Glacier Breeze: Introduction

It had been now four months since the peace talks and Glacier Breeze was seen flying recklessly toward the Castle of the Two Sisters. The young mare almost tipped a cart of apples over and barely grazed a mail pony. Once she arrived she landed on the waxed marble floor and slid to a halt. Glacier saw her father who was a three-star general and many other officers. Glacier Breeze was told why she was there and as her father was about to remove her rank a messenger entered and whispered to Luna.

In a brief moment, a pair of griffins walked in. One she recognized as the brother of the griffin who died in front of her face and the other his mourning father.

4 months ago

Glacier Breeze captain of the 103rd airborne division was forced to scatter as they were ambushed from above and shot at by a cloud of arrows and bolts from the ground. Glacier barrel rolled and saw two brothers side for her specifically. Both got wounded and as they plummeted to the ground and passed her as she had used her wings to air brake her dive. She dove for one and barely saved his life.

The present

She awkwardly glanced at the young griffin lord-to-be and wished she had tried harder to get airborne again. "Your majesties I'm here to discuss our terms of surrender and how we might build an alliance. If we may, can your captain be privy to the matter?"

"I my Lord Tungsten do not see what harm it can do."

"I and my fellow lords think it may advantageous to you and my people that we integrate a claw or hoof picked three hundred to integrate into each other's livelihoods and as they all will be reported to us; this I hope will induce a sense of trust." The talk lasted several days and weeks but it came to a head when they all agreed that each integrated soldier will be housed with a family.

By this point though, Glacier was removed from the throne room and paced. She and 299 others received orders and a letter and were sent to griffinstone. Among them was Sgt. Crimson of the 504th Recon division and Lt. Sweet Mint of the 235th Artillery Division.

When they arrived at the griffinstone depot and began dispersing to their new lodgings Sweet Mint, Crimson realized that Glacier Breeze lived on the same block. Glacier gently raised a hoof and knocked, the door swung open and the girl who answered exclaimed, "It's you!"
"Yes, it's me...." Glacier replied.

"You're that pegasus that my brother won't shut up about! Come on in, sorry that the rest of my family aren't here to greet you. I'm Shale, you know Graphite already, my mother in the photo is named Platinum and my father Lord Halberd. I also have a little sister named Ember and she's a ball of energy. She is also a bit racist toward ponies and the citizens of Equestria since the war had begun; she might be harsh and rude with you and your species for a while."

"Thanks for the warning, I just want to tell you how sorry I am for your loss...." Glacier's voice trailed off as she remembered how the brother had passed on. The look in Shale's eyes was heart-wrenching and yet held the look of one who seemed that they knew more than you think.

"Graphite told me a bit of the incident already, he also told me he never saw a foe risk so much to save an enemy and then try to save another through their injuries. Believe me, when I tell you I will do what I can to make sure you receive from our highest lords the "Distinguished Heart of Gold" medal. You deserve it and don't deny that your heart is gold." Glacier Breeze made an excuse to go take a little rest, as she lay on the couch Shale covered her with a blanket. The latter had gone to freshen up before the family arrived home.

Graphite saw the blanketed mass and assumed that it was Shale and went in for a tackle, he flipped out when Shale appeared in the doorway of her room looking terrified. Suddenly he landed on the mass and it lashed out the last thing Graphite saw was the frog of an equine hoof as it slammed into his eye. Rolling off, he cried in pain and Glacier Breeze had her hoof back ready to strike again.

"Bro! That it is why you fucking look before you leap!"

"Shale watch your language..... it's not ladylike to curse, and Graphite please apologize to our honored guest."

Graphite looked sheepishly at the pegasus before him, he now was realizing how cute she was....he felt bad tackling her. "Sorry, Ms. Breeze for......tackling you like that." Glacier smirked and leaped from the sofa and hugged him.

"Glad to see ya again....and sorry for the shiner you're gonna have." As the rest of the family nodded in satisfaction Ember asked an inappropriate question.

"When are you going start making love?" Graphite and Glacier looked shell-shocked, and the parents were horrified and Shale yanked her sister to the kitchen.

"You little shit!" Was the harsh whisper, "you fucking don't ask others that question....got it?" Ember nodded and flipped Shale off with her middle claw and walked out of the kitchen and went upstairs. For the rest of the day until dinner.

Glacier and the others had a wonderful time getting to know each other better. Graphite did his very best to keep his thoughts clean.
