It has been a few days since Sapphire and I have moved into our new home. Sapphire has been working at Rarity helping her make dresses for some of her clients while I decided to take a job at Applejack farm. Today me and Twilight were helping Applejack with some farm work.

"Thank you two kindly, for helping me out. I bet Big McIntosh I could get all these Golden Delicious in the barn by lunchtime. If I win, he's gonna walk down Stirrup Street in one of Granny's girdles. [chuckles]" Applejack said laughing a little.

"No problem Applejack it's what friends are for not to mention I do work here with you." I say as I carried my basket full of Apples.

"Yeah and I'm glad the goal is lunchtime." Replied Twilight. "All this hard work is making me hungry."

"You and me both Twilight." I added.

"I know, right?" Says Spike.

"What are you talking about Spike all you did was sit on Twilight back all morning while the three of us did all the work." I say turning to the young dragon.

"Exactly." Replied Spike. "You three were taking so long, I missed snack time." As soon as he says that both mine and Twilight stomach started growling.

"[Laughs nervously] I guess we better get some food." Twilight says before Spike pulled out a huge red apple from Twilight basket. "Oh spike! that looks delicious!" She says before Spike ate the whole apple.

"Dude not cool the least you could've done was share it with us!" I say not pleased that Spike ate the whole apple by himself.

"What?" He says before burping causing a scroll to appear.

"It's a letter from Princess Celestia." Twilight stated before Spike took the letter and read it out loud.

"Here ye, here ye. Her grand royal highness Princess Celestia of equestria, is pleased to announce the grand galloping gala to be held in the magnificent capital city of Canterlot on the 21st day of...[groans] yada yada yada." Spike says as he skipped some of the letter before saying. "Cordially extends an invitation to Twilight Sparkle plus one guest."

"The grand galloping gala!" I hear Twilight and Applejack says in unison after Spike read the Letter.

"I'm sorry the grand galloping what now?" I asked confused.

"The grand galloping gala is the biggest party that happens only 1 night a year!" Replied Twilight before Spike burped again making two golden tickets appear.

"Look -- two tickets!"

"Wow! Great!" Twilight says happily. "I've never been to the gala. Have you, Spike?" She asks the young dragon.

"No and I plan to keep it that way." Replied Spike. "I don't want any of that girly, frilly, froufrou nonsense."

"So this grand galloping gala is a very important fancy party huh?" I asked as Spike nodded. "Interesting never been to one of those before."

"I'd love to go. Land sakes, if I had an apple stand set up, ponies would be chowin' our tasty vittles 'til the cows came home. Do you have any idea how much business I could drum up for Sweet Apple Acres?" Applejack asks as she starts imagining herself at the gala. "Why, with all that money, we could do a heap of fixin' up 'round here. We could replace that saggy old roof, and Big McIntosh could replace that saggy old plow." She says as her visioning ends. "Why, I'd give my left hind leg to go to that gala."

"Oh. Well, in that case, would you like to --." Twilight says before being cut off when Rainbow crashed into her.

"Are we talking about the grand galloping gala?" Asked Rainbow.

"Rainbow Dash! You told me you were too busy to help me harvest apples. What were you busy doing? Spyin'?" Applejack asked glaring at her.

"No. I was busy...napping." Rainbow replied pointing to the trees she was napping in.

"Odd how come I didn't see you napping there?" I asked confused on how I didn't notice the rainbow maned mare on the tree before.

"Yeah well I just happened to hear that Twilight here have an extra ticket." Replied Rainbow.

"Yeah, but..." Was all Twilight could say before being interrupted by Rainbow again.

"YES! This is so awesome. The Wonderbolts perform at the Grand Galloping Gala every year! I can see it now." She says as she imagine herself at the gala impressing her idols.

