Those paper shuffling jackasses in Canterlot, Lieutenant Oasis Nature thought, I'd put in a request for every type of ammo and I get a piece of paper that said, "Sorry the EAF cannot afford your request at the moment." It's my ass on the line all the time and I keep getting scolded for having my platoon use Zebra weapons or scavenge ammo off of dead Equestrians. Fuck'em but I can't wait until I can go home to see my wife, our son, and our three daughters.

Lieutenant Oasis pulled out a photograph of his bubblegum pink unicorn wife and their newborn son that was from a long time ago. When he last saw them was when their son was a toddler now he's thirteen almost fourteen.

He wanted to go home to have a normal life. His wife's kids didn't know who he is and his daughters were almost pre-teens but they never met their father. His wife was thinking about either staying faithful and wait until his return or get a divorce and find somepony else.

Lieutenant Oasis placed a cigarette into his mouth and lit it with a metal flip lighter he only smokes because of the stress of the war not adding yesterday he saw his old marefriend and her head was blown off like somepony trying to pop a zit while they were having small chat catching up on what they've been doing. He had a job of a bricklayer, his ex had a job as a sous chef.

Lieutenant Oasis walked up to a group of Nineteen Privates and asked who are they with. The Alicorn told him that they were all his new rookies and they introduced themselves to him even though he heard enough names to write a book on the mares, stallions, and non-binary ponies he had under his platoon.

"Well welcome to the fucking worst place in the world," said Lieutenant Oasis. "I've seen ponies shot, stabbed, bayoneted, gassed, choked, shot, torn to shreds, blown to pieces, crushed, ran over, gutted like a fish, strangled, and so on. The list would be long. So don't expect me to hold your hoof and don't expect to come out alive."

Master Sergeant Jewel Cookie approached and asked what their objective is.

"We got three," said Lieutenant Oasis Nature, "First we take the town of Alchemy, punch a hole in the Zebra Defensive Line called 'Legate Sorcery,' and take a damn hill. I'm not going to lie but I expect not a lot of us will walk away from this battle. So I expect all of you to write your loved ones now and mail them now. There's a chance and I mean a big Luna damn chance you won't get a chance to do so. So do it now we move out in ten minutes."

Hardly any of the recruits took him seriously even though he been their since the day after his and his wife's son was born. But he did have a dream last night of him taking his wife out to dinner and buying her the biggest dinner he could afford on a bricklayer and officer's salary.

"I wasn't expecting a rude officer," said Pvt Lavender Moonlight. "But I wasn't expecting Prince Charming. Maybe he'll mellow out when he gets to know us better."

"ALRIGHT MAGOTS!" yelled Sergeant First Class Magic Shot, "FALL IN!"

Everyone fell into an organized box square formation.

"LAVENDER, GIZMO, BLUEBERRY PIE," yelled Sergeant First Class Magic Shot, "YOU'RE WITH ME!"

Master Sergeant Jewel Cookie replied, "Stone, Apple pie. Harmony, Brilliant, Cold, Candied, Sprout, Chocolate, Lunar! You're with me! Fall in damn it!"

Sergeant Rose replied, "Rocky, Aroura Skies, Sweet Cloud, you're with me!"

Staff Sergeant Boreal replied, "Aroura, Chocolate Fury, Lunar Harmony, Mythic Arrow, Ruby Chocolate. You're with me and the rest of Charlie Squad."

Warrant Officer Parchment replied, "Virtue, Jade, Velvet, and everyone else. You're with me, No lollygagging either."

The new rookies looked at each other knowing that Sergeant First Class Magic Shot is a hardass and has no indoor voice.

They joked around and thought the war was all fun and games but not Tartarus on Equss.

Two hours later.

The town of Alchemy lay in ruins but the Equestrian Artillery bombarded it to weaken the Zebra forces but they didn't find a single corpse. They went into a ruined brick building which was unidentified what kind it was.

