Chapter OneView OnlineRace Against TimeChapter OneChapter 1 “Lunar!” my mom calls, “Get your stuff ready for school!” You see, my dad died when I was just three. I never really got to do anything though because he was always working at Cloudsdale. By the time he came home, I would already be in bed. So I prayed for the end of school. Not only for summer, but so that my dad could come home. But anyways, he died on his way to work one morning. He was flying just fine, but then a group of delinquents startled him and his wings locked up, about 500 feet in the air. He was unable to regain himself, and was dead upon impact. So now I am six and I only have my mother and older brother as a family. I just wish I had gotten to spend more time with my dad. I go to the local school here in Ponyville. I’ve never left except to go to Canterlot with my dad on official business, or to go to the Everfree Forest for a good walk. I am the only one in my class without a cutie mark, but I will change that eventually. My best friend, Fisher, has had his cutie mark since he was four. He is a Unicorn pony and used his magic to free his little brother from a fissure that appeared under him, and he got his cutie mark. His special talent is pony rescue. I am a Pegasus pony, and am currently working on my flying. I can go pretty far, but not too high. With the help of Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, I will become the best flier in all of Equestria, maybe even join the Wonderbolts like Rainbow Dash. For now I will stick to the basics. -----------------------------------------15 years later-------------------------------------------------- Things for Lunar Divide have been going well, but he decides to take it a step further. He thinks he has what it takes to be the official watch over the night. So he makes the journey to Canterlot. After the long, long time it took him to get there, he decides to find a place to stay for the night. Being a friend of Twilight, he got her to ask Shining Armor if I could stay with him a Cadance for a few days until he got it settled. So after the moon had set and the sun had come out, Lunar set out for the royal castle to talk with Celestia and Luna. So as he came to the guards, he showed them the royal pardon he had obtained from Shining Armor, and went inside. He walked straight to the royal study where Luna and Celestia were talking. “Greetings your majesty.” Lunar said as he entered the room. “And you must be Lunar. Hello, I am Princess Celestia,” said the goddess of the sun, “And I am Luna. I have heard that you would like to try to take my job. Why do you wish this?” The blue Alicorn asked him. “Because I have always been fascinated with the night. Also, I think this will give me my cutie mark, given I have not obtained it.” This intrigued the Luna. “Well then, I know what to do. You come from Ponyville, right?” She asked. “Yes.” Lunar replied. “Well then, you can work on the night watch there. You will be the first in over 50 years to be one. But just one thing, only Alicorns have done this. So allow me to use my magic to help you out.” As Luna aimed her horn at him it began to glow, causing his body to be lifted in to the air. He was then wrapped up by a curtain of magic. After 5 minutes of this he was finally released, as an Alicorn. After a short talk with Luna, he learned about the magic he now held. As he returned to Ponyville later that day, he announced what had happened. Everyone in the town was happy for him, especially his wife, Scootaloo. As the night approached he went to the perch at the top of the town hall. As the moon was raised high in the sky, he could feel a sudden tingle in his hips. He looked backed and noticed that he now had his cutie mark. “Finally! After 21 years of searching, I finally got my cutie mark!” He obtained what his heart desired most that night. Finally feeling at home, he continued to protect Ponyville from the night. But this job wasn’t all as easy as it seemed, because there are good and bad days. It just so happens that one of the bad days occurred during one of his night shifts. A dragon had awakened from slumber just outside of Ponyville. Since it was his job, Lunar had to take care of it. Using his magical horn given to him by Luna back at the Canterlot royal castle, he soothed the dragon to sleep. He then used his wings to fly it far, far away from Ponyville. But during the journey, he noticed that the dragon awoke once again. He was mid flight though, so he knew he would have stop in the near by forest. It turned out that the dragon didn’t much like flying. So Lunar knew he was going to have an even harder time trying to get the dragon there on hoof, but he would have to as not to harm himself. So using his mystical spell to lift the dragon up he began his long journey to find a suitable cave for this certain dragon. After fifteen long hours, he finally made it to a cave but realized, dragons can’t have a cave without a hoard. He had learned this from Twilight’s number one assistant Spike. Given he was a dragon, he knew quite a lot about them. So Lunar and the dragon set out once more to find some gems, gold, and other riches. Not long after the sun had come up, and was now beaming down with it’s bright light. After about another three hours of searching, he finally found a cave, unoccupied, and began to harvest the minerals and gems. He snuck a few into his saddle bag so that he could give them to Rarity. After he had gotten the dragon settled in, he could finally rest. Such work was hard, but he loved his job. And from then on out, Lunar Divide became a legend among Ponyville residents. They now know him as, “The Crimson Tide that protects our fair town.” With such loving people, why would he want to leave?
