Sorry it took so long. Trying to tackle other projects can be quite the challenge.

The Dazzling and the Sunset

A week had gone by very fast, and so far, Yabuki was really nervous. I mean, what’s the big deal, I mean, it’s one of his friends and one…one of the said girls who tried to have sex with him when they hypnotized him a while back. Oh fuck, what did he get himself into?

But during the week that passed, he spent as much time as he could with Twilight. They continued to help each other with their homework and they also took the time to have fun along the way. Although, Yabuki suspects that Twilight’s parents and brother might be on to them on their ‘special time”, even if Cadance is trying her best to cover for the both of them.

When Saturday morning had finally arrived, Yabuki woke up after his alarm went off and groaned. He looked at the time and realized it was time to spend time with Sunset and…Adagio. He still has a bad history with her, but if Sunset can vouch for her, then here’s hoping that she turned over a new leaf. But…he still wasn’t convinced, hence why he moaned loudly and said…

“Somebody kill me.”

After he was able to finish showering and getting dressed, he made his way towards Twilight’s house. But to his surprise, she was already waiting outside, sporting what he’d never thought he’d see, her wearing a jean and a purple sleeveless shirt.

He whistled in amazement, gaining Twilight’s attention. “Wow, you look great.”

Twilight couldn’t help but blush and said “Thanks. Figured I’d dress for the occasion.”

“You should wear that often.” said Yabuki.

“Really?” said Twilight as she suddenly smirked and flexed an eyebrow “If I did, then you wouldn’t be able to see my legs more often.”

Yabuki couldn’t help but blush by that comment, then muttered “Fair enough. I really do like it when you show off your legs.”

Twilight couldn’t help but giggle at that remark and said “Come on, we don’t want to keep Sunset and Adagio waiting.”

The two of them soon walked down the path leading straight to where the city was.

“So,” said Twilight as she walked beside Yabuki “Where are we going to go first.”

‘thankfully, Sunset was able to make a list and texted them to me.” Said Yabuki as he took out his phone and looked through it. “First, we’ll go have breakfast at that diner where Pinkie Pie works. Don’t worry, she’s somewhere else with Cheese Sandwich today. Then afterward, we’ll go to the Arcade to have some fun…”

Yabuki suddenly groaned, which Twilight got concerned and asked “What?”

“Sunset, and video games,” said Yabuki as he put them together “Equals Mean-set Shimmer.”

Twilight was taken aback by this and said “Hey.”

“Sorry,” said Yabuki “It’s just that, every single time whenever she plays video games, she gets super competitive, gets angry because of her short temper, and she ends up hurting someone. Besides, it’s what her nickname will be every time whenever she loses her cool and lashes out to anyone, just like she did with you back at the Friendship Games.”

Twilight winced at that, remembering that day. She sighed and said “Not something I’m proud of because of what I did.”

“But still,” said Yabuki “It’s because of her temper and impatience that got her into this mess in the first place. I mean because of her obliviousness of the fact she made Wallflower angry and erased her memory, then lashed out again at her because of what she did. Why else did you think I talked her into going to see an anger management therapist in the first place.”

Twilight was surprised by this information and said “Wait, you’re the one who convinced her to go there?”

“I was trying to help her.” said Yabuki. “I know she means well, but she had to learn to control her temper every now and then, otherwise people might get hurt unintentionally. And I don’t want that to happen to anyone…like it happened to you, once.”

Twilight saw how he felt bad for her and Sunset because of a few problems. She gave him a slight hug, showing that everything would be alright. After she let go, she said “Continue.”

“After that,” said Yabuki “We’ll go to the theatre. They’re showing the Daring Do Movie that you guys starred in a while back.”

“Really?” said Twilight “What’s the occasion?”

“Apparently today’s the one year anniversary that the movie was released.”

“Oh yeah, I read about that. Rainbow would be ecstatic.” said Twilight.

“Yeah, and ruin it for everyone like she did on set.” retorted Yabuki.

The two couldn’t help but laugh at that remark.

Soon the two of them had made their way towards the diner for breakfast. Yabuki wanted to go inside, but he still felt nervous. Twilight noticed this and held him close.

‘still nervous?” she asked.

“A little.” Said Yabuki.

Twilight broke the hug and gently kissed him on the lips. She looked at him with a smile and said ‘don’t worry. I’ll be by your side if anything goes wrong.”

Yabuki smiled by Twilight’s words and said “Thanks Twilight.”

“Now come on, let’s go.” Said Twilight “We don’t want to keep them waiting.”

