Preparing for the Catastrophe

Canterlot

The ponies in Canterlot were cleaning up the mess caused by Salunga's rampage and his subsequent battle with Jet Jaguar and Anguirus. It felt nice to be able to see the blue sky again now that the thick haze of red mist was gone — or rather, converted into the gigantic red crystals that now riddled Canterlot. Despite the absence of the Archetype, the ponies were still left without their magic. However, while things outside had calmed down for the most part, inside one particular house, things were very different.

The Mane Six and Mane Five along with Spike were inside Moon Dancer's house, which was a mix of part library and part laboratory, with little else in-between. Jet Jaguar and Anguirus had to stay outside, given that they were too large to fit through the relatively small door. Inside, the Mane Six and Mane Five were gathered together and stood in front of the house's owner.

"Okay. So, can you explain this to us one more time?" Rainbow Dash asked, still not fully able to wrap her head around what Moon Dancer explained not too long ago.

"Look at it this way: We often think of time as like a river, flowing continuously in a single direction. But what if that interpretation isn't quite right? What if time is more like a hose, with water continuously flowing inside it?" Moon Dancer asked. "The Archetype... it does more than just absorb magic and create monsters. I discovered that it exists in multiple dimensions simultaneously, and it can also alter time and space. This means the Archetype exists across all timelines simultaneously; past, present, and future."

The ponies murmured in fascination and surprise, especially Twilight, Sunny, and Zipp. The 'scientist part' of Twilight was absolutely ecstatic at this incredible discovery and she had to restrain herself from asking her friend from a plethora of questions or taking notes on the spot.

"Well, that explains why this Archetype is also present in our time." Hitch noted, remembering the incident in Maretime Bay when the Rodans invaded, and the sea turned red.

"But that doesn't explain how we time travelled." Pipp inquired.

"This is where the hose analogy comes in again." Moon Dancer stated. "As I said, the Archetype distorts time, especially in strong concentrations in specific areas. This can create a tear in the space-time continuum, like making a small hole in the hose."

"And through that hole, ponies living in one part of the hose can get transported to another!" Twilight finished, finally putting everything together.

"Exactly." Moon nodded.

"So, that's how we travelled back in time!" Sunny said in excitement. "This is so amazing!"

"That could also explain why Anguirus couldn't see into the future when we fought that thing earlier." Zipp mused, thinking back to the battle against Salunga. "Because the Archetype distorts time, it probably blurred his precognition."

"I wish that was all I discovered, unfortunately." The white unicorn said uneasily. "As we speak, the Archetype is spreading further and growing thicker. And as a result, it's slowly creating more and more tears in the space-time continuum. If this continues, it will eventually tear the entire space-time continuum apart, and all of reality as we know it... will be destroyed!"

Gasps of horror and shock filled the room. Both the Mane Six and Mane Five were now beyond horrified by this shocking revelation. At first, the sudden discovery of the Archetype and its properties were a mild concern, but as it grew, absorbing magic and summoning creatures the likes of which had never been seen before, it became increasingly apparent to them that this phenomenon could mean trouble for Equestria. But even then, at worst, they assumed it would only absorb all the magic from Equestria, similar to what Cozy tried to do. But now, they had just learned the ultimate result of what would happen should the Archetype go unchecked, and it frightened each and every one of them to their cores. This... was far greater than anything Twilight and her friends had ever faced before. A literal catastrophe of unimaginable scale.

"We have to stop this!" Rarity exclaimed.

"But how? We still don't have our magic." Rainbow Dash stated.

"And Discord probably won't be able to stop it, either." Fluttershy added, knowing that even the Lord of Chaos is vulnerable to having his chaos magic syphoned from him, as was the case when Tirek, Chrysalis and Cozy Glow rendered him powerless via the Bewitching Bell.

"I think there's a way to stop the Archetype, or at least slow it down." Moon Dancer suddenly said, prompting everypony in the room to shift their attention to her. "The Archetype has to have come from somewhere, right? In my extensive research on it, I discovered that it originates from a single source; I call this source the 'Singular Point'."