"Everyone would be watching the sky. Their eyes riveted on the Wonderbolts, but then in would fly Rainbow Dash!" Rainbow said as she was visioning about the Wonderbolts. "I would draw their attention with my Super Speed Strut. Then, I would mesmerize 'em with my Fantastic Filly Flash. And for my grand finale, the Buccaneer Blaze! The ponies would go wild!" She says. "The Wonderbolts would insist that my signature moves be incorporated into their routine, and then welcome me as their newest member." She says as she finished visioning.

"Don't you see, Twilight?" Rainbow asks. "This could be my one chance to show 'em my stuff." She says. "You got to take me!"

"Hold on Rainbow, Applejack asked Twilight for the ticket first the least you can do is let Twilight pick who gets the ticket because it's her choice."

"Lillian right girls I get to decide who gets it so whoever has the best reason to go should get the ticket, don't you think? Asked Twilight.

The two ponies both started giving their reasons on why they should both go making Twilight decision to pick harder. "Oh, my. Those were all pretty good reasons, aren't they?" She asks before hearing her stomach growl. "[Laughs nervously] listen to that."

"It seems like someone hungry." I say before hearing my own stomach growling. "[Chuckles] I guess I'm hungry too."

"Yeah hungry, I don't know about you girls but I can't make important decision on a empty stomach." Twilight says before her and Spike left to go get something to eat.

"Hey Applejack I'll take these Apples to the barn than leave for the day to get a bit to eat." I say picking up the baskets.

"Sure thing Lillian you take the day off." Applejack says before her and Rainbow started to hoofwrestle.

After I put the apples away I left the farm and head straight to sugar cube corner meeting Twilight there. "Hey Twilight." I called out to here.

"Lillian what are you doing here your not following me because you want the ticket too?" She asks.

"Of course not I was coming to Sugar Cube Corner to get something to eat." I say walking up to the door of the bakery only for it to swing open with Pinkie jumping out and crashing into Twilight.

After Pinkie crashed into Twilight, Spike had accidentally dropped the tickets causing them to fall on Pinkie face. "Aah! Bats! Bats on my face!" She says running around screaming.

"Pinkie they're not bats just tickets." I say making her stop before she ran up to us.

"Wait tickets?" She asks looking at the tickets that were one the floor before gasping. "These aren't tickets to the grand galloping gala?!" She asks in excitement.

"Let me guess you want to go because it's a party?" I asked.

"Yes but it's not just any party its the biggest party ever!" She says before imagining herself at the gala. "It's the most amazing incredible tremendous super-fun wonderful terrifically humongous party in all of Equestria! I've always always always wanted to go!" Pinkie said as she started to sing.

For Pinkie...With decorations like streamers and fairy-lights and pinwheels and piñatas and pin-cushions. With goodies like sugar cubes and sugar canes and sundaes and sun-beams and sarsaparilla. And I get to play my favorite-est of favorite fantabulous games like Pin the Tail on the Pony!"

Wheee!!" Pinkie finished singing her song.

"Oh, thank you, Twilight!" She says bouncing around happily. "It's the most wonderful gift ever."

"Um Pinkie Twilight wasn't here to give you the ticket." I say as Spike picked up the tickets, but as soon as he did Rarity arrived with Sapphire and the moment she saw the tickets she gasped happily.

"Are those what I think they are?" She asks.

"Yes they're tickets to the grand galloping gala." I answered.

"Tickets to the what now?" Sapphire asks walking up to us.

"Twilight received an invitation from the Princess to go to some fancy party and was given two tickets one for her and the other for a plus one." I answered.

"Oh, does that mean that her and Spike are going to the party together?"

"No because Spike doesn't want to go."

"Yeah so Twilight is going to take me instead." Added Pinkie.

"I design ensembles for the gala every year, but I've never had the opportunity to attend. Oh, the society, the culture, the glamour! It's where I truly belong, and where I'm destined to meet him." Rarity said.

"Him!....Who?" Pinkie asked.

"Him." Rarity says before imagining herself at the gala.

"I would stroll through the gala, and everyone would wonder, "Who is that mysterious mare?" They would never guess that I was just a simple pony from little old Ponyville. Why, I would cause such a sensation that I would be invited for an audience with Princess Celestia herself, and the princess would be so taken with the style and elegance that she would introduce me to him!"