The two of them soon stepped into the diner, and surprisingly, it wasn’t that busy, considering that today’s Saturday. They looked around, trying to find any sigh of Sunset. Sure enough, they spotted the said girl, waving to them from the window. Whilst from the orange poofy hair, could be from none other than Adagio, who turned back and looked with a smirk smile. Yabuki still felt nervous, but thanks to Twilight’s encouragement, they were able to make their way towards the table.

“Hey, glad you guys could make it.” Said Sunset.

‘sure, wouldn’t miss it.” Said Twilight.

Yabuki on the other hand was a bit nervous, considering what he went through. Adagio noticed the look on his face, and given what she and her sisters did to him, she couldn’t blame him. She suddenly felt nervous too.

“Um, hi.” Said Yabuki.

“Uh, yes, hi.” Said Adagio.

The two continued to be a bit nervous to each other.

“So uh,” said Yabuki as he felt like he was going to pass out “How have you been since…”

“It…was a struggle,” said Adagio, who then managed a smile and said “But thanks to Sunset, she really turned my life around.”

The two of them were still silent at the moment. However, both Twilight and Sunset were worried, for they knew that Yabuki had a bit of a history with Adagio ever since the Battle of the Bands. But sooner or later, they’re going to have to move on from their little tidbit sooner or later.

“Listen, Yabuki.” Said Adagio as she started. “I’d just like to say…I’m really sorry for what we put you through at the Battle of the Bands. We were very different back then. We didn’t think straight. When Sunset tracked us down, she tried to convince us to move on with our lives. We didn’t know where to start. Aria and Sonata were able to find boyfriends and the lot helped them settle down after the promise they made to Sunset and the others. Sunset offered me a place to stay and I accepted. But during the times we went out, I tried my best to be a better sir…er, person. But I’m also really sorry for what I put you through.”

Yabuki was a little surprised by her sudden apology, but he could see that she was really sorry. He took a deep breath and calmed down after exhaling.

“If Sunset can vouch and forgive you,” said Yabuki whilst he was pondering and talking at the same time. Then he smiled whilst looking at her, saying “Then I guess I can forgive you too.”

He then took her hand and kissed it whilst saying ‘milady.”

Adagio couldn’t help but blush and giggle at his funny gesture. Both Sunset and Twilight sighed in relief, seeing that there was now peace between them.

“So,” said Twilight, who decided to break the conversation “Now that everything’s all clear. What should we do today?”

“Well, like I texted Yabuki earlier.” Said Sunset whilst gaining the group’s attention “After we had some breakfast, we’ll head straight for the arcade.”

Adagio then said with a smirk “Which the only reason she’s doing that is because she wants to beat Yabuki at Fruit Samurai 3.”

“No, I don’t!!” exclaimed Sunset out of embarrassment.

“You’re still at it?!” said Yabuki disbelief as he looked at her. “Look, Sunset, I told you last month, I told you last week, I told you yesterday, and I will tell you today, I won that game fair and square because I’m well-coordinated when it comes to pretending to swing a sword, you on the other hand swung around like a maniac despite you being a fencer for almost two years now.”

“I don’t, swing like a maniac.” Said a growling Sunset as she didn’t want to admit defeat.

“Need I remind you that I had to keep your temper at bay because you nearly got yourself banned after what happened last year?” retorted Yabuki.

Sunset cringed in embarrassment, as she didn’t want to be reminded of that again, with Twilight asking “What happened last year?”

“Let’s just say,” said Yabuki “The last time she played whack-a-mole, she nearly ended up shoving the mallet up someone else’s ass.”

Twilight widened her eyes in shock as she said “She tried to do that with the mallet’s handle?!”

“It wasn’t the handle.” Said Adagio as she kept her smirk, causing Twilight to gawk and look at Sunset, making the said girl groan in embarrassment.

“Anyway,” said Adagio “From the list I read, we’ll go see the movie of that one movie you and the Rainbooms starred in.”

She looked at both Twilight and Sunset and asked ‘too bad you girls didn’t have full roles. Imagine how famous all of you would be if that had happened. Although, then again, we don’t want to put too much pressure on Fluttershy. She doesn’t handle the spotlight well.”

‘true that.” Said Yabuki, remembering the battle of the bands.

“Then after that, we’ll go to that one restaurant at downtown Canterlot.” Said Adagio.

“Really?” said Twilight “What’s so special about that place?”

“Well for one thing,” said Yabuki when he looked it up on his phone “They have a special karaoke night there, including dancing.”