"Singular Point? That's a catchy name." Pinkie said with a smile, in spite of the dire situation.

"If we find and destroy the Singular Point, it should hopefully stop the Archetype from spreading." The unicorn explained.

"But how are we gonna locate this 'Singular Point', much less destroy it?" Applejack asked.

In response, Moon Dancer pulled out a small black device with a small screen, mounted on a handle, with a pair of antennae protruding from the opposite side. "That's why I built this special device designed to specifically detect fluctuations within the Archetype. If the fluctuations become more frequent and more powerful, the device will begin to buzz as we near the Singular Point."

"Well, that's one problem solved. What about destroying it?" Spike asked.

"That... I haven't thought about." Moon Dancer sheepishly answered.

"What about Jet Jaguar?" Sunny suggested. "He was able to turn the red mist into crystals somehow. Maybe he can destroy the Singular Point!"

"Now that you mention it, I'm also curious as to how he was able to do that." Twilight mused. "We'll need to ask him."

.

With that, the ponies and Spike exited Moon Dancer's home, where the aforementioned robot and Anguirus were waiting for them outside.

"Jet Jaguar, there's something we need to ask you." Sunny called out to the robot, who immediately focused his attention on her. "Back when you saved me from that monster, how were you able to turn the mist into these crystals?" She asked as she gestured to the massive array of crystals around them.

Jet Jaguar responded by grabbing his chest area and opening it; revealing that his chest had an access hatch, with a strange device inside. The ponies were taken aback by this sudden revelation, not expecting their robotic friend to have such a surprising feature. Their initial surprise soon gave way to an even greater fascination upon seeing the device that was inside Jet Jaguar this entire time. It was a metallic metal outer container that housed a glass cylinder located between the two pieces. Its ends were asymmetrical, with one side being longer than the other and entirely metallic. The exterior of the shorter end was rounder, terminating in a small protrusion encircled with a red ring at the base. The glass on the central container was green and transparent, with an enclosed inner container made of two half-circles sealed together inside of it.

"You had this device inside you the whole time, and you didn't inform us?!" Zipp exclaimed up at the robot, upset at the late need-to-know information that they had learned just now.

"Zipp, he can't talk, remember? So obviously he couldn't just tell us." Hitch reasoned.

"Still, he could've shown it to us when we met." The pegasus princess huffed.

"To be fair, there wasn't really any need to use it before the monkey-lizard attacked us." Izzy inquired, bringing up the logic as to why they are discovering this just now.

"Is that how you turned the Archetype into crystals?" Sunny asked, to which the robot nodded.

"This is a fascinating device, no doubt about it." Moon Dancer said in curiosity as she examined the metallic container closely. "Whoever designed this thing is probably a genius. Plus, the fact that it seemed to only affect the red mist suggests to me that it was designed specifically to counter the Archetype."

"What are you saying, Moon Dancer?" Rainbow asked.

"Most likely, Jet Jaguar was sent here from the future, likely by whoever created him, to stop the Archetype." The unicorn explained, prompting the ponies around here to look at the robot in surprise and amazement.

"You know, the more I think about it, the more it makes sense." Zipp said. "You said the Archetype affects the past, present and future simultaneously, and also explained how we literally time-travelled in the past. This is the only possible explanation, honestly."

"Is it true, Jet Jaguar? Are you really from the future like us?" Sunny asked him, to which the robot once again nodded in affirmation.

"This is so cool! It's like that one movie where a robot pony is sent to the past to terminate a certain pony!" Izzy exclaimed. "Except the robot is the good guy this time!"

"That sounds like an awesome movie!" Pinkie said in excitement.

"Oh, you bet it is!" The lilac unicorn grinned.

"I hate to interrupt you both, but we have a crisis to stop right now." Pipp told the two, sounding a little annoyed.

"Alright, then. Here's the plan: We use Moon Dancer's device to find the Singular Point, and then use whatever this device inside Jet Jaguar is to hopefully destroy it." Twilight declared.

"That... sounds like a straightforward and pretty simple plan, Twi." Rainbow mused.

