Metal Wing P.O.V.

Midnight sky curls up against Golden sky continuing to cry, he doesn't act like a prince. He acts more like a scared colt, but he has his reasons too, 200 years!? All alone how is he not broken yet?. "We have to find out what's happening on the surface." That's when Midnight wipes the tears from his eyes and speaks up.

"We cannot reclaim Mannalus!! It's a lost cause without our numbers and equipment! We need allies, subjects, and soldiers. We need to protect any and all creatures. We need an army of scientists to reclaim what was once ours!" He then curls up and falls asleep next to Golden sky. Lucky star looks at Midnight and nods.

"By your orders, my prince. First, we need to prepare." That's when I decide to speak up. "We need a way out from what the Prince's Logs explain, we need a new way to escape this prison, So Zextra!!" The Zony was just standing being silent like she normally does. She looks at me and tilts her head.

"Can you repair any of these systems if you can't, We will come back soon when we have the ponies to repair the systems" She just stares at me, I get the point she's a hacker, not a repair pony. "Sorry, Zextra I forget your not the best at repairing." She smiles and nods, at least she's still humble. "We need to get ready to, leave weapons and armor. We need to find the prince's 4 Weapons!!" Lucky star nods and runs to the armory. While Zextra, just stares at midnight. "Zextra I know you are concerned, so am I, but we need to get ready to leave and put the systems in this location to Pod life support. Can you do that?"

she nods dumbly, "Yes Heavy Metal I will do what I can, to be helpful". I nod, I walk to my stasis pod. I take a quick look at the Wingblades. Crafted from Starmetal, made exactly for her. Oh, this was the best gift she ever got from Midnight. She could protect him now, while he protected her. I smile, I quickly equip The Wingblades. I Flap my wings experimentally, Perfectly equipped.

That's when Lucky star rushes in screaming, I look behind her and freeze. GIANT BLOODY ROACHES!?! IS THIS WHAT RADIATION DOES!?! THE FUCK!

One of the roaches tries to jump on Lucky stars back, only to be blasted into disgusting bug blood. Zextra moves swiftly and obliterates each roach leaving a crater in the steel floor. I knew she had Fallen-Ceaser martial arts training because she taught Midnight how to, But DAMN! I shake my head, "Good job Zextra, I'm just confused about what these are. Giant Roaches? Whatever they are, we have to be careful not to get swarmed they are aggressive. Just hope there are no more." I shudder in disgust, Gold, Lucky, and Zextra nod. Midnight groans in his sleep and hugs golden tighter. I feel bad for him, it must have been hell for him.

I hold Midnights Suppressed 9mm pistol in my mouth. Lucky holds His Ponychester and his 50. cal revolver in her changeling magic, while Zextra holds one of his swords in her mouth. Then Golden Sky grabs Midnight AR120 and the second sword all in her magic field. I strap Midnight to Goldens back, then we all step to the doors that lead to the tunnels. "We ready?" All 3 nod, and I nod and shove the green button on the door panel. The door opens slowly and creaking loudly, we all feel a shiver at what the new world will be like.

Behind the door is pure darkness until Golden Sky activates the flashlight attachment. We all gasp in surprise. Hundreds of changeling corpses, All inside the cave way, we all thought the Changeling hive would be safe. I hear Luck start to cry, "I'm sorry Lucky if we knew we would have let them in."

"It's not your fault...We didn't know the war would end like this we just suspected. It was all just theories, we had no idea this would truly happen." We nod and start moving forward. Golden and Lucky do Sweeps of each room, Not quite military class but close enough. Then we enter the main Hives room, That's when we smelt it. Decay, Fresh decay. Like something died recently. We look around and see some moving Figures. That's when all our pip-bucks flash a hostile red mark on all our E.F.S. Whatever they are they are not friendly.

That's when we get a good look at them, Rotten Deceased changelings. Their Chitin is Missing in some places, Maybe missing some eyes fangs, or ears. Whatever they are they aren't changelings anymore. So we open fire on the near Hundred walking corpses. We all activate S.A.T.S almost at one, target our own targets via Pip-bucks informing of our allies target. All headshots, then we release the spell as time slows down for each of us.

'PFFT, PFFT, PFFT, PFFT,' ' BOOM BOOM BOOM'

We keep Shooting, reloading, and shooting some more. They just keep coming undeterred by the 10s of hundreds of their fellows dead on the ground. Fuck even some eat the dead, Right before us!! " THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE RETREAT OUT OF THE CAVE" They nod, that's when Midnight's eyes shoot open. The look in his eyes tells me he is pissed. " COVER YOUR EARS!!" They all fall to the ground hooves over their ears as Midnight Screams in an inequine roar. The rope used to strap midnight down snap.

Red flames engulf Midnight's body as he transforms into a full Bloody wolf. His eyes though there was no sign of the old him in them. He didn't even recognize us, but somehow he knew to protect us? Midnight howls and rushes forward like a rabid animal. He uses his teeth, claws, and strength to tear through the undead like paper. We just stare dumbfounded. Soon as it started... it went deafly quiet. Nopony made any sound, it felt like hours. It was just minutes, we heard Midnight groan.

