Assasination (Part 2)

"UMPH!" Twilight gasped suddenly, as the iron ball chained to her feet, and herself, landed on impact with the bottom of the sea.

The heavy weight of the ball crashed into the sandy ground, kicking up a large cloud of sand from the impact, as well as sinking. Twilight, from the speed at which she was being sunk, fell as well, knees bent toward her. Her entire body was thrown onto the sand, while her long hair fluttered over her head.

"HH-HPH-BHLB-!"

So... there she was. Trapped at the bottom of the sea.

Twilight huffed past her gag as she settled into a hovering position. She began to quickly scan the area with her eyes wide and her hair flowing.

Behind her was the base of the cliff, and in all other directions was an endless blue sea and sand dunes. Nothing could be seen that could help her out of this.

"GGMMPPHHH" she growled.

Her lungs burned with a mad desire for oxygen, and she could barely see in the dark. A blue hue of the sea faded to the distant surface, where the oxygen was.

The area where Twilight had sunk was deep. Really deep.

She had no time to lose.

With half her face hidden by the cloth that gagged her, Twilight looked around her with wide, terrified eyes. Blind, empty panic etched on her face as she tried to see anything, anyone that might help her...

But she couldn't see anything. Just endlessly sand everywhere.

Her eyes began to roll giddily from the lack of air. Twilight's face began to blush a deep, sick crimson.

This was horrible. This was no way to die... oh, she wanted the lamp... she needed it.

Narrowing her eyes in determination, she gazed out at the distant surface. She just needed to keep trying.

Clenching her fists and bracing her aching muscles, she clenched her body for a hard, challenging thrust...

"H-HPPHH... UMMMPPHH!"

With all her strength, she pushed herself through the water as far as she could.

And once more… there was the tinkling.

The horrible iron ball stopped her.

"MMMMPHHH!"

Her eyes widened and her hair flowed in all directions upwards. Her own knees, by her recoil, had been forced back into a bent position, with her chest touching her knees. Behind her, the weight of the great iron ball had held her back and she sank deep into the muddy sand pooled around her.

Twilight's gagged face looked back at her sinking weight.

"MMF…" she growled, as little bubbles passed through her gag, staring at the heavy ball.

She saw how well she was stuck, as her shackled ankles tugged lightly on the iron ball's chains; trapped in the muddy sand.

"UGH! UGH! MMMHH!" she howled in effort.

His ankles burned, her shackles digging hard into her flesh. Her blood began to thicken with the salt water. Twilight's heart was beating in overdrive.

"HNNGG! NO! NO! HMMPH!" she cried terribly.

She shivered completely in horror, refusing to give up as the sea overwhelmed her.

She hadn't signed up for this! This wasn't fair! She hadn't done anything wrong...

She couldn't die like this. She had to break free, expose Adagio's plan, save Flash...

She had to do it...

The heavy iron ball dragged roughly behind her, splashing loudly as clouds of sand flew around it. Every time the young woman managed to lift it a little, instantly the weight of the iron ball pushed her back and she sank deeper into the sand.

It was just… too heavy.

Twilight made one last desperate move that would hopefully move the weight quite a bit. She lurched in one direction, with his own chest touching her knees, and then she pushed up with all her strength.

"RRRRRRGGGGHHHH!"

Her body jerked from the movement, but she dislodged the ball from the dune… and sank deeper into the sand.

Twilight began to slow down.

This didn't do any good.

The handcuffs still bound her. Her gag still tightened around her mouth. The iron ball weighed her to the bottom of the sea.

There is no escape. No hope.

She had tried with all her might, but nothing would prevent her death. Her fate was sealed as soon as Adagio saw through her insignificant disguise.

Slowly succumbing to nausea, she moaned with desire from the surface.

"NO... N-UU-HUMPH..."

His last bubbles of air rose from his mouth. She just couldn't do it. Twilight started to sink into the water.

"GOMPPHH... UUHHMMMMPPHH..."

Taking one last glimpse of the surface before her eyes closed forever, the last of her stale air bubbling away from her sweet lips and out of her gag. Her head and hair turned downwards.

Twilight fell, collapsing onto her side, hips, even one cheek, exhausted.

Defeated.

Twilight's heart slowed and her eyes became blurry slits, rolling toward her skull.

"Flash... I'm sorry..."

And so... Adagio Dazzle won.

The current gently rocked her chained body and her hair rippling and flowing through the water.

She seemed calm, almost asleep.

Twilight Sparkle would lie there, hidden in the depths, still attached to the metal that killed her.

The palace guards would cover his tracks on his way back to Equestria.

And the sea below the cliff would continue to ripple and shimmer, giving no sign of the cruel deeds that had unfolded beneath the waters.

The dim candlelight cast a yellow glow on the stone walls. Adagio looked at the crystal ball with narrowed, relaxed eyes.

Now there was no one to stop her.

The girl had been pushed out of the way, and the lamp was now his.

The plans he had worked on for so long could finally become a brutal and ruthless reality.

Adagio turned to the golden lamp beside her, smiling as she gazed at her reflected face with a kind of sadistic pleasure.

"It won't be long, my servant... prepare to meet your new master" she growled deep in her throat as she watched Twilight's body bobbing in the water through the crystal ball "Thank you for your help, Twilight Sparkle… now, I have everything I need".