"Well, it's better than not being able to do anything." Applejack shrugged.

"But we're gonna have to locate the Singular Point as quickly as possible." Moon Dancer stated worriedly. "I don't know how much time we have left or how far the Singular Point is from us. It could be outside of Equestria's borders, for all we know."

"In other words, we need to get to the Singular Point as quickly as possible." Spike concluded. "Since none of you can fly right now, I guess I'll have to do it."

"No way, Spike!" Twilight immediately protested. "Even though you're the only one here who can fly right now, it's still too dangerous. The Rodans will attack you as soon as they spot you flying!"

"Plus, Jet Jaguar is the only one who can possibly destroy the Singular Point right now." Hitch added.

"But he can't fly, either. So how are we gonna do this?" Pipp asked, getting more frustrated at how difficult their task is turning out to be.

Sunny placed a hoof under her chin and frowned as she contemplated deeply. If only Jet Jaguar could somehow fly, this would be a little bit easier to manage. That was when a bright idea suddenly popped in her mind like a light bulb going on over her head. "Moon Dancer, how fast do you think you can build a machine with rotors for propellors?" She asked the unicorn, who looked at her in surprise.

"Umm...an hour or two, give or take. Why? Do you have a plan?"

"I sure do. We're gonna make Jet Jaguar fly!" The apricot pony exclaimed as the ponies around her stared at her in surprise and confusion.

"Umm... What?" Was all Rainbow could mutter upon hearing this.

"Back in Canterlogic, Phyllis Cloverleaf was designing a product that would allow Pegasi who are injured or disabled to be able to fly. We can use the blueprints from that to make something that can make Jet Jaguar fly!" Sunny revealed. Zipp quickly realized what her friend was referring to, and she instantly perked up.

"That's right! Yeah! That could definitely work!" The older princess of Zephyr Heights smiled.

Twilight and her friends were still not sure what Sunny and her friend were referring to, but judging from the few important details they just heard, it sounded like a decent plan. The mention of a product that allowed disabled Pegasi to fly certainly caught the interest of Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, but they decided to hold their questions for the time being.

Crystal Empire

Thanks to being located farther up north of Equestria's border, it took quite a while for the Archetype to reach and spread into the Crystal Empire, but nonetheless, spread it did. Fortunately, Twilight had sent a letter to Princess Cadance and Prince Shining Armor, warning them of the rapid spread of this mysterious substance and everything it was capable of before she and Spike were robbed of their magic. Thanks to this early warning from the Princess of Friendship, Cadance and Shining Armor were prepared for something like this to occur at some point, though they had no real way of halting the spread of the Archetype once it arrived. Cadance initially considered creating a barrier around the Crystal Empire, but quickly dropped the idea when she remembered the crucial information about the Archetype's capacity to absorb all magic. Thus, the best she and her husband could do was to alert their citizens and inform them of the possibility that they could all lose their magic, as well as to post extra guards to be on the lookout for the monsters that tend to manifest in the presence of the red mist.

Even though they were prepared for this scenario, neither Cadance nor Shining Armor could forget the terrifying sight of when the Archetype finally arrived in the form of a massive crimson sandstorm that engulfed their empire. The once beautiful and vibrant environment of the Crystal Empire was soon painted a hellish crimson, as if Sombra had returned yet again. Every pony was instantly sapped of their magic, including the royal family who ruled the empire. For the most part, Cadance and Shining Armor were able to keep the crystal ponies relatively calm, and there haven't been sightings of any monsters in or near the Crystal Empire so far, thus that was a small relief.

"I hope Twilight figures out how to fix this soon." Cadance whispered to herself worriedly as she overlooked the changed landscape of the Crystal Empire from her balcony in the Crystal Castle. She watched as the crystal ponies were going along with their daily lives, or at least they were trying to. Having their home and perception suddenly altered by a thick haze of perpetual redness was not something they could simply shrug off as if it were a daily occurrence. Cadance certainly could not blame them for their uneasiness. Still, she tried her best to get her subjects to maintain the love and hope that the Crystal Empire was known for, even in this uncertain and difficult time.