"Her nephew the most handsome, eligible unicorn stallion in Canterlot. Our eyes would meet, our hearts would melt. Our courtship would be magnificent. He would ask for my hoof in marriage, and of course I would say, "Yes!!" We would have a royal wedding, befitting a princess, which is [giggles] what I would become upon marrying him, the stallion of my dreams." She says as her vision ends.

"Twilight! I simply cannot believe you would invite Pinkie Pie so she can party and prevent me from meeting my true love." Rarity says upset. "How could you?"

Before Twilight could say anything a bunny came running up to spike before snatching the tickets out of his claws. "Hey!" He called out as the bunny brought the tickets to fluttershy.

"[Gasps] angle, these are perfect."

"Uh, listen guys, I haven't decided who to give the extra ticket to." Twilight says to Pinkie and Rarity.

"You haven't!??" Rarity and Pinkie asks in unison.

"Yes I been saying that for awhile now." I say annoyed that no one had listen to what I been saying.

"Um, excuse me, Twilight, I would just like to ask -- I mean, if it would be alright, if you haven't given it to someone else?" Asked fluttershy as her pet bunny was holding the tickets in its mouth.

"You?!" Rarity asks. "You want to go to the gala?"

"Oh, no." Replied Fluttershy before her bunny thumped on her hoof. "I-I mean, yes or, actually, kind of." She says before imagining herself at the gala. "You see it's not so much the grand galloping gala as it is the wondrous private garden that surrounds the dance. The flowers are said to be the most beautiful and fragrant in all of equestria."

"For the night of the gala and that night alone will they all be in bloom and that's just the flora! Don't get me started on fauna. There's loons and toucans and bitterns, oh, my! Hummingbirds that can really hum and buzzards that can really buzz! Blue jays and red jays and green jays, pink jays and pink flamingos." She says as her vision ends.

"Wow fluttershy it sounds so beautiful!" Sapphire says intrigued by what Fluttershy says.

"Wait just a minute." Rainbow said flying towards us.

"Rainbow Dash! Wait were you following us?" Twilight asked.

"No. I mean, yes. I mean, maybe. Look, it doesn't matter. I couldn't risk a goody-two-shoes like you giving that ticket away to just anybody." Rainbow said.

"Now wait just another minute." Applejack said running behind Rainbow Dash.

"Applejack, were you following us too?" Twilight asked her.

"No. I was followin' this one to make sure she didn't try any funny business. Still trying to take mah ticket." Applejack said pointing at Rainbow.

"Your ticket?" Rainbow asked furious.

"But Twilight's taking me." Pinkie said adding fuel to the fire. Then the girls started to argue over the ticket.

"WILL ALL OF YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP!" I yelled out in anger. "For fuck sakes can't any of you see your making this hard for Twilight to decide who to fucking take with all your god damn bickering your all grown ponies not children so start acting your age and leave so Twilight can make her decision." I say breathing heavily as everyone starts leaving.

"You okay Lillian?" Sapphire asks. "You know how you get when you get mad."

"Yeah I'm fine." I say before catching my breath. "I just hate when others fight over silly little things."

"Thanks for that Lillian I really appreciate that." Twilight says walking over to me and Sapphire.

"It's no problem Twilight, but lets get something to eat I'm kind of hungry."

"Same." Added Sapphire.

"Yeah I agree let's get something to eat together the three of us." Twilight says before walking off to get something to eat with me and Sapphire following behind.

After making it to a restaurant the three of us took a seat while Twilight was having trouble on who to take with her to the gala. "Aw, Lillian, what am I gonna do?" She asks. "All five of our best friends have really good reasons to the gala."

"Yeah Applejack wants to go to make money for her farm, Rainbow wants to go to meet her idols, Pinkie wants to go just to party." I say while Sapphire added.

"And Fluttershy wants to go to see the garden and animals and Rarity wants to go to meet the one she loves."

