After fleeing to planet Earth, Sonic, a young anthropomorphic blue hedgehog born with the talented ability to run faster than the speed of sound, hence his name, and possesses lightning-fast reflexes to match his speed and also well-known for his legendary cocky attitude, easy-going demeanor, and somewhat short temper, yet strong sense of justice, compassion, and love for freedom and adventure, has been secretly living in Canterlot City as his new home for the past decade along with his incredible power of energetic super speed. Things went well for him while growing up and exploring the place, until he accidentally knocks out the power grid due to suffering loneliness, and unexpectedly getting the attention of the military, along with the scientific but psychotic super intelligent robotics genius, Dr. Robotnik.

Meanwhile, as the Rainbooms prepare for summer vacation before finishing up the semester with their finals and helping with top selections for the yearbook, things start to get even more suspicious for them as the power grid near their school is somehow knocked down, until CHS is left unknowingly in big suspicion by the government after sending in a special agent to investigate, causing the school to be temporarily closed as a result.

After meeting and teaming up with The Rainbooms, due to some unexpected circumstances, Sonic and the Rainbooms must travel to Manehattan to retrieve Sonic’s rings, and stop Dr. Robotnik from using Sonic’s power for weapons of world domination while also fleeing from the government to keep their new friend safe.
