Once in a Blue Moon

Chapter 2

After a couple of hours of walking I had most of my groceries and I hadn't seen that pink mare anywhere

“Ok only one more thing on the list......... Apples” I say pulling out my shopping list

I walked around looking for the apple cart for what seemed like hours, but to no avail thats when I stumbled across a new building in ponyville

“Huh............what's this” I read the sign in front the building

“Ponyville library”
“Huh? How long has this been here 've never seen it before?” seeing as i couldn't find the apple cart I stepped inside the new establishment. walking in all I see is walls and walls of books and a big table in the middle, but there didn't seem to be any pony even there

“Hello anypony there” I say seeing if anypony was in the back or something

“YEAH YEAH I'LL BE RIGHT THERE JUST GIVE ME A MINUTE” says somepony from upstairs

I turned my head to see who this mystery pony was, but it wasn't a pony not even close it was a dragon a very small purple and green dragon walking down the stairs

“Oh............ hi there” says the little dragon

“Hi I was just che...........” just then I got cut off by another yelling voice from upstairs

“SPIKE WHOS AT THE DOOR” just then another pony walks down the stairs and this time it WAS a pony a unicorn with a purple coat and purple mane with a streak of pink going through it and a six star cutie mark

“Oh.........hi there welcome to the library how may I help you” she says with a sheeps grin

“like I was saying to um sorry what was your name” I say to the little dragon

“Spike my name is Spike and thats Twilight Sparkle” he says pointing to the mare

“Like I was saying to Spike I was just coming to check out the new library Ms.Sparkle” I say to the mare.
“Oh please just twilight will be fine, but i have to say i've been here for a week and I haven't seen you around town before are you new to town?” she says

“Um no i've lived in ponyville for a while i just live on the outskirts of town” I say rubbing the back of my neck.

“Oh why do you live on the outskirts of towns?” she asks

“If you don't mind I have to go I just came to check out the new library” I say edging my way towards the door I didn't know this mare well enough to tell her way and I didn't want to I have enough friends with just Ditzy and Meteor shower

“Oh ok have a good day” she says eyeing you down suspiciously

“Yeah it was nice meeting you Twilight, but like I said I really have to go sooooooooo bye” I say backing out the door and walking away

“Whew that was a little too close for comfort” I say as I head back in the direction of my house so I could get some sleep

“There's something I don't like about that stallion and i’m gonna get to the bottom of it” says Twilight

“Oh come on twilight just leave him alone he probably has a good reason for living away from town” says spike as he heads back upstairs for some sleep as well

“YAWN Maybe you're right spike, but i'm keeping my eyes on him.............. now lets go to bed it's getting late and you need your sleep you are a baby dragon after all” says twilight as she follows spike upstairs

-----------------------------------------------------BACK TO PRESENT--------------------------------------------

After another fly back to my house i was completely exhausted from not only flying, but also lugging back all my groceries i could barely even make it inside

“I really got to find a faster way back to my house” i say to myself heading towards my bedroom so i could get some sleep for tomorrow completely ignoring everything else. Oblivious to the huge stack of mail on my coffee table and the one scroll sticking out with the word urgent stuck to it

--------------------------------------------------THE NEXT DAY-----------------------------------------------

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

“Seriously can't i get a couple hours of extra sleep for once” I yelled to no one in particular tossing the pillow over my head

“Blue are you home i got your letter and i came over here as soon as i woke up” said the voice

“Wait thats Meteor shower” Meteor shower was my other friend she was a black coated mare with a purple and blue colored mane and a meteor streaking through the sky as her cutiemark. “HOLD ON I'M COMING” I rushed out of my bedroom getting all tangled up in the blanket and slamming my head into the door

SLAM “ MOTHERBUCKER CELESTIA THAT BUCKING HURT” I screamed at the top of my lungs

“Blue are you ok” she said through the door

No answer

“I'm coming in. Stand clear.” She said as she pivoted on her front hooves

Before I could say anything the door swung open and slammed into my face YET again

“Blue what are you doing on the floor?”

“Oh you know just enjoying the nice hard floor. WHAT DO YOU THINK HAPPENED? YOU KICKED THE DOOR IN MY FACE!” I screamed at her still feeling the stinging in my snout.

“I said to stand clear.” She said.

"Anyway, what are you doing here Meteor?" I said rubbing my still aching snout

“Oh! I got your letter, you said you made a discovery or something” she said pulling the letter you sent her yesterday

“Also I have something important to tell you”

“Cool I have something to tell you to”

In unison

“PRINCESS LUNA IS BACK”

“What how do you know”

“Stop doing that”

“Ok ok how do you know she is back” said Meteor

“I saw the stars the other night and they were just like they were a thousand years ago when she used to place them, but how do you know she is back?”

“She showed up at the summer sun celebration, didn't you get my letter?”

I looked at the pile of mail on my coffee table zeroing in on the lone scroll I just noticed was sticking out of the pile then it hit me

“NIGHTMARE MOON IS BACK WE HAVE TO DO SOMETH.................”

“Don't worry celestia changed her back she is back to normal”

“Sigh,Thats good to hear” I said letting out a breath I didn't know was holding

“Soooooooo what are you going to do now”

I smiled at her “Pack your bags Meteor we are heading to canterlot”