"It's a really tough decision." I say looking at my menu.

"I'm glad that the two of you haven't asked for the ticket." Twilight says calming down a little.

"I would be lying if I were to say i haven't thought about going." Replied sapphire.

"Same." I added. "But of course we're not going to ask because it'll put more pressure on you deciding on who should go with you." I say as the waiter arrived.

"Have you made your decision?" The waiter asks.

"Yeah I'll like to have a chocolate milkshake." I say as I placed down my menu.

"And I'll like to have strawberry milkshake." Added Sapphire.

"And I would love a daffodil and daisy sandwich." Twilight says as we placed our orders before the waiter left. "Who do you girls think I should give the ticket to?" She asks.

"We can't really help you there Twilight."

"Yeah it's your choice to make Twilight no one else's." Both me and Sapphire says to the lavender unicorn.

"I'm just worried that the other four will be mad at me if I give the ticket to one of them or if I give up my ticket and give it two of them, but than that'll leave three disappointed ponies what if I --." Twilight says before being interrupted when the waiter brought our foods. "Oh, thank you this looks so good." Twilight says as the waiter leaves.

"Ahh that hit the spot." I say as I drank my milkshake.

"You said it sis." Sapphire says drinking her milkshake.

Before Twilight could eat here sandwich a group of ponies started running as the waiter called out. "Um madam's are you going to eat your foods in the rain?" He asks.

"It's not raining." Twilight says before we see that it was raining everywhere except around the three of us. "What's going on?" She asks before looking up.

"Hi there, best friends forever I've ever ever had. Enjoying the sunny weather?" Rainbow asked in a hole in the rain clouds.

"Rainbow Dash, what are you doing?" Twilight asked getting angry.

"Whaddya mean? I just saw the smartest, most generous pony about to get rained on, so I thought I'd kick a hole in the clouds to keep her dry so she could dine in peace, that's all." Rainbow said.

"You're trying to butter up Twi to give you the extra ticket?" I asked.

"Me? No no no, of course not." Rainbow said.

"Uh-huh." Twilight, Sapphire, and I said not believing it.

"Seriously, I'd do it for anypony. [gulp] Heh heh, eh." She said rubbing the back of her head.

"Is that so than why haven't you done it for them?" I asked pointing to the ponies running around in the rain trying to find shelter.

"Rainbow, I am not comfortable accepting unwanted favors, so I'd appreciate it if you close up that rain cloud right now." Twilight said calmly.

"Ugh, fine." Rainbow said closing the hole in the rain cloud.

"That's better." Twilight says as she was about to eat her sandwich before it started pouring down on us.

"Twilight, Sapphire, Lillian it's raining." Rarity said holding a umbrella.

"No, really?" We said sarcastically.

"Come with me before you all catch a cold." She said taking us to her boutique.

After making it to Rarity boutique Twilight shook off all the rain water off of her accidentally getting it all over Rarity. "Heh heh, oops, sorry."

"Oh no, it's quite all right. After all, we are... the best of friends, are we not? And you know what the best of friends do?" Rarity asked getting closer.

"Uh..." Twilight said backing away.

"Makeovers!"

"Um yeah I don't think so I'm not much for makeovers." I say backing away with Twilight.

"Yeah same here." Added Sapphire as she joined me and Twilight.

Before we could escape Rarity used her magic to grab us before putting us all in dresses. "Ugh, Rarity, ow, this really isn't fixing it. I mean, thank you but, ooh, that's too tight." Twilight said as Rarity was pulling on a string on the dress. She finished with the dresses. Twilights was a Victorian blue dress while mine and Sapphire dresses were a rose red and violet purple.

"There. Oh, you three are simply darling!" Rarity said.

"Uh, yeah, it is kinda pretty, isn't it?" Twilight asked.

"I guess this is okay." Agreed Sapphire.

"As much as I like this dress I'm going home because I hate being forced into some thing without permission." I say changing into my regular clothes before leaving as Sapphire does the same before following me back home.

