Hello everyone, this is just a heads up. The future dialogue down below will be written in Toddler speech, for example.

"My name is Kipo, wad's youws?"

It's not like that UWU speech where it's like this,

"Hewwo, my nawme iws kipo. Whawt's youws?"

Fluttershy Meets Kipo's New Friend

Fluttershy hummed to herself as she fed the last of her animals. “There, now is everyone all fed?” she asked them and they voiced their confirmation, all except one.

“Momma, I'm hungwy.” Kipo said as she walked up to her, wearing a purple onesie and holding Angel in her arms. It had been a few years since Fluttershy found Kipo and since then, the girl had begun to see Fluttershy as a mom, much to the mare's great joy.

Angel squeaked something along the lines of ‘Feed the girl before she eats me!’

“Oh Angel, you know Kipo won’t-”

“Nom.” Kipo said as she stuffed Angel's head in her mouth with the little bunny’s legs kicking as he tried to get out. Fluttershy sighed as she shook her head.

“Out.” she said and Kipo obeyed as she spat out the bunny’s head and he fell to the floor with an annoyed look on his face. “You ok Angel?” she asked the bunny.

Angel squeaked and pointed all over the place before Kipo gasped and points at Angel. “Bunny say naughdy wowd!”

“Angel, you know we don’t say that kind of language, especially in front of children.” Fluttershy said sternly then she looked at Kipo, “And what did I say about trying to eat Angel?”

“Nod doo.” Kipo said, pouting a little. “But he yummy! Especially widh kedchup!”

Angel waved a paw at Kipo squeaking. ‘Are you sure she won’t eat us all? Maybe she is an adult and can be released back into the forest.’

Kipo then hugged Angel, “Bud Angel would miss me!” she said before giving him a sad look, “Wight?”

Angel looks away before pouting in defeat. He squeaked softly. ‘Yeah yeah, I would miss you cub, now put me down and get the yellow one to feed you.’

“Yay!” Kipo said happily as she continues to hug Angel a bit longer before letting him go and he hopped over to Fluttershy, who had an amused smile on her face.

“See? She loves you too much to eat you Angel.” Fluttershy said to the bunny.

Angle looks up at Fluttershy and squeaks, ‘For now, but maybe I should tell you about her little friend, that should make you keep a closer eye on her.’

“Kipo is a good girl, I’m sure she won’t eat anyone.” Fluttershy said as she was making Kipo her food, which was fish and some fruit, but paused. “Wait, what do you mean her little friend?”

Angel smirks and points at the backyard. ‘When she goes outside to play, she also plays with a small pony, yellow, red mane and tail, and a big bow on her head. Angel bunny think Kipo cub not listen to Fluttershy pony.’

Fluttershy went wide-eyed at this. “What?! B-but I told her not to go too far from the cottage to where somepony can see her!” Fluttershy said in worry. “Do you know who the pony is?!”

Angel’s nose twitches. ‘Little pony and Kipo cub stay in own backyards, can see each other through fence to apple tree forest. Think little pony related to apple pony.’

Fluttershy knew who he was talking about, the pony Kipo was seeing was Applejack's little sister, Applebloom, granted she hardly saw the filly but she knew Angel was talking about her. “O-oh dear, does Applejack know about this?” she asked Angel.

Angel just shrugs. ‘Angel bunny listen to yellow one, stay in home, and be good bunny. Maybe get tasty reward?’

Fluttershy gave him a deadpanned look, “You just told me this just to get back at Kipo didn’t you?” she asked him.

Angel tries to look innocent. ‘Angel bunny not know what yellow one means, Angel bunny just trying to protect yellow one from shadow ponies.’

Fluttershy sighs. “Angel, please don’t, I have a problem that needs my attention.” she said as she sat down. “Kipo can’t be seen by other ponies, at least not without her necklace that is, but still, it might attract attention to both her and me. The wrong kind of attention. One that might…” she didn’t want to finish that sentence as bad memories flashed before her eyes. Ones filled with screams of terror and death.