It started to rain more Equestrian soldiers arrived to fortifiy the town. Lt Oasis Nature's platoon dug in in and around the building.

When reinforcements arrived they were better defended. Soon a loud whistle and saw a wave of Zebra's charging right at them through the mud.

Private Lavender readied his .30-06 Semi-automatic rifle and fired at the Zebra's and the Zebra's fired their weapons.

"For Princess Luna. For Ms. Apple Jubilee," said Private Lavender. "And for Equestria!"

"What are you a type one eagle lander?" asked Private Jade, "A patriotic nutcase?"

Private Lavender replied, "A type one and I love my country. Just a Seventeen year old serving his coun..."

Private Lavender got shot by a Zebra with a double-barreled shotgun and twelve pellets hit him right in his face.

Private Lavender a seventeen-year-old, was jJust a seventeen-year-old from Fillydelphia and had a wife because his marefriend was pregnant with their foal and was married with a shotgun wedding.

Private Jade fired the .45 Auto Submachine Gun M1 she had but she saw an armored Zebra armed with a flamethrower. So she opened fire and fired the thirty-round magazine before reloading.

It took a lot of bullets from the platoon to take the Zebra down but they went back to fighting the Zebras.

"Damn gun!" exclaimed Private Virtue, "Unjam damn it!"

Private Virtue unjammed his 9mm SMG but he and a Zebra riflepony stood and stared at each other both aiming down their sights and both firing at the same time both landing headshots.

Private Virtue, a simple hard-working farmer son of a farmer who just wanted to gain his parent's approval but ran off to fight to protect his country. He was only sixteen and he lied about his age to join.

Private Velvet was on a water-cooled .30 Cal machine gun in a tower and mowed down the Zebra's running across the field but there was an explosion that made her disembark and it was destroyed but she equipped her Trench gun.

Pvt Velvet fired her trench gun which has five twelve gauge shells in the tube and one chambered but she reloaded she hoof-loaded incendiary shells into the shotgun.

She turned around and a Zebra riflepony bayoneted her in the heart killing her.

Private Velvet Gizmo was just a fifteen-year-old, a fifteen-year-old who dropped out of high school and joined the Army to run away from her abusive stepparents. Her biological father an Earth pony stallion was killed at Margarita Harbor on the Battleship Mareland and he drowned to death. Her biological mother a unicorn mare put her up for adoption when she was just a three-year-old so she could avenge her husband's death only for her to die from Chlorine gas. Doesn't help her mother was in the same platoon as her.

Private Applepie had a Balk Automatic Rifle battle saddle and fired it at the Zebra's and she was in pure horror because of the war. Shrapnel from a fragmentation grenade blew up and some of the shrapnel flew into Private Applepie's throat.

Private Applepie a hardworking welder from Manehattan who lived with her lesbian partner, a hard-working mare who was only twenty-one years old. But her lover well wife worked for the Four Stars transportation company and they broke up because Applepie believed that Equestria would win the war while her lover believed that the Zebra's would win the war not adding her lover's company believed in that as well.

Private Blueberry fired his 5.56mm Assault Rifle at the Zebra's but he moved up and everypony in the platoon heard a whistling sound and a Zebra mortar round landed right on Private Blueberry.

Private Blueberry was a seventeen-year-old stallion, who wanted his parents' approval but they constantly kept punishing him even with things were out of his hooves I mean control. He dropped out of high school and ran away from home and joined the Army.

Private Stone Kicker fell down but she got up and picked up her .45 Auto Submachine Gun M1 but she fired her submachine gun at the Zebra's.

Out of the remainder of the rookies, Pvt Stone Kicker was the most ambitious and bravest. When she left the ruined building a heavily armored Zebra with a water-cooled 7.92mm machine gun tore a lot of holes and turned her into swiss cheese.

Private Stone Kicker a very bright mare a eighteen-year-old mare. She wanted to be an engineer but she was drafted into a war she didn't believe in.

