Fallout Equestria: Wasteland Guardian

While sleeping. Purple had a nightmare of his brother Arsen winning and forcing the wastelanders to do what he wanted and force himself onto mares to carry on his 'legacy.' Purple does believe in ponies being together but Arsen is excluded from that list because the wasteland is nightmarish and doesn't need creatures like him.

Purple woke up and gave Paladin Sapphire a small kiss on the mouth.

"Good night Ms. Heart," said Purple. "Talk to you in the morning."

In the morning eight hours had passed and all of them got up.

Purple yawned and checked his Pipbuck 3000.

"Let's go west," said Purple, "Alright Paladin Sapphire you lead."

They followed Paladin Sapphire with Rocky Road being last in line. It only took a couple of hours and they saw buildings horizons and a huge bridge which was covered with old tank traps and some barbed wires on the bridge.

"Hold up," said Purple. "I smell an ambush coming up. Rocky, Critical. Stay here and if anything happens give us covering fire. Paladin, Starry. With me. If we have to fall back Paladin Sapphire you go first and give me and Starry covering fire and Starry goes after you reach a safe location and I do the same after she goes. Let's get to it."

"Something isn't right," said Critical. "It's too quiet even for our standards."

When they crossed the bridge there was a hiss of a bullet and Purple, Paladin Sapphire, and Starry ran for cover.

"Where did that shot come from?" asked Paladin Sapphire, "Where?"

Purple replied, "We got to get off of this road."

He jumped through a window of a building while Starry and Paladin Sapphire vaulted over it.

Purple looked at his Pipbuck 3000 and noticed the screen had a lot of lines in it and they were wavy which he couldn't rely on due to he didn't know what was going on with it.

"Piece of shit oversized plastic!" exclaimed Starry, "Thought everything back then was made to last, not breakdown while we need it!"

Purple replied, "Back in the Stable I read a book that both sides during the war created machines to create something called 'dead zones' or sometimes called 'Quiet Zones.' It more or less kills or stops radio or some kind of transmission or something like that from getting out or coming in."

Both Paladin Sapphire and Starry had no idea what he said because they didn't have the same luxury of growing up in a stable like Purple. He had an extensive amount of knowledge to learn from and try not to repeat the same mistakes of the past only for Arsen and Purple to have a war with nopony to break it up.

While Purple was trying to fix his Pipbuck, Paladin Sapphire looked at Purple's flank and noticed his cutie mark and it has something else and in order, it's an M3 fighting knife going straight down, a number two pencil, and a .30-06 rifle.

They followed Purple who went to the second story and hid without making a shadow.

"EQUESTRIAN SOLDIERS!" said someone over a PA or loudspeaker system, "COME OUT WITH YOUR HOOVES UP! OR WE WILL FORCE YOU OUT AND EXECUTE YOU!"

"Equestrian soldiers?" Purple said, "High chance of Zebra ghouls from the war days."

They kept on crawling and had to time it right and jumped across into another house.

"COME OUT AND PLAY!" said a Zebra ghoul, "WE WON'T HURT YOU!"

They hid underneath a few tables lined up behind each other and it felt like their faces were right on each other's butts. They even held their breaths as three Zebra ghouls came in and walked by them not knowing that they were underneath them.

Purple got out and drew his combat knife and held it with his wing and used his cybernetic wing and placed it over the Zebra's mouths and sliced them from ear to ear.

"Zebra Carbines," said Purple. "Let's start some fires!"

Starry and Paladin Sapphire picked up some Zebra Assault Carbines and went on their way playing hide and seek with the Zebra ghouls.

"EQUESTRIAN SOLDIERS!" said a Zebra ghoul, "MY PATIENCE IS RUNNING OUT! EITHER SURRENDER NOW OR THE CIVILIANS HERE DIE!"

"Damn we're running out of time now," said Paladin Sapphire. "We need to save these ponies or they'll die!"

Purple didn't know what to do until he hatched an idea in his mind.

"Let's free the population of this place," said Purple. "And turn them against the Zebra's. After all, strength in numbers."

They came across a locked room and Purple had to lockpick it and they had to break the necks of the Zebra ghoul soldiers.

Purple was able to get the door opened and saw seven ponies, four stallions and three mares.

"Hello, I'm Purple," said Purple. "We're here to free you. Does anypony have any injuries? Are any of you hurt?"

