The ponies were going from one place to another, stopping at the stalls for food, clothes or any kind of thing, Twilight was walking slowly, she was not in a hurry like the other ponies, although she tried to go unnoticed and not make conversation, it was not easy With all the ponies looking at her when she walked, some greeted her and others turned away, it could be said that Twilight was the stranger in town, it didn't affect her much.

A while later she arrived at her first destination, the post office, if she was lucky her book would have arrived last night, if not, she should wait to the next day, she did not think about it anymore and entered, although when entering and closing the door, when she turned around, she collided with a pony falling flank to the ground, along with the sound of some boxes and the collision of another flank by the other pony, when she opened her eyes she saw her best acquaintance, so to speak, Applejack.

“Twilight !!, I'm so sorry, I didn't see you sugarcube”said the mare getting up.

Applejack was a mare one year older than Twilight, her coat was a light brown color with a white line from her snout in the middle of her eyes, the fur near her hooves was degrading from light brown to a plain white, her hooves were a little dark brown, her eyes were emerald green, her mane was pale blond, almost white, her cutie mark was an apple cut in half, her center was a heart with three apple seeds stacked like a peacock's tail, the heart was surrounded by a thick layer of red, while it had green stems on both the top and bottom, some all filled with green while others were empty.

Applejack approached Twilight and extended her helmet to help her up, Twilight hesitated for a second before taking Applejack's helmet and standing up.

"Yeah... It's alright" Twilight said, then looked at the fallen boxes and asked, "What are the boxes for?"

"Well, as I know about the family reunion, I wanted to have some things ready, they are still missing, but I'll get those in the market" Applejack replied happily."And you? I usually only see you in the library"

"I came for a book I ordered a few days ago" Twilight said, "although I still don't know if it has arrived"

"You know what the mail pony is like" Applejack mentioned, starting to pick up the boxes and leave them on her back so as not to collide with some other pony "it's unpredictable"

"Yeah, well, it was nice to see you" Twilight said trying to make a smile, "but I have to go, I'll come for the book later"

"You could at least" Applejack said before being interrupted by the crash of the door closing "help me"

help her? I have more important things to do thought Twilight as she walked away from the mail station, she would go first for food and then she would return for the book.

As she walked towards the food stalls she noticed that the sky was getting a bit cloudy, like last night, Twilight hoped there wasn't another storm as strong as last night. the pony who wasn't exactly to Twilight's liking.

"Twilight, nice to see you" Rose Alley greeted when she saw that the mare was heading towards her "what are you going to want?"

Rose Alley was a pony with white fur, she had a bright red mane tied in a ponytail, her hooves were bright red, her cutie mark was a bouquet of roses wrapped in a golden ribbon, her attitude so cheerful sometimes she managed to annoy Twilight more than necessary.

"Rose ... Your sister isn't supposed to be in charge of this position" Twilight said curtly.

"Supposedly" Rose replied happily "but she got equine fever, so I'm supplanting her, I'm sure she'll be like new tomorrow"

"Okay, just give me about four carrots, five potatoes and about four oranges" Twilght said bluntly.

"Sure" Rose answered to take the fruits and vegetables that Twilight chose and put them, when she finished she turned to Twilight "it would be fifty-five bits"

"What!? But that's not what it would cost, carrots cost two bits, potatoes one and oranges two, in total it would be 21 bits"

"Generally yes, but with today's taxes, oranges and carrots would cost five while potatoes would cost three, my sister is kind but very naive when it comes to taxes" Rose said with a somewhat malicious smile"are you going to buy or not? You don't want to leave my sister without her precious position for which she work so hard, do you, Twilight?"

Twilight with a look of anger and annoyance gave her the bits to go away with her purchase, while Rose kept looking at her with a smile. someday, I'm going to get revenge [/ i] thought Twilight as she walked away, It was fuming that I didn't notice the three foals whispering among themselves.

"How rare is it, don't you think?" asked the shorter one who was blue.

"You don't have to say them, she hardly ever leaves her home, what if she's an ogre?" said the yellow colt.

"Don't say nonsense, ogres don't exist, although from what you see, it could be a monster from the forest" said the red colt.

Twilight was distracted at times, but not deaf, she knew the town whispered, did it bother her a bit? Of course, but she kept it for herself, the best thing she could do at that time was to go for her other purchases and get home, at that point all she wanted was to rest, tomorrow she would go for the book, after all, It's not like someone else is going to claim it.

Although as Twilight discovered later, there was still a long way to go before that day was over, and it was becoming more and more obvious with the purple rays in the distance, slowly approaching the town, apparently the storm was more than just a storm.

Author's Note

Well, I liked how it looked, I imagined the meeting of Twilight and Applejack for days, I wanted to make it uncomfortable for Twilight, I honestly do not know if I will succeed.

The next chapter will be when the problems come and I want to introduce Applejack a little better, I am deciding between leaving the original Apple family or adding others, I think the most fair thing would be to put the originals but also new ones.
