A Boy and his Watch
Prologue

In a small rural town known as Bellwood, a climactic final battle just occurred between a galactic warlord, and a hero with the most powerful device in the universe. A fight to determine the true state of what would become of the planet, nay, the universe they live in.
What most don't know, is that this hero, was just a kid.
Within the confines of a messy, but still fairly clean room, was that kid. A 10 year old boy with messy brown hair, green eyes, and caucasian skin. He was dressed in a white t-shirt with a black stripe going down the middle of it, and brown cargo pants with black and white sneakers.
On his wrist, was the most powerful device in the universe. A watch, a bulky gray watch with four white tubes connected to it, a green button and a dial with four green nodes on each side. within the dial was a green hourglass, an hourglass that would be the boy's identity for years to come, years he would not experience in his own world.
This boy, is Benjamin Tennyson.
A set of beeps and boops echoed from a TV in the room, and a 'GAME OVER' logo popped up on screen. Ben groaned and tossed a controller to the side.
"Why do I even bother playing this stupid game again, if I don't know how to get past that tutorial? Who evens make a tutorial that difficult!? UGH!!" Ben said frustrated. Ben turned off his TV and then climbed into bed, yawning as he slowly began to fall asleep.

"I- I don't know if I can do this. No one has been able to hatch the egg before, but several people still got in. I'm worried I won't be able to do it." A high pitched voice said in worry.
In another world, one inhabited by pastel colored ponies, was a little filly. A purple filly with a dark purple mane with a couple pink-ish bright purple stripes and a unicorn horn, who seemed very worried about passing some kind of exam.
A white mare with a brighter purple hair color just patted and reassured the little filly. "Don't you worry, Twilight, we believe in you. Even if you don't pass, you'll always find a way to be great." The mare reassured, smiling warmly at the filly.
"That's right, kiddo, you got the makings of somepony who was destined for success, but even if you don't pass, we'll always love you and support you on whatever you decide to do. Now go out there, and make us proud, Twilight!" a dark blue stallion said, smiling as he encouraged the filly.
The filly took a deep breath, and sighed, putting on a smile as she slowly walked over, looking at some other ponies, who seemed ready to judge whatever was gonna happen.
Twilight began her exam. She slowly started to cast spells that could work for any other egg during its incubation process. the spells didn't seem to be working, and the judges were aware.
Twilight bit her lip and focused her magic more on awakening spells, trying to get whatever was in the egg to hatch on its own when it woke up, but again, it didn't seem to work. She was running out of options, and just decided to try and do a summoning spell, focusing on the egg as she tried to bring out whatever could've been inside.
Then the surge happened. Twilight's magic went god level for a moment, transforming her parents into plants, turning the judges into plants, and she did manage to summon something when the sound of a thud echoed out, but this was not a creature born from an egg... this was a creature that no one had seen in the flesh, only to be rumored as a mythical beast of legend among Xenologists and top notch researchers in Equestria. The surge from the filly petered out, and she looked on at the creature on the floor.
It was a human. One of the first of its kind to be seen, and confirmed to exist. Once the judges were returned to normal, as were Twilight's parents, it was clear that this human was no older than ten, and seemed rather odd.
The oddest thing about the human, besides its clothing, was the accessory on its wrist. Twilight, now piqued by her curiosity, carefully approached the clothed human boy and tapped the watch, which then beeped and began to spin its dial, the green hourglass becoming what looked like a DNA Helix before glowing a yellow aura. When the device returned to normal, the creature groaned and sat up, looking around in a confused daze, only to be surprised that he was surrounded by a bunch of pastel colored unicorns.
"W-Where am I?" The human asked tiredly. Before he could get an answer, he fell back and curled up, feeling exhausted, and falling asleep.
"Miss Twilight, after careful deliberation, we have decided. Congratulations, you passed." One of the judges stated.
Twilight was giddy about passing, but she looked to the human on the ground, and decided to try and help him up. Something that brought a smile to the tall white alicorn in the room.
This was the start of something new, a path already treaded, but shows another view.