Angel frowns and hops up into her lap. ‘Angel bunny sorry, Kipo cub always wear shinny when outside, like yellow one always tell her. Small pony seems nice, Winona say small pony good pony.’

Fluttershy was still worried. “But has she told Applejack? That’s what I want to know. Did Applebloom tell her sister and she is just waiting for the right time to confront me about Kipo? Or is waiting for the right time to…” she didn’t finish that sentence as tears leaked from the corners of her eyes.

Angel scratches his head. ‘Angel bunny sorry, Angel not know. Small pony always show up after lunch, ask?’

Fluttershy sighed again and nodded her head. “I will.” she said before she finished making Kipo’s lunch and walked to the table with it, seeing her adoptive daughter sitting patiently at the table, playing with a couple of mice. “Here you go Kipo, sorry it took so long.” Fluttershy said as she put the plate in front of the girl.

“Fish!” Kipo said happily as she began to eat, her teeth had grown sharper and allowing her to tear into the fish with ease. Once she was done with the fish she happily ate her fruit as well. “Momma, can I play oudside?” Kipo asked as she finished eating.

“Y-yes dear, you can, and mommy will be coming with you as well.” Fluttershy said, which made Kipo smile.

“Yay! Momma can meed Kipo's fwiend!!” Kipo said happily before she hopped out of her chair and practically dragged Fluttershy to the backyard with Angel following them. The three left the cottage and were heading towards the fence, where Fluttershy can see a small filly waiting. The filly had a yellow coat wwith a red mane and tail and a bow that was bigger than her head meaning it was a bit too big for her but it didn't seem to bother her. “Applebwoom!”

“Kipo!” The filly called and ran to the fence smiling and showing off a bit of a gap between her teeth. “Who is that?” she asked after spotting Fluttershy.

“This momma! She gonna pway with us!” Kipo said, excited that her mom was gonna play with her and her friend, she then looked down and picked up Angel. “And this Angwel! He best bunny!” Angel seemed to smirk in pride at the praise a bit.

Applebloom tilts her head. “That's a cute bunny but Winona is cooler.”

(Author's Note: Applebloom doesn't talk like Kipo simply because she's a bit older than her and a bit better taught.)

“Nuh uh! Angel is!” Kipo argued, an angry pout on her face.

Applebloom puffs up her cheeks. “Winona is cooler! And if Ah was allowed off the farm Ah would show you her tricks.”

“Angel can do dwicks doo!” Kipo said and before she can prove it, Fluttershy spoke up.

“U-um, I’m sorry t-to interrupt, but I have a-a question for your f-friend Kipo.” Fluttershy said, looking at Applebloom, who titled her head in curiosity.

“What do ya want to ask me?” Applebloom asked Fluttershy while tilting her head cutely.

“W-well, did you happen t-to tell your sister a-about Kipo?” Fluttershy asked her, making sure to hide the fear in her voice.

Apple Bloom's ears fold back as she digs at the ground. “Well…Ah ain't supposed to be this close to the fence. Please don’t tell ma sister or worse ma granny!”

Fluttershy had mentally let out a sigh of relief. “D-don’t worry, I won’t t-tell.” she said, smiling a bit. “B-but you can’t t-tell them about Kipo, ok?”

“Huh? But why?” Applebloom asked her, luckily, she had a good excuse in case something like this happened.

“B-because I’m gonna s-surprise my friends with h-her and you d-don’t want to spoil m-my surprise do you?” Fluttershy asked her and the filly gasped.

“No Ah wouldn’t miss Shy!” Applebloom said, “Ah won’t tell anyone ‘bout Kipo!”

Fluttershy smiled while making sure to hide her relief. “Thank y-you Applebloom.” Fluttershy said,

“Momma, we play now?” Kipo asked her.