"You okay, dear?" The Princess of love looked over her shoulder and saw Shining Armor approaching her, the worried look on his face reflecting her own.

"I'm fine. It's just... this whole situation worries me." She sighed.

"I know what you mean. Mysterious red mist taking everypony's magic. Strange creatures emerging from said mist. What's next? Time traveling ponies from the future?" Shining Armor added a light chuckled at the last sentence. "Then again, this isn't the first time Equestria has faced a crisis of one kind or another."

"Yeah. And Twilight and her friends are always quick to step in whenever that happens." Cadance gave her husband a faint smile. "I'm sure they'll fix this problem eventually, hopefully sooner than later. By the way, how is Flurry Heart doing?"

"She's a little frustrated at not being able to use her magic, but overall, she's fine." Shining assured her with a smile of his own.

All of the sudden, a low but loud grumble came from within the thick crimson haze at the edge of the Crystal Empire's border. Every pony, including the royal couple, immediately ceased what they were doing and turned to looked in the direction of where the sound came from. All of them hoped that it was merely their imagination, or possibly even some kind of auditory hallucination from inhaling the red mist particles. But their silent hopes were quickie proven false when the source of the sound began emerging from the thick mist.

The first thing to emerge was a huge head that resembled that of a shark crossed with a snake, with a pair of antenna-like whiskers located at the end of the snout. Everypony who could see the giant creature looked up in awe and growing terror as more of the monster's huge body emerged from the crimson haze and crossed the border as it slowly entered the Crystal Empire. Once the giant monster had fully entered the empire, the residents realized that they were gazing up at a gigantic serpent-like creature. Its huge and incredibly long body was covered in an armoured exoskeleton, complete with two rows of fins running along both sides of its long body, and a tail that terminated in a single tail fin. The creature possessed a pair of mantis-like claws on the anterior part of its long body, and webbed hind legs on the posterior part.

The terrified residents of the Crystal Empire were staring at an abnormally large Manda, one that had left the water and begun exploring the land. Whereas most of its fellow Mandas were 210 meters long at most, this one was 300 meters long. A giant even among its own kind.

Shining Armor and Cadance stared at the kaiju in shock as they could hardly believe their eyes. They were prepared to face monsters that might emerge from the Archetype, as per Twilight's warning. They had expected to fend off some of the flying bird-like creatures that have become increasingly common across Equstria, but they were completely unprepared for something like this. And to make matters worse, all of them were now without magic and completely powerless.

"What in the world is that thing?" Shining Armor quietly asked, his voice edging on panic.

"I... I guess it must be one of those monsters that manifest from the Archetype, like Twilight warned us." Cadance gulped.

"How are we supposed to stop something like that? Without any magic, no less." Shining asked.

Letting out another guttural growl, the Manda begins slithering towards the towering Crystal Castle that stood before it. Crystal ponies below screamed in terror as they galloped away from the huge serpent as fast as they could. Manda seemed indifferent to the destruction it was causing, the homes it was crushing underneath its bulk, and the ponies trying desperately to get away from its path of destruction as it continued slithering its way ever closer to the castle. A few brave royal guards made futile attempts to stop the approaching kaiju by hurling spears at it, only for their weapons to harmlessly bounce off of the beast's armoured hide, with Manda not so much as felling their pitiful attack or acknowledging their existence.

"We have to get Flurry Heart and get out of here!" Shining Armor exclaimed.

"But what about everypony else?" Cadance asked, only to be interrupted by a sudden tremor that shook the entire castle. Looking over the edge of the balcony and down below, the royal couple saw that Manda had already reached the base of their castle and had begun climbing up the Crystal Castle in the same way a snake would climb a tree. Its long body was coiling around the tall castle in a spiral as it continued slithering up.