"Excuse me, Mister and Miss Sparkle, I believe it'd be in our best interest to see how this development pushes forth. Would you be willing to have another child to look after?" Celestia asked quietly, looking down towards the filly's parents.
They watched on, seeing their little girl struggling, but still trying to help the strange non-pony up. The human began to wake up, looking at the filly and her bright smile. The human chuckled and smiled too, trying to find his footing as he looked at the big white alicorn.
"Who's that?" The human asked.
Twilight's eyes lit up as she practically bounced in place. "That's the princess, Celestia. She's one of the most important ponies in all of Equestria. She can raise the sun and the moon, isn't she cool?" The filly introduced, smiling as wide as she can.
"I've never met a princess... nor have I ever heard of Celestia, or Equestria for that matter. Weird. What's your name?" Ben asked, looking down at the filly. She seemed to be feeling the happiest she's ever felt, and this human could only just smile and laugh.
"I'm Twilight Sparkle, nice to meet you! What's your name, friend?" Twilight introduced.
the human was about to respond, but seemed to forget a part of his name for some reason. He felt like it was important to know his name, but he seemed only able to remember his first name. Guess that was gonna have to do till he remembered his last name.
"I'm Ben. Nice to meet you too, Twilight. I didn't know we were friends, but it's nice to know I at least have one!" Ben introduced, hugging the unicorn, earning a few giggles from the filly.
The filly's parents looked on, smiling at how their daughter seems to have made a friend. They looked back at Celestia, who was still expecting an answer. They looked at each other and nodded knowingly.
"We could always have another son, as long as it's okay with him. After all, I couldn't even imagine if his parents are either gone, or... you know, plus, it'll help to have a playmate for Twilight whenever Shining's off doing his own thing. Isn't that right, honey?" The stallion said, looking to the mare by his side.
"Of course, it'd be great to have another son. He may not be a pony, but I'll love him like he was my own." The mare said with a smile.
Celestia nodded, slowly walking over to the filly and the human, catching their attention as the alicorn smiled upon them. "Greetings, human. Do you have a name I can call you?"
"My name is Ben, your royal highness." Ben said, getting on one knee. The ponies looked at the human with looks of confusion, but Celestia seemed to chuckle lightly.
"am I doing it right, Twilight?" Ben whispered, earning a laugh from the filly. Ben sighed and smacked his face with his hand, feeling like he just got fooled.
"Well, Ben. I'm Princess Celestia, the ruler of this land. I welcome you to our kingdom with open hooves, and to show my gratitude to you, you will be apart of Twilight's family, acting as her brother. If you see a problem with this, then I shall understand and--"
"Awesome, I never had a sibling... At least, I don't think I do, but that's not a problem for me, this is gonna be fun!" Ben said enthusiastically, cutting the princess off as Twilight cheered, knowing her new friend she summoned from Faust knows where, was now gonna be her brother. The two already seemed to get along, so it seemed to work out for the both of them.
Celestia chuckled as Ben easily picked the filly up and carried her over to his new parents, who welcomed him with open arms. "Then this makes it easier. From this day forward, You will be known, as Ben Sparkle. I expect good things to come from this--"
A cracking sound interrupts the princess yet again. Everyone looks at the huge rock that was called a dragon egg, and saw it slowly cracking, a glowing light shined from within it, bleeding through the cracks.
"I'm no smart guy, but are rocks supposed to do that?" Ben asked worriedly. He set his new sister down and felt himself reaching for the watch on his wrist for some reason. It was like second nature for him to reach for it.
Soon enough, the rock/egg burst open in a flash of light, and revealed a newborn baby dragon. A purple scaled wingless dragon with green eyes and yellow-green fins or protrusions coming from its head and tail. It sat where the stone was, confused with a dopey look on its face, but when it laid its eyes on Ben and Twilight, it laughed and cooed, crawling over to them as Twilight just smiled, hugging the little dragon in her grasp.
"Can we keep him?" Ben asked, looking to the stallion and mare with a smile. Celestia smiled and laughed a bit. This truly was going to be a strange start to something new.

Author's Note
I was heavily inspired by TDR's "Twilight Gets a Puppy" Story, and wanted to try something like that, but with Ben 10.
TDR, if you read this, I don't mean to try and copy this formula, really, the story you wrote is just so good, I just had to try and make something like it, but with something I was familiar with.
If you want the story taken down or rewritten, then so be it, I'll do it.