“Yeah, can we play?” Applebloom asked, hopping in place.

Fluttershy nodded her head, causing the two to let out a cheer. “Just stay where I-I can see you, and don’t g-get too close to the Everfree.” Fluttershy warned, knowing how dangerously close her home was to the forest. She might have to fix that in the future.

“Ok momma!” Kipo said as Angel managed to squirm out of her arms while she looked at Applebloom, “Whad game we gonna play?”

“Let’s play ball!” She pulls out a ball.

“Okay!” Kipo said happily and the two began to play with the ball, either playing catch or just kicking it around while Fluttershy watched them with a happy smile on her face. She was glad Kipo made a friend and that she didn’t have to worry about Applejack finding out about Kipo, she was gonna tell her friends but was waiting for the right moment too.

“Maybe telling me of Kipo’s friend was a good idea Angel.” Fluttershy said to her bunny.

Angel squeaks and looks smugly. ‘Angel knows, Angel bunny always have good idea.’

Fluttershy merely giggles at his smugness. “Well, I’m glad you had that idea then. But I still want you to keep an eye on the two of them, just in case Applejack or any of Applebloom’s family come by looking for her.” Fluttershy said sternly.

Angel bunny pouts and squeaks while waving his arms around. ‘But Kipo cub wild! Kipo cub not listen to Angel bunny.’

That was true, the wild thing that is, as she got older Kipo was starting to exhibit behavior similar to young jaguars, which Fluttershy a bit nervous at first but she got used to it. “Yes, she can get out of hoof at times, but she is still a child, she’ll listen to authority. Sometimes.”

Angel sighs and lowers his head in defeat. ‘Ok, Angel bunny will watch over Kipo cub and little pony.’

“Thank you Angel, I would watch over them myself but you know how busy I can get, and including….needing to do that..” Fluttershy said with an ashamed look on her face.

Angel pats Fluttershy’s leg. ‘Yellow one is kind pony, no matter what yellow one has to do to live.’

“Thank you Angel, but sometimes, I have a hard time believing that nowadays.” Fluttershy said as she continued to watch the two children play with the ball by kicking it all over the backyard which made Fluttershy smile seeing her daughter being able to play with someone that wasn't afraid or disgusted by her. It made her both happy and relieved though she couldn't help but worry about the rest of the Apple family and how they'll react to Kipo.

She trusts Applejack of course but even your own friends can betray you sometimes if her parent stories were anything to go by so she didn't want to take any chances. She sighs before walking back inside. She still needed to take care of some of her animal friends who were beginning to become a bit rowdy. "Never a quiet day with a house full of animals." Fluttershy said with a small giggle.

While she was doing that, Applebloom kicked the ball towards the cottage and both she and Kipo ran after it with Kipo being slightly faster than her but still failed to get the ball first. "Aw man!" whined Kipo as Applebloom kicked the ball away from her while she giggles.

"Gotta be faster than that Kipo!" Applebloom told her as she kicked the ball away from the half jaguar girl again. Frustrating Kipo even more as she struggled to keep up.

"No faiw! youw legs awe longew dhan mine!" whined Kipo before she tripped and fell on her front. "Oof!"

Applebloom stopped and turned to Kipo and went to help her up. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm okay." Kipo said as she got up on her feet then grinned and ran over to where the ball was. "Bud now me have the ball!" she then gave it a good kick, sending it over to the fence before chasing after it with Applebloom hot on her heels.

"Hey no fair!" the farm filly whined as she tried to catch up to Kipo just as she kicked the ball into the orchard and the two chased after it, not knowing that they were running straight into the orchard but someone did and they quickly after the two. The two kids, unaware of their follower, continued to run around the orchard while each of them kicked the ball after getting it away from the other. "Ah'm gonna git that ball! Just you wait Kipo!"

"Nu uh! Da ball is mine!" Kipo said with a giggle before she kicked the ball past a tree and the two chased after it but the moment they ran around the tree the ball was nowhere in sight. "Huh? Where da ball?"