‘dancing?” said Twilight excited “Oooh, I’m in.”

She suddenly noticed Sunset, Adagio and Yabuki trying to contain their laughter, with Twilight flexing an eyebrow and asks “What?”

“As long as you don’t do that.” Said Sunset as she showed her a video on her phone.

The video was none other than Twilight, dancing horribly, making her gawk in shock and exclaimed “You recorded that?!”

“Actually, Rainbow was the one who did it.” Said Sunset.

Twilight groaned in embarrassment as Sunset said “So, are we all in agreement?”

“I’m fine with whatever.” Said Yabuki.

‘same here.” Said Adagio.

Soon afterwards, their breakfasts arrived. Sunset had the waffles, Twilight had the pancakes, Yabuki had the early bird (which consists of bacon, eggs, toast, hashbrown and sausages), and surprisingly, Adagio had ordered the same thing.

“Wow,” said Yabuki as he saw the breakfast “I didn’t know you liked that kind of breakfast.”

“I only get to eat it every two weeks.” Said Adagio.

“Really, how come?” asked Yabuki.

“You could say it’s my cheat day.” Said Adagio “I end up having something to look forward to.”

“Wait, you too?” said Yabuki, gaining Adagio’s attention “I also do that. I eat healthy and exercise for two weeks, then by the second weekend, I also order a type of breakfast.”

“Really?” said Adagio ‘do you exercise down at that gym right next door to the Spa?”

“That’s right.” Said Yabuki.

“Wait, you didn’t mention that.” Said Sunset as she was surprised to hear this from the two of them.

“You didn’t ask.” Said Adagio and Yabuki together.

“So that’s how you’re always in proper shape.” Muttered Twilight when she realized something.

Once they were done with their breakfast, they walked down the streets together towards the arcade.

“So, Adagio.” Said Twilight as she wanted to try and make due conversations “How are Aria and Sonata doing?”

Adagio sighed and said ‘those two are still a handful. Aria can still be prone to anger and Sonata can’t stop being a ditz when it comes to Tacos.”

“What is it with her and tacos?” asked Yabuki ‘doesn’t she realize that there are also other food besides tacos?”

“Convince her of that.” Said Adagio whilst rolling her eyes. “I love her, I really do. But if her brains were dynamite, she couldn’t blow her nose.”

“But I also heard that you were getting some singing lessons lately to help get your voices back.” Said Yabuki.

Adagio smiled a little and said “We are, and thanks to Sunset, we’re starting to improve a little.”

“Have to start somewhere.” Said Yabuki, with Adagio nodding in agreement.

Soon they made their way to the arcade, with Yabuki giving Sunset a glare and said “Now remember Sunset, we’re not here to cause any trouble, nor are we competing or going overboard. We’re here to have fun, and that’s that.”

Sunset sighed and said “I remember.”

The four of them soon entered the building and thankfully the place wasn’t that fully pact, meaning the four of them have half the gaming entertainment to themselves.

“Nice place.” Commented Adagio.

“It may not look much,” said Yabuki “But they got a ton of stuff up to date. You won’t find a single device out of date.”

“So, I notice.” Said Twilight as she used her glasses to observe the arcade machines “The quality of their screens look amazing.”

“So, we do we start first?” asked Yabuki.

“How about Miner’s Frenzy.” Said Sunset as she pointed at the nearest machine.

“It’s up to four players, so that’s where we’ll start.” Said Yabuki as the four of them made their way towards the arcade game.

They got to their controllers and began to play as if their lives depend on it. So far, things were going great, until Yabuki heard Sunset growling.

“I will not get beaten by anyone else or this game.” Growled Sunset as she rapidly pressed her fingers on the controls, trying her best to catch up, but to no avail.

She groaned in frustration, not knowing how to get there faster. Twilight, thanks to her mathematical brain, was able to go with ease, but she also grumbled whilst her target kept getting shot at. Adagio was having a little trouble, but she was also having some fun along the way. Even Yabuki had a great time, trying to catch up, making up points as they went along, even made sure that he didn’t get shot.

The two of them were standing around, trying to move their controllers in order to get more into this game. Twilight on the other hand had to make sure that she didn’t lose her glasses whilst trying to move, Yabuki on the other hand, noticed that Sunset was close into losing her cool again. Seeing that he didn’t want her to get in trouble again, he did the one thing he never thought he’d do. The moment when he leaned close to Sunset, he instantly placed his hand under her skirt and gently gripped on her butt cheek, making her slightly yelp as she had completely thrown her anger out of the window.

