decorated. It had two sides to it. A pink side and a blue side. My guess was Pink was Cadence's and Blue was Shining's.

"I feel like Cadence went a bit overboard with decorations, but I didn't say anything because I didn't want to make her mad" Shining shrugged.

"Now, We eat?" I asked.

"I want to do something first, Get on the bed" Shining seemingly demanded.

"Perfect"
