Previous ChapterNext Chapter

On the morning of the same day, hours before Applejack met Twilight

The sun was rising brightly over the hill plains, slowly lighting up the "Sweet Apple Acres" farm, all the apples seemed to glow.

Applejack found herself lying placidly on her bed, sleeping without any concern, of course a pony does not call work, work calls the pony, therefore, she did not have much more time to rest, since a few minutes later the rooster crowed loudly , waking up the Apple family in the process.

“What, what, what happened?”Applejack said as she got up quickly and then tripped and fell“I really have to get an alarm clock”

“What are you doing lying on the floor, without lounging around, to have breakfast”Granny Smith scold from the door for then go walking.

“You heard Granny AJ get up”Appletrick said jogging down the hall.

Appletrick was one of Applejack's many cousins, he came from the apple farm in the city of Halfsinton in the north of the country, his coat was light yellow with his chestnut hair combed back, his hooves were light brown as well that his eyes and cutie mark was a green apple with a pile of bits.

“Don't call me AJ”whispered Applejack irritated and then proceed to get up, she was just waking up and her morning did not start in the best way.

Applejack hurried downstairs to sit down after tied her hair with a red garter, when she arrived she saw Big Mac cooking pancakes, while Granny Smith and Appletrick were at the table waiting for breakfast.

“and Applebloom?”Applejack asked, sitting down.

"I let her sleep a little longer, after all, it's summer, she has to relax," answered Granny Smith calmly.

"And me if you hurry me," said Applejack with a face with few friends.

“Of course I do”said Granny Smith as if it were something obvious“you are already an adult mare, you have responsibilities”

“Yes”said Big Mac while serving the pancakes

“Did you hear AJ? You have responsibilities”said Appletrick in a mocking tone

"Changing the subject a bit," said Applejack, trying to ignore his cousin, "since the family reunion is coming up, I ordered some things by mail, to be prepared, you know, most likely they have already arrived."

“Applejack, the family reunion is a month away”said granny a little surprised

“it was just a few things, you know, like tablecloths, needles, threads, fabrics, cooking machines, that are for you and the great aunts, then there are the instruments and the frames for the photos”

As Applejack kept talking about what she ordered, the other three members in the dining room rolled their eyes.

Applejack was walking calmly through the streets of the town, with a stop in mind, the mail station, when she arrived, she opened the door and entered.

“Dahlia? Are you here? I wanted to see if the orders I ordered arrived”said Applejack, approaching the counter.

“Wait a second, I'm with something back here”Dalia said from the back, to then hear something breaking.

Seconds later Dalia came out and stopped in front of Applejack. Dalia was a pony with light gray fur, with a lavender mane tied in a ponytail, her hooves were silver, her eyes were light blue, and her cutie mark was a letter with a red stamp.

"Well, that vase was going to break one way or another" Dalia said as she looked back and then turned to see Applejack "now, what did you tell me?"

“I was asking if the orders I ordered have arrived”repeated Applejack

“Let me check”said Dalia taking out a list and looking at the names“Apple, Apple, Apple ... Aja, here it is, i arrive this morning, let me go for it”

“Thank you very much Dalia”said Applejack with a smile

"There's no reason, after all it's my job" Dalia said as she lost herself in the rows of letters and boxes.

Minutes later Dalia returned with two carts full of boxes, which made Applejack worry.

I must have brought the cart or Big Mac thought Applejack looking puzzled at the boxes“I can't take the carts and then return them, can I?”Ask Applejack hopeful

"I'm afraid not, the rules are strict, nothing comes out of here unless it's mail" Dalia replied, taking Applejack's least hope away.

“Okay, nothing I can't take”Applejack said to herself “it's okay, then I'll carry it” she said to Dalia

“Are you sure? This seems to weigh a lot”said Dalia looking at the carts with the boxes

“What choice I have”said Applejack to start taking out the boxes and put them on her back and others with her right helmet, it could be say that she had a tower of boxes on her back“thanks Dalia, see you soon”said walking towards the door .

“See you later”said Dalia to go back to the back

As Applejack walked towards the door, it was abruptly opened as a pony entered and collided with Applejack in the process, causing Applejack to fall and with that, the boxes were scattered on the floor.

When Applejack opened her eyes she saw that she had bumped into none other than Twilight Sparkle, the town librarian.

--------- ~~ * ~~ ---------

"You could at least"Applejack said without finishing her sentence due to the knock on the door"Help me"

Applejack began to collect the other boxes until she finished with the pile from before on her back, and then left the station slowly and carefully, luckily she was able to leave without any problem, although the problem now It was how she would get to the farm without them falling over?

An hour later

At Sweet Apple Acres, Granny Smith was sleeping in her rocking chair inside the house, when suddenly the door slammed open causing her to wake up abruptly.

"Come on"Applejack said wearily, her hair was messy and she could barely stand and it looked like she was melting in the sun.

“Where have you been all this time”said Granny Smith looking at the clock“it's almost time for lunch”

“I ... mail ... boxes ... many ...”said Applejack and then collapsed on the ground and scattered the boxes around her

“Did you bring all those boxes on foot?”asked granny so then Applejack would nod

"Don't take the wagon"Applejack said from the ground.

“And it did not occur to you to leave the boxes there and come by the wagon? ”Asked granny with a raised eyebrow

Hearing this, Applejack gave a tic in her right eye and then slammed her face aganist the wooden flor of the entrance and let out a gasp.

Although, to be honest, this is the least problem that Applejack would have throughout the day.