"What the bloody happened!?! It feels like I drank 30 gallons of Vodka!!" He gets up and shakes the blood from his body, "Gross It smells rotten... where is my armor?" Oh fuck we left it

" Sorry-" I didn't get to finish When Lucky spoke up.

"Here it is Prince, I just hope it works." She pulls out a neatly wrapped bag, Midnight opens it and squeals like a filly. He then levitates a silvery ring around his horn. Then he lets out a pained grunt, that's when the screaming started. It sounded like he was being tortured. We all tried to rush to help him but Lucky stops us.

" WHAT THE FUCK HE IS IN PAIN!!" All 3 of us shout in unison. She just calmly looks at us and states.

" This model requires being connected to the nervous system, but the process is similar to torture. It will end soon, Just be patient." As if on cue the screaming stopped, we all just stared at his eyes. Cold and calculating, he didn't look like he had emotions currently.

He notices us all staring at his eyes, "What? Is something wrong? We have a job to do." We all nod confused, "Keep my weapons for now we need as many armed ponies as possible."

He starts to lead us down the empty cave, with the smell of death. We were reaching our limits on holding down what food we had inside us. It was disgusting, we need to clean this place out when we return. We continue walking even though we all wanted to stop, that's when we see it. A huge underground city completely abandoned. No bones, corpses, or undead anywhere. That fact unnerved me, but the next even more so. It was clean, it had no signs of wear or tear like it was just cleaned today. I hear midnight whistle, "Impressive this the Changeling hive, I expected it to look like an actual hive, not a massive underground city. It is easily half a mile in each direction, the skyscrapers are actually acting like pillars to support the ceiling. Impressive architecture must have taken years to construct. The thing that concerns me Is the work looks fresh, But where did the occupants move to?"

He gets the look like he had an epiphany when he sees a working light post, "They were using the Bunkers power systems? No wonder the power drained 20,000,000,000 volts per day, This place requires tons of energy. Luckily they didn't drain only the power to the bunker but the city power grid also. The bunker didn't have enough electricity in its batteries for that level of energy rate." He shrugs and starts walking down the street. It was completely abandoned, not a soul in sight. That's when Zextra speaks up startling all of us, she didn't mean to of course but she did.

"Isn't this eerie? Not a single life form insight, but this place can hold hundreds of anything. It's just empty... no signs of battle or mass death. I just look like they up and left a perfectly good city." We all get startled when we hear Midnight's voice.

"Doesn't matter yet, we have to escape and survive for as long as we can. Then come back and save our ponies" We all nod in agreement.

Walking through the empty city, All of us stay silent. No one dares to speak, But we stay on edge ready for any attack that might come.

When we pass a street block we see it. Natural Lights, but it's darker than normal must be a cloudy day. The group starts moving in that direction. When we reach the entrance of the cave, we stare at everything. It looks like the world is ruined. Clouds everywhere only faint specks of sunlight, and the City was covered in a thick cloud of Green haze.

Golden Sky P.O.V.

"Uhh Midnight what am I looking at? I though you said the surface was habitable. Then what the fuck is that!!" i point at the city. This shouldn't have happened.

"Like I said in the bunker, Mannalus is covered in a literal Chaos haze. Filled with chaotic energy. No non-chaos creatures can survive that. It's so dense it can almost get past the Hazard shielding, That's not even the worse. Somehow the chaos energy fused with the balefire radiation and created some weird hybrid I call Chaos Radiation. We don't have the supplies to reform Mannalus yet or maybe ever. Its so far gone I might just use that underground city as the new capitol." My jaw drops he wants to Abandon The Silent City?! No one would like that!!

"Whatever these are issues for later, we have to survive. Make allies fix our country one town at a time!!" He acts and sounds like the old him but his eyes. It's like he's lying to himself. I shake my head, Then all our pip-bucks beep

We look at each other confused, Save Bottom creek? Then I Notice a marker off to the left, "Uhh, guys let's follow that marker?" They nod as we start walking in that direction.

A few minutes later (maybe 1 and a half miles away from the cave entrance) in silence we reach an overlook to a small village with around 10 houses, but the thing that catches all of our attention is the fires. The entire village was on fire, and we could hear screaming. I look at Midnight and he gets the idea. "Let's see what's happening but be careful. I'll Stealth my way inside." He pulls his cloak cover over his head and disappears. I look at Metal wing then.

"Huh what? …. what do you want me to do?" Then she catches the drift, "Ohh I get it okay move out!!" We start to move towards the village.

Prince Midnight Sky P.O.V.

I land on the ceiling of the City hall. 'Think Midnight your weaponless, Combat isn't easy without a force multiplier I need to think like an assassin.' I see some ponies but they show up red on my E.F.S. 'Hostiles Odd so this town is under attack' then he gets a good look at the ponies. Blood-soaked, weak trashy handcrafted firearms, Low caliber resistant Armor. that armor is made with spikes and rubber? The fuck that isn't even moderately good armor, Hell even the weakest armor would work better than this shit!!

