It was the finale of the final Mortal Kombat tournament. Liu Kang had beaten Shao Kahn and embraced his role as the chosen one. He stood with allies that had aided him in protecting the safety of Earthrealm from Outworld's champions.

These heroes that stood consisted of Jax, Sonya, Johnny Cage, Liu Kang, Sub-Zero and Scorpion (Who didn't partake in the tournament as they had dealt with stopping an mad god named Shinnok)

As the heroes celebrated, another portal appeared in front of them.

"What the hell?" Jax said in confusion

"Another portal? But how? We won the tournament right?" Cage said

"You have bested Shao Kahn, but another realm needs 2 others to protect it."

"Protection from what?" Sonya asked

"...THEM...."

The portal began to suck in some of the heroes who managed to hold on. As he portal sucked more, Scorpion had been sucked inside. Sub-Zero tried to help him, but the portal had sucked him inside as well.

"SCORPION! SUB-ZERO!" The Earthrealmers said at two of their allies being sucked in.

The two had began to fall into a dark abyss.

"What is this?!" Sub-Zero said as he was falling

"I don't know! But it looks like we are those 2 the portal asked for!" Scorpion replied

They continued falling as the portal had began to open another entrance to an unknown area.

As soon as they fell into the ripped entrance, their vision was engulfed by a white light.

Sub-Zero and Scorpion were running to get the Kamidogu to stop Shinnok and save the realms, but Sub-Zero formed an ice knife and tried to kill Scorpion. However he was stopped and Scorpion disarmed him and held him down.

"Listen, there's no time for this! That's the Kamidogu, if they get that all the realms are doomed. Your thirst for vengeance will disappear along with all of reality!" Scorpion said pointing to the artifact

"Your lying!" Sub-Zero refuted in disbelief

"I'm not." Scorpion insisted.

"I DONT CARE!" Sub-Zero responded, until Scorpion held his head up with the ice dagger

"Yes you do!, that's what makes you different, that's what makes you better. I know the desire of revenge. It's a sickness that eats your soul until you become a monster of regret and pain!"

Scorpion let the young cryomancer stand and held the dagger out saying in remorse

"I deserve to die, and it would be fitting if you did it. But promise me, you will take the Kamidogu and keep it from those monstrosities."

Sub-Zero took the dagger and gave a glare and his brother's killer who only said in a simple tone

"Do it."

Kuai Liang yelled and cried as he readied a blow to his brother's murderer, with the ice dagger, he plunged it at Scorpion, until the scene went dark.

Sub-Zero had began to slowly awaken and opened his eyes. He slowly got up and said

"What happened?"

He looked around and saw that he was in a forest

"Scorpion?!" Sub-Zero called out

The cryomancer's yell had echoed throughout the forest and there was no response. Sub-Zero only looked around before walking around the pathway down the forest. As he walked down, he heard a rumble from a nearby bush.

"Who's There?!" Sub-Zero shouted alarmed

There was another rumble and out came a unicorn stallion with golden yellow and black armor with two swords on his back

"Who are you?" Sub-Zero questioned

"Scorpion." The stallion replied

"Scorpion? What happened to you?" Sub-Zero asked

"I do not know. But I can ask the same of you Sub-Zero." Scorpion replied

Sub-Zero raised an confused eyebrow and looked at his hands, or in this case hooves.

"My hands! What happened to my hands?!" Sub-Zero said

Scorpion looked at his own and saw he had hooves as well, giving a look of surprise. As they looked at their predicaments, they only looked at each other and around the forest

"How do we get out of here?" Sub-Zero asked

"Let's look for some pathways, I'll take the right, you go left." Scorpion said

The two split and looked for an exit, so far neither of them had luck as Scorpion even teleported a few times in the air, but found no exit. After a few minutes, they managed to regroup and saw a pathway free of trees.

"Look! An exit!" Scorpion said

Sub-Zero looked and followed his half ally half enemy heading to the pathway. As soon as they exited, they saw an shocking sight.

In front of them was an village with pastel coloured equines, each with a mark on their flanks. The two only gave looks of shock at the sight in front of them. As they walked out the forest, they entered the village.

Some of the ponies noticed the Lin Kuei and Shirai Ryu entering and gave looks at them as they walked around.

"Whoa, who are those two?" A colt said

"They have cool costumes!" An filly said

"I wonder why they have masks on?" One stallion said

"Whoever they are, they look pretty handsome." One mare said with an flirty smile

The looks Sub-Zero and Scorpion got only left them both uncomfortable as they walked around getting looks of interest of flirt from some of the mares and stallions. As they walked, Scorpion saw his reflection at an nearby shop window and said to Sub-Zero.

"Umm, Sub-Zero?"

"What?" Sub-Zero responded

Scorpion pointed at the window and they saw their reflections. Scorpion was a yellow coated unicorn stallion with with his signature golden armor and weapons while Sub Zero was a dark blue unicorn stallion with his signature blue outfit. Both looked at each other in surprise at their forms.

As they looked, an pink mare with 3 balloons on her flank noticed them and went over to them.

Sub-Zero looked at her and was about the speak, but the pink mare cut him off.

"GASP! OMYGOSHWHOAREYOUTWOI'VENEVERSEENPONIESLIKEYOUTWOBEFOREANDTHOSEARECOOLCOSTUMESAREYOUNINJASANDTHATMEANSIHAVETOTHROWYOUAPARTYAND-" The pink pony kept talking, until Sub-Zero cut her off by putting his hoof in her mouth

Sub-Zero gave a look of annoyance and said "Can you please calm down young one?"

Pinkie nodded and Sub-Zero let her speak. The pink mare only said in a giddy tone

"Oh right, you don't know my name. It's Pinkie Pie! Who are you two?"

"I am Sub-Zero."

"Scorpion."

"You two are new ponies in Ponyville! That means I need to throw you a party!" Pinkie said in a happy voice

"No." Both said in synch

"What? Why not?" Pinkie Pie said confused

"As much as your offer seems tempting, I am not one to socialize." Sub-Zero said

"I don't have time to do a party or be social either." Scorpion added.

"But that's no reason to not have a party!" Pinkie said in refusal.

"No." They said in annoyance, until Pinkie did a face that made them both hesitate and sweat.

Pinkie gave a puppy dog eyed face that made them both wince a little. Scorpion as it reminded him of Satoshi when he was human along with his family while Sub-Zero remembered when he used to do it with Bi-Han or his other clan members.

"Ok Ok!" Scorpion said with a look of defeat and hesitance.

"YAY!" Pinkie said before rushing off in a pink speedy flash, leaving them confused.

"Should we pretend that happened?" Scorpion asked

"What happened?" Sub-Zero replied

"Exactly."