None of them were hurt but they were scared and Purple gave them the Zebra assault carbines they took.

"Are there any more captured ponies?" asked Starry, "If so we need to know to free them."

A mare replied, "Yes there are. There's seven being held in the old fire station, twelve being held in the old police station. and ten being held in the old clinic. But our main three guards are being held at three separate farmhouses a small ways out of town."

Paladin Sapphire replied, "We'll go get them."

The three left with the group still in the closet and they had to stay indoors and if they went outdoors they would've been lit up by the Zebra ghouls and killed within seconds if not minutes. But they heard a loud mechanical sound and all of them peeked out of the same window and saw a moving metallic vehicle.

"Shit," said Purple. "That's an A-43 Heavy tank! The three machine guns can tear up anypony and its 88mm cannon has enough punch to scare away the Steel Rangers. With a cannon like that nobuilding is safe in town. If we could get in contact with Honey Cake and request the Typhoon with its energy cannons on the side and top it would destroy it. Or the tank would destroy it. Either way we're stuck with it for the time being. Just don't go outside."

In the old police station it wasn't guarded on the first floor and had easy access to the basement where the cells were at and Purple used the old cell keys and opened the cell doors.

"Hello, I'm Purple," said Purple. "We're here to free you, are any of you injured? If not, we need you to launch an attack on the Zebra's soon."

Starry went to go find the armory and she opened the door and it was stocked with shotguns and assault rifles. They were armed and waited for the single to come as the trio went to release the others and armed them up.

Unknown to the Zebra's that the captured town citizens were relocated on their own accord to stay hidden.

At a farmhouse.

Purple, Paladin Sapphire, and Starry stormed it and it was excellent for Purple's IF-37 Police Shotgun; it was close range. But they noticed it was empty so they decided to search the small barn which they did and noticed it was stocked with barrels full of wine. They entered the basement and found a couple of the town's guard's tied up and they freed them.

Purple healed them and they got their weapons, went back to town via a shortcut and hid. Before they could run off they told Purple, Paladin Sapphire, and Starry shortcuts and hidden paths to the other two farm houses to free the other captured town guards.

They did that and freed the other seven town guards who got their weapons and got healed because of Purple and they went back to town.

Back in town.

They took positions up on the tallest rooms on the brick buildings but they noticed a sniper in the tower of the cathedral of Princess Luna. The Zebra's destroyed everything referring to Princess Luna.

"Need to take that sniper out," said Purple. "Or we'll all die real quick."

When the heavy tank passed under them that's when the citizens of the town dropped Molotov cocktails catching it on fire and blowing it up. Purple switched to his 7.62mm Battle rifle and killed the sniper in three headshots.

Most of the ruined buildings were excellent against the Zebra's because their enchanted Zebra Assault Carbines bullets couldn't hurt them. Unless they were actually shot and killed.

The Zebra's weren't inexperienced and were to prevent getting killed and used old military war tactics against them. Not knowing they're dealing with old Zebra commandos.

The town's residents, town guards, and the gang had better cover and better weapons and the Zebra commandos were quickly put down. That's because there wasn't a lot of cover in the streets below.

Down on the streets.

"I've seen that uniform before," said Purple.

Paladin Sapphire replied, "Where? A dream?"

Purple replied, "Nope. Back in the Stable. The Zebra's had a few special forces units. What we fought was called Saddle Saddlebred or SS for short. They Were more skilled than the average Zebra Infantry soldier and carried different weapons. The average Zebra back during the war carried a Zebra Assault Carbine, 7.92mm rifles, 9x19mm Submachine Guns, and the 7.92 Storm Rifle. They were deadly and I mean deadly just one platoon of them can wipe out two companies of Equestrian soldiers.

"They didn't favor stealth-like normal Zebra soldiers but engaged head-on and eighty-nine out of eleven they would win. What I mean is that 89% of the time they would win and eleven percent they would lose. Not even my ancestors, my six-time great grandfather Private Shocking Taser who was a rifle pony, five-time great-grandfather through sperm donation by Sergeant Major Purple Masonry and Staff Sergeant Hazel Artist and they were commandos."

They were interested in Purple's story about his knowledge of the pre-war days due to the reading and education he got from the Stable. But he didn't want to tell them at the moment
