The Syknoian War: Part One

Three years ago...

A message came from Flurry Heart, who was the only survivor when a Syknoian queen hatched on board the Harmony during a lab experiment. The queen had eaten Twilight and her friends alive and spat acid on Spike which took his life at a slower pace. The message was a warning that this alien race was coming to attack Equus and led Cadence to organize an army of soldiers from around the world.

The first attacks came three months after Cadence got the message. The defense soldiers succeeded in protecting the world and took out the two large swarms of Syknoians. Very few lost their lives in the battle. One of the Syknoian ships began to retreat and a probe was launched from Eqqus to trace it back to the home world. The star coordinates for the new home planet were X: 62, Y: 81, Z: 17. Satellites were dispatched to locate any defenses and the searches came back positive for three squadrons that were based on captured planets and moons.

Cadence signed a contract to allow a fleet of starships to be constructed in order to drive back and eventually take out the Syknoians. The ships had all of the weapons that were built during Eqqus' involvement with the Christian Fleet. Six command vessels were built as well to hold all of the smaller ships. These command ships had their own weapons as well and were equipped with star drives in order to travel long distances in just minutes. The training was grueling and took nine months for everyone to get ready for the war. Once it was time to engage the enemy, Cadence called a meeting to decide who would be in charge of the six branches of the fleet.
