Hey there, I actually came up with the whole "magic disappearing" concept back in 2020. Lol.

Season 1 episode 1: Just Another Princess Story

The Mane 5 found themselves inside the throne room of a castle that was supposed to be ruined in real-time. The ceiling was lower than the room inside the tungsten castle, and an odd water fountain surrounded the two thrones. Everyone wondered why the stained glass on the walls failed to display anything in particular. Just then a certain rainbow-maned alicorn entered the room and yawned. Zipp Storm and the rest of the group could not believe that her cutie mark matched Rainbow Dash’s.

The princess twins remembered how the legends they were told as fillies left many plot holes and unanswered questions, even with all the resources available to them. The friends wondered if they had traveled through time or if this was just an elaborate vision. An aroma that resembled blueberry donuts invaded their nostrils, and they could feel cold air seeping through the roof. An alicorn filly with light pink fur, shaved black hair and crimson eyes burst through the room. Was this the author of the notebook?

“I told you to bring everyone,” said the magenta-eyed Queen exasperated.

“Celestia could be spewing bullsh*t in order to scheme something in our absence for all we know. None of us have time for this, even Applebloom was asked to show up at Manehattan tonight.” snapped the princess.

Applebloom? Sunny saw this as proof that the Cutie Mark Crusaders played a larger role in the past, just as she always suspected.

“All of that can wait Pinkpoint, she has nothing to gain from making this up. Don't make things any harder than they have to be”

The young alicorn snorted and flew off. The world faded to black once more, but now the group could see that the monarchs were now accompanied by the Cutie Mark Crusaders and Pinkie Pie at the brink of the Everfree Forest. Nina was right about Scootaloo having been a colt instead of a filly. The young stallion's name was ScooterFlame. The group put their misinterpreted legend theories aside in favor of just “watching the show”.

The Mane 6 seemed to enter the Forest without any hesitation or fear. Pinkpoint used her horn to illuminate everyone’s view, but half an hour later, the white light started to flicker.

“Rainbow!”

“About that…I uh, used up too much energy with that spell in the morning” admitted the queen.

Sweetie Belle hoof palmed her face and attempted to use her own magic. The pastel green light was unfortunately overbearing and much worse than the headlights of modern vehicles, however.

“It burns!” yelled Applebloom who covered her eyes alongside the rest of the mane 6. The mane 5 seemed to be protected from the glare which was a great perk of this vision.

Sweetie Belle sighed and put it out. The mane 6 walked with caution and Pinkpoint muttered about how disgusting spiders and sharp-toothed squirrels were. AppleBloom then let out a blood-curdling scream which made everyone’s fur jump from their back. The rest of the Mane 6 stopped to see what was wrong with her.

Sweetie Belle gasped when she got closer and noticed a circular metal animal trap on her left hoof, and red liquid ran down, staining some of her fur, and the ground beneath it. The young unicorn’s horn lit up once more but this time, it expelled a green swirl that surrounded her friend's leg. Within moments, the trap opened by itself, but the glowing light remained on Applebloom for about a minute. Her leg fur remained dirty, but she was no longer in pain.

The earth pony took a deep breath and smiled. Everyone continued the journey.

“What are they even looking for?” Wondered Sunny out loud. “The legend said that Twilight had to search for the elements of harmony with her friends, but that was because of Nightmare Moon.”

“Yeah, I know right? And why is this memory making it seem like Celestia never went missing, but was more so of a nuisance to these apparent royals instead?” Added Izzy

As Hitch paid attention to ScooterFlame, the stallion couldn’t help but notice that the young colt reminded him of how he was in his younger days. But Scooter appeared to be more stressed and on guard. As more time passed it became apparent that the colt was actually able to manipulate matter. Scooter froze a portion of a lake at one point, and Applebloom got the chance to show off as well. A Tiger attempted to attack the Mane Six, but before it could get close, she actually “altered reality” to create the illusion of hail and indistinguishable noises by just raising an arm!

The feline growled before ultimately walking away. Finally, the Mane 6 became famished at one point, so Pinkie Pie pulled out a ruby from her purse and placed a towel on the grass. The mane 5 was puzzled about why this was until she placed her hoof on it and muttered something under her breath. Light enveloped the gem, and 21 hay burgers appeared out of nowhere. The bubble gum-furred mare actually started to yawn and close her eyes before pushing the food aside and resting on the blanket.

After about 10 minutes, Pinkie regained her energy and wolfed down six burgers. She was a witch! realized Izzy Moonglow in shock. How did she never think of that before? The unicorn couldn’t wait to see what else was in store for the rest of the gang of six. Other than that, the events leading up to finding the castle of the two sisters were actually more anti-climatic than mane 5 thought they would be.