Pvt Gizmo Bow fired her .223 rifle battle saddle at the Zebra's until he had to reload and she switched over to her .45 Auto Pistol only for a Zebra soldier to slice her neck with a sword.

Pvt Gizmo Bow was a mechanic from Los Unicornia, a twenty-one-year-old mare who left her boyfriend behind but she wanted to serve as a mechanic in an armored division, not as a riflemare. Her boyfriend didn't learn of her death; he died two days later in the worst naval disaster when an Equestrian destroyer sank the Tiberius, an Equestrian "V-boat" sub.

Pvt Aurora Gusher climbed inside an Equestrian tank.

"Push on we need to help turn the tide," said an Earth pony mare tank commander. "We need to prevent them from overrunning out G.I.'s! Shoot, Blow up, Run over anything that has stripes!"

Another tank commander replied, "We're going to burn them. Burn, hahaha!"

That pony is insane! Pvt Aurora Gusher thought That pony deserves to be in a mental hospital or be lobotomized!

The tank moved and the turret rotated to the left and Pvt Aurora used the coaxial .30 caliber machine gun and shot the Zebra soldiers in the open field. The 90mm cannon scared him as the commander fired an HE round.

The tank moved and Pvt Aurora Gusher fired the machine gun like it was nothing, mowing down the Zebra's. He did feel bad about killing them but he knew he was taking fathers and mothers away from families.

The tank moved on and it crushed several barbed wire fences but Pvt Aurora saw an Equestrian tank driving on a dirt road with a few Equestrian soldiers galloping behind it only for the tank to blow up and the soldiers to die.

"SHIT!" said the tank commander, "INCOMING!"

The tank blew up.

Pvt Aurora Gusher was a nieve unicorn, a simple naive unicorn from Maretime Bay with his half brother Aurora Spring. He wanted to be a politician but followed in his half older brother's hoof steps and joined the army.

Private Cold Ink fired his Balk Automatic Rifle at the charging Zebra's and he was killing with pride. He sadistically enjoyed killing the Zebra's acting like nothing was wrong and thinks it's all fun and games.

A Zebra commando came out of nowhere and jumped onto Pvt Cold Ink's back and pulled his Fragmentation Grenade pink but by the time Cold Ink realized what the Zebra commando mare did he kamikaze himself into a group of Zebra soldiers.

Pvt Cold Ink hailed from Ponyville, went from Foster home from foster home each one worst than the last but something snapped in his brain and murdered his twenty-seventh foster family but raped his foster sister more times than anypony would want to admit. But he forced his foster sister to be his bride… Slave wife before the wasteland and yes that means breeding slave as well. Nopony would cry at his funeral and no the Equestrian Army didn't bury him with honors.

Warrant Officer Parchment had a Jumper rifle and he fired at the Zebra's and even bayoneted a few Zebras. But he didn't last long as a Zebra with a Zebra Shotgun fired it once and the Dragon's breath shell caught him on fire.

Warrant Officer Parchment was born a mare but later in life she became a he. He worked in a textile mill in Los Unicornia until leaving to fight in the war. He had no special somepony.

Only Lieutenant Oasis Nature, Master Sgt Jewel Cookie, Staff Sgt Boreal Carrot, Sgt Rose Heart, Technical Sgt Aurora Skies, and Privates Rocky Evergreen, Magic Shot, Sweet Cloud, Mythic Burn, Lunar Harmony, Harmony Arrow, Chocolate Fury, Jade Raddist, Sprout Rock, Candied Buttered, Ruby Chocolate, and Brilliant Fleet survived the whole ordeal.

Lt Oasis told the Privates in his squad that it won't be all fun and games and told them now they move on to the defensive line. Now, defensive line Legate Sorcery which is said to be impossible to penetrate because of the fact that it had machine guns, mortars, artillery, Anti-Tank guns, flamethrowers, and so on.