The game was soon over, and surprisingly, Adagio was the one in the lead. She began to jump up and praise and said “That was amazing!!”

“Wow, I’m impressed Adagio,” said Twilight when she noticed how high her score was “You really played good.”

“She sure did,” said Yabuki ‘don’t you agree Sunset?”

However, Sunset’s face was red from the embarrassment as she couldn’t believe what just happened.

They soon made their way to the next game, with Sunset grumbling in embarrassment.

“I can’t believe you actually did that in public.” Whispered Sunset harshly.

“I had to do something,” whispered Yabuki back “I really don’t want you to get banned from this place. It’s one of your favorite gaming spots in town.”

She blinked in surprise and said “You knew I lied this place?”

“Why else did you think I invited you to come with me here to this place in the first place?” said Yabuki “I really wanted to get to know you girls a little better, and ever since that incident at the Fall Formal I really wanted to help you.”

Sunset remembered that during after the Fall Formal, many of the students were still mad at her and didn’t want to accept her apology, but Yabuki was the first one to reach out to her during her wanting to change. She was a bit nervous at first, but then he brought her to the arcade every Saturday, and thus her love for gaming came to life. Though the two of them were always busy, Yabuki would always make time for his friends and made sure that they had a great time.

Sunset couldn’t help but smile, thinking about how much time they spent together. She felt Yabuki’s hand, making her look at him.

“You, okay?” he asked in concern.

“Yeah,” said Sunset “Just…thinking about the day you were the first one, beside my friends, to reach out to me. And I’ll always be grateful. Although…”

“What?”

“How come Wallflower didn’t erase your memory of me?” asked Sunset.

“Oh, right.” Said Yabuki as he blushed a bit, whilst saying “It’s uh…it’s…complicated.”

She flexed an eyebrow at that, but considering the way he blushed, must be a reason why he was acting like that. She decided to drop it and said “Even with everyone’s memory erased of me, you didn’t give up on me.”

“I never abandon my friends,” said Yabuki, until he got bitter and said “Unlike the others during the Anon-a-miss incident.”

She cringed at that, with Yabuki saying “I still can’t believe they didn’t believe you. Oh, sure, the website looked like you did it but they didn’t think and realize that you were framed, but the others were tricked into thinking that they hurt each other on purpose during your bullying days, no offense. I mean seriously, there were still some folks who still hated you, despite you working hard every day trying to redeem yourself and earned their trust after working hard for them and helped them with their homework, and suddenly Snips and Snails are the stupid ones?”

“Could you please not talk about them like that?” said Sunset as Yabuki noticed that she was feeling uncomfortable.

“Sorry it’s just…” said Yabuki as he felt a bit mad “It makes me mad that friends jump into accusations and instantly think the other is to blame without even thinking things through.”

Sunset couldn’t help but smile and held onto her right shoulder whilst she said “And I really appreciate it.”

Yabuki spotted something and said “No way.”

“What?” said Sunset.

Yabuki ran over to the one game that caught his attention, with Adagio and Twilight joining Sunset to see where he was going.

“They do?!” said Yabuki in excitement, then he pointed at the game and said “They have Dance Revolution!!”

‘dance Revolution?” said the confused girls.

“It’s a new gaming platform where all the latest songs are loaded onto this game and then whatever song plays, you follow the avatar and dance along with them.”

“Wow, sounds amazing.” Said Sunset.

“Looks okay.” Said Adagio “After this, we’ll try Guitar Hero.”

“Huh?” said Twilight as she looked at Adagio confusingly “But Adagio, from what Sunset had said, you can’t play the guitar.”

“And you can’t dance Twilight,” said Adagio before she looked at Twilight “But didn’t stop you from doing your little freak parade you did at last year’s dance.”

Twilight gawked at that, and said “I can dance too.”

“Before we gave you dancing lessons.” Said Yabuki “You needed my help that one time when you had to dance better when that Chance for Prance thing came out, remember?”

“Oh, right.” Mumbled an embarrassed Twilight, not wanting to remember that.

“So,” said Yabuki as he looked at the girls “Any takers?”

Sunset raised her hand and said “I’ll give it a shot.”

She walked up to the dance floor and stood next to him whilst he picks a song.

“Ooh, good choice.” Said Sunset when she noticed the specific song he picked.

“Thanks,” said Yabuki “I play this song every morning whenever I get up in order for me to start the day. My motivation song if you will.”

As the song began to play, the two of them began to dance like there was no tomorrow. They both followed the movements fluently and they were able to move like they were nobody’s business. Everyone watched in amazement as they saw the two of them dance.

