Sunset Shimmer was a young child living in a quiet Eldian city. She had a great family as they would always sit around the table eating meals and spending time with each other. Sunset couldn't be any happier, even though Sunset and her family got a lot of prejudice from the Marleyians who saw her Eldian heritage as inferior. Sunset even befriended fellow Eldians Twilight Sparkle, Adagio Dazzle, Aria Blaze, Sonata Dusk, and Wallflower Blush. Her life was happy until a group of Marleyians came up to Sunset and her friends and told them that there was a program going on that would make them better people. However the Marleyians tricked them, as they then killed their parents, gave the poor children brutal physical and mental torture, and in the end, turned them all into Titans.

Each of their Titan Forms developed some kinds of mutations that were different for each one, but none of that was as bad as all the physical and mental agony that would be placed upon them.

When Sunset finds her friends and when she tells the Survey Core about what had happened to them, it's up to Sunset, her eldian friends, and Survey Core Members Applejack and Rainbow-Dash to put an end to Marley's crimes.