Seeing the imminent danger their family was in, Cadance and Shining Armor rushed inside and galloped towards their daughter's room as quickly as they could. Opening the doors, they saw Flurry Heart whimpering in her bed and hugging her favourite toy tightly, terrified of the extreme tremors that were shaking her room. Wasting no time, Cadance gently scooped up Flurry with her foreleg and placed her on her back. As they exited the room, the trio stopped dead in their tracks when they saw Manda's reptilian eye staring directly at them through the nearest window. Cadance gasped while Flurry hid behind her mother in fright. Shining Armor stepped in front of his family to protect them. Even though he was deprived of magic, Shining was not one to simply give up and back away from a fight, especially when the lives of his family are on the line.

However, before the serpent could do anything else...

*SKREOOOOOOOOOONGK!*

A loud, primal roar stopped Manda's advance, prompting the beast to withdraw its head from the window and shift its attention towards the farthest edge of the Crystal Empire. Then, from the thick haze, a looming figure that easily towered over all the crystal buildings came into view. The ponies, as well as Manda, watched in awe and shock as another gigantic reptilian creature emerged from the red mist, stomping a three-clawed foot into the empire. The emerging new monster was not quite as long as Manda, even with its absurdly long tail (which was significantly longer than its body), but it was certainly more massive — and far more terrifying, to boot. It was a bipedal creature that stood on two muscular legs and walked in an upright posture. Three rows of dorsal spines shaped in the form of maple leaves ran along its back and tail. The spines themselves had a bone-white texture, as well as sporting red, vein-like markings. The kaiju's body was covered in segmented armoured skin that was a deep charcoal coloration, in contrast to the coloration of its spines. Its draconic head was like something straight out of a nightmare, with a very large mouth that was lined with multiple rows of sharp teeth, and sporting a pair of pronounced fangs located on the upper jaw. The beast also possessed relatively small arms tipped with four claws each, and numerous smaller, white-coloured spikes located atop its head, as well as two rows of the same spikes located along both its forearms.

At last, the Monster King had reached his fourth and final form: Godzilla Ultima.

Godzilla sets his fearsome gaze on the giant serpent that was wrapped around the Crystal Castle in a spiral, and he let out another mighty roar at Manda, a clear challenge. The giant serpent responds with a roar of its own and slowly begins to descend to the ground by uncoiling its huge body from the castle. Inside, the royal couple tried to comfort the crying and terrified Flurry Heart as the castle shook from Manda's excess mass being removed. Finally, the room ceased shaking, indicating that the giant serpent had fully released its grip from the castle. Miraculously, the Crystal Castle was still in one piece after the kaiju descended.

Once on the ground, Manda raised the anterior part of its body off the ground like a cobra and look Godzilla directly in the eyes. After exchanging roars one more time, the two kaiju began charging at one another, uncaring of any buildings or ponies that were unfortunate enough to get caught in their paths. The entire empire shook as soon as the two monsters crashed into one another with their tremendous weights. As soon as they clashed, Manda made its first move by immediately coiling its long body around Godzilla's, primarily around his torso, in an attempt to restrain and constrict him, causing the saurian to roar out in anger. After having wrapped most of its body around his opponent, the giant serpent then carefully maneuvered its head around the back of Godzilla's head to avoid the latter from biting back, before lunging at the saurian with its mouth wide open and sinking its sharp teeth in the side of his neck. The Monster King let out a roar of pain and tried to bite back, but most of his body was restrained by Manda's muscular coils and the serpent's body was out of biting reach, with the serpent having a firm hold on his neck with its vice-like jaws, preventing him from retaliating. To the ponies watching this, including Shining Armor, Cadance, and Flurry Heart — who were now watching the battle from their balcony of their castle in awe and horror — it seemed like Manda had won.