I decide 'Fuck it' they can't hurt me with these weak-ass weapons. So I deactivate my cloak and clear my throat. "So um what do you think you are doing?" The ponies jump startled and look around not seeing him. Clearly, either high, idiots...or both, I snort in disgust how can they invade a properly defended town?

I launch off the roof and land on one of the ponies' back with a sickening crack. The other pony looks at his partner in surprise when he falls over, with his spine poking out his skin. " TSK TSK TSK"

'BANG!' I feel a bullet bounce off my armored helmet, 'BANG' again in the head. "Well, I'll give you one choice surrender or die" 'BANG' This time right in the visor. I use my magic to grab the dead ponies .38cal automatic pipe pistol. Trash but it is lethal.

I point the pistol at the Pony And pull the trigger. 'BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG!!!' I blink at it huh smooth rapid-fire receiver. Then I look at the blank space where a head should be, not bad. Still trash though, then the body catches on fire. I just stare confused, I'm shooting regular rounds. So why is it spewing fire? Meh questions for later, I hear gunfire and run towards it.

'It came from inside this house.' I kick the door open and what I see makes me see red. My armor automatically retracts, My fur bristles as lightning arcs across my body. My body starts to become engulfed in fire. What I see is a Brutally Beaten, Traumatized, and Raped mare and filly. " MONSTERS!!" This shocks everypony but the one I target is the big stallion over the filly. I launch off my back-paws and front flip kick him through the shattered brick wall. Using my forward momentum to roll back to my paws. I Run towards the next stallion he Blocks expecting me to hit him, but it was just a faint. My automatic pistol shoves my pistol barrel into His ball sack and open fire. The response was pleasing, he screamed like someone being torn limb from limb. I hear/feel hoove step behind me and turn 360 and kick him square in the jaw. I smile triumphantly when I hear the bones shatter, but I wasn't done yet. I grab both stallions by their necks and twist hard. Shattering multiple vertebrae. That's when I hear chuckling, "Not bad you killed two ponies and nearly me in seconds. You're a good assassin... can I hire ya?"

I look and see that giant stallion I threw through a brick wall standing covered in blood, and retract my armored helmet. "That depends-", the ponies on the ground suddenly looked terrified, I just wink at them. "My price is so steep it would be one-sided."

"Just name your-" He didn't get to finish as I launch forward and dig my razor-sharp K9s into his neck. He gives a surprised gurgle, But I'm not gonna kill him yet.

"Your soul and life is my price you FOOL, Now Ladies' go outside I have ponies coming to look for any survivors." This scares them even worse. The mare seems like she wanted to respond, but I cut her off before she can "Then don't if you are scared. I'm not forcing anypony, Now want to explain to me what happened here?"

The Young mare speaks up, "Well mister me and my sister here were waiting for mother to come home when these brutes invaded and woke me from my sleep and tried to ...to" I take off my cloak and hand her a healing potion. She looks happy but confused. "You sure mister? These are expensive and no one just hands these out." I smile and nod, this calms her even more, she takes the cork out drinks half, and gives the rest to her sister.

"Tell me what these ponies are Bandits?" She gets the expression that explains 'worse'. Worse than bandits?

"They are raiders, Rape, steal, eat, torture, or enslave ponies. They are the scum of the wasteland mister. You don't look like a stable-dweller, and your eyes show you've seen your fair share of loss. So how come you don't know what raiders are." She then gets a good look at my horn and her eyes go wide. My horn had one black ring 2 white rings and a ruby ring. The rings of the prince the nobles called it I smile at her expression, I shake my head playfully.

"Who do you think I am?" My smile grows when she bows to me. "Oh please don't do that I have fallen, I no longer have a position of power young ones." Then the little filly speaks up startling me.

" Big sis Moonlight? Who is this?" I lean my head down to her level.

"I am Midnight sky, it's a pleasure to meet you, miss?" This irks the filly.

" BUT MIDNIGHT SKY WAS A PRINCE YOU DON'T LOOK LIKE ONE!!" I laugh this filly is a sharp one. I slowly undo my wing protectors I spread my black wings with red secondary feathers. The looks I got from both ponies were all I needed.

" I am The Black Prince. I am here to serve milady's" Cover my wings again and spread them inside the wing protectors. Perfect, "Okay ponies just follow me I will find your mother-" I got cut off by the bulky stallion I nearly killed. I thought I cut out his tongue!!

"HAHA, YOU WON'T FIND HER HERE! MOST OF THE PONIES ARE AT OUR BASE LIKELY BEING IMPALED ON POLES AS WE SPEAK!! HAHAHA-" His Laughter was cut off by gurgling as I slit his throat with my claws. His body falls over dead leaving a slowly spreading blood puddle.

" ASSHOLE THEY TOKE INNOCENT PONIES!!" I take a deep breath, "I'm sorry girl-" I hear the filly burst out crying, I shutter in anger.

"WE need mommy and daddy!!" The filly starts bawling, and my heartaches. I haven't had a child yet but I never wanna hear a child cry like that again. I want it, I won't let this family be broken and if they are dead. I'll take care of these two on my own if I have to.

"I promise I will Save your mommy and daddy little on. If I cant though you have to promise to stay strong okay?" She nods.

Time to go save some ponies and kill some scumbags!!