Chapter 2View OnlineRace Against TimeChapter 2Race Runner “With only 30 seconds left on the clock, Flareshock makes it past the halfway mark! But look! Thundermark is just inches behind! This is going to be a close one!” The announcers boomed over the sound system. All Flareshock had to do was flash past the cloud poles and then cross the finish line before his opponent. “I can do this!” He thought to himself. “5! 4! 3! 2! 1!” The announcers roared louder than Flare could think. As he crossed the finish, he noticed that his race rival had clipped one of the poles with his wing. Because of that, he went tumbling to the side. “And this years Rainbow Alley victor is Flareshock!” Flare felt so amazing, that he was almost blushing. “Do you have anything that you would like to say?” The main who had kept the crowd updated asked. “I would like to thank Nightlight, my flight teacher, for helping become one of the greatest fliers in Equestria. I can’t wait to see the look on his face when I show him the trophy to prove it!” Flare gloated happily. “No one else that I know would like to know more than him.” With that the cameras cut off and Flareshock was off the television systems all across Equestria. 3 years after the Rainbow Alley competition that Flareshock won, he kind of just settled down in his house in the sky. With his wife, Butterball, it was peaceful. Sometimes he took leisurely strolls through Ponyville, other times he would visit his friends such as Fluttershy or Rarity. Sometimes, he even visited the library to see Twilight. But he was mostly just racing around with Rainbow Dash or watching the sunset with Butterball. Life was all fine for him. Until that one fateful day. “Uh, why has my head hurt so much lately?” Butterball didn’t normally complain about her headaches, but these were different. “Maybe your on your period honey. I don’t honestly know to much, but your head normally hurts during that time of the month.” Flareshock replied in a nonchalant tone. “There is just one problem with that, it’s not that time of year.” For some reason, Flareshock’s stomach knotted up. After several hours of consideration, they decided that they should try the pregnancy test. It was quite late when they returned from the pharmacy, and she was anxious to try it. It took 30 more minutes but she finally returned from the restroom. “I took the test honey. It’s positive.” That’s what had been making the knot in his stomach, and now Butterball knew about it. “Well, looks like I’m going to be a mother, and you’re going to be a father.” With that Flareshock brightened up a little bit. Since he had always wanted a son to look up to him. But he didn’t know just yet if it was a boy. Between him and his wife, there was a lot of tension at first. What with all the talk of babies, but it got better after awhile. After about 8 months of this, you could tell the Butterball was pregnant. Since he was a part of weather patrol, Flareshock had to be out of the house a lot. He was caught up with work one night, and that’s when Butterball went into labor. It took 3 hours to get the storm ready. He finally got done with the job, when he received the call. He rushed as fast as he could to get to the clinic where Butterball was. When he arrived he got to meet his beautiful baby girl. He thought about it and said, “I think we should name her Peaches.” After hearing this, Butterball nodded in agreement. So it was official, they had a baby girl named Peaches. And today she is a sterling little filly. But one day, just as quick as you could say Princess Celestia, Flareshock had died. It was a terrible event, taking place just 4 years after his little girl was born. He had been in a race that even included the most legendary flier in Equestria, Rainbow Dash. He had been selected along with 5 other Pegasi to participate for the Rainbow wing, an incredible prize that was a part of a rainbow colored Alicorn’s mane. It was placed inside a glass container and was being given away as the prize. The other part of the prize, a new home above the cloud line. What happened next will be remembered forever. After the beginning gun had been fired, Flareshock took off as fast as he could. When he did, the wind caught him and slammed Flareshock hard into the clouds, and he died on impact.