“Wow,” said Adagio to Twilight “You weren’t kidding, he’s really got some great moves.”

“I know, right?” said Twilight as she was just as amazed.

The Adagio could see how well Yabuki’s dancing is. She had to admit, she was really impressed with his dancing skills.

Soon the two of them walked out of the doors of the Arcade after much playing.

“I have to admit, that was a lot of fun.” Said Sunset “You’re really a great dancer. You’ve really got the hips.”

“Thanks” said Yabuki ‘though I think your flexibility outdoes my movements.”

“Well maybe a little,” said Sunset “You were close though.”

As they walked, Twilight could see how well Sunset was getting along with Yabuki.

“I have to admit, I’m really impressed.” Said Adagio “He really knows how to bond with people.”

“He’s actually one of a kind.” Said Twilight

Adagio nodded in agreement, then looked at Twilight and asked “So what’s next?”

“Well the theatre’s next.” Said Twilight “You think we should try to get some popcorn for the movie?”

Before Sunset could say anything, Yabuki gained their attention as he said “Not necessary. Cause I got an idea.”

The two of them wondered what he had in mind, with Adagio also intrigued by what he was up to.

Soon the two of them made it towards the theatre, where the Daring Do movie, featuring the Rainbooms, would be aired again for its anniversary. The three ladies were waiting for Yabuki at the theatre.

“What’s taking him so long?” said a worried Twilight “The movie’s about to start.”

‘don’t worry, he’ll make it.” Said Sunset “You know he never skips out on a promise.”

“Oh, look, there he comes.” Said Adagio as she pointed out.

They saw Yabuki coming along with what appeared to be plastic bags filled with something.

“Sorry I’m late.” Said Yabuki out of breath. “I had to put my plan in action.”

“What plan?” said Sunset with a flexed eyebrow.

Yabuki looked around and sure enough, he was able to spot one of the movie theatre workers and knew that they were going to be trouble. He smirked and looked at the girls.

“Hold this.” Said Yabuki, allowing the girls to hold onto the bags whilst he walked over to the theatre workers.

He pretended to frantically go to the guy and said “Excuse me, sir.”

“Yes?” said the guy before Yabuki grabbed him.

“You’d better get down to the men’s room and fast.” Said Yabuki “The water’s running like crazy and the toilets are smoking.”

“What?!!” said the man, causing him to quickly run over.

Yabuki quickly went back to the girls as he said “Alright, let’s go. Go, go, go, go, go.”

The girls were greatly confused but entered the movie theatre all the same. They soon entered and took their seats. But then they heard a shout that said “Are you serious right now?!!”

The girls looked at the door shocked, then back to Yabuki with flexed eyebrows, with Adagio saying “It never really ran and smoke, did it?”

They saw Yabuki could barely keep his laughter in, but decided not to question it until after the movie. “So what did you bring?”

Yabuki pulled out what appeared to be a burger pack, which surprised Twilight as she whispered “You smuggled burgers for us?!”

“Oh, sweet, thanks.” Said Sunset as she and Adagio accepted theirs.

“You’re not supposed to bring in burgers in the movie theatre!” whispered Twilight harshly.

“Aw come on Twiley,” said Yabuki playfully whilst holding a French fry as he said “If you ignore this, I’ll “Lady and the Tramp” it with you.”

He held the fry in his mouth and leaned in closer to her. Twilight looked with a flexed eyebrow, as she realized she could have the fry and be…

She widened her eyes a bit whilst blushing. She squirmed for a bit, now knowing how to respond to this. But then he leaned over to her a bit and kept that smile. Twilight couldn’t help but roll her eyes and smirk back with amusement. She moved her head towards Yabuki, whilst she was able to grab the fry, her lips landed on top of his. She couldn’t help but blush in that predicament and held his head close, allowing the two of them to make out during that movie, whilst Adagio and Sunset were too focused on the movie to notice.

So after the kiss, as well as watching the movie whilst Twilight and Sunset pointed to Adagio some parts of the movie she didn’t get, the four of them left the movie and walked down the hallway of the mall.

“I have to admit, Chestnut really is an inspiring actress.” Said Adagio ‘though tackling between her acting career and watching over a few animal foundations must be quite hard.”

“It is.” Said Yabuki “It’s like the Rainbooms trying to manage their school life and magical life at the same time.”

“No argument there.” Said Sunset “Sometimes even I don’t know how I could manage between being a pony and a human at the same time.”