But that assumption soon changed when they saw the dorsal plates on Godzilla's back start glowing a bright neon-blue colour, in stark contrast to the redness around himself. The glow began from the base of the back of the neck before running down to the tip of his long tail. At the same time, the inside of Godzilla's mouth also glowed with the same bright light and colour, proceeded by seven energy rings of the same light and of various sizes forming in front of his jaws, all aligned in a row. The sight was both hauntingly beautiful and terrifying at the same time as the ponies held their breaths and watched in anticipation at what was about to happen next. Godzilla opened his jaws as wide as possible... before a concentrated beam of the same blue energy shot out of his mouth, passing through all seven energy hoops, which rapidly expanded in size and width as soon as the beam passed through them — especially those closest to his mouth. With deadly precision, the beam sliced through Manda's body like a hot knife through butter, severing the serpent's head and forelimbs from the rest of its body. The severed head released its bite from the saurian's neck and let out a dying roar before falling to the ground with a loud 'thud'. As a result, the headless body of the Manda unwrapped its coils from Godzilla's body before collapsing to the ground. Not quite finished yet, the Monster King then aimed his destructive beam upwards into the sky, penetrating the thick layer of Archetype and allowing for the rays of the sun to shine down upon his form, as if the Heavens themselves were impressed by his display of power.

Finally, the beam dissipated into nothingness when Godzilla closed his mouth, subsequently followed by the dissipation of the energy rings and the blue glow disappearing from his body altogether. As a result, the light that shined from above closed up and the perpetual redness returned.

All of the ponies stared in awe and shock at the incredible display of the Monster King's ultimate weapon: the Atomic Breath. Godzilla looked down at the lifeless body of his opponent in satisfaction. After all, the reason he came to the Crystal Empire was to put this rogue Manda in its place, and now that he had accomplished that, it was time to fulfil his duty — the reason he was summoned to this world in the first place. With a satisfied growl, Godzilla turned south and began leaving the Crystal Empire, his mighty footsteps shaking the ground beneath the ponies with each step he took. All the while, Princess Cadance, Prince Shining Armor and their daughter continued watching in silent bewilderment as the Monster King slowly left their kingdom, disappearing into the thick haze from which he came.

"Well... that just happened." Shining Armor finally managed to say.

"Did it come here to save us from the other monster... or was it here for something else?" Cadance thought out loud, completely in a loss for words herself.

Regardless of the monster's motivation for killing the serpent, the residents of the Crystal Empire sighed in relief now that they were safe for the time being.

Back inside Moon Dancer's house, the owner of the house and Twilight Sparkle were working overtime to build the device that would allow Jet Jaguar to be able to fly towards the Singular Point. Thankfully, Sunny and Zipp had been able to memorize the basic blueprint for the product Canterlogic was making, which was just enough for the brilliant minds of Twilight and Moon to start building said product from scratch. The fans that served as Canterlot's aerial defence system were a convenient help, as their instalment to the device helped speed up the ponies' work. All the while, Spike, Anguirus and the other ponies stood by, watching in anticipation to see the results of the two friends' labour. Eventually, after an hour of non-stop work, the two ponies were finally finished.

"Mares and gentleponies, I present to you... Jet Jaguar 2.0!" Twilight exclaimed and pointed at the robot in pride and joy.

For the most part, Jet Jaguar looked more or less identical... except for the square-shaped metallic backpack that was attached to his back, sporting two massive fans from the sides that pointed upwards to the sky. The fans themselves were also heavily modified with air-breathing engines to allow for better and faster propulsion. Essentially, it was a propeller pack with the two fans serving as rotors.

The ponies marvelled in awe and fascination at the intriguing apparatus. Such technology was rather scarce in present-day Equestria, but extremely common from where Sunny and her friends had come. It was no surprise that only Twilight and Moon Dancer, two of the most intelligent ponies in Equestria, could design such a thing in a short amount of time.

"That is so cool!" Izzy cried out as she ran up towards Jet Jaguar to examine the apparatus more closely.

"This apparatus is designed to help Pegasi who are disabled to fly again." Sunny explained. "It's the latest product Canterlogic was designing after the Pegasi and unicorns became friends with us."

"That. Is. Awesome!" Rainbow exclaimed in excitement. Although she had never been into engineering or machinery, anything that could help or improve flying for Pegasi and other creatures was quick to catch her interest. Something like this is just what Scootaloo needs; a helpful apparatus that will allow the disabled filly to fly through the skies with her. She will have to speak with Zipp on this later.