Chapter 3View OnlineRace Against TimeChapter 3Force To Be Reckoned With Some would think that losing such an important figure in their life would be terrible. This is not true for Peaches. Being only 4, she had already made such significant changes from when she was just a filly. Because, she was forced to grow up quickly. Her father had died only 4 years after she was born. Given this, her mother had fallen into a deep depression. She had done the best she could to cope, but in the end it wasn’t enough. When peaches was just 10, Butterball had taken her own life. Without parents to look after her, she needed to grow up and take care of herself. When she was only 12, she found out that her special talent was cloud clearing, and she got a cutie mark of 3 swirling clouds. When she was 15, she finished Cloudsdale. After that she joined weather patrol in Ponyville, which is where her parents and her had lived. She met a nice stallion at the age of 16. His name was Blunder, because he was sort of a cluts. But, he was 20 and took care of Peaches, so she married him at the age of 18. Being such a good flier, she was promoted to head of the squad at the age of 21. She got moved to night work. That is when she met Lunar Divide. They had become good friends when they were young. After Flareshock had died, her mother had started to home-school her until she committed suicide when Peaches was 10. It had been nearly 17 years since she had seen him, and he had definitely changed. He now was an alicorn, and mighty fine one at that. One night things became a little tense. When the sunset, all of Ponyville began to shake. It was unusual, because it wasn’t earthquake season. After the slight jolt, something started to glow in the center of Ponyville. So Peaches and Lunar Divide went to check it out. When they got there, they noticed that the stone-imprisoned Discord was no longer there. In a state of complete shock, Peaches and Lunar Divide heard a voice they did not remember. As they turned to attention, before them stood the God of Chaos, Discord. He laughed maniacally and chanted, “Why hello there! It’s so nice to see you, given that I finally get my vision back. I just can’t wait to go see my good friend Celestia.” With that he disappeared. With awe struck looks on their faces, they both started flying towards the Canterlot castle. When they got there they noticed that everything had been trashed. Books laying everywhere, paper still fluttering down to the ground and even ink spattered on everything, but Celestia was no where to be found. They frantically ran to Luna’s room and found that she was a sobbing ball stuck in the corner. They rushed over to her, and attempted to comfort her. “Discord returned,” said the broken, black mare, “and he took my sister.” They knew that they were unable to comfort her, so they decided to ask a few questions. “Where did he take her?” Lunar Divide asked. “He said something about ‘Getting back at the Elements of Harmony’ but other than that I don’t know.” They immediately knew what was to happen next. They rushed back to Ponyville and found the 6 mares that once held the Elements of Harmony strung up by their hooves. Alongside them was Princess Celestia. “Attention everyone,” Discord called out, “this is what I have wanted to do since I was turned to stone. All 7 of these fine mares will suffer the crime of harming me. Now, here is the good part. All of you are going to suffer the same fate.” As soon as he said that, Peaches rushed up and clipped Discord with her wing. This enraged the mixed and matched beast. “How dare you! Looks like you want to be with them.” Before he could do anything, Discord was enveloped by a glowing aura. “Back away from my friend you unholy beast!” Lunar Divide called to Discord. “Don’t you dare lay a finger on her! Or I swear, I WILL KILL YOU!” Lunar Divide was now enraged. He lifted Discord and launched him as far as he could. But his effort was short lived, because Discord had appeared out of thin air. “And you actually thought that would work? Pathetic.” Discord slammed Lunar Divide as hard into the ground as he could, shattering his horn. He shrieked at the top of his lungs. “AHHHHHHH!” The pain was more than he had ever experienced. “I will show you what happens to ponies like you.” With that he began shattering Twilight Sparkle’s, Rarity’s, and Celestia’s horns all at once. They squealed in unision as they experienced the same pain as Lunar divide. “That was fun wasn’t it? I’ll try something else.” Discord reached over to Rainbow Dash and began to crack her wings. At that moment, she nearly fainted from pain. He did the same for Peaches, Fluttershy, Celestia, and Lunar Divide. With no end to this horror, Peaches and Lunar Divide closed their eyes in defeat.

After having lost their horns and wings, they had no way of flying or of using magic. “What will we do? We can’t use our magic or fly.” Said a discouraged Twilight Sparkle. “Discord has to pay. I will banish him to the moon once you have turned him into stone.” Celestia told them. “But without the Elements, we won’t be able too sugarcube.” Applejack had a depressed voice. “I guess we lose.” Rainbow Dash was sadder now then she had ever been. “I think I can help.” “Aren’t you DJ-Pon3?” Rainbow Dash asked. “Well my name is Vinyl Scratch, but yes I am.” Replied Vinyl. “Well we accept your offer. Though, where did you come from?” Twilight had a sort of bizarre look on her face. “I was watching from the crowd and just thought that y’all needed help.” After they got ready they set off into the path of the chaos, which was an obvious lead to Discord. As they went along, Peaches could feel the tension between everyone. Just like a kid at their parents’ funeral, which she knew was like; they were mourning the loss of their precious appendages. Nothing was said along the way, until they stumbled upon a giant floating castle. “You think he is in there?” Asked a concerned Twilight. “I know he is,” said Celestia angrily, “even without my horn.” So they all entered the castle. But they did not expect what was about to happen. Once they stepped