“There’s nothing wrong feeling that way Sunset,” said Yabuki “For like an old lady from that one tv show said to her own granddaughter when she was the new protector, “Just as you have to find balance in protecting a world, you must find balance in your own life”, or something like that.”

“Huh,” said Twilight “That’s…actually a good words of wisdom.”

“Thanks.” Said Yabuki.

“By the way,” said Adagio as she made them stop and look at Yabuki ‘did the water actually come out of the men’s room whilst the toilets were smoking?”

They saw Yabuki struggling to keep in his laughter, with him saying “Oh it did, just not in the way they think it.”

“What did you do?” asked Sunset.

Yabuki pulled out his phone and show them the two pictures.

On one picture, it was a bunch of bottles of water, all lined up all over the toilet stalls to make it look like they were “Coming” out of the bathroom.

Whilst the toilets themselves, had two teepees placed in one direction to make it look like eyes and looking at you, whilst the empty teepees were placed in the toilet seat, so that it would look like it was smoking.

The girls looked at the two pictures with wide eyes and open mouths, then they look at Yabuki, who looked like he was going to burst any minute, then looked back at the pictures. Before they knew it, the girls could barely keep their laughter in anymore, and within a split second, all three girls and Yabuki burst out with laughter, laughing really loud and clutching their stomachs and onto each other, for Yabuki have distracted them and pulled an even funnier prank than Rainbow Dash.

Later that night, they arrived at the karaoke party at a restaurant in downtown Canterlot. They saw that the place was almost packed, but there were still seats for them.

“They’re really interested in this whole karaoke thing, huh?” said Twilight.

“Who wouldn’t?” said Sunset “Ever since they added karaoke, a lot of folks wanted to give it a chance.”

“I’m actually looking forward to see what kind of songs they have.” Said Yabuki.

“I am too.” Said Adagio “From what I heard, they added many songs here, from the eighties to the present.”

“Let’s take a seat first.” Said Yabuki.

Soon the four made their way towards their table, but at the same time, they saw their number on the table. Which was number 10.

“What’s with the number on our table?” asked a confused Sunset.

Yabuki, deciding to be a gentleman, waved to the waitress, gaining her attention and made her way towards the table.

“Excuse me,” said Yabuki to the waitress “Would you please be so kind to tell us what this here number means on our table?”

“Oh, of course.” Said the waitress “The first ten tables are labeled with each of their own numbers. And if any of the lucky participants are on the numbered tables, all of them would get to sing the song of their choice. The moment the stats on the board shines the number on the table, the table also shines, allowing the participants to pick if they wish to perform once or twice.”

‘sing once or twice?” asked Yabuki.

“Exactly,” said the waitress “We wish for our customers to enjoy any song they pick?”

“What if their singing are bad?” said Adagio, making the others wince, for it figured she would make a rude comment.

“Oh, not to worry.” Said the waitress “We have two judges here who judge how you sing. If they’re bad, they’re eliminated and will not be performing further.”

“Huh, that’s actually clever.” Said Sunset.

“Again, thanks for the information.” Said Yabuki, with the waitress nodding whilst smiling before she left.

“So it’s kind of like a competition,” said Adagio whilst she wanted to make sure “Only just for fun.”

“That’s right.” Said Yabuki whilst looking at her with a flexed eyebrow “Why, are you planning on cheating?”

“N-no.” said Adagio defensively. “I don’t have to cheat.”

“You might with your good looks.” Said Yabuki.

Adagio suddenly blushed and mumbled “W-what?”

“The way I see it, you don’t have to make someone adore you by force.” Said Yabuki “You can be adored by being yourself. I was afraid and nervous to spend time with you after you and the rest of the Dazzlings got reformed, but I was able to spend time with the others.”

He then said his thoughts about what he thought.

“Even though Sonata may be a ditz and be clumsy, she’s actually sweet and kind. Even though she may say the silliest things, she’s brave enough to be herself. Aria on the other hand pretends to be the bad girl, but deep down, she just wanted someone to appreciate her. Plus once you see through that tough girl exterior, you realize she’s not that bad, she’s actually quite sweet.”

He then looked at Sunset “I admit, I was afraid to spend time with you because of your past. But then I realize that back when Sunset was just a bully, everyone was afraid of her. But deep down, I could see something. I didn’t see a power hungry unicorn who wanted to be a princess. I saw a sweet, kind and caring individual who only wanted to make friends but she didn’t know how. I never gave up on her by trying to reach her. But after when Princess Twilight and the others freed her, she apologized to me, but I told her it wasn’t necessary. And I told her I didn’t mind seeing her bad temper and everything. She was brave enough to be herself, and that’s why I liked her and she became my friend.”