"But we need to test it first before we do anything else." Twilight inquired before turning towards Jet Jaguar. "Can you please try flying around?"

Nodding at the princess, Jet Jaguar activated his newly built-in fans. Gusts of wind flowed outwards from the robot as the propellors began spinning rapidly with a loud motor sound due to the engine. Slowly but surely, Jet Jaguar's feet lifted off the floor as he hovered upwards in the air, ascending higher and higher. The ponies below watched in awe as the robot began flying in circles in the air. Due to his large size and the limited flexibility of the fans, Jet Jaguar couldn't do any daredevil manoeuvres like Rainbow or Zipp could, nor could he fly as fast as them. Regardless, such aerial acrobatics were not necessary in this case, for all that mattered was reaching the intended target as quickly as possible. After several more minutes in the air, Jet Jaguar finally descended towards the ground without any unforeseen issues.

"Well, I guess that's a success then." Hitch smiled.

"And all that's left now is to find and destroy this Singular Point." Applejack said with her own smile.

"But is it okay to just let Jet Jaguar go at it alone?" Zipp asked, a bit worried. "I know he's strong, don't get me wrong, but there could be even more dangerous monsters lurking out there!"

"She does have a point, Twilight." Fluttershy agreed. "Remember that huge red sea monster that somehow turned itself to stone? There could be others like it out there."

"But we're in a race against time!" Pipp cried out. "Didn't you hear what she said? If we don't do this fast, all of reality is doomed!"

"But on the off-chance Jet Jaguar is attacked by a creature similar to what Fluttershy just described before he can reach the Singular Point, everything we worked for will be for nothing." Hitch pointed out.

"You do have a point." Twilight agreed with the sherif. "Even if the chances are slim, there's a possibility that Jet Jaguar could be attacked by something too big for him to handle. We'll need some serious backup if we'll have any guarantee of stopping this catastrophe."

"But with what? None of us have magic, Discord's probably powerless, and I can't send letters for help." Spike stated.

"We'll have Jet Jaguar fly some of us to the Dragon Lands to ask Princess Ember for help. Thanks to Spike, we know that dragons can still fly and use their fire breath." The princess explained, much to their surprise, especially Sunny and her friends.

"We're going to the Dragon Lands!?" Izzy gasped in excitement.

"Only some of us. Namely me, Sunny, and Jet Jaguar will go." Twilight said, causing Izzy and Pinkie to groan in disappointment. "He can't fly all of us to the Dragon Lands, you know."

Dragon Lands

Much like the rest of Equestria, the Dragon Lands were being invaded by the monsters that were spawned from the Archetype. Naturally, Ember and the other dragons did not take kindly to the intrusion of these unwelcome newcomers, especially as said intruders were just as hostile and territorial as themselves, and as a result, the skies over the Dragon Lands had become a battleground between the dragons and the pterosaurs. The battle intensified even more after Smolder returned and told the Dragon Lord what has been happening in the last several hours. She explained how she and her friends were attacked by a giant version of the Rodans that the dragons were now fighting against, and how an even bigger dragon-like creature with green scales inadvertently rescued them by fighting and killing the giant Rodan, before departing into the red mist. Suffice to say, it wasn't news Ember wanted to hear, as she was already struggling to fend off the invading horde of monsters in her kingdom. While the pterosaurs themselves were quite formidable, it was their sheer numbers that was proving to be their greatest asset. Every time a dragon shot a Rodan out of the sky with its fire, five more took their fallen brethren's place. It was quantity against firepower, and the latter wasn't making any progress. Now hearing that giant versions of these creatures were out there didn't help matters, especially with the presence of Mandas in the waters around the Dragon Lands. Occasionally, the Mandas would leap out of the water to catch passing dragons or Rodans out of the air, they did not care which.

Ember, who was in the frontlines battling the Rodans alongside most of the other dragons, could only hope that the ponies and other creatures of Equestria were having a better time fending off these beasts than they were, and hoped that Twilight would come up with an answer to this problem as she always done. One of the dragons, a female named Prominence, who was hovering in the air and serving as a sentry, spotted an unusual-looking flying silhouette emerging from the crimson haze, approaching her and Ember, who was nearby, firing waves of fire at any Rodan that came at her.