The Steel Rangers would help as well as the Shadowbolts and Equestrian Air Force but the Zebra's took steps ahead even having bunkers that can be placed on lockdown in case the Equestrians use Gas such as phosgene, chlorine, or mustard gas which was mostly used in retaliation if the Zebra's used their Pink Cloud on the Equestrians.

Half an hour later.

The rest of the platoon looked up at the sky and saw hundreds of pegasi, fighter-bombers, and both strategic and tactical bombers with the latter two dropping their bombs on miles and miles of the defensive line.

"I guess they poked the hornet's nest," said Lt Oasis.

The sky started to be filled with tracer bullets and flak rounds and both are extremely dangerous to the pegasi even if they were in power armor.

"Go get them, brother," said Aroura Skies, "Go fuck them up!"

The Equestrians, Mercenary Griffons and volunteers from Stalliongrad and the Crystal Empire charged the defensive line and got mowed down literally even blown up but the Zebra's had pre-sighted the whole area with artillery, mortars and even gunfire.

An explosion knocked down Lt. Oasis and he couldn't hear, blurred vision, muffled hearing and everything was moving slow. He also could hear a faint ringing noise.

He saw his squad taking cover behind some dragon's teeth tank traps with none of them wanting to move but there's not a lot of cover between them and the bunkers; it's tank traps to prevent tanks and Steel Rangers from getting through.

Lt Oasis looked over at a unicorn soldier who went over and picked up a right frontal leg and ran over to a destroyed Equestrian tank.

They were picked off one by one and what the Equestrians don't know is that the Zebra's have the deadliest snipers they have there picking them off.

"What do we do, Lieutenant!" exclaimed and asked a Equestrian soldier, "What the fuck do we do!"

Lt Oasis replied, "Move up! You'll have a better chance of survival by moving than sitting still!"

As the soldier was about to move and when she got up her head popped like a zit.

Lt Oasis went to his squad or what was left moved when Lt. Oasis did and he made sure they got closer and closer to the bunkers.

Pvt. Magic Shot placed a rifle grenade on his .30-06 bolt-action rifle and fired the HE rifle grenade through the slot the explosion killed four Zebra's on machine guns. But four more Zebra's remounted them.

Private's Brilliant Fleet and Mythic Burn were trained as combat engineers and they had a few sticks of dynamite which they tied together and placed. They both lit the fuse and they got away. After a few seconds there was a big explosion making a gap the Equestrians charged through even though a lot got shot at and killed.

Pvt. Mythic Burn got killed in the blast only leaving his head.

Mythic Burn was an electrical and civil engineer, hIs father was the architect who designed Tenpony Tower. He tried to impress his father but his father hated him for being an engineer over an architect. So he thought he would be better off in the army, not as a civilian engineer. Of course, he had a fiancee who he had shipped to Stalliongrad due to the fact that she was a Zebra, and didn't want her to be taken away.

The rest charged ahead but they had to clear objectives to take the defensive line out of action permanently.

Lt Oasis, Master Sgt Jewel, Staff Sgt Boreal, Sgt. Rose, Technical Sgt Aurora, Pvt Rocky, Pvt Magic Shot, Pvt Sweet, Pvt Lunar, Pvt Harmony, Pvt Chocolate, Pvt Jade, Pvt Sprout, Pvt Candied, Pvt Brilliant, and Pvt Ruby pressed on.

They moved up and killed the Zebra's even though they looted ammo and weapons off the Zebra's to have weapons other than a pistol and a knife not adding most of them were out of ammo with their primary weapons.

The rest of the Equestrian forces went to clear out the tunnels connecting the bunkers and to destroy the artillery guns and anti-tank guns in the casemates while the rest of the platoon went to destroy some Zebra anti-air guns.

At the first anti-air cannon.

Sergeant Rose Heart placed a grenade into the cannon but the grenade went off too early.