He finally looked at Adagio “So I tried that same tactic with Aria and Sonata. It was hard at first, but I never gave up on them. And after spending time with you, you’re actually pretty cool and nice when you want to be. Plus you weren’t pretending to be a different person, you were brave enough to be yourself. And I think that’s why I like you and would consider adding you to my circle of friends, just like I did with Sunset and the others, along with Aria and Sonata. Meaning, I already adore you, because you’re my friend, and I always will be. Just give it a chance, and you’ll see.”

Adagio was at a loss for words as she didn’t know how to respond to that, even Sunset after hearing Yabuki’s confession. Twilight only smiled, for that was quite heartwarming to hear. Adagio suddenly shed a tear, and within a split second, hugged Yabuki, for that was the nicest thing anyone has ever said to her, even Sunset couldn’t help but smile and hug him for what he said. Twilight was glad that Yabuki got along with Adagio and the friendship with Sunset grew strong.

The spotlight suddenly shined at table ten, which could only mean one thing…it’s their turn to sing now. Yabuki looked around and noticed that there weren’t many singers. Guess all of them must have been eliminated.

“So uh,” said Yabuki as he tried to break the silence “Who wants to go first.”

“Sunset and I will go,” said Adagio with a smile on her face “There’s a song I’ve been dying to sing since that other karaoke bar that one night.”

“Oooh,” said Sunset as she knew what she was talking about “I also want to try that song.”

“Knock em dead you two.” Said Yabuki.

“We’ll be rooting for you.” Said Twilight.

Soon, both Adagio and Sunset were on stage and Adagio whispered to the guy up front what they want to sing, which he agreed with a smile. Soon the two of them stood on stage and began to sing.

As the two began to sing, everyone in the audience cheered for the two girls singing, even Yabuki and Twilight cheered for the two of them as they were dancing around, shaking their hips and singing their hearts out. Most of the Audience got hyped up from Sunset and Adagio singing together.

Soon as the song ended, everyone cheered whilst Adagio stepped on stage after signaling Twilight to come up stage, which she did once she made her way towards the stage.

As Twilight stood next to Sunset, she whispered “What song do you have in mind?”

“I got just the one.” Said Sunset as she picked the song.

The two of them began to sing together, and pretty soon, the both of them were in perfect sync. Everyone in the restaurant were moved by the song as some began to shed tears. Adagio seemed into this too.

“You gotta admit, they really sing well together.” Said Adagio.

“Yeah,” said Yabuki as he admitted something “But the difference between the song they’re singing and the song you sang, they’re not shaking their beautiful hips like you did.”

Adagio blushed at this and looked at him whilst saying “B-beautiful?”

“I didn’t want to say it out loud,” said Yabuki as he admitted sheepishly “But uh, you really looked beautiful whenever you move your hips like that. I didn’t want to say anything considering that I was still a bit nervous around you, but now that our relationship as friends has improved, I feel like I can be honest with you.”

Adagio couldn’t help but deepen her blushing face, then looked away as she said “Uh…thanks.”, whilst at the same time, couldn’t hide that smile from her face.

After the song was done, everyone cheered for them. At the same time, Twilight spotted a guitar and brought it over to Sunset so that she could play for the audience. She decided to sit by a nearby chair and watch her friend play whilst she wanted to do another song. Sunset began to play the strings a bit, then began to play a song of her choice.

Everyone began to enjoy the song, even Yabuki liked it. Then again, he heard her practice that song during free period, so it would kind of make sense since it’s one of her favorites.

Soon the song ended and everyone cheered, with Twilight accepting the microphone as it was her turn, whilst at the same time, Sunset picked the perfect song for Twilight to sing, which would be fitting for her.

“Knock em dead Twilight.” Said Sunset whilst she stepped off of the stage.

As the song played, everyone clapped along as they got hyped up for the song, with Twilight moving around and dancing as she enjoyed every minute of the song. Even Yabuki, Sunset and Adagio couldn’t help but move and groove with smiles on their faces as they really liked the song.

As soon as she struck a pose and raised the microphone in the air, they all cheered for her.

Adagio looked at Yabuki and remembered the conversation they had earlier. She couldn’t help but blush at the compliment, but then she suddenly smirked and had a great idea. She stood up and said ‘maybe I can do one more song.”

She walked up to the stage and began to pick a specific song that caught her attention. She suddenly smirked and looked at Yabuki with a flirty wink, making Yabuki wonder what she was planning.