As me and Sapphire were heading back home we saw Twilight and spike running. "Guys why are you running?" Sapphire asks.

"No time to explain run!" Twilight says before we noticed a group of ponies chasing after Twilight and Spike.

"For some reason I blame Pinkie for this." I say as me and Sapphire followed Twilight and Spike.

As the four of us were cornered in a alleyway Twilight lit up her horn before teleporting us to her home. "[Groans] warn us next time your going to do that Twilight." I say feeling a bit dizzy after Twilight teleported us.

"I didn't even know it was gonna happen." She replied back. "Now quick help us lock all the doors and windows!" She says before me and Sapphire help her lock all windows and doors while turning off the lights.

"Whew." The four of us say in unison before the lights get turned on revealing the others.

"Yah!" Screamed Twilight. "I can't decide I just can't decide!" She says upset about all the pressure she's been feeling. "I know it's important to all of you, and I just can't stand to disappoint any of you."

"Yeah and giving her gifts and doing here all these favors for her isn't helping her make her decision any easier." I say standing next to Twilight.

"She wants to make all of you happy but you girls have been putting so much pressure on her that she can't!" Sapphire added.

"Twilight, sugar, I-I didn't mean to put so much pressure on you." Applejack says walking up to Twilight apologizing. "And if it helps, I don't want the ticket anymore you can give it to somepony else I won't feel bad I promise."

"Me too." Added Fluttershy. "I feel just awful that I made you feel so awful."

"And me too!" Added Pinkie. "It's no fun upsetting your friends."

"Twilight, it was unfair of me to try to force you as I did." Added Rarity.

"Yes!" Cheered Rainbow. "That means the ticket is mine!" She says happily before noticing all of us glaring at her. "You know, I haven't perfected my signature moves for the wonderbolts, anyway I don't need that ticket either."

"We all got so gung ho about going to the gala that we couldn't see how un-gung ho we were making you." Applejack says before her and others apologize.

"Spike take a note please." I asked as he did just that.

"Dear Princess Celestia, I've learned that one of the joys of friendship is sharing your blessings, but when there's not enough blessings to go around, having more than just your friends can make you feel pretty awful so, though I appreciate the invitation, I will be returning both tickets to the grand galloping gala." Twilight says surprising everyone. "If my friends can't all go I don't want to go, either."

"Twilight, you don't have to do that." Says Applejack.

"It's already to late Applejack she already made up her mind." Sapphire says.

"Excatly, Spike, you can send the letter now." Twilight says to Spike before he sends the letter away.

"Now you won't get to go to the gala, either." Fluttershy says after Spike sent the letter away.

"It's okay, girls I couldn't possibly enjoy myself without my best friends there with me." Twilight says before we all joined in for a group hug. "So I would rather not go at all." She says while Spike was making gaging gesture before gaging for reals.

"Well, wallop my withers, Spike." Applejack says turning to Spike. "Isn't that just like a boy? Can't handle the least bit of sentiment." She says before Spike burped. "Whoa, nelly!"

After spike burped a letter appeared. "A letter from the princess? That was fast." Twilight says before Spike took the letter.

"My faithful student Twilight, why didn't you just say so in the first place?" Spike says reading the letter before eight tickets pop out. "Eight tickets to the grand galloping gala."

"Wow so that means all eight of us can go to the gala." I say surprised before hearing Twilight stomach grumble.

"[Laughs nervously]."

"[Chuckles] I guess your still hungry huh?" Asked Sapphire.

"Yes she is so allow us to treat you to dinner." Rarity says before we all head out the doors taking our tickets from Spike.

"How come I don't get a ticket to the gala?" Spike asked sadden that he didn't get a ticket until her burped up another letter from Celestial. "And one for you, spike." He read as a ticket pops out from the letter as he runs outside happy before noticing me and Applejack standing outside as he acts like he didn't like the ticket. "I mean, gross! I have to go, too?" He says walking off before giggling again as me and Applejack follow right behind him.