The world would still fade out pretty often when there was nothing interesting to see. It wasn't like watching a movie. There wasn't a single “scene” that felt overly staged, rushed, or added in for just for the h*ll of it. The castle was eventually encountered. The place had an eerie feel to it, but the view was beautiful. Instead of seeing large dull stones that ripped off Dragon Ball Z, the group found something else.

There were six titanium pillars with a bowel-shaped design on the top of each. They stood in a row in order to block the front entrance. Rainbow Dash tried to fly over them, but she was unable to enter the castle due to some invisible force in the way. The Mane 6 became frustrated until Pinkpoint grew silent and sniffed the air.

“Why does something smell like an apple orchard? The odor is way too potent, but we’re not anywhere near…wait”

Applebloom blinked in confusion as did everyone else. Pinkpoint carefully examined the area behind the pillars before finding…a glossy red fruit? The princess proceeded to place the apple on top of the first pillar. It disappeared for a minute alongside the rest of the pillars. Everyone ran inside the castle.

“Coool!” gushed Zipp Storm.

Inside of the former residence was a bare throne room with the exception of a thick book. Rainbow Dash opened it to discover that it was ancient and had over 1000 pages according to the table of contents. It also said that there were exactly six chapters but that it was under a spell. Only one chapter could be read at this time since the first item that unlocked the castle was found. The queen began to read aloud while the rest of the group huddled.

Once upon a time, there was a royal family that ruled Equestria with love, empathy, and honor. King Ahasuerus had a headstrong wife named Leila, and two young children. His oldest was a kind, but intense filly named Princess Ingrid. Her hair was as dark as coal, and her fur was as light as snow. Ingrid always wore a red ribbon on her head, and her crystal blue eyes made it almost impossible to ignore her. Everyone liked to call her Snow White.

The family’s youngest was a one-year-old colt named Ezra. He had golden eyes, lavender fur, and a white mane. The colt was a lighthearted, talkative soul that didn’t have a care in the world until…The queen passed away. Her body was found partially burned in the dragon lands, but to this day, no one knows if it was an accident or a murder. The King mourned for a very long time until princess Aurora of the crystal empire turned 17 and was now willing to marry him. She was insecure and immature, but Aurora pitied her young stepchildren since she knew what it felt like to lose a loved one.

The mare had very light blue fur, a pink and purple mane, and bright green eyes. One day, a maid found the king hanging from something in the washroom. No one knows why he died either. Aurora ended up getting married to none other than Prince Skylar from the kingdom in Cloudsdale. He had magenta eyes, a rainbow mane, and pastel yellow fur.

He was the youngest child of King Cosmos the second. Cosmos Jr. was the firstborn Of King Cosmos the first and Queen Tara. They had two daughters after him whom they named Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. Prince Skylar had an older brother named Prince Cosmos the third, but it was discovered that the firstborn of Cosmos Jr. was a homosexual. The prince was disinherited from being able to rule as a result. Queen Aurora and King Skylar got married when Ingrid was 10 and Ezra was 2.

The queen fell in love with him quickly, and even Ezra got along with him. Ingrid did not know how to feel about this, but she focused on dreaming about how her life would be as a queen. Skylar and Aurora were not able to produce any offspring due to the Queen being infertile. The princess couldn’t wait to find her soulmate someday and rule the land just like how her parents once did. The poor soul had no idea what was in store.

Aurora was drawn to her husband's confidence, attractiveness, and quick decision-making. Skylar had quite the ego, but with him, it was always a “yes” or “no” but never “maybe”. After several months, it became clear that the King was very manipulative of his wife, and he decided to rule Equestria with a cold iron hoof. Aurora ended up feeling jealousy towards Princess Ingrid as a few years passed. She would make attempts to send the princess away to another kingdom, but they were always unsuccessful.

Something horrible happened on princess “Snow White"s 14th birthday. But before I cover that in the next chapter, I must say that If you are reading this, you are one of the chosen. For a while, Ingrid ended up becoming a bitter young mare with too much anger and hatred. She was one day able to love again, but not before she put a powerful curse on Equestria. One day, the princess will be reincarnated along with six other souls that played a major role in her life.

They might resemble their counterparts in some ways, but it’ll be up to them to determine their own destiny. When 7000 years pass from this date, any magic and supernatural abilities will cease to be utilized among anyone with the exception of the chosen.

Both the Mane 6 and Mane 5 were silent for a moment. Is this what really happened to the unicorns or was it something else?? Thought Sunny in utter shock. Rainbow Dash tried to see if she could read the second chapter but it was mostly blank except for some silly riddle in purple glowing letters.

The truth will come to light once you find the butterfly. It will be at night when the soul and time are right.