"Dragon Lord Ember, another one of these pests is approaching! And it looks a bit bigger than all the others so far." Prominence exclaimed.

Ember quickly turned to face the unknown approaching assailant, a hardened glare on her face as she was ready to breath fire at the incoming threat — but she quickly stopped herself when the flying figure fully came into view, accompanied by a very familiar voice.

"Ember!" Twilight cried out.

Ember and Prominence blinked at the unusual sight. It was Twilight Sparkle alright, but she wasn't flying on her own. Instead, she and another pony the dragons didn't recognise were held in the metallic arms of an even weirder-looking creature that seemed to be made of metal. Said metallic creature was flying using two large fans attached to its back, an interesting thing, Ember had to admit.

The Dragon Lord quickly flew over to the robot, a relieved smile on her face. "Twilight, am I glad to see you."

"Heh. That makes two of us, Ember." The alicorn smiled back.

"Umm. Not to sound judgmental or anything, but why aren't you flying with your wings?" Ember asked curiously.

"Well, it's a long story. Let's land on the ground first." Twilight suggested, to which the dragon nodded.

"Yeah. The sky's basically a battleground at this point."

.

Minutes later, after landing on the ground, Twilight and Sunny informed Ember and the other dragons of everything that has been happening in Equestria, including how they and every other pony had been robbed of their magic by the Archetype (while dragons were comparably unaffected), as well as the imminent danger of the world ending because of the Archetype and the plan they came up with to stop.

"Sheesh. Things are this bad, huh?" Ember rubbed her forehead as she took everything in.

"I'm afraid so. Also, my friend here, Sunny, is from the future." The princess said, introducing the Earth pony to the Dragon Lord.

"I'm honoured to meet you Dragon Lord Ember." Sunny said with a polite bow.

"Huh. I've never seen a pony with this kind of manners. I'm impressed." The Dragon Lord smiled at Sunny.

"So, will you help us destroy the Singular Point I mentioned?" Twilight asked.

"C'mon, Twilight. You're trying to stop the world from being destroyed. Of course we'll help!" Ember smiled proudly and folded her arms over her chest.

"Thank you." The Princess of Friendship smiled.

Equestria, the once beautiful land of the ponies where friendship, generosity and love reigned supreme, so catching to the eye it attracted many other creatures from foreign lands to learn friendship, has been all but transformed into an environment straight out of an alternate dimension inhabited by eldritch monstrosities that ponykind couldn't imagine — and it wasn't going to stop just there. With the increase of Archetype, a bizarre and reddish moss-like substance had begun growing from various terrestrial surfaces all over Equestria, transforming the beautiful greenery of the land into a hellish landscape. Having practically consumed all of Equestria and made it a paradise for the strange menagerie of creatures that were spawned from and thrived within the red mist, the Archetype was now spreading outwards towards the surrounding lands, both via the air and the ocean.

It was a mirror of the very terrifying possibility that the Mane Six imagined when they first learned of the Archetype, a visual replica of their greatest fears.

Within the conflagration, the King of the Monsters was marching onwards unequalled and unopposed through the blood-red sandstorm of his own making, his charcoal-black scales continuing to shed more wisps of the maroon particles. His draconic and unblinking gaze stared at nothing in particular, concealing whatever mysterious thoughts that dwelled within the mind of the kaiju. Rising his head through the clouds of crimson, Godzilla ululated a world-shaking roar of sheer unfathomable power. A roar that warned any and all nearby creatures who may be foolish enough to challenge him that he, and he alone, was the undisputed King of all Monsters.

Flocks of Rodans flew beside Godzilla's gigantic form as the monster was slowly lumbering his way towards a particular location in Equestria. He did not mind their presence, as the pterosaurs were too small to pose any kind of challenge to him — and they knew it. Besides, he is currently heading to a location where he will finally initiate the final phase of his mission, in order to see if this universe is worth sparing or destroying like all the others.
