Chapter 2: The unlikely event

Adam heard nothing for a long time, the darkness had enveloped him, making him feel cold and lifeless, but he knew that wasn't the case. He knew he was still alive, however convincing his brain that was another thing, because it was making adrenaline like no mans business. However, he felt a slow warmth crawl up him, the same warmth he felt enetering the orb. He thought to himself, "Hm, I acctually feel quite cosy." He slowly began to regain his sences, a pleasent soft feeling from underneath him and a warmth covering him.

Two voices nagged for his attention, buzzing around his head like flies, he could not ignore them as his sences came to. However, the voices were muffled, one spoke with keen interest, whilt the other of disconcerining fear, he was unsure of his surroundings. He felt his body waking up, his brain started to put feeling back into his body, which was a grave mistake, as he yelled with pain. Nither of the voices seemed bothered with the yell, he had just realised he'd lost his voice breifly, he opened his eyes to see the inside of a treehouse. His voice came back to him and he muttered to himself, "Damn kids, my lab probably blew up and they proably found me unconcious, wanted to 'help' me again."

As he got up, he made sure to quieten himself, finally having gotten his voice back, he said to himself "Hopefully, all those years of sneaking past sleeping freinds to watch porn has taught me to sneak efficently." Indeed it had. His profound yet highly effective method of sneaking offered no one any give on his location, assuming no one saw him. He began sneaking down toward a huge libarary, down a curved staircase, when his ankle buckled and he flew head-first down the stairs. Suddenly, the voices became hushed, then the sound of... "horse shoes?!" he thought to himself. Adam thought "Damn, I've known some people with weird fetishes in my times, but somone who wears horseshoes can't be one of your regular 'run of the mill' people."

A door swung open to his right, and in came a... "DRAGON!" He yelled loudly and jumped up, he landed on his now injured leg and yelped with pain. However, what followed the dragon startled him alot more, "A pony?" he said quizically, balancing himself on his good foot. Bearing in mind gravity still has it in for adam, he harsly slammed to the ground as soon as he lost balance. The purple pony introduced itself with somthing of a calculating tone "Hello there, I'm Twilight Sparkle, this is Spike, my baby dragon. However, I'd like to skip formailities, please tell me who and what you are."

He gawped at her, his expression must be quite a sight, for the pony blushed to herself akwardly. He said "Fix my ankle, then give me over my stuff, then I'll tell you who I am, I promise, deal?" At this, the pony looked at him, her horn glowed bright purple, his ankle was immediately moved back into place, and his huge bag was teleported right next to him. He looked at the bag, slightly startled and said to himself with a little bit of a stutter "M.m.m.my n.n.n.n.n.name's Adam, I'm a Hu.hu.hu.hu.human." an unusual shyness caused him to stutter, which came from his anxiety of the world.

Twilight looked at him, slightly puzzled, she looked at her companion, Spike, for any help, but to no avail. she said quizically "What are Humans, then?" at this, Adam raised himself to his full standing height of 6ft 8" the 3 ft pony a dwarf to him by sheer comparison. She looked up at him, he picked up the bag he took with him and opened it, from it he removed a thick, leatherbound book and then sat down. The book was made from very strong tanned leather and had tested time for longer than any other books passage.

He said to the purple pony, "This is a book, entitled 'An anthology of Human-kind' please be careful with it, it is my only copy, but I guess I can let you have it, seeing as you have an immaculate library." Twilight squealed with delight, Adam did not initially know this, but she was really into books and studying. He felt the ponys front legs wrap around hs shoulders as he was pulled into a hug. He did not know it, but he had just given Twilight the best gift she could hope to recive, more books.

He closed the bag, as he did so, Twilight and spike talked to Adam about the place he was in, catching him up to speed as much as they could. "So you're telling me I'm in another universe, another time, with different people and a new life?" of which the pony and the dragon nodded. Adam didn't seem to adoment about the whole idea, in fact, he was quite reluctant.(See what I did there? ADOM-ent, oh fuck you, that's funny, also, expect more puns.) Twilight suddenly gapsed, he looked at twighlight with a raised eyebrow.

"We should take you to see Princess Celestia right away!" she looked excited with the idea, however adams thoughts were still trying to comprehend the fact that he had ventured into his own twilight zone.(More puns) He said "I have never gotten on well with royalty." This was a known fact for Adam, last time he'd met a princess, he accidentally managed to fart right into her face, and he REALLY didn't want to elaborate on that with a flashback either. Adam looked out as Twilight opened up the door of her treehouse out into the open world. He heard birds singing and animals playing, and it was clearly quite early in the morning.

Ladies and Gentlecolts of all colours could not help but stare at Adam, some of them looked taken aback at his appearance. He sighed slightly as Twilight summoned a carrige, drawn by gleaming golden armoured white war pgasi. He said to Twilight, "This almost seems like a rather fairytale way to get somewhere." of which she laughed. He also allowed himself to relax, but his demeanour stopped being relaxed the second the carrige gained a high enough velocity.

He yelled at twilight through the gusting wind, "How fast does this go?!" of which she heard her reply "Well, we'll be flying in a second, so I'd guess an hour!" As soon as he heard the response, he gulped "Flying... Why flying?" the carrige took off into the air as the pegasi spread their wings. His initial yells of terror were drowned out by the billowing winds, but slowly, as he realised that there was no particular way for gravity to begin hating him here. He relaxed slightly, his un-covered shaggy mane of brown hair blustering wildly in the wind. A small smile crept on his face, a rarity by his standards.

About an hour later, they arrived at the canterlot castle, Twilight told him everything about canterlot, as well as how to act there, he ignored the "Acting lessons"