"Ah don't know. It was here just a minute ago." Applebloom said as the two looked around for their ball only for Applebloom to realize where they were. "Oh, we're in the orchard."

"We awe?" Kipo asked as she looked around. Her eyes going wide in awe as she looked at all the apple trees. "Whoa! I nevew seen so many apples in one place befowe!"

"This is Sweet Apple Acres. My home." Applebloom said with a smile.

"Acwes? Whad does dhad mean?" Kipo asked in confusion.

"Uh, I don't know. Granny said it meant it was big or something?" Applebloom said, scratching her head, equally confused. Kipo however stopped paying attention and was trying to explore the orchard. "Hey! Wait up!" Appebloom called out as she chased after Kipo but she didn't listen and continued to run through the trees.

Something about running through the trees made her feel something within. Something that was telling her that this was right. It both confused and excited Kipo. However, this feeling disappeared when Kipo suddenly tripped on a tree root, making her face on her front once again with a loud "Oof!"

"Kipo? Are ya ok?" Applebloom asked once she caught up with the half jaguar girl.

"I'm okay." Kipo said as she shook her head before attempting to get up but ended up falling again. She looked up at Applebloom for help and the filly did just that, grabbing her arm, Applebloom helped Kipo get back on her feet. "Dhanks."

"No problem." Applebloom said with a smile before both of their stomachs growled. "You're hungry too?"

Kipo nodded her head. "Yeah, I'm hungwy too. Bud wad can we ead?"

Applebloom just grins and walks over to a tree. "How about a couple of apples? Trust me, you'll never want to eat another apple after trying one of Sweet Apple Acres apples."

Awe you suwe I can have one?" Kipo asked and her stomach growled again, making Applebloom giggle.

"Yeah, Ah'm sure." she then turned and gave the tree a kick but it didn't do anything so she kicked it again and again but the tree didn't even so much as shudder. "Aw dang it! Curse my little filly legs!"

Kipo giggles before looking up at the tree. Suddenly, something within her told her to climb it and her toddler mind couldn't figure out what it was but decided to listen to it so with a hop she had grabbed onto the tree before trying to climb it which confused Applebloom. "What are y'all doing?" she asked Kipo, neither of them noticing that Kipo's hands had gained sharp claws that dug into the bark of the tree which helped her climb higher.

"Climing dha dwee." was Kipo's answer as she slowly made her way up the tree.

"Ah can see that." Applebloom said just as Kipo reached a branch that had a couple of ripe apples hanging from it. Once she saw them she grabbed onto the branch and was going to climb onto it but Applebloom spoke up. "hey! Don't climb on that! It's too small to hold yer weight! Just shake the branch!"

"Okay!" Kipo said back before she shook the branch, causing the apples to bounce a bit before they snapped off and fell to the ground. "I got dhem!"

"Great! Come on down and let's eat!" Applebloom said and Kipo nodded before she looked down and froze. She was really high up in the tree so seeing how far the ground was made her more than a little scared but that same feeling told her that it was going to be ok and that she should not look down while climbing down. Since the feeling helped her get the apples Kipo was willing to trust the weird feeling and looked back up before making her way down the tree but slowly.

Applebloom watched as Kipo slowly climbed down the tree before she eventually reached the ground. "You okay?" Applebloom asked when she saw Kipo shaking a little before she nodded her head.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Kipo said before shaking her head and smiling. "Whewe's dhe apples? I'm hungwy!"

Applebloom smiled as well before holding up the two apples. "Right here! Enjoy Kipo!" she said as she handed Kipo her apple before taking a bite out of hers.

Kipo happily took the apple and bit into it and the moment she did, she was assaulted by a wave of deliciousness that was a Sweet Apple Aces apple. It was so good that she ate it within seconds, smearing her face with both apple juices and apple pieces. After taking one final bite from her apple, Kipo sat down with a happy expression on her face. "Thad was yummy!" Kipo exclaimed happily and Applebloom giggled.