Pretty soon, Adagio began to sing as she moved her hips and danced wildly, amazing the audience as all of them cheered loudly.

“Uh, what is she doing?” said Yabuki as he couldn’t help but feel flustered by seeing this.

“I think she’s trying to hype up the audience.” Said Twilight as she saw how Adagio dances.

“I think she’s awesome.” Said Sunset as she couldn’t help but stare at her moving hips.

Yabuki couldn’t help but chuckle, gaining Sunset’s attention as she said “What?”

“It’s ironic,” said Yabuki “Back then you couldn’t stand her when she first tried to break you, now you’re practically head over heels for her.”

‘s-shut up.” Said Sunset as she blushed out of embarrassment.

He couldn’t help but chuckle at that. Adagio continued to enjoy herself until the song ended. Everyone cheered for her whilst she stepped off of the stage.

“So, how was that?” asked Adagio.

“You did great.” Said Yabuki “I gotta admit, I’m surprised you and the rest of the Dazzlings didn’t bother to turn your group into a dance group instead of a singing group.”

“What can I say?” said Adagio as she shrugged “I was born with these kings of hips.”

Adagio then realized something, then looked at Yabuki and asked “You know, you’re a skilled dancer, a funny joker and you treated us well, but we never heard you sing.”

Yabuki blushed a bit and said “I’m…not that special.”

“Oh come one, I’m sure it can’t be that bad.” Said Sunset.

Twilight then said “It’s okay, I believe in you.”, before she kissed him on the cheek.

Yabuki took a deep breath and stood up, whilst saying “Excuse me.”

He walked up to the stage and began to prepare himself for the singing of his life. He stood on stage and began to pick a song. He looked through the list and there was one song that he always wanted to try, dedicated to his favorite singing group, he picked the one specific song.

As the music began to play, Yabuki began to sing and be synced with the song of his choice. At first, he sang softly, then as the song played on, he began to sing loudly whilst moving around a bit. Everyone in the room were amazed and fascinated at the same time, for they had never heard anything this beautiful before.

The girls were surprised to hear him sing with widened eyes.

“Wow,” said Twilight dreamingly as she rested on her hands “I didn’t know he had quite the voice.”

“Wow,” said Sunset as she crossed her arms with a smile “He’s good.”

Adagio continued to stare at him whilst she slowly began to blush. She rested on her one hand and muttered “Where have you been all my life?”

The song ended, with everyone cheering. Yabuki felt flattered, for he hadn’t sing in a long time, now being in front of an audience will give him a chance. He then picked another song that they knew they were going to like.

When he sang, they had never heard anything so melodious, everyone loved the song, even Twilight, Sunset and Adagio couldn’t help but fawn over him the way they see him perform. Everyone loved the song he was singing. As soon as he was done, everyone began to cheer.

Just before he could put the microphone down, he heard shouting “One more song!!”

He looked up and to his surprise, Adagio was the one who called out that he should sing. Soon, Sunset and Twilight began to join in, and everyone in the room. He felt flustered, for no one had ever requested him to sing before. He picked it up and looked at one more song. He smiled as there was one song, he remembered was Twilight’s favorite.

As he sang, Twilight immediately recognized the song and cheered, even Adagio and Sunset cheered. Everyone soon began to sing along as all of them had begun to enjoy the song. Everyone cheered the moment the song ended, even Twilight, Sunset and Adagio whilst they and everyone stood up and cheered for him, with him waving and smiling at the same time.

Soon after their singing, it was now nearly 8PM, the girls and Yabuki left the restaurant after an amazing night.

“So,” said Yabuki as he was the first to speak “Where should we go to next?”

However, he felt he was being tugged for some reason. When he stopped and looked, he saw both Adagio and Sunset, both having bedroom eyes and smiles on their faces. But he noticed that their cheeks were a bit red. Then it finally clicked to him, remembering what Sunset had asked of him earlier.

“Oh boy.” Said Yabuki as he turned to face them. “So uh…where?”

“At my place,” said Sunset “We should have some plenty of alone time there.”. Sunset looked at Twilight and said “And Twilight, I have some lab equipment with me when I worked on my last project. You can use them if you want.”

“Oh, sure.” Said Twilight “It’ll give me a chance to figure out how the transformation happened and if it’ll affect you too.”

“Well then,” said Adagio in a flirty manner “You heard them lover boy. Let’s go.”

Yabuki soon walked with them, but then thought to himself “Something tells me this is going to be a long night.”