Sgt Rose Heart was a twenty-one year old mare who was a stenographer, typist, and security guard, she worked three jobs to support her very ill mother who was in the hospital and with mounting debt from the medical bills. More Equestrians showed up and took over the role-taking out the Zebra's AA cannons while Lt Oasis and the remainder of his platoon went on to take the hill and capture a Zebra Legate named Sorcery a Zebra mare who's extremely deadly with any weapon and in hoof to hoof combat.

They encountered Legate Sorcery. She was intimidating standing there by herself and everyonel but Lt Oasis ran away. The two were face to face and Legate Sorcery knocked Lt Oasis out in one punch.

Lieutenant Oasis Nature awakened Legate Sorcery and gave him a very painful hoofjob.

"I've been keeping my eye on you," said Legate Sorcery. "You've been busier for the past thirteen years. Well, I've been admiring you. I got a proposition for you. How about you stay with me? The Zebras attacked the hill and the Equestrians held it when Pegasi came when they were nearly overrun but the rest of the platoon didn't make it.

Pvt Rocky Evergreen was a simple working-class mare whose parents were miners. They died in a mining accident so she joined the military she didn't have much.

Technical Sergeant Aurora Skies, she survived the war and she was one of the first few to establish the Grand Pegasus Enclave. She had four daughters and three sons and she's the six times great-grandmother of our own Rainy Night and her twin sister,

Privates Ruby Chocolate, Candied Buttered, Sprout Rock, Jade Raddist, Chocolate Fury, Harmony Arrow, Lunar Harmony, Sweet Cloud, & Magic Shot were all friends, fresh out of high school wanted to explore so they joined the army for adventure only to fight.

Staff Sergeant Boreal Carrot she was a troublemaker and a judge gave her an offer to either join the army and her sentence would be considered served or put in a federal penitentiary so she joined the army.

Master Sergeant Jewel Cookie she well when the war ended by the Balefire bombs she created an Raider gang in Los Unicornia made of former members of the Equestrian Armed Forces. She wasn't allowed by the other pegasi in the GPE because she denounced them and was the first Dashite.

"Hey Purple," said Rainy Night, "Actually Rainbow Dash was the first Dashite. Then Scootaloo,"

Scoots followed her and the term came from Rainbow Dash but Scootaloo objected to the isolation of the GPE. So they branded and marked her for going underneath the cloud layers."

"Where did the blue one go?" asked Flared Blizzard.

Rainy replied, "I'm here."

"Not you," said Flared Blizzard, "The other blue one."

Rocky replied, "The one that hangs out with Purple all the time. The one I called 'Ms. Living gasbag.' That one?"

"She isn't feeling well so Critical walked with her to the doctor," said Lavender. "I think she's pregnant because she told me she missed her period, started to feel tender, feeling nausea and fatigue. Those are the signs of pregnancy. Well I was taught those were the signs of pregnancy. But she wants a second opinion from another medical specialist. And I support her decision wanting to see another medical specialist."

Rainy replied, "Well this is the right ship for medical. There's Corpsponies for the GPE Marines, Medicine officers, Critical care doctors, Pulmonary disease doctors, gastroenterologists, cardiologists, urologists, dermatologists, and other types as well."

Purple went to go check on Sapphire Heart the doctor's door was locked for privacy reasons. After all there's two thousand and six hundred Pegasi on board not including Grand Pegasus Enclave Army, Marines, and Special Forces soldiers, pilots and officers.

"So Purple," said Flared Blizzard, "What happened to the Lieutenant you were telling us about?"

Purple replied, "Legate Sorcery kidnapped Lt Oasis's family and brought them to a deserted island and lived in peace and harmony. Well not really where he and his family wanted to go home and try to live a normal life but really couldn't. But Oasis was the only stallion until his son got done with puberty where he bred three hundred and four Zebra mares."

"How many died at the battle?" asked Hailing Night.

Purple replied, "One thousand and four hundred Equestrians eight thousand and three hundred Zebra's."