"Told ya Sweet Apple Acres apples were the best apples in Equestria!" the two then heard a twig snap and looked over to see nothing. They thought nothing of it but the bush next to them rustled which made them a little worried. "H-hello? Aj? Big brother? That you?"

The bush continued to rustle and shake and Kipo hid behind Applebloom out of fear as the two started to back away just as something jumped out of the bush. "Angel?" Kipo asked when she saw that it was Angel who had jumped out of the bush. The white bunny then began to squeak at them.

'Kipo cub not supposed to be here! Yellow one will be very upset once she finds out about this!' squeaked Angel and Kipo hung her head low.

"Sowwy Angel, bud we wewe chasing dhe ball an ended up hewe." Kipo said apologetically and Angel couldn't help but sigh.

'Angel bunny not mad. But we do need to get back before yellow pony notices.' he squeaked and Kipo nodded her head.

"Bud we sdill haven'd found ouw ball." Kipo said but Angel shook his head.

'Sorry cub, but Angel bunny sure small pony will find it and cub can play with her again when she finds it.'

"Okay." Kipo said while Applebloom looked confused.

"What's he saying?" Applebloom questioned.

"Bunny said I need do go home befowe momma sees dhad I'm gone." Kipo said.

"Oh, ok." applebloom said, a bit disheartened that Kipo needs to go home but understood. "Ah need to get back home too. I'll try to find the ball so we can play with it again ok?"

Kipo nodded, a small smile forming on her face. "Okay!" she then hugged her friend which was happily returned. "Bye Applebwoom!"

"Bye Kipo! I'll see ya next time!" the two separated and Kipo followed Angel back towards the cottage while Applebloom ran off to her home just as a voice called out her name. Kipo and Angel were running/hopping through the trees until they came across the familiar fence that separated the orchard and the backyard of Fluttershys. Kipo climbed under the fence until she was back in her backyard.

"Kipo. Time to come inside!" the two heard Fluttershy's voice call out and looked to see her head sticking out a window.

"Coming momma!" Kipo called back and ran back inside the house where Fluttershy was waiting for her. Upon seeing her mother she hugged her with a great big smile on her face.

"Did you have fun playing with Applebloom?" Fluttershy asked her as she hugged her daughter back.

Kipo nodded her head. "Yeah! We chased dhe ball all ovew dhe yawd bud we losd id wehn we wan indo dhe apple dwees." that made Angel facepalm and Fluttershy to go wide eyed but she quickly took a few deep breaths to avoid freaking out.

Once she was calm, she spoke. "Kipo, I know you and Applebloom didn't mean to, but you have to promise to not go beyond the fence or anywhere away from the cottage."

"Why?" Kipo asked, confused on why her mother wants her to be close to the cottage.

"Because...." Fluttershy paused, unsure on how to answer this question before she gets an idea. "Because what if you get hurt and I can't hear you because you're so far away? Or what if you get lost?"

"Oh...okay. I pwomise nod do go doo faw fwom dhe coddage." Kipo promised with a smile which in turn, made Flutershy smile in relief.

"Good girl. Now, how about we read a story?" Fluttrrshy suggested and Kipo jumped for joy.

"Yay! Sdowy dime!" she cheered happily and Fluttershy giggled as she and Kipo walked into the living room.

'I know I can't keep telling her that forever, but it's for her own good if she doesn't let other ponies see her. Espeically them. I also know that Kipo will want to leave the cottage and explore on her own and it breaks my heart thinking about that.' Fluttershy thought to herself as she walked over to the bookshelf while Kipo clambered onto the couch. She found a suitable book to read and walked over to the couch and sat on it as well before her smile grew as Kipo cuddles up to her. 'But for now, I'll enjoy every second of her being part of my life.'