inside, all of their horns/wings were fixed and reattached. “Oh man! How glad I am to see you guys.” Called out Rainbow Dash enthusiastically. “Yeah its amazing that mine are too.” Said Fluttershy and Peaches in unison. They were all happy to have them back. But they suddenly figured out why they had them. “Hello my pretty little mares and stallion. Glad to have those back, because if not I can take them away again. Would you enjoy that?” Chanted Discord. “I knew something was wrong about getting back our horns and wings. So tell me, why did you give them back to us?” Asked Celestia in a serious voice. “I thought you might need them to fight me.” Replied the now grinning God of Chaos. What happened next was so quick, not even Celestia could have stopped it. Just before Discord could cast the spell that would destroy the Elements of Harmony, Princess Luna jumped out of nowhere and got in the way. “NO!” Called out Celestia, but it was no good. She had been killed in mid air protecting the Elements. “YOU WILL PAY FOR YOUR CRIMES!” Celestia said with the Canterlot Royal Shout. Just as Discord was recovering from the shock, Twilight, Rarity, AJ, RD, Fluttershy, and Pinkie had used the Elements to transform Discord to stone. After this, Lunar Divide and Celestia used their magic horns to send him to the moon. When it was all said and done, Celestia broke down into tears. “She is gone. How will I get her back?” Celestia was now sobbing as hard as she could. “You couldn’t have stopped her if you tried. It was what she wanted. Besides, she saved the Elements, so she didn’t die in vain.” Said Lunar Divide. Once they got back to Ponyville, they through a big celebration. “Oh yeah guys,” screamed Vinyl, “lets crank this up!” Since she was a DJ, they decided to have her play the celebration music. “Lunar Divide, can I talk to you?” Asked Celestia. “Sure. What do you need?” Said Lunar Divide. “I want you to watch the night back at the Canterlot castle. You would be good for the job.” Said Celestia. Lunar couldn’t believe what he had just heard. He was completely blown away. “Of course! I would be honored!” So once it was all said and done, Lunar Divide and Celestia returned to Canterlot. Peaches became the official representative of Ponyville, and Fisher became the official leader of Ponyville Rescue Team. “You know, I have always been curious as to what happened to Blunder?” Asked Fisher. “He had a heart attack and died 2 years before this incident. Didn’t you know?” Said Peaches. “No I didn’t. I guess you are looking for a mate I suppose?” Asked Fisher cautiously. “Of course I will marry you Blunder, all you had to do was ask.” And so from that day forward, Fisher and Peaches were happily married.
Lost ChapterView OnlineRace Against TimeLost ChapterNearly 12 years after taking Luna’s place at the Royal Canterlot Castle, Lunar Divide had seen better days. He felt as if he could take no more. Apparently over those 12 years, something had snapped inside him. He no longer wanted to be an Alicorn. Aside for that, he didn’t want ANYPONY to be an Alicorn. He had decided that tommorow would be the day that he eliminated the race of Alicorns (it would be easy given only 3 were left, himself included). He then raised the moon for the very last time. When the following day arrived, he set out to find Queen Crysalis, the one person that he KNEW would want to help him kill Celestia. The fly was very short, given he was an excellent flier by then. He remembered back during the battle against Discord when he had lost all sense of being an Alicorn, which felt good for him, aside for the pain that he endured losing them. Finally, he had arrived at the colony of the creatures known as the Changelings, which Crysalis had reign over. When he walked to the mmain entrance to the hive, he noticed the guards. He knew it was going to be hard to explain to the why he was here. After a complicated talk, that I will not explain, he made it into the hive and was escorted to the head master A.K.A. Queen Crysalis. “Hello, Miss Crysalis. I have much to say.” Lunar Divide said on the brink of the Canterlot Royal voice. “And just what might that be?” Snickered back Crysalis, who Lunar Divide could tell was on the more agitated side. “I would like to talk about defeating Celestia.” After he said that, Crysalis’ ears perked up. “So what you are saying is that I should help you defeat Celestia?” Now Crysalis seemed more confused. “Not just her, but all Alicorns. I want you to help me defeat all of them!” Lunar called out, obviously excited now. “But you yourself are an Alicorn.” With that a large smile stretched across his face. “I would like to be changed back to my old self, when I was just a simple little Pegasus. It would so much better.” Crysalis crumpled her nose. “I am afraid that cannot be done. The magic of Princess Luna cannot be reversed, except by her own doing. Since she is no longer alive, there is no way to change back.” Lunar Divide stared off into space. He couldn’t believe what he had just heard. With not being able to change back Crysalis, her army and Lunar Divide took off to kill all of the Alicorns. When they arrived, they headed straight for the Canterlot castle. As they approached the guards noticed Lunar Divide, because all of the Changelings were disguised as guards. They entered and began plan A. It was quite simple actually: Set the bomb that would destroy all of Canterlot, let the Changelings escape, and form a force field to protect land around Canterlot. They started by bringing out the main components first, then began to peace them together slowly. Once they had that completely assemble, they set the time for 20 minutes. This would ensure that they had enough time to cast the force field and escape. As the time began to tick, they began to flood out in a giant frantic group. As the last of them escaped, they set up the force field to protect them and all other lands around the capitol. After this, Lunar Divide said his final words, “Sorry Stargazer. I didn’t mean to hurt you.” As soon as he said that all of Canterlot was blown to bits. Not a single soul survived.
